After searching online for family-friendly activities on the Big Island, I decided to go with Aloha Kona Tours, which had great reviews. My son (7 years old) and daughter (9 years old) joined me, and the staff was always attentive. The kids were able to see a pod of dolphins right in front of them while holding onto floating rings.

Although they took breaks due to seasickness, the staff continued to check on them, which made the kids very happy. It was also great that all the staff were Japanese, allowing us to snorkel without any stress. I never imagined I would see so many dolphins jumping and spinning right in front of me; it was incredibly soothing.

They were punctual and very efficient. A waterproof camera is a must. I highly recommend participating as a family. Our summer vacation diary was filled with dolphins.

I definitely want to be a repeat customer. Thank you for everything!

久々のハワイ島で何か家族で楽しめるのものはないかとネットで検索したところ、評価の高かったこちらのAloha Kona Toursさんにお世話になることにしました。
私と息子（7歳）娘（9歳）での参加でしたが、スタッフの方が常に気を配ってくれ、子供たちは棒状の浮き輪につかまりながらイルカの群れをすぐ目の前で見ることができました。
途中、船酔いで休んだりしてましたが、その間もずっと声をかけていただき子供たちもすごく喜んでいました。
スタッフ全員日本人ということもあり、何のストレスもなくシュノーケリングができたことも良かったと思います。
回転しながらジャンプするイルカを何頭も、目の前で見れるなんて想像もしなかったですしすごく癒されました。

時間に正確だし、手際も良かったです。
防水カメラは必需品です。
家族での参加はおすすめです。
夏休みの絵日記にはイルカがいっぱいでした。

またリピーターになりたいと思います。

I heard that you can swim with dolphins, but I was not expecting to be able to swim so close to them, which was truly moving.

There were other dolphin tours available, but the limited number of participants was a deciding factor for me. The staff were very accommodating, which made me feel secure participating in the tour. There was one child who joined with their mother, and I appreciated how well the staff interacted with the child.

I was able to see many dolphins up close (the staff were shouting from the boat, directing us to look this way and that. It's surprising how you might miss them even when you're right next to them), and it was a very enjoyable tour. I will definitely participate again when I visit the Big Island.

The staff seemed to almost forget to collect the fees from the participants on the day, so that might be why there were no snacks provided. However, we did receive juice. Well, that's not something I was primarily expecting, so it wasn't a problem at all, but I wanted to mention it for future reference.

I had a great time. Thank you very much.

他にもイルカのツアーはありましたが、定員の数が少ないというのも決め手でした。スタッフのみなさんの対応も大変よくて安心してツアーに参加できました。ひとり、お子さんがお母さんと参加していましたが、そのお子さんに対するスタッフさんの対応も気持ちがよくて私は好きでした。

たくさんのイルカを間近でみることができ（スタッフさんも海の中、船の上からこっち、あっち~と叫んでくださいます。そばにいても意外と気づかなかったりするものなんですね）とても楽しいツアーでした。ハワイ島に行ったらまたぜひ参加します。

当日参加の方の代金の回収すら忘れちゃいそうになってるスタッフさんだったのでその延長かもしれませんが、スナックはありませんでしたね。ジュースはいただきましたけれど。まあ、そこはメインで期待している部分ではないので全然問題ないですが一応記載事項でしたので今後のためにも書いておきます。

This was one to remember.

We had a ball. The coast line scenery was breathtaking, just wonderful. Remarkable side of Kauai that you can not see any other way as there are no coastal roads on that side of the island. When you go on this trip you will see why.

This one I would recommend for sure.

Planning for this trip - you will want, flip flops (because you won't wear them on the boat so something light you can take off and leave in their storage locker), camera, sunglasses, and ready for a fun time. The boat is a catamaran and built perfect for this. The Captain and crew were awesome.

They serve dinner as per the tour and its a nice but very informal meal, sit where you can. So, if you are expecting 4 or 5 star and want to sit down and eat on china this you will not get that. But its fine food - teenagers loved it so you get the idea. They have a bar so just watch how much you drink becuase the ride can and does get bouncy.

