When the guide is different, the experience and impressions also change. I was able to truly feel that with a wonderful guide.

During this trip to Hawaii, which lasted eight nights, we signed up for many tours. Each had its own merits, but my husband and I often reflected, "We wish we could have asked Mr. Nawata (the guide for this tour) for all the tours."

He is truly knowledgeable about Hawaii and shares various stories with great enthusiasm. Additionally, he is very reliable; just by following Mr. Nawata in the water, we felt assured that we would definitely see dolphins! If we have the opportunity to go to Hawaii again, I would definitely like to ask Mr. Nawata for his guidance. (Mr. Nawata is knowledgeable not only about the sea but also about the land and mountains—he really knows everything!)

You can really see dolphins right in front of you. While we couldn't swim at the same speed as them, it seems that depending on the dolphins' condition and mood, it might be possible. I, who easily gets seasick, was able to enjoy myself without feeling nauseous. Thank you so much! I look forward to working with you again!!

On September 25th, I participated in this tour for the first time with a female friend. First, the guide picked us up at the hotel. Since we were the only participants, we had the guide all to ourselves, and after the pickup, we went straight to the port. The guide was Mr. Nawa, who was born in Hakata. He was very friendly and, thanks to his proactive advice, we were able to enjoy the tour from start to finish without any confusion, even though it was our first time.

After arriving at the port, we put on wetsuits over our swimsuits and boarded a rubber boat with other groups. I tend to get motion sickness, so I took some medicine beforehand, but I think due to the weather, I was completely fine. Sitting on the rubber boat felt like being on a banana boat, and I forgot about feeling seasick and had a great time. The captain and the crew were very friendly, which helped us relax.

We had three opportunities to watch dolphins. The boat anchored at a point where the dolphins were gathered, and everyone quickly put on their snorkels and fins and jumped into the sea. Even those who aren't confident swimmers will be fine! There are floats available. Once in the water, we all swam towards the dolphins based on the guide's instructions. まず、ガイドさんがホテルまでピックアップしてくれます。
私達は偶々参加者が私達だけだったこともあり、ガイドさんも一人占めでしたし、ピックアップ後は、港へ直行でした。

気さくに話しかけていただき、また、先を読んだアドバイスのおかげで、初参加でしたが、戸惑うことなくツアーの最初から最後まで存分に楽しめました。
港に到着後は、ウエットスーツを水着の上から着用し、他の団体と一緒にゴムボートに乗り込みました。
私は乗り物酔いが酷いので事前に酔い止めを飲んでいましたが、天候の加減もあるかとは思いますが、全然大丈夫でした。
ゴムボート部分にまたがるとバナナボートみたいで、酔うことも忘れて楽しかったですよ。船長さんも、ボーイズ達も、とってもフレンドリーでしたし、リラックス出来ました。
イルカ鑑賞は三回。
イルカが集まってるポイントへ船をつけてもらい、皆一斉にシュノーケルとフィン付けて海に飛び込みます。
泳ぎに自信がない人も大丈夫！浮きも有りますから。
海に飛び込むと、ガイドさんの声を参考に、イルカの泳いでる場所に向かって一斉に泳ぎます。
イルカには触れなければどれだけでも近づけます。
私も思う存分泳ぎました。
今回参加した皆さんの熱い気持ちが通じたのでしょう、イルカは手が届きそうなくらい近くに、沢山泳いでいて、同じ場所で長い時間遊んでいってくれるイルカ達もいました。
海の中では、イルカの可愛い鳴き声も聞こえますし、本当に期待以上の体験が出来ました。
帰りには、今までに見たこともないような美しいビーチにも立ち寄っていただき、最高でした。
ガイドさんは、イルカと泳いでいる写真もとって下さり、記念に送っていただきました。本当に至れり尽くせりでした。
皆さん、参加する価値めちゃめちゃあると思いますよ！！
参加者はカップルもグループも色々。お子さんはいなかったけど、参加者は皆大いに楽しめ、感動度の高いツアーと思いました。

I participated in the experience campaign on September 21.

We departed from Honokohau Marina in the Kona area on a very large rubber boat called Sea Wolf.

*Unrelated, but the captain of the Sea Wolf was quite big and muscular, yet he spoke in a high-pitched and cute voice with broken Japanese, which was a bit amusing due to the contrast.

