I participated in the tour mentioned in the title for my honeymoon. The guides were Mr. Ha and Mr. Stephan.

I usually find writing reviews tedious and don't do it often, but I want to share my experience because I was 200% satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone.

This company's Mauna Kea tour allows for stargazing at a higher elevation than other companies (they provide not only ski jackets but also pants, making it possible to observe in colder locations). The guides were fantastic, paying close attention to the participants' well-being and always keeping the atmosphere lively. Additionally, they kindly took beautiful professional-looking photos for us. I hear you can request specific guides, so I highly recommend these two.

Depending on the moon phase, the sunrise tour or sunset tour may offer better views of the stars, and they seem to be responsive to inquiries through their website.

For many, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and if you trust these two from this company, you can be sure to have the best experience!

新婚旅行で、表題のツアーに参加しました。ガイドは葉さんとステファンさんでした。
普段このようなレビューは面倒であまりしないタイプですが、満足度200%、心から皆さまにお勧めしたく書き込みをします。

この会社のマウナケアツアー自体が、他社より標高の高い地点で星空観測ができる（スキージャケットだけでなく、ズボンまで貸出されるため、より寒い場所でも観測可能なのだそうです）とのことでした。
また、ガイドさんが素晴らしく、参加者の体調管理にも細心の注意を払っていただきましたし、常に雰囲気を盛り上げてくださいました。また、ご好意でプロのような綺麗なお写真も撮っていただきました。指名ができるそうなので、是非、このお二人をお勧めいたします。

月齢によって、朝陽ツアーと夕陽ツアーのどちらがより星をたくさん綺麗に見られるかも異なるそうで、サイトを通じて相談にも対応してくださるようです。

多くの方にとって、一生に一度かもしれない貴重な機会だと思いますが、この会社のこのお二人にお任せすれば、最高の体験ができることは間違いありません！

I had some physical concerns about going to the summit of Mauna Kea, but at 62 years old, I decided to take it on as my final challenge. When I got there, the sunset was incredibly beautiful and it moved me deeply.

Additionally, during the stargazing, I was really struck by the sheer number of stars visible from Earth. I was also able to see Saturn through a telescope and confirmed that it indeed has rings.

Under the starry sky, we were able to take commemorative photos, which can be downloaded for free from the homepage. I participated in a wonderful tour that became a lifelong memory.

マウナケアー山頂に行くのに身体の不安もありましたが62歳ということで最後のチャレンジと思い行くことにしました。行ってみて夕日がとても綺麗にみえ感動しました。
更に星空観測では地球から見える星の多さにすごく心に残るものがありました。
又土星を望遠鏡で見ることができほんとに　輪　があることが確認できました。
星空の下で記念写真も撮っていただきホームーページで無料でダウンロードでき素晴らしいツアーに参加でき一生の思い出とすることができました。

Since it was chosen as one of the breathtaking views that Shihoko wanted to see before she passed away, the price was on the higher side, but we really wanted to see it, so our family of four participated.

I thought the price was high when we joined, but it was worth it as we got to see an incredible view (even more than expected). The guide was very nice and shared a lot of information, which made it really enjoyable.

It was cloudy before reaching Mauna Kea, and we were told we wouldn't be able to see the beautiful sea of clouds, but gradually it cleared up, and we were able to see the best view.

I'm really glad we participated.

しほさんの死ぬまでにみたい絶景に選ばれていたので、
お値段は高めですがどうしても見たくて家族4人で参加させてもらいました。

お値段は高いと思って参加しましたが、
高いだけあって(それ以上の)絶景が見れました。
ガイドさんはとてもいい方で、常に色々な情報を喋って頂いて凄く楽しかったです。

マウナケア手前では曇っていて、
綺麗な雲海が見れないと言っていましたが、
たんだん晴れてきて最高の絶景がみれました。

We had the place to ourselves without overlapping with others!
It was super reassuring because someone who lives in Japan took us there✨
Above all, we got to see so many dolphins!
They were everywhere!
Afterward, they kindly recommended nearby restaurants, which was really nice (*^^*)
I want to go see the dolphins again!

