This was my first time participating in horseback riding at the Kohala Coast. Previously, I rode in Waipi'o Valley. Riding in Waipi'o was quite thrilling, as the horse would wade through the river, almost getting our feet wet, and it was a lot of fun. However, this year, due to concerns about Zika and dengue fever, I opted for horseback riding in the mountains.

All the staff were women, and they were all adorable cowgirls. They let us run the horses at times, which gave a very free impression. Helmets, boots, and jackets for riding can be rented on-site. You can hang a pocket on the horse's back to carry water bottles, valuables, and cameras.

At scenic spots, they took photos for us. I highly recommend horseback riding on the Big Island!

今回、コハラ・コーストでの乗馬ははじめての参加です。以前はワイピオ渓谷での乗馬でした。ワイピオも水に足が浸かりそうな程ジャブジャブと川の中を馬の背に揺られたりしてかなりスリリングな体験ができて楽しかったですが、今年はジカ熱やデング熱の心配があるからと、山の上での乗馬にしました。
スタッフは全員女性。かわいいカウガールばかりでした。途中で走らせてくれたり、かなり自由な印象です。乗馬用のヘルメットやブーツ、上着などはその場でレンタルできます。馬の背にポケットを下げて、ペットボルや貴重品、カメラなどを持つことができます。
景色の良いところでは、写真を撮っていただけました。
ハワイ島での乗馬はおススメです！！

I had a wonderful time on the Big Island of Hawaii, riding horses with my daughter and husband. It was the perfect way to relax. During our trip, we enjoyed scuba diving and golf, and when we were tired, we lounged by the hotel pool, sipping on some cold beer and soaking in the happiness. Interacting with the horses was also very soothing. I was moved by the beauty of the coastline.

娘と夫婦３人で行った、大人だけのハワイ島馬に揺られて最高の骨休めのひと時が味わえました。旅行中は、スキューバダイビングとゴルフ、疲れた時はホテルのプールサイドで寝そべり、
冷たいビールを少々飲む、幸せな気分をまんきつできました。馬とのふれあいも癒されます。海岸線の美しさにかんどうしました。

The guide, Tori, was bright and kind, a really nice person! I was a bit worried about the night snorkeling since it was my first time, but we just held onto a board with lights and floated, so there was nothing to worry about at all. I was more moved by the manta rays that kept coming right up to us. We were in the water for about 30 minutes, so after getting out, it felt cold, so it's essential to have something to wear. I also think it's a good idea to bring a waterproof camera. You can take photos up close!

夜のシュノーケリングは初めてで怖いんじゃないかと少し心配していましたが、
ライト付きの板にみんなでつかまって浮いているだけなので、全く心配なことはありませんでした。それよりも目前まで何度もやってくるマンタに感動しっぱなしでした。
30分ほど水の中にいるので、あがったあとは寒さを感じるので羽織るものは必須です。
あと防水カメラ持っていくといいと思います。間近で撮影できます!

Lots of neat stuff at the bottom, and a very comfy ride.

Eka Canoe provided a great tour. The small group size gave a really good guide/tourist ratio. The fact that the boat sailed from Keauhou Bay meant that we only had a short (about five minutes) ride to the viewpoint. The experience of watching these creatures was fantastic. They are wild animals, so one never knows what to expect. I did not see the "inverted loop" feeding behaviour that is usually shown in promotional videos, but I saw four mantas cruising mid-way between the bottom and the surface. It was a remarkable experience. The crew and guide looked after us well. They were booked up for the remaining evenings that I had on the Big Island or I would have returned for a repeat tour!

Jim Carey was a fantastic tour guide. His stories and knowledge of the volcano, stars and planets was excellent.

Husband and I went together and the crew was great we just didn't think the snorkel was that great. We had issues with our gear and we didn't see too much

I decided to go to the Big Island because I wanted to participate in this. Even as a complete beginner, I was able to join in without any issues. There were guests at both the front and the back. Although they weren't part of our team, I saw another team that included children around elementary school age.

However, please note that no Japanese is spoken here. It was a wonderful experience to ride horses and enjoy a forest bath in such beautiful and majestic scenery.

By the way, I heard that clouds tend to gather more in the afternoon, so I participated in the morning session.