While some may have preferences regarding rubber boats, unlike regular boats, we could all enter the water simultaneously from the side of the boat instead of waiting to enter from the back. This meant that even if dolphins appeared, the chances of missing them due to waiting in line were low, which I personally found very good.

The dolphin point itself is close to the marina, but for those who are prone to seasickness, it's safer to take motion sickness medication beforehand.

Additionally, you can choose from life jackets or floatation devices, so even non-swimmers and children can feel safe. Conversely, for those who can swim, not having a life jacket (especially) allows for more freedom in the water. By the way, I was allowed to swim freely without a wetsuit, life jacket, or floatation device.

Shortly after leaving the harbor, I was surprised at how easily we encountered a pod of about seven dolphins. During the first entry, we were able to see two groups of seven dolphins each.

On the way to explore the dolphins, there seemed to be a manta ray point nearby, and during the second entry, we were able to encounter three manta rays at that point.

The mantas were swimming around that area, and the water depth was about 10 meters, so we could see the mantas from above with plenty of excitement, and for those who could dive, they could see the mantas quite closely.

I was thrilled to see a manta ray swimming with its mouth open to eat plankton for the first time from the front, and I could even see the stripes inside its mouth.

Soon after, during the third entry, perhaps due to luck, the dolphins swam around for a very long time, and at times, I was able to swim with them at a distance of about 50 cm, and they jumped right in front of me, providing quite a show.

9月21日に参加してきました。

コナ地区のホノコハウマリーナから、
非常に大きいゴムボート（？）シーウルフ（海狼）号で出発しました。

※関係ないですが、シーウルフ号の船長はかなり体格がよくごつい感じですが、
体の割りにかなり高くてかわいい声で片言の日本語で気さくに話してくれ、

ゴムボート的な船は好き嫌いはあるかもしれませんが
通常のボートと違い後方から海へエントリーするのではなく、
ボートのサイドからみな同時にエントリーできたので、
イルカが現れてもエントリー順番待ちにより
イルカを見逃す可能性が少なくて個人的には非常によかったです。

なお、イルカのポイント自体は、マリーナから近いですが、
酔いやすい人は酔い止めを飲んでおいた方が安全です。

また、浮くための道具としては、ライフジャケットや、浮き棒を選べるので、
泳げない人や子供でも安心です。
逆に泳げる人は、（特にライフジャケットは）ない方が自由に泳げて
よいと思います。
ちなみに、私はウェットスーツも、ライフジャケットも浮き棒もなしで
自由に泳がさせてもらいました。


港を出て早々、こんなにも簡単に見つかるものかと
イルカ7匹ぐらいの群れに遭遇し、
1回目のエントリー時は、
イルカ7匹×２（別グループ）を見ることができました。

イルカ探索の道中、近くにマンタポイントもあったようで、
2回目のエントリー時は、
マンタポイントでマンタ3枚にも遭遇することができました。

マンタはそのポイント界隈を回遊しており、
水深はだいたい10メートルないぐらいなので、
上からでも十分な迫力でマンタを見ることができますし、
潜れる人であればかなり近くでマンタを見ることができました。

マンタがプランクトンを食べようと口を空けながら泳ぐ姿を
初めて真正面から見ることができ、さらに口の中の縞々も見ることができて
大興奮でした。


ほどなくして3回目のエントリー時、
運もよかったのか、今回のイルカは非常に長い時間周辺を泳いでくれて
近いときは50cmくらいの距離でイルカと一緒に泳ぐことができたり、
ほんと目の前でジャンプしてくれたりとかなりサービス

When we arrived at the meeting point on the pier, we immediately recognized the boat that was docked. The boat was clean, with tables and benches on the first floor, and only benches on the second floor. There was plenty of space to move around. We had a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old with us, and there were activities that everyone, from kids to adults, could enjoy, such as watching dolphins and riding in a boat shaped like a float. The staff were friendly and very attentive. They also provided wetsuits for both children and adults (each for $10). We were also soothed by the wonderful views, sea breeze, and music. I highly recommend it.

Cruising while being blown by the sea breeze was very pleasant. The view of Hawaii Island from the ocean was also wonderful. Along the way, a pod of about five or six dolphins came close and swam right by us, which was a bit moving. The snorkeling was beautiful with its blue waters, but it was a bit disappointing that there weren't many fish. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the cruising was, and I felt glad to have participated.