We went on moonlight snorkeling tour and saw four manta rays, two quite big, they are so graceful dancing in the water below the light and passing inches from our bodies without touching us and without any fear. This experience is one to be remembered for the lifetime.
Said that, the service given is below expectations.
Let's start from pricing, no reduced price for the one that is not going off board snorkeling.
We arrived on time for the check in and the boat wasn't in the water yet, due to a problem with the truck. Maybe the info on the tour had been already given to the other participants, but nothing more for us. I recieved the wet suit, even though there was no locker room to change, only the marina restrooms.
Anyhow the boat went in the water just in time to go onboard, no gangboard, assuming people is used to jump on and off board.
We went quite fast to the point where manta rays are usually seen, there was already another boat from a different charter, we stood just aside them.
Gear provided by them, good quality, no water entered during all the visit.
Just few basic rules, do not dive, do not touch them, do not kick them, lay horizontally and stay attached to the plastic board, which hosts lights to attract plancton.
As said at the beginning, the experience is really wonderful and makes me almost forget the service part.
Returning onboard, just a minute to remove the wet suit, get dry, have a glass of hot soup and go back as fast as possible to the harbour.
A formal and quick goodbye and that's it.
Overall you cannot miss the mant rays snorkeling experience, but consider also other service providers with respect to this one.

My wife loves stargazing and seemed to be having a great time. I went along with her, but I wasn't feeling well due to altitude sickness. The most challenging part for me was the guide's strong Kansai dialect.

一番、閉口したのは、ガイドの、バリバリの関西弁でした。

On the fourth day of our stay on the Big Island, we participated in a tour. I was hesitant about the speedboat and the English tour, but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

In our tour, my wife and I were the only Japanese participants; the others were travelers from the mainland United States. The Americans were cheerful, and there was a lot of excitement among the staff and the guests, as well as among the guests themselves. My wife and I are not good at English, so we felt a bit out of place, but we were prepared for that, so it didn't bother us too much.

On the way to the bay, we were able to see not only dolphins but also a false killer whale (I couldn't understand the English name, so I looked it up after returning to Japan, and I think that's what it was), which was nice to see. The snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay was enjoyable because the terrain is better than at Kahalu'u Beach Park or Hanauma Bay on Oahu. There are some deep areas in the ocean, so my wife said she was scared in places where she couldn't touch the bottom, but they lent us a flotation device, so she was able to snorkel with peace of mind.

The view of the Big Island from the sea was also wonderful, and I believe this tour is worth participating in.

スピードボートと英語ツアーに尻込みしていましたが、十分楽しめました。

　私達が参加したツアーは、やはり日本人は私と妻だけ、他はアメリカ本土からの旅行者の方々でした。
　アメリカの人たちは陽気なので、スタッフとツアー客、ツアー客同士でかなり盛り上がってました。
　私と妻は英語がぜんぜん駄目なので、アウェイ感が強かったですが、元々覚悟していたのであまり気になりませんでした。
　湾に行く途中、イルカだけでなく、コビレゴンドウクジラ（英語が分からなく聞けなかったので、日本に帰ってから調べたので、多分そうだと思う）がゆっくり見られて、良かったです。
　ケアラケクア湾でのシュノーケリングも、カハルウビーチパークやオアフ島のハナウマ湾よりも地形が良い為に楽しめました。海が深い場所もあるので、妻は足が付かないところは怖いと言っていましたが、浮き棒を貸してくれたので、安心してシュノーケリングをやってました。

　海から眺めるハワイ島の景色も素晴らしく、参加する価値のあるツアーだと思います。

I participated in this tour on my first trip to Hawaii. The driver and guide's altitude sickness measures were effective. It was a wonderful tour.

The summit of Mauna Kea felt more like being on Mars than on Earth. The sunset, with the sun sinking below the clouds, was an emotional experience unlike anything I had ever felt before. After that, I took a commemorative photo with the Earth's shadow (which is called the Venus Belt) appearing on the opposite side of the sunset, and then we did some stargazing after dark. I had a period in elementary school when I was fascinated by astronomy and often climbed onto my house's roof to observe the stars, so I was incredibly moved to see the Milky Way, the Southern Cross, and Canopus, which is the second brightest star in the sky after Sirius! The guides were young and energetic, and their desire to create wonderful memories for everyone participating was palpable. If I could wish for one thing, it would be that I had participated during a new moon instead of a half moon, as I might have been able to see even darker stars. However, I have traveled more than 100 times both domestically and internationally, and I can confidently say this is number one. I absolutely recommend it to anyone planning to visit the Big Island!