The day before, I stayed at Waipio Wayside B&B, which is about a 10-minute drive from the meeting point for this tour, and I highly recommend this B&B. I would love to stay there again.

これに参加したくてハワイ島行きを決めたくらいです。
まったく初心者の私でも十分に参加できました。
先頭と最後尾にゲストがついてくれます。
私たちのチームではないのですが、すれ違った別のチームには小学生くらいの子供もいました。

ただ、日本語は一切通じませんので、ご注意を。
とっても素敵・雄大な景色の中を馬に乗って散歩・森林浴するという素晴らしい体験となりました。

ちなみに本当かどうかわからないのですが、午後の方が雲が集まりやすいと聞いたので、
午前中の会参加しました。

前日は近く（このツアーの集合場所から車で10分ほど）のWaipio Wayside B&Bに宿泊しましたが、このB&Bは本当におすすめです。また宿泊したいです。

Since I was staying at the Sheraton near Keauhou Bay, it was easy to get around, and because it was an early morning tour, I was able to spend my time meaningfully. Although I didn't encounter any dolphins or sea turtles, kayaking was a fun experience that I don't often get to do. Compared to Oahu, the water was very clear and beautiful. Viewing the Big Island from the sea was interesting as I could feel the volcanic rock formations and the lush greenery.

ケアウホウ湾近くの、シェラトンに宿泊していたため、移動が楽で、早朝ツアーということもあり、時間を有意義に過ごせました。イルカやウミガメには出会えませんでしたが、カヤックを漕ぐことが、普段なかなかできない体験なので楽しかったです。オアフ島と比較して、海もとても澄んでいて綺麗でした。海の上からハワイ島を見ると火山性の岩の地形や、緑の自然を感じられて面白かったです。

We had a wonderful time. The captain steered around a storm and we were able to have a great trip. The food was delicious, the whole crew was great. Thanks for the awesome time.

It was such an amazing experience, my husband and I decided to buy a kayak, at some point. The guides were also awesome and they told us some history, as well as helped us found objects that we dropped out of they kayak. One guide actually found my husbands wedding ring that fell off his hand when he jumped off one of the cliffs. It was truly amazing and such a fun time with the group!

Horseback riding was a first experience for both of us as a couple. At first, we were surprised and nervous about the size and height of the horses, but it turned into a fun memory. We strolled leisurely through the great outdoors and felt very refreshed.

乗馬は夫婦共に初体験。初めは馬の大きさ、高さにビックリ、緊張しましたが、楽しい思い出となりました。のんびりと大自然の中を散策して、とてもリフレッシュ出来たと思います。

I purchased this excursion for my dad for Fathers Day....it was the perfect gift. Frankie was a great captain...lots of info and very personable. He let my son drive the boat...which was a highlight not only for my son...but also my dad....a very proud grandpa! I would highly recommend this trip.

I had previously participated in horseback riding in Waipi'o Valley on the Big Island, but this time I joined a horseback riding tour for the first time at the vast "Kohala Coast," which is less than an hour from Waikoloa Beach Resort. The view from the high elevation overlooking the coastline leading to the ranch was spectacular, and I really enjoyed the drive with the rental car.

There were only four of us women on the tour, which made me a bit anxious, but the guide communicated in broken Japanese, and we managed to confirm the necessary precautions through gestures, allowing us to start safely. The explanations during the tour were in English, so I didn't understand much. However, all the horses were calm and well-trained, so I felt safe letting myself go. I enjoyed the fresh air in the vast grasslands while admiring the scenery from horseback, and I had a great time on the "one and a half hour course"!

今までハワイ島でワイピオ渓谷での乗馬に参加していましたが、今回ワイコロアビーチリゾートから１時間弱、大草原「コハラ・コースト」での乗馬に初めて参加しました。標高が高く牧場へ向かう海岸線を見下ろす眺望は素晴らしく、レンタカーでのドライブも結構楽しめました。
ツアー参加者は私達女性４人のみで多少不安でしたが、案内は片言の日本語で何とか身振り手振りで諸注意事項も確認し合い無事にスタートが切れました。途中での説明は「英語」なので、分からない。どの馬も大人しくて良く調教されているので安心して身を任せ、大草原の中美味しい空気を吸いながら馬上から見渡す景色にも感嘆しつつ「１時間半コース」を満喫！！できました。

Ed was our guide and he was very good. Trip was well organized. I would recommend this tour.