I went with my 6-year-old and 4-year-old, and both of them enjoyed floating in the sea. The activities were enjoyable for the kids as well. We were the only Japanese people there, but it wasn't a problem at all. Grandpa just watched, but the boat was large enough to provide shade, so waiting was comfortable.

It was late March, but it was cold.
Aside from our group, there were couples and families of foreign tourists. (I always wonder why they are so resilient to the cold...)
It was too cold to swim much.
However, dolphins came very close to our small cruiser, and they were so cute. We were able to take pictures.
For lunch, we had grilled hamburgers on the boat. They were delicious.
Since we went with about 20 people, it might feel lonely to join alone if you don't speak English.

We absolutely loved our day on the Hula Kai! Before we even left the harbour we saw a monk seal and spinner dolphins. A few minutes out, we came upon a pod of pilot whales then a few minutes later, another. The snorkel locations were wonderful, the crew great. We've been to the island several times and this was definitely the best snorkel/scuba experience we've had!

I went last week!

It was a tour that I was completely satisfied with. On the day we participated, my group was the only one made up of Japanese people. Most of the other guests were from the mainland United States. There were mostly couples, families, and groups participating.

We received safety instructions for snorkeling, but we were given a paper written in Japanese, so I think even those who are worried about the language can participate with peace of mind. Also, the staff and the surrounding guests all had a friendly atmosphere, so even if you don't speak English well, you can communicate with simple words and have a good time.

I think it's okay for those who are not confident in swimming to participate. On this tour, there were people enjoying themselves while floating on inflatable rings.

I recommend this tour for the morning since the waves are calmer then. Even in the morning tour, the waves do get a bit higher in the latter half.

It was a very enjoyable tour, but I got seasick on the way back. It takes nearly 30 minutes from the snorkeling point to the port, so you might feel nauseous. I recommend bringing motion sickness medication. Even if you don't have any, if you tell the staff, they will make ginger ale to help alleviate the nausea.

For snorkeling, I was lent a prescription snorkeling set. It's recommended for those who wear glasses.

Everyone was able to return to their childhood, jumping into the sea and enjoying snorkeling, having a great time. Other guests were also frolicking like children. I definitely recommend participating as a group and having fun together.

The water was clear down to the bottom, which was impressive. There were many sea urchins at the bottom, and I was able to see cute fish as well. The seawater was warm, which was also nice.

また、午前中のほうが波が静かなので、こちらのツアーをお勧めします。午前中のツアーでも後半では波が少し高くなってきます。

とても楽しいツアーでしたが、帰りの船で船酔いしてしまいました。スノーケリングのポイントから港まで３０分近くかかるので、気持ち悪くなるかもしれません。
酔い止めを持っていくことをお勧めします。
もし、酔い止めをもっていなくとも、スタッフに伝えれば、酔い止めを緩和するジンジャーエールを作ってくれます。

スノーケリングでは、度付きのスノーケリングセットを貸してもらいました。めがねの人はお勧めです。

みんなが童心に帰って、海に飛び込んだり、スノーケリングを楽しんだり、楽しい時間をすごすことができました。
他のお客さんも子供のようにはしゃいでいました。
絶対、グループで参加してみんなでワイワイ過ごすことをオススメします。

海の中は底まで透き通っていて、感動的でした。

I participated on May 20th.
First, the reception desk was set up in front of the Body Glove boat. Staff members arrived a little before the meeting time. It seemed there were no staff who spoke Japanese, but everyone was very gentlemanly and friendly, and they kindly listened even to my broken English, which was helpful.
We encountered a pod of dolphins right after departure. I think there were about 20 of them. It was my first time seeing wild dolphins, and I was moved. By the way, we encountered them again at the same spot on the way back, so they might always be there during this time of year.
After that, it took about 40 minutes to reach the snorkeling point. There was guidance in English along the way, but I couldn't catch it because it was too fast. However, they showed us a Japanese explanation sheet, so it was not a problem at all.
You can enjoy snorkeling for over two hours at a depth of about 5 to 10 meters where there are coral reefs. The water was a bit cold and somewhat chilly, but the visibility was high and there were many fish, so I had a great time. There seemed to be life jackets available, but I was strongly recommended to use a noodle, which is a long foam float, and when I tried it, it was indeed easy to use. Of course, they also lend you a snorkel and fins.