マウナケア山頂は、地球というよりも火星に行ったような感じがしました。サンセットも夕日と雲海を見下ろす中で沈んでいく様子はこれまでに味わったことのない感動でした。その後、生まれて初めて見た夕日の反対側にできる地球の影（ヴィーナスベルトというそうです）をバックに記念撮影、そして日没後の天体観測。私は小学校の頃に天体少年だった時期があり、よく家の屋根に上がって観測をしていたのですが、その頃に憧れていた天の川、南十字星、全天でシリウスに次いで明るいカノープスを観ることが出来たことに大変感動をしています！ガイドのみなさんは若くて元気があり、参加したみんなにいい想い出を作りたい！という意欲がヒシヒシと伝わってきました。欲を言えば半月の時ではなく新月の時に参加していればもっと暗い星までを観ることができたかも知れないと思うと唯一悔やまれるところです。でも私はこれまでに旅行が好きで国内外を合わせて100回以上参加していますが、間違いなくナンバーワンと言えます。ハワイ島に行く予定のある方は絶対にオススメです！

The crew was good and friendly. Despite informing them about our dietery restrictions a week before the cruise, they forgot to prepare any vegetarian food. The crew quickly threw together salad for us on board, but it was a lot of money for salad. The crews were friendly otherwise. good music...

We had a great time. The guides, Jesse and Kevin, were great and informative. Eventhough we were first time snorkelers, they made us comfortable and we had great fun.

I think you should experience this at least once when staying on the Big Island. It's a large-scale tour that you can't experience anywhere else, and the moment of sunset is truly moving. The guide's stories are enjoyable to listen to, and I felt that the fun of the tour really depends on the guide, making it quite different.

ハワイ島に滞在したら、１度は体験すべきだと思います。他では体験できないスケールの大きなツアーで、サンセットの瞬間は感動します。ガイドさんの話は楽しく聞くことができ、ツアーの面白さはガイドさん次第で、ずいぶん違ったものになるのだろうなと感じました。

The sunset was incredibly beautiful, with not a single cloud in the sky. It was cold, but they lent me pants and a jacket (the kind you wear when skiing), so it wasn't unbearable.

I watched the sunset from the mountaintop, then descended a bit for stargazing. As you go down, the temperature becomes much warmer. They provided explanations of the constellations using a flashlight, and I received warm tea and cookies—there were various services offered.

And above all, the photo service! The pictures taken with the beautiful starry sky in the background became lifelong memories.

サンセット，雲ひとつなくとてもきれいでした。
寒かったですが，ダウン？のパンツ＆ジャケット（スキーの時に着るようなものです）を貸していただけるので，耐えられないほどではなかったです。
山頂でサンセットを見て，少し下山してから星空観測。少し降りるので気温もだいぶ暖かくなります。ペンライトを使って星座の解説をしていただいたり，暖かい紅茶とクッキーをもらえたり，いろいろサービスが。
そしてなんと言っても写真サービス！きれいな星空をバックに撮ってもらえる写真は一生の思い出となりました。

We, as a couple, enjoyed ourselves at our own pace with only the two of us participating. The sea kayaking, with no other boats nearby, offered breathtaking views and was truly wonderful. The snorkeling was more beautiful than I expected; I was considering diving in Hawaii, but I was completely satisfied with just snorkeling. However, I had read in reviews that photos would be taken, but we didn't receive any, and although it mentioned light snacks, nothing was provided. Kevin's stories were enjoyable, making for a great day.

参加者は私達夫婦のみでマイペースに楽しませてもらいました。他に船も近くにいない中でのシーカヤックは絶景で本当に素敵でした。またシュノーケリングは思った以上に美しく、ハワイでダイビングをしようか悩んでいましたがシュノーケリングだけで大満足でした。ただ、写真を撮って頂けるような事を口コミでみていたのですが一枚もなく、また軽食と書かれていたのに何もついてきませんでした。ケビンさんのお話も楽しく良い日になりました。

This submarine cruise was amazing!! The crew was so friendly and our guide was funny. It was obvious everyone loved their job. Our guide was obviously an experienced diver because he knew so much about all the various fish we saw and had lots of great stories involving the different fish/coral.

The visibility was amazing the day we went. I think I took almost 200 pictures. We were so surprised when we saw 2 shipwrecks on the cruise. Such a fun bonus!

My husband is very outdoorsy and was a little whiny about doing the submarine over an actual snorkel day cruise. He loved the submarine and thought it was so much fun. We will definitely do it again when we're back.

I was amazed at how close I could see the manta rays! I was told not to touch them, but the manta rays came close on their own, and I ended up touching them… it really felt like an exhilarating attraction! However, on the way back, I felt like I was going to freeze to death from the wind hitting my wet body after getting seasick. I think it would have been nice to have a bit more explanation about the manta rays from the guide.

