It was a once in a lifetime experience. The manta rays came right up to us and almost brushed up on us. It was so beautiful as well as seeing all the glowing plankton and other fish. the staff on the boat were friendly and informative. at the end they gave us hot chocolate and soup to warm us up. definitely recommend this company.

The fee was over 100,000 yen per person, and I thought it was expensive, but I was relieved when Tosi, the Japanese-speaking pilot, welcomed us. I also took a helicopter ride over Iguazu Falls, which was 28,000 yen for 15 minutes, and this flight was two and a half hours. If we calculate simply, that would be 280,000 yen. In reality, we flew from the Waikoloa heliport to Hilo and had to refuel, which also incurs fuel costs. Above all, the pilot explained everything in Japanese and answered various questions clearly, and the view of the volcanic crater was impressive! The waterfalls in the canyon were also wonderful. I gained a good understanding of how the Big Island was formed, and it was definitely worth it. If you have the time, the course that takes you down to the waterfalls would also be great... 料金が一人10万円超え、高いと思いながらの参加でしたが、日本語のパイロットのリクエストがかなってTosiさんがお出迎え安心しました。
イグアスの滝遊覧でもヘリに乗りましたが15分で2万8000円、今回のフライトは2時間半、単純計算で10倍とすると28万円。実際ワイコロアのヘリポートからヒロまで飛んで給油、燃料代もかかっています。何よりパイロットが日本語で説明、いろいろな質問にも明快に応えてくださり、火山の火口も迫力満点！渓谷の滝も素晴らしかったです。ハワイ島の成り立ちが良く分かり、絶対損はしません。余裕があれば滝に降りるコースもいいのでは… 2023,8,22参加

My family and I (two kids 11 and 8 plus my spouse) had a blast on the Spirit of Aloha Kohala Coast Snorkel Tour with Lunch & Drinks - Hawaii Nautical / Snorkel Sail. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer! Our captain was entertaining, the crew knowledgeable, and the facilities were clean. Equipment was sufficient and the waters were clear and calm. I highly recommend!

I was worried about whether I would be able to see manta rays based on the reviews, but I did! They came surprisingly close, almost within reach of my hands and feet, so I had to be careful not to touch them at all. Since ocean accidents are scary, I chose a tour that provides explanations in Japanese. Fortunately, there wasn't much price difference for the manta tour, so I went with this one.

I had read in reviews that the boat ride from the port to the manta point was long, and that some people experienced seasickness or found the rocking of the boat difficult. However, since I have never had severe seasickness in the past, I thought that for those who enjoy being out in the sea breeze and taking in the ocean views (especially during sunset, which I think is a precious experience), a longer boat ride could actually be a lucky thing.

The Japanese tour guide was wonderfully attentive and a lovely person, and I really liked them as a person. The cocoa we had on the boat was also delicious.

What I wish I had brought were two bath towels—one for drying off and one to cover my legs—because while the water was a comfortable temperature in a wetsuit during the hot July weather, it was cold once we got back on the boat. I also recommend bringing a warm jacket or something to wrap around your neck and shoulders, as well as warmer clothes and underwear to change into after swimming, along with socks. It would be best to have a thermos to keep hot tea or something to drink on the way back.

Manta rays are adorable, and I recommend this tour for anyone who loves soothing sea creatures like dolphins. I would like to join this tour again next time.

口コミからマンタ見れるのか不安でしたが見れました。
しかも予想外に手や足で触れてしまいそうなくらい近くまで来てくれるので、こちらが一切触れないように体を気をつけないといけません。
海の事故はこわいので、日本語で説明してくださるツアーを選びました。幸いにマンタツアーで価格差はあまりなかったので、こちらにしました。
口コミでは港からマンタのいるポイントまでの乗船時間が長い、船酔いしたり揺れるのが辛い、というのも事前に見ていましたが、過去に酷い船酔いをしたことがなく、海風に当たりながら海の景色（ちょうどサンセットが観れる時間だと貴重な体験だと思います。あとイルカが私達の時は船と一緒に泳いでくれました。）を観るのが好きな人にはストレス発散効果もあり、船に乗る時間が長い方がラッキーではないか、と思いました。
添乗員の日本人の方は、気配りも素晴らしく素敵な人で、私は人として好きな方でしたし、船上でいただいたココアも美味しかったです。
持っていけばよかったと思うのは、7月の暑い時期ですが、海の中はウェットスーツを着てちょうどいい温度ですが、船に上がると寒かったので、バスタオルは拭く用と足に掛ける用の2枚、首や肩には暖かい上着や首に巻けるもの、ホテルに帰るまでに水着から着替える用の普段の服より温かい服装と下着、靴下です。
帰りにホットのお茶などを飲めるように保温水筒に入れておくとベストです。
マンタは可愛らしくて、イルカなどの海の癒し系の生き物が好きな方におすすめです。
次回参加する場合もこちらのツアーにしたいです。

Unfortunately, I couldn't see the dolphins, but I was able to meet a sea turtle while snorkeling. It was great to swim up close (you need to stay 3 meters away). I also received videos that were shared with me. Additionally, I was informed about other beaches where I could see sea turtles, and I was able to see them in person. Thank you very much.

