NaPali coast tour
Reviewed by: Tim and Christie, 2011/08/03The Na Pali coast is gorgeous and something everyone should see, especially from the sea. Our boat sat 12 guests and was very fast, but smooth. I didn't get sea sick on this fast boat and didn't really even get wet! We did the beach landing and snorkeling. Snorkeling was good and the hike to the Hawaiian village was interesting and informative. I would recommend this activity.

fast and FUN!
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2011/07/08FAST. FUN. My family loved every minute of this tour. My kids said it was like going to an amusement park on water, thrills and adrenaline rushes and all.
We will definitely be telling our friends about it who are coming to the islands for vacation...and will most likely be back to do it again ourselves next year! thanks for a great time of fun for my family!

Boy, were we glad we took the chance! The two experiences were totally different. The sunset dinner cruise on the Holoholo catamaran was up close and personal. We recommend it highly.

A truly unique experience
Reviewed by: Mike B, 2011/02/08Wow, we new the Napali Coast was impressive but we had no idea how beautiful it would be. With blue water, amazing cliffs and dolphins swimming alongside. we even saw a few humpback whales! the staff was very friendly and the snorkeling was great. We will certainly come back!

Reviewed by: Leonard, 2010/10/05I was not pleased with the actual snorkel time we had. Also, the water was silty and it was difficult to see anything. The cruise portion was very good except that we saw most of the scenary the evening before on a dinner cruise. I would not do the snorkel and the dinner cruise in close proximity again!!

Lehua Crater & Na Pali Coast Guided Snorkel Tour with Breakfast, Lunch & Drinks

Reviewed by: Illusiv1, 2010/04/11This was an awesome experience even though the weather did not cooperate and we could not go to Niihau. Due to the tradewinds and some seriously rough seas we could not make the trip to Niihau. We found the crew very pleasant and accommodating. The views were incredible and we were able to take in an amazing whale watching session. As noted by the several this is more of a summer time tour because the weather and seas are more predictable. I believe we missed out on a bunch by not going to Niihau but the whale experience made up for it. The large boat size provides plenty of room so it's not real crowded. We saw other boats on similar trips and they appeared to be more crowded. We would HIGHLY recommend this trip.

Na Pali Coast Explorer Ocean Rafting Snorkel Tour (from Kikiaola Harbor)
Quite an adventure!
Reviewed by: Nicole, 2009/07/21This was one of the highlights of my whole trip! But first the bad stuff:
Be prepared that riding in a small zodiac very quickly through the extremely bumpy, choppy Pacific Ocean is not for the faint of heart!! You're basically holding on for dear life to a rope and you're bumping and bopping all over the place as you're speeding through the ocean. And then it rains and those drops sting you're eyes as you're speeding in a boat. If you even THINK you have a sore back or neck DO NOT do this! My boyfriend and I are both in excellent shape and we both still had soreness in our backs and butts for two days afterward from the boat ride and our knuckles were rubbed raw from holding onto the rope (we should have used the gloves the captain offered us!).
But it was SO worth it!! We even boated over a whole group of dolphins and you're seeing them way up close and personal in this zodiac rather than on a big high boat. It was so amazing!! The snorkeling is wonderful, the Na Pali Coast is

A Great Day
Reviewed by: Sadiej, 2008/07/26Captain Chris and his crew took care to make sure every passenger was looked after and made to feel at home. Watching the sun come up on the Na Pali coast was spectacular and the snorkeling spot was to die for.
The water can be rough so take precautions for sea sickness.
This was a great trip. I personally didn't need to have the "Forbidden Isle" portion. It's forbidden because you can't go anywhere near it.
All said though - a very good trip!

incredible cruise

So, for the 5th Anniversary Trip, we decided to see the Na Pail, which our friends visit Last year and recommended to us.
The Crew members were great! We were the only Japanese couple on the Boat, but they tried to understand our poor English, explain the history of Kauai, and they even sang us a Hawaiian Song after they found out this is our 5th Anniversary Trip..
Off course, the view was incredibly beautiful.
I strongly recommend this Activity for my Friend!!

Fantastic Cruise
Reviewed by: Saadia and Phil, 2008/04/23This was an awesome cruise. The captain gave us a great narrative of Na-Pali as we cruised and enjoyed the beautiful sights. The crew was very friendly and the service was excellent. As an added bonus we were able to spot quite a few whales which was an unexpected treat since it was the middle of April when most whales are on their way back to Alaska.
We had a perfect evening with minimal clouds which ended the cruise with a beauitful sunset. We also saw a dolphin as we were making our way back to the dock.
Aaron, one of the crew members also gave us alot of history on Kauai. I highly recommend this cruise!
Thanks Holo Holo Captain and crew for making our cruise such an unforgetable experience.

Captain was very good at knowing the laws governing the missle base, he slowed going up the coast after hearing over the radio they were going to launch a missle. He and the crew kept a sharp eye on the surface for any ocean activity that he could get close to while we slowed, when we got past the site he showed us some incredible scenery on the Na pali shore, my wife and I thought it was the most beautiful area we have ever seen. The snorkeling part was the only draw back, it just seemed like we were the ten thousand and one boat load of people to visit that spot. The water was nice but it was just a time killer. Overall it was worth the money and the time, The Captain and Crew did a great job, it was well worth the trip.

Seasick but Impressed
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2007/10/07I was one of the unlucky guests who experienced sea sickness. Looking back I think I could have avoided this unfortunate condition if I had consumed more water before and during the tour. I think a motion sickness medicine would have been good for me as well. I haven't had a lot of experience with boat tours, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I will next time. Even though I was sick during half of this tour I would still recommend it. The captain and crew were awesome! They were very attentive and provided a lot of information about the Na Pali coast, which is remote and beautiful. They went out of there way to make sure everyone had what they needed to have a great time. Actually, the next time I'm in Kauai I would try this tour again with the precautions I mentioned earlier. I would highly recommend this tour.

Time of our lives!!

The snorkeling was the best that we have ever seen- clear blue water, lots of fish and plenty of time to snorkel. The colors of the water were incomparable- sapphire blue, azure, teal,aquamarine and garnet green-spectacular. The service and the crew were great- they really knew all about the islands and they were experts on snorkeling.
We would go again in a heartbeat!!

Reviewed by: stephanie, 2007/07/17The captain and his crew were great. They did everything to ensure that we had a pleasurable time. The Na pali coast is incredible. Trip was good for all ages. The water can be rough, so beware if you are prone to seasickness. Only problem was hawaii activities gave us the wrong checkin time. We sat around for 1/2 hour waiting for the checkin. Also the cruise ended alot later then
we had anticipated. But in the big scheme of things , no big deal.
