This was my first time in Hawaii.
I only participated in this optional tour.
The sunset went by in an instant, but the 360° view of the horizon during sunset was breathtaking!
The starry sky in Maui was filled with so many stars, so close that it was dazzlingly beautiful.
However, what made this tour great was not just the sunset and the starry sky.
It was the guidance of our friendly guide and the drive to the summit of Haleakalā!
I learned a lot about Maui, and the guide helped me when I was struggling with English at the hotel.
Honestly, without this person, my enjoyment of Maui might have been halved (laughs).
And the drive to the summit, which I never even thought about... was so much fun!
We drove above the clouds! I never imagined that (laughs).
The wonderful scenery and the guide's stories made for an enjoyable drive!

However, one thing I thought I should be careful about next time is to take it easy on the day I arrive in Hawaii and rest my body.
I couldn't sleep much on the flight there and was sleep-deprived.
If you want to enjoy Hawaii 100%, I think it's best to have a relaxed schedule on the first day.

サンセットはあっという間でしたが、360°ほぼ地平線のサンセットは、圧巻でした！
マウイの星空も、すごくたくさんで、すごく近くて、目がおかしくなるほどの美しいキラメキでした。
ですが、このツアーの良かったところは、サンセットや星空だけでありません。
それは、親切なガイドさんの案内や、ハレアカラ山頂までのドライブです！
マウイのことを、いろいろ教えていただきましたし、ホテルでも英語がわからなくて困っているところを助けていただきました。
ほんとうに、この方がいなければ、マウイの楽しさは半減していたかもしれません（笑）
そして、考えてもいなかった、山頂までのドライブ。。。楽しすぎでした☆
車で、雲の上にいくのですから！そんなこと、思ってもいませんでした（笑）
素晴らしい景色と、ガイドさんのお話で、楽しいドライブになりました！

ただ、次回は気をつけようと思ったのが、
ハワイに着いた日は一日ゆっくりして、体を休めることです。
行きの飛行機では、あまり寝ることができず、寝不足でした。
ハワイを100％楽しむなら、一日目はゆとりのあるスケジュールがいいと思います。

The pickup car had only us Japanese, and it seemed the driver couldn't speak Japanese, which made us a bit anxious. However, there was a crew member who spoke fluent Japanese and kindly explained the announcements in Japanese, as well as looked after our grandparents who were with us. The children were also treated very kindly. We were able to see whales multiple times and even witnessed them spouting water, which was wonderful.

We used this service for our honeymoon. On the day of our visit, the gates were closed due to strong winds, so we watched the sunset from a hill near the Onizuka Center. After that, we moved to a different location for stargazing. Since it was a new moon, the night sky was filled with countless stars, which was truly moving. Additionally, they took shots that I couldn't capture myself, and the fact that we could download them after the tour was also appealing.

Most importantly, thanks to our guide, Macchan, who kept the atmosphere lively with fun talks, we were able to forget the negative aspect of not being able to reach the summit and had a wonderful time. The cute hats they provided are also a lovely memory. Next time I visit the Big Island, I will definitely use Nature School again.

We enjoyed a day with Davin our driver through Waimea Canyon, the spouting horn, and the fern grotto. There was so much more than just those stops and our driver not only navigated expertly with the large bus he was driving but also provided an informed narrative of our surroundings. We also enjoyed the lunch at the golf course we stopped and the scenery of such a beautiful area. While our stops were quick, we were able to do some shopping and purchased some wonderful souvenirs. Would suggest Veltra tours to anyone!

While driving, they explained about the Big Island of Hawaii. Since it's difficult to get around without a car when traveling individually, I appreciated their attention to detail, like stopping at a supermarket and providing information about the time until the next restroom break.

For dinner, we had a bento in the cold, but they also prepared warm miso soup and drinks. I think it's a good idea to have a scarf, fleece, or a light down jacket with you.

Regarding the tour title, unfortunately, it was cloudy, and we only saw a sea of clouds, so we couldn't enjoy the sunset or the starry sky, which I was most looking forward to.

