This was my second dolphin swim on the Big Island, and this time I challenged myself with an English guide. I arrived just in time and was told, "Park the car quickly! Quickly!" I didn't even know where to park, and the first place I stopped was for boat towing, so I ended up parking on the street. There was also a Japanese couple who seemed to be getting scolded in the same way.

Last time, I brought my own gear, but this time I rented a mask and fins. I think I misunderstood some of the instructions; I heard that we shouldn't chase or touch the dolphins, just hold onto the float and watch, and not to splash with the fins. However, once I got into the water, I was scolded with "quickly!" and I desperately tried to swim towards the dolphins, but in the end, I was told, "You are like a turtle," and I was exhausted. However, in the end, I was able to swim with many dolphins, and on the way back, they provided fruit and showed us places that we couldn't see by car.

There were many people snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay, but the water was very clear, and there were plenty of fish, which was satisfying. Last time, there was a Japanese guide, but there were many people, and it was quite chaotic. This time, there were only two of us, so I was able to fully enjoy the dolphin swim.

From this experience, I learned:
- If there is no transportation provided, I should confirm the availability of parking.
- Even with experience, I shouldn't respond with just a vague understanding when guided in English.
- Snorkelers should bring their own gear.

These may seem like obvious points, but since it was my second time participating, I had underestimated some aspects. Please be careful when you participate.

前回は自分の道具を持って行ったのですが、今回はマスク、フィンはレンタルをしました。私が何となくの理解で返事をしていたのが悪かったのですが、イルカを見つけても、追ってはいけない、触ってはいけない、浮き具につかまって見るだけ、フィンをばたばたさせない、など説明は聞き取れていたように思ったのですが、いざ海に入ってみると、「quickly！」と責め立てられ、一生懸命イルカのほうに向かっていったのですが、挙句の果てには「あなたはカメね」といわれ、ヘロヘロになってしまいました。ですが、最後にはたくさんのイルカと泳ぐことができ、帰りのボートではフルーツのサービスや、ラバチューブなど車では見れないようなところも案内してくれました。ケアラケクア湾でのシュノーケリングはたくさんの人がいましたが、透明度の高い海で魚もたくさんおり、満足のいくものでした。前回は日本語ガイドでしたが人数も多く、かなりワチャワチャしてましたが、今回は二人だけだったので、ドルフィンスイムも満喫できました。
今回の学びとしては、
・送迎なしの場合、駐車場の有無は確認すべき。
・経験があっても、英語ガイドで何となくの理解で返事をしてはいけない。
・シュノ―ケラーは自分の道具をもっていくべし。
当たり前のことではありますが、2回目の参加ということで、甘く考えてたところもありました。参加の際にはお気を付けくださいませ。

Overall, a beautiful adventure on the ocean. A few comments:

1 - waiting area prior to launching kayaks is full of mosquitoes and my children received many bites
2 - if you are not with a partner and have to go in a single kayak vs. tandem, know this is extra work as simply you don't have 4 arms paddling :-)
3 - the resting spot before heading back to the boat dock requires you to "climb" up a volcanic rock to have your snack/water - make sure you have proper water/outdoor shoes on as you will need that traction to climb up and then walk amongst the rocks; this applies to attire as well as my girls had bikini bottoms on and it was difficult to sit on the rocks with just their bikini bottoms and no towels etc (we did not know we would be stopping at that rock nor climbing up it so hence did not bring anything)
4 - this adventure is going up and back from the boat dock vs. being picked up after a one way paddle

I participated with my two high school daughters as a family of four. Although it was a group lesson, it turned out to be just our family since there were only four of us. We met on-site, and since we were staying in Keauhou, it was convenient to have both the beach and the office nearby.

First, we went to the office at 8:00 for an explanation and some preliminary practice, and then we made our way to the beach on our own. The beach was about a five-minute walk from the office. When we arrived, two instructors were waiting for us, and they taught the four of us. We took turns surfing in pairs, while the others rested by holding onto a float. The friendly lady who explained everything and the two instructors mentioned they were siblings or cousins and that they were doing this as a family.