With the gentle and fun guidance of Koichiro and Michi, we had a great encounter with the dolphins, and there were moments when they swam alongside us. Experiencing the graceful and charming movements of the dolphins brought me immense happiness.

This was my first time participating in Mr. Nawata's tour, but it was my second time on the dolphin tour in Hawaii Island. Since it was my second time, he tried to take us to a different northern point than last time, but unfortunately, we were informed that there were no dolphins in the north that day... so we moved back to the same southern area as before. However, I was really happy about his consideration.

During the first swim, dolphins were everywhere around me. No matter how many times I went in, there were dolphins all around. Dolphins to the right, dolphins to the left, dolphins in front, behind, and below. They even swam right in front of me on purpose, spinning around, and it felt like I jumped right into the pod! Such an exciting and fulfilling activity always feels fresh and brings new discoveries, no matter how many times you experience it. I am grateful for the great nature of Hawaii Island and for Mr. Nawata. Thank you very much.

Swimming with dolphins has been a dream of mine for many years, perhaps influenced by the show "Flipper" I watched as a child.

I never expected to swim with so many dolphins...

As I entered the water at the call of Mr. Nawata, I found myself surrounded by a pod of dolphins.

The dolphins were swimming in a playful cluster, some were with their young, and when I was focused on the ocean floor, they would suddenly appear right in front of me.

I could even hear the sounds the dolphins made and clearly see their droppings!

Changing spots, I jumped back in at the command of "Okay, go down," and to my surprise, there was even a manta ray! I was so captivated by the manta ray that I completely forgot about the waterproof camera I had bought for this day.

I tried to dive like Leo, who was with us, but unfortunately had to give up due to the weight of the fat on my body.

When I returned to the boat and learned that Leo was a national record holder in freediving and had connections with Jack Mayol, I was astonished...

After enjoying another round of swimming with the dolphins, I felt completely satisfied.

I apologize for any unpleasantness caused by my seasickness during the trip... but it was such an amazing experience that I forgot all about it. I never imagined I would be able to swim with dolphins at such a close distance!!

マンタに釘付け。

同行されたレオさんを真似て潜ってみようとチャレンジしましたが、身体に背負った脂肪のせいか、あえなく断念。

ボートに戻って伺ったら、なんとレオさん、フリーダイビングの全米記録保持者で、
あのｼﾞｬｯｸ・ﾏｲﾖｰﾙとも親交があったとは・・・

その後、もう一度いるか達との泳ぎを満喫し、
満腹気分で終了となりました。


途中、船酔いのためお見苦しいところをお見せして申し訳ありませんせした・・・
が、船酔いなんて忘れるくらい素晴らしい体験でした。
まさか、いるかが手に届く距離で一緒に泳げるとは思ってもみませんでした！！

次回は、ぜひマンタのツアーに参加しようと思っています。

I dove into the area where the dolphins were swimming, and I was surprised when a pod came towards me?!

I was able to see many dolphins. There were dolphins jumping and spinning like in a show, playful dolphins, and mother-and-baby dolphins as well.

I felt surrounded, as if I was swimming with them.

I love the sound of dolphins, so being enveloped by their voices made me very happy.

I participated because it departed from the pier in front of the Hilton and the price was low, but we didn't see any whales, and the one-hour sailing ended in no time.

But when you book a snorkeling cruise because that's what we wanted to do and there's no snorkeling and no explanation as to why, that's why I'd say this is a rip-off.

We participated as a family. Thank you for preparing prescription goggles for my nearsighted son. We had the precious experience of being surrounded by dolphins. It was an indescribable emotion. The staff were very kind and their work was professional! When I called the day before, they properly informed me about the meeting place and precautions, which was very helpful. Not only did we see dolphins, but we also spotted manta rays and whales. I felt the beauty of nature on the Big Island, as well as the warmth of the people. The other families who participated were also very friendly, making it a fun time. I absolutely recommend this tour!