Basically, everything is in English. Honestly, we couldn't enjoy it much since we don't understand English. The show is very interactive, with a strong tendency to bring audience members on stage for fun conversations, which might not be suitable for those who want to see Polynesian dance. I think it would be very enjoyable for those who are fluent in English, have a good sense of humor, and are comfortable dancing in front of others. The staff was kind. There were several changes to the pickup location and time since the reservation, but they accommodated us when we informed them that there was a person in a wheelchair.

I was half in doubt about whether I could really see whales, but I was able to see a mother and baby whale perfectly! The boat was large, so I didn't get seasick, and the staff were cheerful and friendly, making conversation and being very kind. At the end, when I mentioned that my husband had forgotten his camera lens on the bus, they responded with great care and arranged to help us find it. I'm really glad I used this tour. Went out on the whale watch tour today and we saw 4 whales - 2 large whales together at first and then a mother and calf. They popped up several times during the cruise and saw their tails in the air a few times. They also came quite close to the ship at times. Recommended to do a whale watching tour. Our naturalist onboard (Dez) was knowledgeable about whales and their migration patterns. There is some periods throughout the cruise where you just have to be patient for 10-15 minutes at a time until they pop back up or another whale is spotted but it's worth the wait. The tour felt a little short as I wanted to see more however it was probably the right amount of time. The whales even waved goodbye as we headed off.

We were looking for a tour to see the North Shore but have the freedom to do what we want to do....we couldn't have picked a better tour. This is the perfect tour for people looking for freedom to do/go where they want. We had Sam as our tour guide, a native from Hawaii. He was informative and very the perfect style of guide for this tour. Knew what he was talking about, laid back but still detail oriented enough to handle everyone's activities and where they were. We went there the day of the Volcom Pipe Pro at the Pipeline. We rented bikes at the North Shore Surf Shop (an included activity with the tour - no extra charge) and that allowed us to go freely around. We rode up to the surf competition to watch live. The nice part was with the bikes, you were stuck in one spot the whole time. Watched the competition, then rode down the coast to Sharks Cove and Waimea Bay. It was great to have no schedule or "planned activities" when we got there. We had 3 hours to do what we want. Some wanted nothing to do with the surf competition and they could do what they want. Everyone had their own agenda and this tour worked great with it. (For a quick bite to eat, hit up Pupukea Grill. Its a food truck in Sharks Cove with a heavenly flatbread.) Met back next to Sharks Cove for the bus and rode to Haleiwa for the afternoon. Again, free time through the town to experience the city itself or do water activities at Surf N Sea. We wanted to experience the town, so we went into the surf shops, stores and walked around the town itself. (For a great sandwich, hit up Waialua Bakery and Juice Bar next to the grocery store...phenomenal.) For being a smaller town, Haleiwa is a very cool town to experience. After the town, we were to a beach to view the sea turtles that come on shore. It was amazing to see the turtles that close.

Of course, the main focus is horseback riding, but we really do a lot of different activities. It's packed with experiences. We visited the Hitachi Tree, Dole Plantation, saw the honu at North Shore, enjoyed lunch (everyone's favorite, garlic shrimp♪), and then horseback riding. To top it off, our guide kindly recommended a coffee shop!

We were blessed with wonderful weather that day, making it truly a fantastic day.

I am really a beginner at horseback riding; the only experience I have is riding a pony for about five minutes when I was a child. Despite that, this time I suddenly found myself riding a polo horse! Moreover, Happy Trails is a prestigious ranch that even President Obama has visited! It made me think, "Maybe the horse I rode was the same one President Obama rode!" (It was a small mare, so it definitely wasn't, but it made me smile.)

I asked a Japanese couple who joined the same tour (they were quite experienced in horseback riding) and they said, "It's rare to ride a polo horse in Japan, so you can brag about this!" It was truly a valuable experience.

However! As a complete beginner, we started riding for an hour and a half with only verbal instructions! Plus, the path was muddy from the rain the day before... I really thought I might fall off! My friend and I were super nervous, but the polo horses were amazing, following our clumsy commands perfectly for the full hour and a half. Thank you, horses.