イルカには残念ながら会えませんでしたが、シュノーケリングでウミガメに会えました。
間近で泳げて良かったです。(3mは離れる必要があります)
動画も撮って共有いただきました。

It was reassuring to have the Japanese guide Tamae with us. The day before, there were only two manta rays, but on our day, we counted six at the same time. You don't usually see this many even while diving. Tamae mentioned that it's rare to see so many manta rays. Our 10-year-old child was also able to participate comfortably. After disembarking, Tamae shared videos of our tour above and below the water via AirDrop. It was fantastic.

日本人ガイドtamaeさんが一緒で安心でした。前の日2枚だったマンタが我々の日は自分達で数えられたところでは同時に6枚。ダイビングでもこんなには見れません。前の日は2枚だったマンタ。tamaeさんもこんなにマンタ多い事は先ず無いとお話しされてました。10才の子供も安心して参加させて頂きました。下船後、tamaeさんが我々が参加していたツアーでの水上と水中の動画をエアードロップで供与してくれました。最高でした。

I participated on August 9, when there was an impact from the typhoon. Since I was staying in Waikoloa and there were strong winds with whitecaps, I thought this might be canceled as I headed to the port. However, the area around Keauhou Bay was very calm and sunny ☀️, and I was moved by the wonderful scenery and the blue of the ocean. It was a tour that even a couple like us, who are nearing retirement age, could enjoy very much. The staff were cheerful and kind, and we had a fun day. It was fascinating how the weather varied so much in different places on the Big Island.

参加したのは、台風の影響がある８月９日でした。ワイコロアに宿泊していたので強風で白波も立っていたので、これは中止かな？と思いながら港に向かいました。ところが、ケアウホウ湾の方はとても穏やかで快晴☀️、素晴らしい景色と海の青さに感動的しました。私たちのような還暦近くの夫婦でもとても楽しめるツアーでした。スタッフの皆さんが明るく親切で１日楽しかったですハワイ島は、場所によってずいぶんとお天気が違うので不思議でした。

- If you're in the front seat, the excitement during takeoff is even greater.
- The explanation of the mountains by the Japanese pilot Toshi (also known as Sushi) is easy to understand.
He also responds well to active questions.
- I’m glad I purchased the in-flight and flight path recording. The change in passengers' expressions during takeoff was a nice memory.
- I wish I had added the landing option near the waterfall.

I was anxious about whether I would actually see manta rays, but I was able to see many of them. They came close enough that it felt like I could touch them, and the experience was incredible. According to the instructor, there is about a 90% chance of encountering manta rays. There was also a Japanese-speaking instructor, which made me feel more at ease during the tour. I participated with my family, and it became a wonderful memory.

実際にマンタが見れるのか不安がありながら、参加しましたが、多くのマンタを見ることが出来ました。触れそうな距離まで近くに来ることもあり、迫力が凄かったです。
インストラクターの方によると、約90%近くの割合でマンタに遭遇できるだとか。
日本語インストラクターの方もいて、安心してツアーに参加できました。
家族で参加しましたが、とても良い思い出になりました。

Fun and sunny day on the gorgeous Captain Cook bay!

We got lucky and got a few mantas so the night was worth it!

There were not enough life jackets provided for the number of people on the tour, so I had no choice but to search for an emergency life jacket (which was covered in dust) under the chair and wear it. Other families also had their children wear the emergency jackets while the adults jumped into the sea without any life jackets. The waves were quite high, and I felt a real danger to my life.

I was able to see the manta rays properly, but due to the confusion with the life jackets, my viewing time ended up being about 15 minutes shorter than those who entered the water earlier, which was really disappointing.

ライフジャケットがツアーの人数分用意されておらず、仕方なく緊急用のライフジャケット（ホコリだらけ）を椅子の下から探して着用しました。他の家族も子供のみ緊急用を付け、大人はライフジャケットなしで海に飛び込む始末。波も相当高く、命の危険を感じました。
マンタ自体はちゃんと見れましたが、ライフジャケットのゴタゴタで、先に入水した参加者より鑑賞時間が15分程短くなってしまったのが、本当に残念です。

Initially, the manta rays did not appear on the scheduled day, but I was able to participate the next day and see them (it's quite rare not to see manta rays). I have been longing to join this tour for about six years, and since I had planned it for the early part of my stay, I was glad to have the opportunity to retry. It did take a fair amount of energy, though...