On March 4, 2012, I participated in a tour with Aloha Kona Tours for my honeymoon. During this time, if you're lucky, you can see not only dolphins but also whales.

We were fortunate enough to encounter whales. Moreover, we were much closer than typical whale watching experiences (within 10 meters). In fact, they were swimming right under the boat. On our way back after swimming with the dolphins, a whale jumped right in front of us. I was so excited that I couldn't say anything other than "Wow!" (It was the same for Mr. Nawata from Aloha Kona Tours, right? lol)

There are various discussions about Japan's whaling practices, but I think this experience is one that everyone should have if possible. It had a significant impact on my personal perspective.

There were also plenty of dolphins. I was able to swim while dolphins were right in front of me. Experiencing "swimming with a pod of dolphins" is something you definitely can't do in Japan. Dolphins are just so cute, and there were even mother and baby pairs. I was able to swim multiple times by anticipating the movement of the pod. I got so excited that I swam too much.

As for what to bring, in addition to swimwear, it's a good idea to have a waterproof digital camera. I'll post some photos as well.

Thanks to Mr. Nawata and Ms. Tsuyako from Aloha Kona Tours, I had a safe and incredibly fun experience. (In fact, they were enjoying it with us, too! lol) Honestly, if you're going to the Big Island, you should definitely join this tour.

この時期は運が良ければイルカだけでなく、クジラも見ることが出来ます。

また、イルカと泳いだ帰りにも目の前でクジラがジャンプしました。

日本人は調査捕鯨の話などでいろいろありますが、この体験は出来ればした方がいいと思いました。
私個人の考え方にとてもインパクトを与えました。

イルカもたくさん居ました。
目の前にイルカが居る状態で泳げました。
「イルカの群れと泳ぐ」なんて体験は絶対に日本では出来ません。
イルカはとにかくカワイイです。親子連れとかも居ました。
群れの移動に先回りして何回も泳ぐことが出来ました。
テンション上がり過ぎて泳ぎ過ぎました。

持ち物としては水着等以外にも防水タイプのデジカメがあった方がいいです。
写真も投稿しておきます。

Aloha Kona Tours縄田さん・つやこさんのおかげで、安全にとても楽しい体験が出来ました。
(むしろ一緒になって楽しんでましたね(笑)）
お世辞抜きにハワイ島へ行くならこのツアーに参加すべきです。

We participated with six people ranging from my daughter in her 20s, to those in their 30s and 50s, and my mother who is 88 years old.

At the beginning, those who wanted to hear the explanation in Japanese gathered on the deck (which is netted and allows you to see the ocean below), while the explanations inside the ship were in English, so naturally, we chose the deck. Out of the six of us, four were honestly a bit nervous sitting on the net while listening to the explanation. The Japanese explanation was enjoyable and started the time well.

Everyone took motion sickness pills just in case, but I thought being on the deck would definitely be more fun, and if you stay on the deck, you probably won't get seasick.

We caught a glimpse of a whale shortly after the cruise started, but it was hard to see more after that. However, even without seeing whales, the lively staff made it very enjoyable. We saw another whale on the return trip.

Although it wasn't extremely close, we were able to see it spouting water. We also enjoyed the view of the Waikiki hotels from the sea.

It was mentioned that two drinks were included in the ticket price, but since it was a one-hour cruise, most people probably only had one drink! I enjoyed the champagne.

I thought the cruise duration could have been a bit longer. My 88-year-old mother also had a great time, and everyone was very satisfied.