The staff at the ranch were also really friendly and it was a lot of fun. Next time, I'm interested in beach horseback riding, but I can't help but think that Happy Trails is still the best!

それなのに、今回はいきなりポロの馬を乗ることに！その上、ハッピートレイルはなんとあのオバマ大統領も来たことがあるという由諸正しい牧場！もしかしたら、私の乗った馬がオバマ大統領の乗った馬かも！！！（小さい牝馬だったので、絶対に違うけど）と思わせてくれます。笑
同じツアーに参加された日本人の御夫婦（こちらの方は乗馬に精通していらっしゃいました）に伺ったところ、「日本でポロの馬に乗れることなど滅多にないから自慢できるよ！」のことで本当に貴重な体験でした。
が！まったくの初心者なのに口頭での説明のみで、いきなり1時間半の乗馬スタート！笑
その上、前日の雨で道はぐちゃぐちゃ・・・落馬するんじゃないか？！と本当に思いました。
私も友人もめっちゃくちゃ焦りましたが、さすがポロのお馬さん、私達のつたない指示にもきちんと従い、1時間半きっちり乗せてくれました。ありがとう、お馬さん。
牧場の方も本当にフレンドリーで楽しかったです。
次回は、ビーチの乗馬にも興味ありますが、やっぱりハッピートレイルが良いなあなんて、思ってしまいます。

I was able to see parts of the whale multiple times, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't see the whole body. However, I guess that's just up to the whale's mood. On the ship, I enjoyed hula lessons and making leis until we reached the shore!

I participated in a morning dolphin snorkeling tour and then joined the Mauna Kea summit tour. Despite the tight schedule for pickup, they made sure we arrived on time. The beauty of the sunset from 4,200 meters is unforgettable. Even with the half-moon's light, I was able to see the winter diamond stars clearly. More than that, our guide, Ha, provided exceptional service. The convenient information about the Big Island was incredibly helpful for my future travels. They took many photos of us in various poses, and I think it's a wonderful service that the photos can be downloaded for free. Even though I had an upset stomach, I recovered with a delicious Japanese bento. On the way back, they kindly stopped at a supermarket, thinking I might need a late-night snack. Thank you very much. If I have the chance to go to the Big Island again, I would love to join the Mauna Kea summit tour once more, preferably on a new moon day.

Upon arriving at Kauai Island, I was told that I would be meeting up with the next group of people. I thought I would have to wait, but during that time, they took me to two different places. The Wailua Falls, in particular, was better than the waterfall I saw after joining the group. I felt like I really got my money's worth.

The pickup was at the hotel at 9:55 AM. We arrived at the port by 10:30 AM, but after being dropped off at the port, there was no explanation, and the car disappeared. I tried to find the Bodyglobe boat but couldn't locate it. When I asked people around, they said the check-in was at 12:30 PM.

The gap between the pickup time and the check-in time was too wide, which was a problem. As for the whales, I was able to see them, but only a small tail far away... (>_<) It was disappointing, but I did get to see a pod of dolphins on the way back, and we were able to stay on the boat for nearly three hours. While it lacked excitement, it was lucky to see both the whales and the dolphins! The fruit was delicious too!

肝心のクジラは、きちんと見ることが出来ましたが、とても遠くに小さなしっぽだけ…(>_<)残念でしたが、イルカの群れが帰り際に見れたことと、三時間近く船に乗ることが出来ました。迫力は足りなかったけど、クジラとイルカの群れが見れたのはlucky！でした。果物も美味しかった！

