Honestly, I only saw the manta rays twice, and both times they were far away for just a moment. There were no close encounters where they were feeding right in front of me, as described in the tour details. It seems that the weather on the day can also affect this, and since manta rays are natural creatures, it's not guaranteed that you'll see them every time.

Since I didn't see them, I was really grateful for the policy that allows a free retry next time.

Although I didn't see the manta rays, I was lucky enough to spot dolphins from the boat. They jumped and swam close to us, which was really fortunate. I definitely want to try for the manta rays again next time.

The weather hadn't been very good until the day before, but we were blessed with great weather on the day itself, so I didn't experience any seasickness without taking any medication. We saw several whales in the distance, including their tails, backs, and spouts. Just when I thought that was all we would see, there was suddenly a series of breaches right in front of us! The ship was larger than I expected. There was someone explaining over the speaker, but it was all in English, so I didn't understand it very well. There were hardly any Japanese guests. I was worried about seasickness, so I took some medication before heading out, but I didn't feel much rocking at all. I was able to see whales about four times, but of course, since we couldn't get too close, just watching from a distance lacked a bit of impact. However, being able to see them with the naked eye is only possible during this season, so I was really moved just to have had the chance to see them!

We participated as a family of three. I was worried about getting seasick, but I took some motion sickness medication before heading out. The captain and the crew were so cheerful, it really felt like a party on the boat! The pleasant breeze and splashes of waves lifted my spirits, and before I knew it, I had forgotten all about my seasickness. The sunset was also incredibly beautiful! We saw manta rays swim by about five times, and they even showed us their turns, which was truly moving! I absolutely recommend this tour! On the way back, the wind can be chilly on your wet body, so it's a good idea to bring something to wear.

I participated in the tour in early February 2020. After checking in at the tour reception, we boarded a small boat at a shallow beach and then transferred to a medium-sized whale-watching boat after heading a little offshore. Since this tour was not specifically for Japanese speakers, all the explanations were in English, and we didn't understand much as we are not very good at English. However, both the reception staff and the crew were friendly, so we didn't feel out of place.

The tour includes drinks and snacks. We didn't need them, so we didn't eat or drink, but I appreciated that the crew took the time to ask if we wanted something to drink and made an effort to deliver drinks to elderly passengers who found it difficult to move around due to the boat's rocking.

What kind of whales we encounter is purely a matter of luck, but this time we were able to see a mother whale with her baby. We didn't get to see any flashy displays, but we enjoyed watching them blow water and see their tails.

If we could understand English better, we might have enjoyed it even more, but it was a tour that was enjoyable even without knowing English.

It was great to move by boat while watching the sunset falling into the sea. The blue glowing lights were also fantastical and beautiful. After waiting for a few minutes holding onto a buoy like a board, a manta ray came from the ocean floor. It approached right below my stomach, opening its large mouth and spinning around. I was able to see three manta rays. It was wonderful.

I made a round trip to Captain Cook's Cove, but I wasn't able to see a single whale or dolphin. The crew kept explaining things over the microphone, so for those who understand English, it might have been a nice experience even without seeing whales. The weather was perfect, and it was a pleasant cruise. However, my wife seemed to be too seasick to enjoy the scenery.

Well, we were very excited to go on this tour. We have gone out in Alaska on whale tours and had a blast. First of all we noticed that the "safety" protocols were not very obvious. There were 12 guests on board and we noticed ONE life jacket. You basically scream across the water for over an hour, sitting on the edge of the raft and got bounced to kingdom come. We did see a mama and baby whale, which was nice. But, we both got sick on the boat. The staff was nice, but not overly accommodating with our throwing up and getting sick.

We were on our honeymoon, and it was truly disappointing. I was told I could reschedule for another day, but there's no guarantee that the same issue won't happen again, and I can't trust this company, so I canceled.

I participated in the manta tour, but unfortunately, we couldn't see any mantas due to rough seas. Since it was the last day on the Big Island and I was scheduled to return to Oahu, I was a bit disappointed thinking I wouldn't be able to participate in any more activities, even with the guarantee system in place.

However, I was informed that since the headquarters is located on Oahu, I could switch to a local tour there, and I was able to join a dolphin swim tour in Oahu!

That tour was amazing, as I got to swim with many dolphins.

Although I was disappointed not to see mantas on the manta tour, the comprehensive guarantee system helped me avoid feeling like I lost out. I highly recommend this company's tours over others.

The water was cold, so I was glad to borrow a wetsuit. I was fortunate to see a manta ray, even if just once. The hot cocoa on the way back was delicious!

参加する前に心配していたのは服装の事。ハワイの冬の海はどのくらい寒いのか？ずぶ濡れになってしまうのか？靴は？という事で結論は、海は少しうねりがありボートの波しぶきが少しかかる程度でした。海のコンディションにもよると思いますが、少し濡れてもいいくらいの格好で大丈夫。ちなみに私はTシャツにフード付きラッシュガード、パンツ、マリンシューズ。、サングラスは必須です。ボートはすごいスピードでバウンドしながら疾走するのでキャップは飛んでしまいます。

I signed up for whale watching for the first time. The guide spoke English and explained everything very clearly, so I was able to enjoy the time until we reached the point where we could see the whales without getting bored. We happened to encounter a mother and baby whale, and since they were right beneath the boat, I was lucky to see the whole thing. It was great that there were drinks available, including alcohol.

I participated in this tour on the Big Island, but since the company also has a branch on Oahu, I signed up for a snorkeling tour to see turtles there, which was really free. 今回はハワイ島での参加でしたがオアフ島にも会社があるので後日オアフ島でカメを見に行くシュノーケリングツアーへ参加申し込みして本当に無料。ホテルまで送迎してくれて至れり尽くせり。クルー全員元気が良くて参加者を最初から最後まで楽しませてくれました。シュノーケリングでは目の前でカメを観察できたり素潜りで海底を散策！？出来たり海の上での滑り台やトランポリンで遊んだり大満足！！温かい飲み物も出してくれて助かりました。パイナップル超美味しかったです。オアフ支社のシャネルちゃん、良きハワイの思い出になりました！ありがとう

It’s not that I couldn’t see them, but I thought I would be able to see them much closer. Upon further inquiry, I learned that during the afternoon, the whales are napping, so they are not very visible unless you go in the morning or around evening.

Also, when I tried to book, I wanted to sign up for the Tuesday evening tour, but I could only click on Wednesday evening. So, reluctantly, I clicked on Wednesday night, but I couldn’t make a reservation and was instead offered Tuesday afternoon, which I accepted... but I really wanted to go in the evening.

Then, two days later, while I was taking a walk on the hotel beach, I saw whales... (crying)

よくよく聞くと、お昼頃はホエールはお昼寝中なので朝もしくは夕方ごろじゃないとあまり見えないそうです。

あと、予約時に火曜日の夕方のツアーに申し込みたいのに水曜日の夕方しかクリックできなかったので仕方なく水曜日の夜をクリックしたら予約できず火曜日のお昼をすすめられたので火曜日のお昼にしましたが…やっぱり夕方に見に行きたかったです。

Disappointing

We found this trip rather disappointing. It was supposed to last for an hour but we returned to the pier after 50 minutes. In the event we had probably seen all there was to see after 20 minutes. You see rather dull brown/grey coral, some small blue and yellow fish and some sea urchins - No wrays or sharks or anything unusual. In fact the guide started to describe the history of the buildings on the shoreline as we headed back. Not worth the money.