はじめに、日本語の説明を聞きたい人はデッキ（ネットになっていて下は海面が見えるところ）で、船内は英語で説明ということでしたので当然デッキで。それも6人のうち4人は正直にネットの上におっかなびっくり座って説明を聞きました。日本語堪能そして楽しい説明で時間がスタート。　
一応全員酔い止めも飲んでいましたが、デッキの方が絶対楽しいし、デッキにいれば酔うこともまずないかなと思います。
クジラはクルーズスタートから間もなくちらっと見えてあとはなかなか。でもクジラが見えなくてもノリノリのスタッフでとても楽しんでいました。復路でもう一度クジラが見えました。
ものすごく近い距離ではなかったのですが、潮を吹くところも見ることが出来ました。
海から見えるワイキキのホテル群の景色も楽しめました。
2杯までアルコールはチケット代に入っているということでしたが、1時間のクルーズなのでほとんどの人は1杯かな！？シャンパンを美味しく頂きました。
もう少し長くてもいいかなと思うくらいのクルーズ時間でした。
88歳の母もとても楽しかったと全員大満足です。
今回はキャンペーン中ということでお安く参加出来てラッキー！

Although it can't be helped that we didn't see any whales, I felt that the tour itself was different from what whale watching should be.

This time, I participated in a tour with Mr. Nawata, the same one as the manta ray tour. The manta ray night snorkeling is highly recommended, but the dolphin tour was absolutely amazing as well.

The experience involves diving ahead of the swimming course several times to chase after the pod of dolphins. Although it's quite rare, we were able to swim and play with the dolphins. They swam around us, almost touching us, and even playfully splashed us (laughs). In the clear waters where you could see hundreds of meters ahead, we truly got to "play" with the dolphins. Mr. Nawata said, "If you can't be moved by this, then there's nothing more!" It was the best experience. Just watching the dolphins swimming deep in the ocean was so beautiful that it made my mind go completely blank and filled me with happiness.

On the way back, we were taken to a beautiful beach where the locals go, and Mr. Nawata even acted as our photographer, for which I am truly grateful. I also posted a review for the manta ray night snorkeling tour, so I hope you can refer to that as well.

今回、マンタのツアーと同じ縄田さんのツアーに参加させて頂きました。マンタのナイトシュノーケリングも最高におススメですが、イルカのツアーも最っっ高でした。
内容は泳いでるコースに先回りして何度かダイブしてイルカの群れを追う？感じになるそうです。が、かなり珍しいそうなんですが私たちはイルカと一緒に泳いだり、遊んでもらう事が出来ました。イルカが自分達の周りを触れるか触れないかのところでグルグル泳いでくれたり、ウンチ？を引っかけられたり（笑）と、何百メートルも先まで見えそうな海の中でイルカとまさに『遊ぶ』ことができました。縄田さんにも「これで感動できなかったら、これ以上ないよ（笑）」と最高の体験ができました。海の中でずーっと深い所で泳いでいるイルカを観られるだけでもあたまのなかが真っ白になるくらい美しくて幸せになれます。帰りには地元の人が行くきれいなビーチに連れて行ってもらい縄田さんにカメラマンをしていただいたりと本当に感謝でいっぱいです。マンタのナイトシュノーケリングツアーの方にもレビュー載せましたのでそちらも参考にして頂ければと思います

I want to swim with wild dolphins! I participated to fulfill a dream I've held for many years. That said, since they are wild dolphins, I honestly thought I would just be watching them from a distance. However, in reality, I was able to swim with many dolphins at a distance that felt almost within reach!! I also swam very close to a manta ray! Our nature guide, Mr. Nawata from Aloha Kona Tours, was very kind and attentive, allowing me to swim without any anxiety, even in the ocean for the first time abroad. In fact, seeing Mr. Nawata enjoying himself even more than the participants (in a good way) made us smile and completely forget our tension and worries. He was a wonderful person whose love for the ocean, nature, and HAWAII truly shone through. The endlessly blue and clear waters of the Big Island... the friendly and adorable eyes of the dolphins... the majestic sight of the manta ray swimming gracefully... It was truly an experience beyond imagination... I lost track of time and swam with enthusiasm!! I definitely want to participate again someday.