We participated as a family of four, including my parents and my 5-year-old son. Fortunately, we had a private tour just for our family. Since my son wasn't feeling well the day after we arrived on the Big Island, we were able to change the usual course and enjoyed kayaking in the nearby bay area. They were very considerate, and my parents even tried snorkeling, which seemed to make them very happy. I would love to participate again if there’s another opportunity.

両親と5歳の息子の4人で参加しました。ありがたいことに私たち家族だけでプライベートツアーになりました。
ハワイ島到着の翌日で息子の体調が思わしくなかったため、通常コースからら変更していただき、湾周辺の近場でカヤックを楽しみました。
いろいろ気を遣っていただき、両親はシュノーケルにも挑戦し、大満足だったようです。また機械があれば参加したいです。

Mike Nelson was the best guide! He knew everything about the island - and catered to our needs. He gave us options based on our interests and prior experience on the island. He did his best to give us a good understanding of the people, history, culture, and economy of the island. Knew local legends, astronomical information, plant and animal facts, as well as best "tips" on everything from restaurants and beaches, to coffee and desserts.

It was an emotional moment as so many dolphins approached us, and in the end, Nankai even showed us a twist jump. I highly recommend it.

I was really tense on the boat, worried about seasickness, but the staff skillfully eased my feelings and lifted my spirits. At first, I struggled to get used to the water and ended up drinking seawater, but with the staff's appropriate advice, I got accustomed to it in the second half, my field of vision expanded, and I became more relaxed. I think anyone can enjoy this experience.

野生とは思えないほど、沢山のイルカが寄ってきてくれ、最後はひねりをいれたジャンプを南海も見せてくれました。感動のひと時でした。お勧めです。
私は金づちの上に、船酔いが心配で、ガチガチだったのですが、スタッフの方が上手に気持ちをほぐし、テンションをあげてくれました。初めは水の中に慣れず、海水を飲んだりと苦戦しましたがスタッフの適切なアドバイスで後半は慣れ、視野も広がり、余裕もでてきました。誰でも楽しめると思います。

A vast ranch where I went for my first horseback riding experience. I received guidance from two friendly and wonderful women, and then it was time to challenge myself. I was surprised that I had to ride the horse on my own right away, but the horses were quite accustomed to it. When we picked up the pace a bit, I got scared and asked to walk slowly instead. However, going up and down the mountain slopes and through the muddy areas kept my heart racing the whole time. My husband, who doesn't speak English, seemed to have a hard time expressing his thoughts, but aside from that, it was truly a refreshing and wonderful experience. We participated in the one-and-a-half-hour plan, and later I felt muscle soreness in my inner thighs, so I was glad we didn't choose the three-hour option. If I visit the Big Island again, I would love to participate once more.

初めての乗馬に訪れたとてつもなく広い牧場。フレンドリーで素敵な女性二人に指導を受け、さあ挑戦。いきなり自分で馬を駆りついて行かなくてはならないのにはビックリしたけど馬達は慣れたものでした。途中で少し速足になった時は恐くなり、ゆっくり歩くだけにしてもらいました。でも山の斜面を登ったり下ったり、ぬかるみの中に入っていったりでずっとドキドキ。英語の喋れない主人は思ったことを伝えられず大変だったようですがそれ以外は本当に爽快で素晴らしい体験になりました。私たちは1時間半のプランに参加したのですが、後で内股に筋肉痛があり3時間にしなくて良かったと思いました。次回ハワイ島に訪れることがあればまた参加したいと思います。

I participated with my two daughters. The guides were very kind, and their explanations were easy to understand, which was great. We got close enough to touch the manta rays. It was an emotional experience!!

娘2人と参加しました。ガイドの方々もとても親切で説明もわかりやすくて良かったです。マンタが触れる距離まで近付いてくれました。感動でした！！

We participated as a family of five. I was worried about my youngest child (7 years old), but they had no problems and enjoyed it completely. It was great to see sharks and dolphins. The only downside was that there was no restroom on the boat, so be careful not to drink too much! On the way back, I was almost about to leak (laughs).