If anyone is going to the Big Island, I highly recommend this tour! It was disappointing not to see the manta rays on the first attempt, but I truly appreciate the staff for their generous support, including arranging the retry!

当初予定した参加日にはマンタが現れず、次の日に参加して見ることができました（マンタに会えないのはかなり珍しいとのことです）。
6年ぐらい前からこのツアーに参加したいと切望しており今回の滞在の最初の方に予定をしていたため、リトライができる結果となり、よかったと思っています。体力はそれなりに使いましたが・・・
ハワイ島に行かれる方がいたら、おすすめのツアーです！
1回でマンタが見れないのは残念でしたが、リトライの手配も含めてスタッフの方に手厚くサポートしていただいて本当に感謝です！

The price is a bit steep, but since I came all the way to Hawaii, I decided to participate without hesitation.

In the end, I think I spent my money wisely!

First of all, riding in a helicopter is something I rarely get to do, and the experience of the helicopter's sway was incredibly valuable.

I was able to fully enjoy views that I couldn't see from the ground, and I am very satisfied.

If I had one point to mention, it would be that if you're not good at English, it might be safer to request a Japanese-speaking driver, even if it incurs some additional fees.

We understood some of what was being said on the English tour, but the explanations about history and local information while actually seeing the sights made a big difference in how much we absorbed.

料金は少し値をはりますが、ハワイまできたのでそこは思い切って参加してみました。

結果いいお金の使い方をしたと思っています！

まずヘリに乗ることなんてなかなかない中でヘリの揺れなんかも大変貴重な体験でした。

景色も地上からは見れない景色を存分に楽しめることが出来て満足しています。

一点だけあるとすると、やはり英語が苦手であれば多少追加料金はかかりますが、日本人の運転手にお願いしたほうが無難だと思います。

我々は英語のツアーで多少は言ってることがわかるものの、やはり歴史やその土地の情報なども実際に見ながら説明してくれるので吸収力が違うと思います。

The shuttle driver spoke only English, but he was very kind. When we arrived at the harbor, there was a Japanese staff member (a woman), which made me feel at ease as I prepared. She also accompanied us on the activities, so I was a bit anxious about the night snorkeling, but I enjoyed it.

Most importantly, I was moved to see a manta ray up close, which I hadn't encountered the day before. It seems that this tour is the only one where you can see manta rays during night snorkeling, so I highly recommend it for anyone going to the Big Island. They provide wetsuits, so it's not cold at all.

送迎ドライバーは英語オンリーでしたがとても優しい方でした。
ハーバーに着くと日本人スタッフ（女性）がいて安心して準備ができました。その方がアクティビティーにも同行していたので、ナイトシュノーケリング少し不安でしたが楽しめました。
何より前日は現れなかったマンタに会えて、すごく近くで観られたことが感動でした。
ナイトシュノーケリングでマンタに会えるのはこちらのツアーだけらしいのでハワイ島行かれる方は是非参加することをおすすめします。
ウエットスーツ貸してもらえるのでぜんぜん寒くないです。

This was a great experience for my family I clouding kids as young as 8. Bryce, Joe, Diego, and Tamae were so kind to the guests and very knowledgeable about the manta rays. We got a bonus of seeing a dolphin on our way to the snorkel site as well as a beautiful sunset. Mahalo!

Arriving shortly before 6:30 p.m., we were greeted with welcoming smiles and thank-yous for choosing them.

During the 30-minute boat ride to the manta ray sighting, the crew offered us snacks and beverages. Captain ?Louie? showed us a beautiful sunset while waiting to "anchor" until another boat saw a manta ray (we liked it that he wanted to give us the best chance of seeing manta rays). I was feeling a little seasick by then. Once the boat stopped, the crew gave us helpful instructions.

As we jumped into the water, the staff provided help to any who needed guidance to the lighted raft. Not being the best swimmer, I was one who Tamae kindly guided.

Minutes after setup, we saw our first of 6-7 manta rays for the evening. The manta rays were amazing, even though they chose to stay close to the bottom of the ocean that evening!

During the experience, the raft kept bumping my head and shifting my mask (another in my party had the same experience, so the crew should try to avoid giving the corner spot of the raft to anyone), so I had to hold onto the raft rope with one hand and prevent the raft from bumping my head with the other. The combination of the boat ride and the raft bumping caused my motion sickness to literally erupt. Diego and Tamae compassionately led me toward the boat. Diego comforted me, saying not to worry, at least one person each trip became ill. Because I started feeling better, I was able to return to the raft for the last 10 minutes.