　出発してすぐにイルカの群れに遭遇しました。２０頭ぐらいはいたと思います。野生のイルカは初めて見たので感動でした。ちなみに、帰りも同じポイントで遭遇しましたので、この時期は日中いつもそこにいるのかも知れません。
　その後、４０分ほどかけてシュノーケリングポイントに到達します。途中、英語でガイダンスがありますが、早口で全く聞き取れませんでした。でも、日本語の説明書を見せてくれるので全く問題なかったです。
　珊瑚礁のある深さ５~１０ｍ程度のところで２時間以上シュノーケリングを満喫できます。水がやや冷たく若干肌寒かったですが、透明度は高く魚も多いので楽しめました。ライフジャケットもあるようでしたが、ヌードルという細長い発泡スチロールのような浮きを強く奨められ、使ってみたところ確かに使いやすかったです。もちろん、シュノーケルとフィンも貸してくれます。
　食事は、船に乗るとすぐに朝食（パン、マフィン、果物、飲み物）をフリーで取ることができ、シュノーケリングポイントにつくとランチ（パン、ハム、野菜、ポテトチップス、飲み物などいずれも複数種類）が用意され、これもフリーで食べられます。味はまあ普通ですが、種類がいろいろあるのがよいと思いました。
　日本人は我々だけでしたが、スタッフがとても丁寧なので参加しやすいツアーだと思います。一点だけ、船は結構揺れるので、弱い方は酔い止めを飲んで参加した方が安心だと思います。

　オプションでダイビングもしました。言葉は解りませんが、ちゃんとポイント名も教えてくれて、ガイドもしてくれたので、結構楽しめました。　ただ、ダイビングをしてしまうと、自由時間（？）が少なくなってしまいます。せっかくなら、イルカがいるところで、ダイビングできたら最高なのにな、と思いました。

Since we didn't have a rental car, we participated in this tour with transportation included. It took about 45 minutes to get from our hotel to the meeting point, and we were dropped off just before the port, so we needed to walk to the Body Glove boat. The crew was at the reception, and you can check in by saying your name. As mentioned in other posts, the crew does not understand Japanese at all. I also speak very little English, but they provide a Japanese sheet with important information and emergency signals, so it's okay if you don't understand the English explanations. Since I have poor eyesight, they lent me prescription snorkeling goggles. I didn't understand everything in English, but since I participated in January, it was whale watching season, not dolphin watching. It was a great deal because you could snorkel and see whales. Although the sea was calm, it was still open ocean, so those prone to seasickness should take precautions. They do provide emergency assistance, but I think you need to be capable of managing your own snorkeling. Regarding transportation, the pickup was over an hour after the cruise ended, so I think it's fine to explore the nearby shops. 滞在ホテルより集合場所までは４５分くらい、港の手前で下ろされるため、ボディーグローブ号まで歩いていく必要はあります。クルーが受付をしているので名前を言えばチェックインできます。投稿にあるとおりクルーに日本語はまったく通じません。当方も英語はほとんどしゃべれませんが、注意事項、危険時の合図などは日本語のシートを出してくれるので英語の説明がわからなくても大丈夫です。目が悪いのでめがねをかけていたら度つきの水中グラスも貸してくれました。また英語のためわからなかったのですが当方の参加した一月は鯨が来るシーズンのためイルカではなくホエールウオッチングでした。シュノーケリングもでき鯨も見れることでお得ではありました。穏やかとはいえ外洋なので波はあるので船酔いするかたは対策が必要です。また緊急時の対応はしてくれますが自己管理でシュノーケリングできる能力は必要とみます。送迎のほうですが迎えはクルージング終了後一時間以上もあったので周辺のお店を散策してもいいと思います。ビッグアイランドでしか味わえない体験ができるアクテビティだと思います。

We barely left the hotel on time, but we quickly found free parking near Kailua Pier, and it was easy to park. I came wearing my swimsuit from the hotel, and there was a simple changing room next to the restroom at Kailua Pier. Some participants even changed in the restroom of the Body Glove boat.

一番上の小学生の子供は、ガンガン遊びましたが、下の２人の子供たち（５才と３才）は、最初こそ勢いよく海に飛び込んだのですが、海水が冷たいのか、濃度が高いのか、足や腕がイタイと言って、すぐに上がってしまい、船の上で様々に遊んでいました。イルカは見れませんでしたが、亀が見れたのには、はしゃいでいました。
朝の出発直後の軽食（菓子パンとフルーツ）はまあまあ。ですが、お昼のサンドイッチは、とてもおいしかったです。
次回行ったときも、必ず絶対やります！とってもよいツアーでした。

I participated in this cruise with my parents, making it a family of three. We were the only Japanese people there, but everyone was friendly and it was a lot of fun.