びっくりするほどマンタが近くで見れました！触らないようにと言われてましたが、マンタが勝手に近づいてきて触れてしまうことも…ほんとに迫力満点のアトラクションのようでした！
ただ帰りは船酔いと濡れた体に風があたり極寒で死にそうでした。
ガイドからマンタに関する説明がもう少しあってもよかったかなと思います。

I was truly impressed that you arrived 10 minutes before the pickup time. We both remarked how typical of a Japanese person that is.

Your stories during the car ride felt like a stand-up comedy routine. Your self-introduction was especially delightful, and it was so comfortable that I wanted to keep listening forever.

You provided clear explanations and took plenty of photos. During the lunch distribution, you knelt down to carefully serve the miso soup, and since the weather was nice, you kept expressing positive words like "wonderful."

I was personally very moved by each aspect of your character.

Of course, I enjoyed the scenery too!!!

The sunset was amazing, and the stargazing was great. Thanks to your guidance, I was lucky enough to see a satellite.

I also saw the Southern Cross, and at the Onizuka Center, I even looked at the sun through a telescope.

Above all, the clothing was warm and felt more like proper winter gear than any other tour, which was a huge help for someone like me who gets cold easily.

お迎え時間の10分前に来てくれたことに、まず感動。
さすが日本人ですねとお互いで言ってしまいました。

車中でのマサキミさんのお話しは、まるで漫談のようで、
自己紹介は、特にツボにはまり、
ずっとずっと聞いていたいような抜群の心地よさでした。

わかりやすい説明は勿論、写真もたくさん撮ってくださったり、
お弁当の配給の時は、地面に膝をついて丁寧にお味噌汁をよそってくれたり、
天候が良い日だったこともあり、ステキすてき、というポジティブな
言葉をずっと言っていてくださって、

このお人柄一つ一つに、個人的にとても感動しておりました。


勿論、景色もバッチリ見ておりましたよ！！！

サンセットは最高でしたし、星空観測も良かったです。
私は教えてくれたおかげで、運良く衛星も、見ることが出来ました。

南十字星も見れたし、オニヅカセンターでは太陽まで望遠鏡で見ちゃいました。

なによりウエアが温かくて、どこのツアーよりも防寒着という感じで、
寒がりとしてはとっても助かりました。

I had wanted to participate for a long time, but I had to give up because the lunar phase and travel schedule didn't match. However, this time it finally happened!!!

On the day of participation, we were blessed with good weather, and the sunset gradient in the sky was beautiful. During the stargazing session, the guide explained the constellations clearly and thoroughly, and the starry sky was truly stunning.

As for cold weather preparation, on the day of participation, it was 28°C during the day, so I wore a light 3/4 sleeve top and long pants. I even forgot the disposable hand warmers I brought for warmth at the hotel, haha.

However, during the hike up to Onizuka, it was said to be "less windy and warmer than usual," around 9°C, so I wore my UK ultra-down jacket and only the borrowed cold-weather pants. Some people wore fleece, but it was warmer than I expected, so this was enough at Onizuka.

After arriving near the summit to watch the sunset, I was lent an additional jacket, hat, and gloves, which kept me warm and cozy, but it was still a bit chilly due to the wind, haha. If you're sensitive to the cold or participating during a colder season, proper preparation is essential. The stargazing location was a bit lower down, so it was perfectly warm there.

The bento box we received on the way to Onizuka was better than I expected; I thought it would be like a convenience store bento, but it came with warm miso soup and a drink. It was a proper bento, and I was surprised! It was delicious! From what I saw of the bento boxes from many other tour companies, this one might have been the most luxurious, haha. At the stargazing location, there was also a service of cookies and tea, making for a warm and cozy experience. I'm really glad I participated in this tour. I've created wonderful new memories on the Big Island!♪

以前から参加したかったけど、良い月齢と旅行日程が合わず断念してましたが
今回やっと実現しました！！！
参加当日は天候にも恵まれサンセットのグラデーションの空は美しく、
その後の星空観測ではガイドさんが星座の説明を分かりやすく丁寧に説明してくれ
満天の星空は本当に美しかったです。

防寒対策ですが参加当日は日中は28℃あり上は薄手の7分袖1枚＋下は長ズボンで参加。
寒さ対策に持って行った使い捨てカイロもホテルに忘れる始末wwww

でも途中オニヅカで「いつもより風も少なく暖かい」との事で9℃くらいで
持参したUKのウルトラダウンを着用し同時に貸していただける防寒着のズボンのみ着用。
フリースなど着てた方もいらっしゃいましたが、思ってたより暖かかったので
オニヅカではコレだけで十分でした。