長年あたためてきた夢を叶えるべく参加しました。
とはいっても野生のイルカなので一緒に泳ぐというよりも遠くから眺める程度かなと…正直なところそう思っていました。

どこまでも青く澄んだビッグアイランドの海…イルカ達の人懐こく愛くるしい瞳…悠然と泳ぐ雄大なマンタの姿…
まさに想像を超えた体験…時間も忘れて夢中で泳ぎました！！
いつかまた必ず参加したいと思っています。

I had a truly wonderful time participating in this tour. The attention to detail from the Japanese guide made me feel 130% satisfied as a tour participant.
1) Punctuality
2) There were six participants, but the guide's awareness of each participant underwater was impressive. When I accidentally swallowed some seawater and felt a bit uncomfortable, the staff quickly noticed and asked for a tube and support for me, which was really helpful.
3) No wasted time.
4) The guide shared some of their favorite spots on the Big Island.
While these points may seem simple, I believe they are important aspects of any tour. The support from such a wonderful guide made for a fun experience and will definitely lead to repeat visits.

I participated with three female friends who are also golf buddies on November 30.

Since it was the first experience for me and another friend, we were a bit nervous, but we were able to enjoy it without any worries.

On this day, we were lucky enough to have a pod of dolphins come into the bay, so we could snorkel there without moving and saw the dolphins over and over again.

The water was incredibly clear, and the dolphins swam in groups, diving deep and then coming up to the surface, jumping right in front of us, which was so exciting. Even though we couldn't catch up, we couldn't help but chase after them in excitement. I even saw a baby dolphin swimming while nursing from its mother. I can't count how many times I ended up swallowing seawater from excitement... (laughs) Even now, just remembering it brings back those emotions.

That said, we were very grateful to our guide, Mr. Nawata. While we were in the water, he constantly made sure we were safe as we swam around excitedly, sometimes diving to take pictures of the dolphins, taking pictures of us, and pulling us in the direction where the dolphins were likely to come...

The beautiful gradient of the sea color at the beach that Mr. Nawata recommended on the way back was also breathtaking.

There are many similar tours, but we all agreed that we were glad to have participated in Mr. Nawata's tour!

私ともう一人は初体験だったので、少し緊張してたのですが不安なく楽しむことができました。

この日はラッキーなことに、入江にイルカの群れが来てたので、移動することなく　ずっとそこで　シュノーケリングでき　何度も何度も　イルカたちを見ました。　

海の中はすごい透明で、群れで泳いでるイルカたちが　深く潜っていき、それから海面に上がってきて、目の前でジャンプしたり、と　大興奮でした。　　追いつくはずもないのに、思わず夢中で追いかけてしまいます。
赤ちゃんイルカがお母さんのおっぱいを飲みながら泳いでいるのも見ました。
興奮して叫んで何度海水を飲んだことか・・（笑）
今思い出しても　あの感動が甦ります。

それにしても　ガイドの縄田さんにはお世話になりました。
海に入ってる時は、上記のように興奮して泳ぎ回ってる私達に絶えず気をつけてくれ、時には　潜ってイルカの写真をとったり、私達の写真をとってくれたり、イルカの来そうな方向に引っ張って行ってくれたり・・
帰りに連れて行ってくれた、縄田さんお薦めのビーチのグラデーションの美しい海の色も感動ものでした。

同じようなツアーはたくさんありますが、この縄田さんのツアーに参加してよかった！と全員一致しました。

I was surprised to find dolphins as soon as we went out to sea. Once we entered the water, I could hear the dolphins' calls, and I was deeply moved to see them swimming close by and in groups. On the way back, a mother and baby dolphin swam right next to our boat, allowing us to see wild dolphins up close.

Additionally, both the captain of the boat and the local Japanese guide were very kind, and we had a wonderful time.

　海に出てすぐにイルカを見つけることが出来てびっくりしました。海に入るとイルカの鳴き声が聞こえ、自分の近くを泳いで行ったり、群れで泳いでいる姿を間近で見れたり、とっても感動しました。帰りも船のすぐ横を親子のイルカが一緒に泳いでいたりと本当にすぐ近くに野生のイルカを見ることが出来ます。
　また船のキャプテンも現地日本人ガイドの方もとっても親切で、楽しい時間を過ごす事ができました。