The weather was nice that day, but since it was February, it was quite cold when we entered the water. However, once we got used to it, it was no problem at all! We were able to see beautiful tropical fish swimming around.

We snorkeled at two locations, and in between, we enjoyed breakfast and lunch. The large hamburger for lunch was very filling and delicious.

I think this is a great activity for those who want to spend a relaxing time on the sea.

We were the only Japanese couple on board. The boat was full with couples and families (about 60 people), but it was spacious enough, and the staff were friendly, chatting with us and other tourists in my limited English. My husband and I couldn't swim without wearing rash guards because it was cold (unfortunately, it was a cloudy day), but the other Westerners enjoyed snorkeling in just their swimsuits without feeling cold at all. There was even a pregnant woman who was 10 months along, which surprised me! Even if you can't swim, there are various floatation devices available, so it's fine. The parking lot designated from the Hilton Hotel where we stayed was quite a distance away, but the traffic flowed smoothly, and we arrived without getting lost and with plenty of time to spare. After checking in at the counter, we enjoyed some delicious coffee that was prepared while we waited for departure.

Once we set sail, we moved along the blue sea (at quite a speed!) next to the lava fields. There were just over ten participants, and only two groups were Japanese, including us. When we arrived at the spot, the guide explained the swimming area, and everyone entered the water at their leisure.

My English is at a middle school level, but the guide explained things with gestures, so there were no problems. It was my first time snorkeling, and although I was a bit scared in the very clear water, I quickly became captivated by the colorful, beautiful fish, and time flew by.

After swimming at two spots, we enjoyed BBQ hamburgers grilled on the boat, which left us both satisfied in our stomachs and hearts. We also visited several sightseeing spots and took lots of photos. The restroom on the boat was spacious and clean, making it easy to change into our swimsuits, which I personally appreciated. This is a great tour where you can see various aspects of the Big Island in just a few hours. I would love to participate again when I go back to Hawaii!

２ヶ所のスポットで泳いだ後に船上で焼いたBBQのハンバーガーを頂き、お腹も心も大満足でした。

On the return cruise, we were guided past the Captain Cook monument and the coffee belt area of Kona, as well as the nearby Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, allowing us to enjoy a bit of sightseeing of the Big Island from the sea. また英語ツアーですが、皆さんがご指摘した通り全く心配ありませんでした。スタッフの方々すべてがフレンドリーで、丁寧な対応でゆっくりと話してくださったので、英語のあまり得意でない私にもジョークも含めてよくわかりました。シュノーケリンググッズを乗船前に準備していただき、いざ出航となります。

案内された目的地では、シュノーケリングに適した湾に２箇所ほどで思う存分サンゴ礁の上を泳ぐことができました。透明度も高く３０ｍほどはあったと思います。バタフライフィッシュをはじめ熱帯地区特有の様々な魚を観る事ができました。事前情報から海亀と出会えることを期待してましたが、残念ながら夢かなわず…。しかしながら、１ｍほどの大きなタコと遭遇することができました。

ランチには焼きたてのビッグハンバーガーとフルーツをおいしくいただき、日光浴をデッキの上で楽しみました。穏やかな波でしたし、船酔いの心配も特にないと思います。また、オプションでダイビングも１本楽しめるツアーですが、シュノーケリングとスキンダイブだけでも存分に楽しめるツアーです。

クルージングの帰路では、キャプテンクックの記念碑やコナ地区のコーヒーベルト地帯とその近くのプウホヌア・オ・ホナウナウ国立歴史公園の案内があり、海からのちょっとしたハワイ島観光も楽しめました。そのときの英語はナチュラルスピードで、なんとなくでしか内容の説明はわかりませんでしたが…。あらかじめ予習しておくといいかも知れません。

そしてなんといっても印象的でしたのが、野生のイルカと出会うことができ、ドルフィンジャンプも見ることが出来たことです。綺麗な嬉しく楽しい思い出となりました。

これぞハワイ島という程に自然を満喫できるお勧めのツアーです。でも、天気がいいときは、紫外線対策を忘れないように…。