Everything was in English, but we had no problem participating. I think their names were Jacob, John, and Tiffany. They were very friendly and cheerful. My daughters seemed to have so much fun that they even expressed a desire to surf again.

As the season was coming to an end, I participated with the feeling that I might not see anything, and it took a while for anything to appear, but then there was a sudden spout! I was glad to see the back several times, and at the end, I clearly saw the tail—great!! So moving!!

I didn't understand the content at all from the English announcements, but the crew members were considerate, asking if I wanted drinks or cocktails, which made the tour enjoyable.

My husband and I had a GREAT time during the 9:30 a.m. Whale Watch tour. We spotted a whale, her calf and a male escort 30 minutes after we left the harbor and we followed them around for most of the cruise.
It was pretty late in the season (April 6th), so we felt very lucky.
The crew was great, so were the drinks and snacks.
I highly recommend it!

Sea kayaking typically accommodates two people per kayak. Since you paddle about 4 miles at a decent speed, I think less powerful individuals, like women, might get quite tired.

The cliff jump from a height of 10 meters (optional) was an unexpected experience, but the other activities like exploring the caves (just a little way into the entrance) and snorkeling (only for 10 minutes, close to shore and not particularly rich in fish) felt somewhat lackluster.

It was disappointing that we couldn't take any photos because we were told not to bring anything that could get wet, including smartphones, which were collected in a storage box. I think it would have been nice if the guide could have taken some photos for us.

シーカヤックは基本一艇に二人で乗ります。それなりのスピードでトータル4マイルほど漕ぐので非力な女性などはそれなりに疲れると思います。
10ｍの高さからのクリフジャンプ(希望者のみ)は予想外の体験でしたがその他の洞窟(入り口付近にちょっと入るだけ)やシュノーケリング(10分間のみ、岸からも近く特に魚影が濃い訳でもなくどこでも体験出来る内容)は中途半端な感じはしました。
濡れて困るものは一切持って行くなという事でスマホなども保管箱に回収されてしまったので何も写真が撮れなかったのが残念です。であればせめてガイドが写真を撮ってくれても良いと思います。

As the reviews mentioned, everything was in English, but it's a tour where you hardly need to converse, so I think even those who are not confident can participate. I mentioned that I was a beginner, but we got into the kayak and suddenly paddled out to sea. Surprisingly, it was quite stable, and there was no risk of capsizing in the ocean. The sea cave was a bit different from what I imagined, but paddling out into the vast ocean was a fun experience. After snorkeling, the guide passed us pineapples, snacks, and drinks via the kayak. It was fun to connect the kayaks with a rope and pass the bag around. On the way back, we ended up drifting away from the group, and the guide tied a rope to my kayak and pulled me back. I applied sunscreen, but since the weather was nice, I recommend bringing it on the kayak and reapplying it several times.

This was one for the books for my wife, and I. You need to know how to swim and snorkel. The Manta Rays were swimming all around us eating the plankton, it was very active during the 45 mins. One went inverted and swam about 1" from our chests. We recorded the footage with a GoPro! This is a bucket list adventure. I would recommend this to anyone!

As the only Japanese participant who didn't understand English that day, I approached the experience with a spirit of challenge. I was given a brochure with clear explanations in Japanese about the ship and the whales. While the staff were attentive with drinks and other services, I felt that there was a slight lack of effort in helping customers spot the whales. I was able to see a few jumps and blows faintly, but I thought the price for this activity was too high, even considering the cost of living.

この日の日本人参加者が、英語の分からない自分1人だったこともあり、どうなる事か…と、チャレンジ精神で臨みました。日本語で分かりやすく記載されている船内やクジラの説明のリーフレットを渡されました。係員の方々は、飲み物など、気を配ってくださいましたけれど、肝心なクジラをお客様に探して見てもらおうといった姿勢が若干欠けていたと感じました。
ジャンプやブローは何回かうっすらと見れましたが、このアクティビティ料金では（物価が高いとは言え）高すぎると思いました。

We’ve taken this cruise several times and love it every time! The food is excellent, the crew is so accommodating, the music is relaxing and Captain Rick is the best. The water was a little ruff so the crew waited on us hand and foot. Captain Rick was funny and went further out in the ocean to avoid a rain shower on the way back so everyone didn’t get soaked. Oh! And Boyd is full of history stories about the island. We strongly recommend this dinner cruise for everyone. There were 2 elderly people on the cruise and the crew got them on board and to their seat safely. We would rather take this cruise then go to a luau. Great job Body Glove!

