The tour of the Na Pali coast was very informative and beautiful. Make sure to wear sunscreen on the boat. Overall a great experience.

What an awesome day!

We wanted to choose a few excursions that allowed us to see most of the island and learn about the culture/history. This tour was...... AMAZING. Such a beautiful coast. The crew on the boat was more than great & very attentive to all passengers. They were all very knowledgeable about the island, and just overall made the trip fun. The provided lunch was delicious. Aside from the breath taking views of the Na Pali coast, we saw hundreds of spinner dolphins, sea turtles, seals, the forbidden island, and snorkeled. One thing I will say though, if you get motion sick, this is not the tour for you.

Loved the boat tour !

We took the 8:30 AM tour and got to see dolphins, turtles, beautiful caves and multiple waterfalls. Snorkeling was fun and could see coral reef and many types of fishes. I would highly recommend Makana Charters to my friends and family.

Deluxe Na Pali Guided Snorkel Tour with Breakfast & Lunch - Holo Holo Charters
Breathtaking views and a laid back cruise.
Reviewed by: Michael, 2020/02/11If you are looking for some great Napali Coast views from the water, look no further. This tour was the complete package with a good amount of time for snorkeling, marine life watching (dolphins, whales, sea lions), and some good ole laid back sailing. You will start in Port Allen and travel north west up the famed Napali coast. With food and refreshments along the way this is a great afternoon of sailing and taking in the sights. The water can get a little choppy out there so if you are prone to sea sickness I would recommend taking something a few hours before departure. If not it is nothing a couple of beers won't fix! I took hundreds of photos and am having even a tough time deleting the duplicates! If you have the time one day in Kauai, I would highly reccomend this tour.

HoloHolo Speedboat - Snorkel at Na Pali Coast & Explore Sea Caves (from Hanalei)
Amazing views and fun time!
Reviewed by: Missy W, 2019/05/31My husband and I loved this tour. The boat guides showed us several great ocean caves, even backing our boat into them! We also lucked out and saw 4 groups of dolphins, which is almost unheard of, as well as two groups of sea turtles! We ended our boat ride with about a half hour of snorkeling on the reef. Then we got sandwiches, chips, and drinks as we headed back to shore. Overall, we had an incredible morning on the water!

Money well-spent!

They were very attentive to our kids and kept everyone engaged and excited. The captain steered the boat with precision allowing us to get into small cave openings and over large waves.
Bring non-spray sunscreen and a hat that won’t blow off since it gets very windy. We took motion sickness pills prior to the trip which really helped.
The views were breathtaking! Highly recommend.

Beautiful scenery and Attentive crew--this tour is a must do!
Reviewed by: MsTravelGal, 2019/04/06This snorkel sail was by far the highlight of our vacation in Kauai. For years I've dreamed of sailing along the Na Pali coast and it was more beautiful than I ever imagined. The emerald cliffs were absolutely breathtaking. Other passengers spotted whales breaching the water nearby but I couldn't take my eyes of the coast. As we began our sail back to the harbor we were accompanied by a pod of dolphins who swam alongside and in front of our boat for several minutes; it was magical.
My fiance's favorite part of the cruise was the snorkeling. We had so much fun swimming in a secluded cove and spotting unique marine life.
I can't leave out the exceptional crew. As we sailed along the coast they pointed out historic sites, popular film locations, famous (and notorious) hikes, and told us about the local wildlife.
We'll relish in the memories of this tour forever!

Lehua Crater & Na Pali Coast Guided Snorkel Tour with Breakfast, Lunch & Drinks
Beautiful scenery and a fun crew!
Reviewed by: Kari, 2019/01/08We had a great time on this snorkel cruise! The Na Pali Coast is gorgeous and our crew made the experience that much better by being so friendly and accommodating. They were right there if you needed anything, ready to answer any questions you had and give background information on the island, and were even offering to take pictures for you. We were fortunate to get to see so much marine life from the boat--dolphins, whales, sea turtles, manta rays, and a baby octopus. The only downside is that we wish we could have snorkeled for a longer period of time (because we love it!). The ride back to Kauai from Niihau was definitely rough, but we took Dramamine beforehand and wore sea bands, which all seemed to help. The crew definitely lightened the mood with jokes and took efficient care of those unfortunate few who got sick. We would definitely recommend this excursion!

絶好的な景色圧巻！！
Reviewed by: KEIKO ちな, 2018/10/02申し込みもぎりぎり、集合場所に到着もぎりぎり。しかし 係の人の丁寧な対応にほっとしました。何分ここは外国。レンタカーで乗り付け 心臓バクバク。乗船後も係の人が波でぬれるから、とか ランチはこれらを自由にと 親切に説明してくれました。乗船の方々もオーストラリアとかニュージーランド等々ほんとハワイの方以外の人が多くて親切でしたよ。勿論船は風を浴びて素敵な景色を満喫。良かった。勿論イルカも亀も見ることが出来幸せ感いっぱい。

海から見る 最高のナパリコースト
Reviewed by: azzurro, 2018/07/28ハナレイ湾から出発し、次々と現れるナパリの景観、朝の光に照らされる緑深い山々が素晴らしかった。ラフティングボートのため崖の近くまで行ってとても迫力があります。滝、ケーブ、海亀、イルカ、モンクシールが見れました。所々でとまって説明をしてくれました。シュノーケルもできました。
ランチのサンドウィッチ、スナック、飲み物がついています。
英語のためわからないところもありましたが、キャプテンやスタッフの方々が優しく話しかけてくれました。
大変満足しています！ありがとうございました！

Nice trip to take to see the coast
Reviewed by: capgard, 2018/07/01No complaints about the boat, captain and crew. It was all professional and attentive. Food was great, beer selection included local and usual brands. As advertised, they don't overcrowd the boat, so there's plenty of room for the passengers. I do recommend a light jacket and hat. Unless you stay in the cabin, you will get wet. How much will depend on where you sit/stand. Amazing views to be seen and we were lucky enough to see a school of porpoises jumping around the ship. Sunset off the aft (back) of the ship was worth it.