Climbing up the ladder into the boat wasn't the easiest thing to do, but both the captain and crew were there to help.

The ride back was breezy but not too cold with a towel wrapped around our shoulders. I'm also glad there was a small bucket for me to use with my motion sickness.

The entire crew was fantastic, helping us all to experience watching the manta rays! Tamae also offered free actual video footage of our adventure.

Before departure, I was informed that there was a 90% chance of encountering them and a 60% chance of getting close, but I was truly moved when I was able to get so close that it felt like I was about to bump into a manta ray.

出発前、出会える確率９０％、近くに来る確率６０％と案内されていましたが、なんとマンタにぶつかりそうなぐらい近くもできてくれて感動しました。

We loved this excursion! The Boat & staff were excellent! Snorkeling was amazing (tons of fish, turtle & an eel) & the boat with the slides & high dive were so fun for my kids!! This was our favorite hawaiin excursion!

Really good water conditions, we got to see a good amount of the rays and the experience was breathtaking!

The tour was wonderful , the crew engaging, helpful, humorous, and knowledgeable , the equipment was fine, thoughtful snacks/drinks provided, and of course then there were the rays.it was a dreamlike experience.

MUST DO-Our family comes to Hawaii every summer and this is by far the most magical experience we've ever had on an excursion!!! There were four manta rays swimming around us-truly awe inspiring! Our kids are 16, 14, and 10...ALL LOVED IT and said it was the highlight of our trip! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a wonderful time in the beautiful weather of Hawaii Island!
We first went offshore to find dolphins, but unfortunately, we couldn't see any. However, it felt great to speed along in the rubber boat!
The snorkeling was also beautiful. I think there might be more variety of fish in places like Kerama in Okinawa. The water clarity was about 25 meters!
After snorkeling for about an hour, we returned while getting explanations about the lava caves along the coastline.

最初にイルカを見つけに沖合に出ましたが、残念ながら会えませんでしたでもゴムボートでスピード出して進むのでとても気持ち良かったです！
シュノーケルも綺麗でした。沖縄のケラマとかの方が魚の種類は多いかな？透明度は25mくらいあったと思います！
小1時間シュノーケルした後に戻りながら海岸線の溶岩洞窟の説明などもしてくれました。

The weather was great, and I had a very fulfilling snorkeling experience. I've tried it in various places before, but having plenty of time to enjoy it at my own pace was really good.

天気にも恵まれ、とても充実したシュノーケリング体験ができました。今までいろんな場所で経験しましたが、たっぷりな時間で、ゆっくり自由に楽しめるのがGood でした

We went on the afternoon tour with 8 in our family ranging in age from 4 to 65. Most had no snorkeling experience. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The crew were so friendly and helpful! We were impressed with their safety precautions, including all of the crew being certified lifeguards and were watching out for everyone the entire time we were in the water. The water was pristine and we saw so many varieties of fish and even saw an eel. The coral was beautiful, too.

The captain exchanged information with other captains and took a detour to an area where we might see dolphins. Sure enough, dolphins came to play around the boat, and we saw them jump twice. Communication is important in everything, isn't it? We also had a great time snorkeling and got to see plenty of yellow fish.

There was a Japanese guide. A Japanese woman kindly assisted me over the phone. Unfortunately, if you can't see a manta, you can participate for free next time. In fact, I was able to try again for free.

On June 10th at 18:00, we saw the best sunset, but we only caught a glimpse of one manta passing by in the distance. My husband didn't see any at all.

On June 13th at 21:00, I was allowed to try again for free, and I had the best encounter with 4 to 5 mantas that spun around right in front of me multiple times. It truly felt like a manta experience. Since it’s nature... the impact and emotion were different from just seeing mantas pass by in Ishigaki Island.

Even though I don't understand English, I could feel the excitement of the crew. Since it was dark in the sea, I felt reassured participating just by understanding Japanese.

日本人のガイドさんがいます。電話も日本人の女性が親切に対応してくれました。
残念ながらマンタに会えない時は、次回の参加は無料にして頂けます。実際、無料で再度チャレンジできました。
6/10　18:00からは最高の夕日は見れましたが、遠くに通り過ぎた1枚しか見れませんでした。主人は、全く見れてません。
6/13　21:00に無料で再チャレンジさせてもらい、4～5枚のマンタが目の前で何度もクルクル回転してくれる最高の出会いを見れました。これぞマンタという感じでした。自然相手なので。。。。。石垣島での通り過ぎるマンタを見るのとは、迫力、感動が違いました。
英語が解らない私でも、乗組員のスタッフの興奮が伝わりました。
暗い海なので、日本語がわかるだけで安心して参加できました。
