This outrigger canoe surfing ride was such a fun and authentic Hawaiian experience!!

Capt Stevie and Becca turned a special cruise into something magical. Capt Stevie’s love of the land, the waters, the people, the history, and the culture of Kauai made our sunset cruise a memory for a lifetime. If I’m ever fortunate enough to get back to Kauai, I WILL be rebooking to do the sunset cruise again!

Stevie and Sage were excellent boatmen. It was very windy and choppy in the bay. The river section of the trip was better. Captain Stevie was very knowledgeable about lots of things and informative.

The captain and his 1st mate were excellent. The tour it self was very informative. It was beautiful. The only thing i would suggest maybe was to have a variety of drinks. Not so sweet and sugary. Add some vodka.

My wife and I enjoyed the boat this past Tuesday. Wendel and Mitchel were excellent and we learned a lot from the narration and information about this area. Was a enjoyable evening.

We had so much fun doing outrigger canoeing! Our instructor (sorry, don’t remember his name) was so nice. He was good at telling us what we needed to do when we needed to do it. On our first run, we were able to coast almost all the way to the beach. We went out and back I think 4 times. We did have some problems finding where we were supposed to go because the directions were a bit u clear. But we planned ahead and still got there on time. So glad we did this. We would to do it again next time we visit Kaua’i. I wouldn’t mind taking surfing lessons from our same instructor too. All in all, great time had by all.

A great way to experience surfing! Perfect for 2-3 people. Paddle captain was very friendly, helpful, and able to share lots of information. As with any outdoor activity, it is dependent on weather and conditions. Unfortunately, our morning had very calm seas. We were able to catch a few good waves, so not a complete bust!

A little disappointed that we could not see the sunset go in the ocean. We have been on other sunset cruises and always could see the sun go in the ocean but we had land block our view. The staff was great and very informative. Snack could be upgraded a little as well. Overall it was fun but not what we thought we signed up for.

We were looking for a shorter boat tour on Kauai because we can’t deal with being on a boat for too long, and I’m glad we found this one. It was a smooth and relaxing ride, lead by some friendly guys. They narrated the tour with information and trivia about the island. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the river and views of the mountains. I recommend this tour if you want a sunset boat tour that doesn’t take up all your time and avoids any risk of seasickness. Drinks included!

My wife and I had a great experience riding the surf w/ our guide Kristhian of Kauai Beach Boys on an outrigger/canoe. Great fun, great value!

Very pleasant evening cruise on the river and bay. Swells were too big to get out on the ocean.
Captain and 1st mate very friendly and the boat is very nice.

We had a great time, fun crew! We would do it again. The only thing I would recommend is maybe appetizers, snacks.

We had a great instructor who was not only knowledgeable about the area and local wildlife, but he was great at working with our two kids, (11 and 16) about how to paddle, how to work as a team, and how to listen to his instruction. The looks on their faces when we 'surfed" the waves was priceless....made it worth every minute! This was also one of the more affordable activities in an area known for expensive prices, so that was great too.

Such an awesome sunset cruise! My family absolutely loved it and all the history that came with the tour as you float down the river. The drinks were so yummy as well, would definitely recommend!

Harbor / river, narrated boat tour was wonderful. The verdant mangroves along the River and the towering green carpeted mountains were spectacular!

We did the outrigger canoe ride. This was a lot of fun! My spouse thought this was just gonna be a typical kayak, just on the ocean, so he was surprised to see the structure. Straight out of Moana! Chretien (sp?) was a great guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the water, surfing activities, and the general area. I think we caught 4 waves and hit speeds we wouldn’t have believed! I think the site said to bring close-toed shoes, but we shed shoes completely for the ride. Definitely bring a hat (for the sun), but maybe something with a strap to keep it on your head. Beware the parking area! Riddled with huge, tire-destroying pot holes!

We took the sunset cruise with Lui and Jason and it was awesome. They both were super informative and friendly, the history was very cool, and the drinks were fantastic! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do a laid back sunset cruise on Kauai.

The cruise was very relaxing and had beautiful scenery. The captain Louie and first mate/ bartender Jason were awesome. So friendly and knowledgeable. During the cruise Louie told us a lot of history. Jason made great drinks and had good conversation about Kauai. We cruised through the bay and down the river. The boat was very clean and well maintained. The only negative is that I would have liked to go down the coastline more but that’s always weather and wave depending. I would do this cruise again.

I thought I already submitted my review but I’ll do it again. Louis our Captain was very fun and knowledgeable. Jason was fun and made amazing drinks. The views were breathtaking. Something different and unique to do that was affordable on the island. I have been to the island many times but have never seen the river like this. Fun movie sites and historic landmarks. Would do it again for sure!!

at the beginning of this trip we thought the doors off helicopter ride would be the best part of this trip, but after this boat ride I’m not so sure. We couldn’t have been happier with the drinks and the comedians driving the boat. Great time. Will do again!!!

There were four of us that did this cruise together. It was very relaxing and beautiful scenery the Caption Louie and first mate / bartender Jason were very personable and knowledgeable. They had a good variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks that were served freely during the whole cruise. I would recommend this cruise however keep in mind they only go down the river and in the bay. They do not go along the coastline. If you are looking for smooth and relaxing river boat ride then you would enjoy this cruise.

We had a group of 4 people and it was a small group on board. The boat is clean and beautiful. Louis our Captain,was very knowledgeable about the history and pointed out very cool sites along the way down the river.
Jason,his crew member was very friendly and made excellent cocktails!! Both guys made our trip memorable and the beauty of Kauai was amazing. The instructions on the description through this website were a little confusing We thought we had a shore entry. They actually drive you from the Check in spot to the port. Just a few minutes away. No big deal. But a little confusing. Would definitely recommend.