My trip to the Big Island always includes this snorkeling cruise.

First, we enjoyed a breakfast of fresh fruits and muffins. Along the way, we encountered whales and dolphins, and then headed to Captain Cook's destination. We had a fantastic time snorkeling in the beautiful sea and indulged in a BBQ lunch with hamburgers on board.

During snorkeling, even though I was in shallow water up to my knees, the current was strong, and I was swept away, becoming a feast for sea urchins. Thanks to my fins, I managed to protect the soles of my feet, but I ended up with 30 spines in my left ring finger, 20 in my right index finger, and countless others that I discovered later. I thought I had to remove them right there, so I endured the pain and pulled them out, somehow making it back to the boat. I was pushed back by the waves multiple times, leaving my knees and thighs covered in cuts and bruises, and I had significant bruising on my ribs, but the pain from the sea urchin stings was unbearable. My left ring finger swelled up black and was completely immobile, and even a light touch caused excruciating pain... the power of the sea urchin is terrifying.

The staff treated me with vinegar, which eased the intense pain a bit, but it was still an extraordinary level of discomfort. If you are careful about the current in shallow waters and the sea urchins, you can have a wonderful time!

足ヒレのお陰でなんとか足裏はガード出来ましたが、左手薬指に30本、右手人差し指に20本、その他後から傷口見たら数え切れないほどの長い針が刺さってしまいました。とにかくその場で抜かねば、と思い、痛みをこらえ抜き取り、なんとか船へ戻りました。何度も潮に押し戻されたので膝と太腿は切り傷にアザだらけ、肋骨は打撲とかなりの怪我でしたが、ウニに刺された部分がとにかく痛すぎでした。左手薬指は真っ黒に腫れ上がり全く曲げられず、ちょっと触るだけでも激痛…恐るべしウニパワー…
ヴィネガーが良いとのことで、スタッフが処置してくれ激痛が気持ち和らぎましたが、尋常ではない痛みでした。
浅瀬の潮の流れ、ウニにはくれぐれも気をつけさえすれば、素晴らしい時間が過ごせます‼︎

The meeting time was 7:30, but we were actually called to the boat around 8:00. I guess it's the laid-back Thai time… I was a bit disappointed since I woke up quite early.

The meeting place is very hard to find; it's the building on the beach adjacent to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort. It feels more like a makeshift hut than a beach house.

The guide spoke English and was very friendly, accustomed to dealing with Japanese guests.

Basically, it's a tour where you enjoy swimming with dolphins and then go snorkeling at the coral reefs of Kealakekua Bay. There were six guests on the Zodiac boat, but it seemed like that was the maximum capacity.

Light snacks included chips and fruits (pineapple, papaya, grapes), and drinks were also provided.

On the day I participated, I was very satisfied as I got to swim with pilot whales and manta rays. First off The Two outstanding parts to this tour was Jeff; The Tour Guide and The Stars. Tour Guide Jeff, detailed intellect to the stars was fun and educational without being obnoxious. Felt very fortunate to have him as our guide. Even though the clouds didn’t corporate fully that evening the Sunset was astounding even at nine thousand foot elevation.
The Rudeness of One Local Park Ranger that evening was disappointing to witness by all in the group. He made a big deal to our Tour Guide to move the company van by honking his horn repeatedly when all he had to do was ask politely Not Nice. The other disappointment was The Gift Shop closing very early and while they were closing the gift shop personnel Didn’t allow access to the Restroom for the many guess that were present at the time. Gift shop took about 15 minutes to close up shop and during that time could’ve allowed access to Restrooms. Thank You Jeff !!! for saving our visit
