Great time kayaking down the river. Fun and muddy hike to a beautiful waterfall. We had lunch there and a swim and then started the trip back. Harrison was our guide so knowledge and helpful. Recommend this fun adventure.
Make sure you have good shoes for hiking in the mud.

Thanks for recommending us and for the 5 stars. On our hike to the falls we ask folks to at times to "embrace the mud" and while you are, Harrison is there to keep it fun, safe and informed.
And yes…some sort of aqua shoes or beater tennis shoes should work.

This outrigger canoe surfing ride was such a fun and authentic Hawaiian experience!!
Our family of six had a great day on the paddle and hike to Secret Falls. Our guide was Harrison and he was amazing. Fun, helpful, and gave us all kinds of cool facts and stories about the flora and fauna and people of the area. He even got a bird to eat a worm out of my daughter’s hand! The falls were huge and beautiful. An absolutely great day!
Get Harrison as your guide!
Also, wear shoes that you don’t mind ruining- serious mud on the hike!

Great experience! Enjoyed all aspects: the guides, the kayaking, hiking, the zip line & the ponds.

The kayaking experience lasted longer than I expected, and I was exhausted, but the guide provided excellent support. The sandwiches we had for lunch after snorkeling were exceptional!

This was my first time but the host was an absolute doll while kayaking she was giving us a bit of history of certain things, she was very informative very helpful and wonderful all together. If I come back and do this again I would definitely choose them to have her and her amazing personality. Thank you for showing us a good time.

A very fun adventure. Beautiful kayak trip on the Wailua River. The river was very calm and both ways were fairly easy to traverse. A little bit of wind on the way back made it a tiny bit more difficult but not much. The hike was fun. The last part gets a bit technical due to large wet rocks and such and being a bit older slowed us down some especially on the way back. Our guide, Harrison, was fantastic and helped us through the short area that was really difficult. The falls are majestic and I feel so lucky to have been there. It was a great day!
You will be very wet. Bring extra clothes.

This excursion is a must do. The views were incredible. It does take time to get there, 2 mile row in after which you hike for about 1.25 miles to the falls. The guide told us some great facts about the area. They teach you how to paddle if you have never done that before. You do have to cross the river and depending on the rainfall, it can be deep. This is mildly strenuous, you will be walking on uneven ground with rocks and cross a river, good water/hiking shoes a must. You will need to help carry the kayaks to the water and back, not very long and there are usually 4 people to a kayak to carry. Part of the trail does have wood planks to walk on, but the first part of the trail does not. It was beautiful and the falls were full when we got to the top, not always the case, depends on the amount of rainfall they have had. Highly recommend.
Get the walking sticks, very helpful when crossing the river and hiking the trail.

Fun day with the family . Loved the kayak and hike. Waterfall was beautiful but crowded with tourists (like us).

This kayaking and hiking adventure was so awesome! I was worried the kayaking and hike might be difficult but it was perfect! I’ve never been kayaking before and this was a great intro for me! The hike was absolutely beautiful as well and mostly on a board walk which is nice so you’re not having to climb through or slip in the mud. The waterfall was a tad dried up but still so
beautiful and fun to swim to. Our guide Jeff was awesome as well. Very kind and friendly and knowledgeable about Kauai. I would HIGHLY recommend the is excursion and would love to do it again!

Our friends missed out on this amazing day because they waited to book, so don't be them!
This was one of the best (if not THE best) Hawaii adventure we've been on yet. Paddling and steering the kayak was definitely difficult for us older newbies, but we were able to figure it out and not capsize.
Our guide Jeffrey was very experienced and showed great patience with the group; we felt like he was one of the reasons we enjoyed the experience so much.

The hiking trail is very slippery at times, we recommend comfortable shoes with some grip.

I am satisfied with the guides' knowledge and humor. On the way back, the kayak was moving too fast and we returned earlier than planned. It would have been better if the guide had encouraged the participants to paddle more slowly and enjoy the river cruise at a leisurely pace.
Even an 8 year old girl was able to keep up well enough.

We generally paddle as fast as the slowest person/couple and that usually allows those who are more fleet, to go at a slower pace and take in the scenery.

My husband and I, along with our 19 & 15 year old daughters, thoroughly enjoyed the Sacred Falls adventure. Kayaking up the river was peaceful and beautiful as the river is very calm. The hike was fun with some scrambling over rocks and roots and wading through streams. We enjoyed eating lunch by the waterfall before trekking back. Our guide, Izzy, was fantastic - super easy to be around, very encouraging, and she grave great beach/dining suggestions at the end. We loved it!