I wanted to see the sunset and starry sky from the summit of Mauna Kea to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday, but all the sunset tours were fully booked. Just when I was about to give up, I found this site offering a starry sky and sunrise tour, and only Masashi Nature School had availability, so I joined immediately. With guidance from Masashi, who is not the president, we had a clear explanation of the starry sky using a laser pointer at the Onizuka Visitor Center, and we were able to see Saturn through a telescope (we could see the rings!). I was thrilled because my own camera couldn't capture the stars. The starry sky is truly beautiful—it's so stunning that words and photos can't do it justice. After enjoying warm drinks and sandwiches, we all climbed a nearby hill to watch the sunrise. I was moved by the sunrise emerging from the white sea of clouds. Although the road to the summit of Mauna Kea was closed due to snow, I was able to see the snow-covered Mauna Kea from the hill, which became a wonderful memory. For cold weather preparation, they provided thick jackets, pants, gloves, and hats, but since I'm sensitive to the cold, I wore two layers of Heattech, a fleece, a down jacket, a jumper, leggings, ski socks, and pants, which was just right. 母の還暦祝でマウナケア山頂からの夕日＆星空が見たかったのですが、夕日のツアーはどこも一杯で取れず諦めていたらこちらのサイトで星空＆朝日のツアーが、しかもマサシネイチャスクールさんだけ空いており即参加。社長さんではない方のマサシさんの案内でオニヅカビジターセンター側でレーザーポインターを用いて分かりやすい星空の説明と望遠鏡を使って土星(輪が見えました！)を見せて頂いたり、写真を撮って頂きました。持参したカメラでは星空が取れなかったので嬉しかったです☆星空は本当に綺麗です。写真や言葉では表現出来ないくらい綺麗です。温かい飲み物とサンドウィッチを頂いた後、近くの丘に全員で登り朝日を見ることが出来ました。白い雲海から出てくる朝日に感動しました。マウナケアは積雪でロードがクローズしており山頂からの朝日は見れませんでしたが、丘から雪で真っ白なマウナケアも見る事が出来たのでそれはそれで良い思い出になりました。防寒対策ですが、分厚い上着とズボン、手袋や帽子まで貸して頂けますが、寒がりなので中にヒートテック２枚、フリース、ダウン、ジャンバー、スパッツ、スキー用靴下、ズボンをはいて丁度良いくらいでした。心配していた高山病も途中車を降りて星空を見せて頂いたり、ビジターセンター近くまでは仮眠させて下さったりとマサシさんの気配りで全員問題ありませんでした。ハワイ島からホノルルまでの飛行機で席が隣だったOPツアー会社の方が夕日ツアーも良いと話されていたので次回は夕日＆星空ツアーに参加したいと思います。

The summit was closed due to strong winds, so we did the sunset and stargazing at the Onizuka Visitor Center. However, I was very satisfied. Our guide, Matsuzaki, was great. He mentioned that he studied hard for this tour, focusing on constellations and photography. While it's expected for a guide to study constellations, his photography skills were a huge help. He took a two-shot photo of my wife and me with Orion in the background and uploaded it online. My friend, who had climbed to the summit the day before, was really envious of this service. It seemed that his guide only provided standard explanations. The sunset photo I posted was also taken with a small digital camera, and I learned how to shoot in backlight conditions.

友人たちのガイドは、とおり一遍の説明だけだったようです。
投稿したサンセットの写真も小さなディジカメで撮りましたが、
逆光の際の撮り方を教わって撮りました。

Good circle trip of island. Saw many beautiful vistas, temple, beaches. Good way to see things you may want to go back to but is a long day. Driver was also tour guide which probably shouldn't have been... Felt that was distracting and dangerous.

My wife and I had a great time! The food was good and the staff were all extremely polite and enthusiastic. The show was a treat and the dancers were all very gracious and patient about taking pictures with the guests. The views from the boat of the city and Diamond Head alone were worth the money. We'll surely do it again on our next trip back.

At the end of January, I participated in a tour for my honeymoon. The staff, tour content, and meals were all extremely satisfying, just as the reviews said. Usually, I purchase photos, but the staff took pictures with their own DSLR camera, which we could download for free online, so that was great. I will definitely join again when I visit the Big Island. Thank you very much.
P.S. The choice of background music in the car was nice (laughs).

We went on a cruise on a large ship from the morning. The scenery was absolutely amazing! The special feeling of being able to view the cityscape of Honolulu from the sea and the impressive sight of Diamond Head was fantastic. The ship was big, so I didn't get seasick at all. It had about three floors, and at first, everyone was seated, but once the ship started moving, we could move around freely. Everyone was out on the deck taking lots of photos.