家族５人での参加でした。危ないかなと心配だった一番下の子（７歳）ですが全く問題なく楽しんでました。サメ、イルカも見れてよかったです。船にトイレがないのが少し難点で水分取り過ぎ注意です！帰り漏れそうでした（笑）

Kayaking with Kevin (owner and our guide that day) was a lot of fun! Kev was very nice and friendly. He did a quick briefing on how to use the kayak and the paddles. And we were on our way exploring bay after bay and caves after caves. There were plenty of locations to snorkel. Kev took great photos, too! He brought us fresh tropical fruits for our snack and they tasted soooo good, especially after the snorkeling and paddling! King Kayak Hawaii is definitely the company to book this adventure with! Thanks Kev!

This activity was totally worth it. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The canoe was very cool, too. We saw plenty of manta rays. If you like small groups for night snorkel, then this is your best bet. Hot cocoa was provided after the swim. We had a lot of fun! This is definitely a must-do and I highly recommend Eka Canoe for your reservation!

My first time on the Big Island of Hawaii! My wife and I participated in an ocean rafting tour that included snorkeling and exploring lava cliffs. Since we departed at 10 AM, we took our time in the morning to stroll around the hotel area before driving to the harbor where we gathered with other participants. We set off a bit earlier than scheduled!

During the ocean rafting to the snorkeling point, we stopped at various spots along the way where they provided explanations, allowing us to enjoy taking photos and sightseeing. We also saw a lot of wild dolphins! I didn't expect to see so many.

At the snorkeling point, the water clarity was outstanding, and since it was in a bay, there were no waves, making it the perfect snorkeling spot. There were plenty of fish, it felt like an aquarium. The sandwiches for lunch were delicious too.

However, the sun in Kona is incredibly strong. Even though I applied sunscreen, I got a severe sunburn on my back because I was so focused on snorkeling! Be careful!

The return rafting offered a breathtaking view of the lava cliffs that can only be seen from the sea. Everyone on the tour was from overseas and they were all really nice people. Thank you!

初めてのハワイ島。シュノーケルと溶岩の岸壁でオーシャンラフティングも楽しめるということで妻と二人で参加させて頂きました！
10時出発なので、朝ゆっくりホテル周辺を散歩などして、レンタカーで集合場所のハーバーへ。他の参加者の方もみんな到着して少し早めに出発！
シュノーケルポイントまでのオーシャンラフティングでは、途中様々なスポットに止まってくれて説明してくれるので、写真撮影や観光を楽しめました。
そして野生のイルカもたくさん！こんなに居るとは思いませんでした。
シュノーケルポイントでは水の透明度が抜群で、湾の中にあるため波もなく、最高のシュノーケルスポットでした。魚の数も多く、まるで水族館。ランチのサンドイッチもおいしかったです。
ただコナの日射しがものすごく強くて。。日焼け止めしていたのですが、シュノーケルに夢中で背中がひどく日焼けしました！要注意です！
帰りのラフティングも、溶岩の岸壁で海からしか見られない貴重な景色で迫力満点。
一緒のツアーの方は皆海外の方でいい人ばかりでした。

Very enjoyable day. The crew was friendly, but the bartender could have had some help. More help for the bartender, would have made the company more money. Fun that we also caught a fish.

We loved the day out. Our guide was super friendly, informative and easy going. He handled the group of non english speakers with us really well. And he gave us great local info. We kayaked, snorkeled, cliff dove, snorkeled again, ate and it didn't feel rushed at all. Had an intense moment staring into the clear blue water while snorkeling - most memorable moments of my trip. Thanks you all!

I've taken three different groups on three different manta swims and this one was the best! I really liked how we were tethered to the boat so that inexperienced snorkelers and people that got cold could easily climb back on the boat while the rest of us could continue to enjoy the mantas. Because we were on the moonlight swim, we were in the harbor by ourselves by the end. All the mantas (four total that night) were ours to observe. It was awesome.

This is really a must-do for your Big Island trip.

Our group took the morning tour and it was great to have the place to ourselves for a fair amount of time. The snorkeling was best before all the other boats arrived. The kayaking was fun and not too difficult. We had two people in our group that had never kayaked before and they enjoyed themselves.

We found this Cruise to be entertaining and relaxing. The music was great. The food and drink were very good and plentiful. The hosts were very gracious and we met many nice guests that we enjoyed sharing information of our adventures. We would recommend this to anyone!