サンセットを見る山頂付近に到着後、上着+帽子+手袋をさらに貸して頂き
モコモコ状態で暖かかったんですが、やはり風があるため
体感的にはチョット寒かったですww
寒がりさんや寒い時期の参加なら、それなりの対策必須です。
星空観測の場所では少し下った場所だったのでバッチリ暖かかったです(^_^)

行きのオニヅカで頂いたお弁当はコンビニ弁当くらいに思ってたら
温かいお味噌汁に飲み物もあり、ちゃんとしたお弁当でビックリ！美味しかったですww
たぶん他の沢山のツアー会社さんに参加されてる方のお弁当を見た限り一番豪華かもww
星空観測の場所でもクッキーと紅茶のサービスもあり
至れり尽くせりで心も身体も暖かく過ごせ、このツアーに参加してホント良かったです。
ハワイ島での素晴らしい新たな想い出が増えました♪

I visit the Big Island of Hawaii every year. When you come here, be sure to enjoy it. You can have a more elevated experience than at a luau in Honolulu.

各年毎に訪れるハワイ島。ここにきたら是非楽しんでください。ホノルルでのルアウより、より崇高な体験ができますね。

We participated as a couple.
We chose this tour after seeing a feature on TV about the staff member Daisuke.

I usually don't give perfect scores, but to put it simply, choosing this tour was definitely the right decision. It became the best memory. It’s worth more than five stars.

When we entered the sea, Daisuke and Captain Nawata coordinated to predict the dolphins' path and guided us to the pod of dolphins.

We were able to swim with the dolphins several times during one dive. You can really swim close to them.

Even when searching for dolphins from the boat, they kept the conversation enjoyable, so I never felt bored.

If I have the chance to go to the Big Island again, I will definitely repeat this experience. Thank you so much, Nawata, Daisuke, and Yuko!

夫婦二人で参加しました。
TVでスタッフのダイスケさんの特集を見たのがきっかけで
このツアーにしました。

普段、評価で満点を付ける事はないのですが
結果を言えば、このツアーにして大正解でした。最高の想い出になりました。
星５個以上の価値があります

海に入るとダイスケさんと船上からキャプテンの縄田さんとの連携で
イルカの通り道を予測し、先回りをしてイルカの群れまで誘導してくれます

１度のダイブで数回、イルカと泳ぐ事ができました。
ホントに間近でイルカと泳げます。

船上からイルカを探す時も楽しい会話をしてくれるので
退屈しませんでした。

次回にハワイ島に行く機会があるなら絶対リピします。

We were seated at 5 PM, and the actual show started around 7 PM. Until then, we enjoyed drinks, hula experiences, and traditional Hawaiian cuisine. The show featured not only hula but also dances from other islands like Samoa. Between the dances, there were talks and songs from the host, and I thought it might have been more enjoyable if I understood a bit more English. The time flowed leisurely, and depending on the seats, you might not be very close to the stage, so small children might get bored.

17時に着席し、実際にショーが始まるのは19時ごろからでした。それまでは、ドリンクやフラ体験、ハワイの伝統料理などを楽しみました。ショーでは、フラだけでなく、サモアなど、他の島のダンスもありました。ダンスの合間に司会者のトークや歌があり、もう少し英語が分かればもっと楽しかったかなと思います。時間もゆったりと流れますし、席によってはそれほどステージに近くないため、小さなお子様は飽きてしまうかもしれません。

The guide provided detailed explanations, which was really great! I would like to use this service again!

I was worried about altitude sickness since I was with my elderly mother, but she only had a slight headache, so it was fine. The sunset was beautiful, and the gradient of the Earth's shadow afterward was stunning as well. During the stargazing, we could see the distant flames of Kilauea Volcano! The moon was close to full, so the sky was brighter than I had imagined. I was thrilled to see the Southern Cross! On the way there, we also stopped at a lava point, which was enjoyable. I was torn between the Kilauea Volcano tour and Mauna Kea, but I'm glad I chose Mauna Kea.