The only disappointment was that we didn't see any whales... The captain and the crew were really persistent in searching with binoculars, but sometimes they just aren't around, even in winter. Since it's all about nature, there's nothing we can do. If you don't see any whales, you can apply for a free ticket to go on another cruise next time. I didn't take it due to my limited stay.

By the way, I opted for a plan that included breakfast, but it was just regular food. When asked if it was delicious... well, it was okay, I guess... However, since we had an early morning gathering, I decided to include it.

Anyway, I felt fully satisfied just thinking about going on a morning cruise!

大きな船に乗って朝からクルージング。とにかく景色が最高でした！海からホノルルの街並みを眺められる特別感、ダイアモンドヘッドを横切る迫力、とてもよかったです。船も大きいので、まず酔いません。３階くらいまであり、最初はみなさん席についていますが、ある程度船が動き出してしまえば、自由に移動。みなさん甲板に出て写真バチバチでした。
残念だったのは、クジラが見られなかったこと・・・。船長さん？や、船員さん達も双眼鏡でかなり粘ってさがしてくれましたが・・・。冬でも見られない時があるのですね。自然が相手のお話なので、しかたありません。見られなかった場合は、また次回クルージングできる無料券を申し込めば貰えます。私は滞在日数の関係上、もらいませんでした。
ちなみに朝食を付けたプランにしたのですが、まぁ普通のごはんです。おいしいか・・・と言われると、う～ん、そこまでか・・も・・・。ただ早朝の集合でしたので、つけました。
ともあれ、朝、クルージングに行ってきた！と思えば、充分満足です。

The admired Subaru Observatory, with the sunset sinking into the sea of clouds and the starry sky, was wonderful. I hadn't considered the moon phase, so the moon was dazzling, but it looked beautiful in a different way than usual.

Along the way, we combined with another group, and two drivers/guides prepared and explained everything, allowing us to spend our time efficiently.

The miso soup we had at the Onizuka Center was unexpectedly served in a bowl, but it was delicious. On the way back from the Big Island, I visited the Onizuka Museum next to the airport, as recommended. Thank you, Ha-kun!!

The deciding factor for this tour was that I couldn't find any other organizer that offered transportation to my hotel, but I am satisfied with the content, the guide, and the lunch.

憧れのスバル展望台、雲海に沈む夕日も、星空も素敵でした。
月齢を考えていなかったので月が眩しかったですが、月もいつもと違って綺麗に見えます。

途中２台合同になり、２人のドライバー兼ガイドさんが準備と説明をしてくれて時間も無駄なく過ごすことが出来ました。

オニヅカセンターで頂いたお味噌汁、まさか、お椀で頂くとは思っていなかったですが美味しかったです。ハワイ島の帰りには教えてもらった空港脇のオニヅカ博物館に行ってきました。

今回のツアーの決め手は、宿泊先のホテルへの送迎がこちらの主催しか見つからなかったという消去法ですが、内容・ガイド・お弁当ともに満足しています。

On the day of the trip, it was raining and the sea was rough. My younger child quickly got seasick and slept inside the boat the whole time. However, quite a few other people also got seasick. During the two-hour trip, we only saw whales for about 10 minutes, but we were able to see them up close several times, which was nice. The best part was when my older child was looking at the sea from the deck on the opposite side of the boat and said they were happy to have seen dolphins.

I think it would have been fine without the meal. I felt that dining on the boat is not something I would want to do for a while.

当日は雨で海は荒れていました。下の子はすぐに船酔いになりずっと船内で寝ていました。ただ、他の人達も結構の数の人が船酔いになっていました。2時間のうちでクジラを見れたのは10分程度でしたが、近くで何回も見れたのでよかったです。一番よかったのは、上の子がクジラと反対側のデッキで海を眺めていたらイルカを見れたと言って喜んでいたことです。
なお食事は無くてもよかったと思うレベルです。船上での食事は当分いいと思いました。