Reviewed by: 待ち時間と荒れる波, 2018/06/11心配でしたが酔い止めを飲んでいけば大丈夫でした。北からナパリコーストに向かうのですが行きは揺れが少なく所々ボートを止めて説明がありました。帰りは波に向かっての移動なので揺れが半端ないし波がかかるときもあります。説明もほどんどなく通りすぎるだけでした。スピードがあるので体が濡れたりすると寒く感じます。あと記載にボートに乗るときは裸足とありましたがウォーターシューズは履いたままでよいと言われました。プリンスビルでの宿泊でしたので移動も楽でした。集合場所もわかりやすいしボートに乗ってる時間が少ないのが一番です。

Tour good, but long for us
Reviewed by: Kathy, 2018/01/11The tour, boat, crew, food, and scenery were great. For us, water was too cold to snorkel and 5 hours was too long. Probably would have done better on a 2-3 hour cruise. We did see porpoise, turtles, a monk seal and whale spouts, so the company delivered- it was more our issues that made it too long for us. Also, it is a 1 hr, 45 min drive from princeville to marina, so should have signed up for afternoon tour, not morning.

The cat was neat clean tidy an the crew were constantly making sure we had wont for nothing. Beautiful sights of porpoises whales and turtles. Weather kept us away from Napali coast but it was still a great adventure. Moholo Holo Holo.

Amazing tour with Captain & crew out to the Na Pali Coast and Niihau island! We had an amazing time! Drew and Kamaile were awesome hosts making us feel comfortable and welcoming us all onboard. The other crew members made sure we were aware of safety and security while onboard and allowing us to experience the underwater world during our snorkeling adventures.
Lunch was light and filling at the same time, beers were always cold! Wine and beer was readily available anytime we wanted one. Fruit and humus was awesome! Homemade ranch dip and homemade humus was so delicious!
We watched the staff engage in great conversations with everyone onboard including the kids! Captain took us out to the sea caves and waterfalls up close and personal! It was such an enchanting tour and we look forward to going on another tour some time!
Bare feet on the boat is a requirement unless you have a medical condition. Dry cubbies available for personal belongings you wanted to keep dry.
I highly recommend you bring a waterproof bag to keep your personal items with you or close by you so you don't have to keep going back and forth into the cabin for the things you need. I had a large Calvin Kline bag that was waterproof and I was able to tuck it right under my seat without worrying about my personal belongings getting wet. You can bring your own snorkel gear otherwise you can use the boats gear anytime. If you haven't been on a boat or it's been quite sometime since you've been on a boat, I recommend you take dremamime or other motion sickness meds before boarding because the ride will and can be rough on the belly. Bring your own towels and don't forget your go pros and or other water proof cameras because you will be seeing lots of amazing things out there!

絶景！ナパリコースト
Reviewed by: hiro, 2017/07/26プリンスビル宿泊で、小学生の子供が２人いるので、集合場所が近いハナレイ湾出発のこちらのツアーを選びました。集合場所まで車で15分程、ナパリコーストまでの距離も近く正解でした。
ツアー中いろいろ説明してくださってましたが、英語なので分からなくて残念、英語が出来ればもっと楽しめると思います。
ただキャプテンが声をかけて下さったり、分からないなりにも楽しめました。
ナパリコーストは絶景でしたし、ケーブも面白かった、カメやイルカにも会え満足です。
ボートなので、行き帰りはスピードがでて衝撃があるので、三年生の娘は怖がってましたが、六年生の息子は楽しんでいました。
ちなみに行きは、酔い止めのせいか子供達は爆睡。高いツアー代なのにもったいなく感じましたが、子供なんでこんなものでしょう。
また、酔い止めは飲んでおく事をお勧めします
朝早く、座る場所によって波がかなりかかり、寒ったので、薄いカッパは頂きましたが、長袖を持って行った方がよいかも。

We weren't able to go to Niihau because of the high surf. We were given some options before going out. We decided to still go out and at the end they suprised us and refunded us some of our money. They are a great company--we've done this trip 3 times before with different operators, and they were great! I strongly suggest that you take Dramamine before sailing, and also take some with you. Several people got sea sick--the crew is amazing and very kind with those who are queasy. None of our family got sick--4 adults and 3 children, but we all took the motion sickness pills before embarking. The food for breakfast and lunch was plentiful and good--the drinks were flowing freely, and the crew was solicitous to every whim! They were really great with watching for safety in every way. The Na Pali Coast was breathtakingly beautiful (and I've seen it 4 times before--it never gets old!) Our captain took us very close, while crew gave us background history and information that was perfect in keeping us entertained. All in all a perfect day in every way! Thanks to Captain and Crew for making our family trip a big hit!!

They took very good care of everyone on board with info, serving food and drinks, taking photos, and even taking care of a few that were seasick. Worth every penny!!