I'm glad I went with Masashi, which had great reviews. The lunch at the Onizuka Visitor Center was more luxurious compared to other tour groups, and the taste was excellent. The stargazing took place at a high-altitude parking lot, so we weren't disturbed by surrounding lights. If we had done stargazing at the Onizuka Center, the surrounding lights would have been a concern. The guide's talk was also enjoyable! Especially the explanations about the stars were easy to understand and impressive. On the way back, we stopped at the Mauna Lani Resort Shops, so I was able to buy breakfast for the next morning.

年配の母を、連れてなので高山病が心配でしたが、少し頭が痛かったくらいで大丈夫でした。サンセットは美しく、その後の地球の影のグラデーションも美しかった。その後の星空観察では、遠くのキラウエア火山の火が見えました！月が満月に近かったので想像していたよりも明るい空。そして、南十字星が見えたことに感動しました！行きの道中では、溶岩ポイントに寄ったりもあって楽しめました。キラウエア火山ツアーと迷ったけど、マウナケアにして、よかったー。

口コミで評判のよかったマサシにしてよかったです。オニズカビジターセンターでのお弁当も他のツアー客と比べて豪華だったし、味も問題なし。星空観測が標高の高い地点の駐車場だったので周りの灯りに邪魔されません。オニヅカセンターで星空観測だとちょっと周りの灯りが気になりそうですもの。ガイドさんのトークも楽しかった！特に星空の説明はわかりやすくて感激。帰りは、マウナラニリゾートのＳｈｏｐｓに寄ってくれたので次の日の朝食も買えてよかったです。

As a solo traveller from the UK it was a bit of a lucky dip as there are other providers of similar tours to this one.....worth every penny!our tour guide was Blake,he was very knowledgeable and friendly the sunset was truly amazing and the star gazing was fun and I learned alot about some of the stars..the telescopes was very good pieces of kit and we even saw the moon rising from the cloud horizon which was amazing too....we were very lucky with the weather conditions it wasn't windy at all,still a bit chilly on the summit tho..the parka jackets were good quality and clean....I could carry on,but gonna leave it here as amazing well worth it....one small note,the gloves supplied keep your hands warm but don't make it easy to take pictures on small cameras and mobile phones.

I was a bit worried since we were going over 4,000 meters, but thanks to the great arrangements made by Matsuzaki, there were no issues at all. The full moon was just a few days away, so we couldn't see a 100% starry sky due to the moonlight, but we enjoyed it enough. The sunset was amazing. I want to take my family and go again.

Fortunately, it wasn't cold when we went. The guide provided detailed explanations about the constellations, and even someone like me who knows nothing about them had a great time. Above all, I will never forget the excitement of seeing the moon through the telescope. While others were looking, they served cookies and warm tea, which helped keep us cozy. They also took a lot of photos, and we could download them freely, so I highly recommend this experience!

My main purpose on the Big Island was to observe the stars at Mauna Kea, so I joined this tour. The bus was full with 13 people. The guide talked almost the entire way there, which kept it from being boring. At various points, we also had opportunities for photos, which was a nice memory since I was traveling alone. Both the sunset and the starry sky were truly beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable about cameras and taught us a lot, allowing me to take the best photos.

It was my first vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii and I booked a full day circle tour with Wasabi Tours with my boyfriend, in order to get acquainted with the island's landscape and popular destinations. Our tour guide, Kala, was absolutely phenomenal! Not only did he show us all of the beautiful sights and landscapes that the island has to offer but he was also an encyclopedia of information! You could ask Kala almost anything about the island and he would almost certainly have the answer. Kala was a historian, a geographer, a geologist, a horticulturalist and even a sociologist all in one! He was a great story teller! Kala was also extremely hospitable, professional, warm, and inviting--right from the start to the end of the tour!Somehow he managed to keep enthusiastic for the 10+ hour long day. Kala mentioned he used to work in the high end resorts in the North Shore and you can really tell that he did, as he provides extremely professional service. He really went out of his way to make sure the guests were all getting the most out of the experience. When we learned the lava was really high in the Volcanoes National Park, Kala made a few separate attempts to return to the site, as the grounds were extremely steamy that particular day. He REALLY wanted us to see the lava, but it is so sad to say the weather did not cooperate that particular day despite Kala's greatest efforts. Despite this bad luck, we were fortunate enough to see all the other beautiful sites that Wasabi tours promises to take you! Finally, to top the day off, Kala knew how much I wanted to see some of the Hawaiian Honu (sea turtles), and he found me some of those as well! Overall, Wasabi Tours does a really great job preparing a fun and informative day for guests. Ultimately, a big thank you to Kala for keeping us entertained and showing us around the tropical paradise of Hawaii!
