We participated as a family of six and had a private tour. It was everyone's first time, but our guide Noni provided careful instruction and guidance in Japanese. For those who are not proficient in English, I recommend the Japanese guide.

The outward journey was quite challenging due to the headwind, but Noni regularly checked in on everyone's condition to decide whether to turn back, and we managed to reach the cave. The return trip was quick.

Considering everyone's stamina, we decided to do the snorkeling in the bay. We had a very enjoyable and fulfilling time. Noni took a lot of photos for us!

Although it was an early morning course, the sunlight became increasingly intense, so a rash guard (preferably with long sleeves) and a hat are essential. Wearing gloves might make paddling easier. Shoes that can get wet are recommended, but going barefoot is also fine.

You can bring valuables in a waterproof bag, but I think just a phone and a tip would suffice. You will receive one bottle of water, but if needed, you might want to bring an extra bottle.

I'm not very good at swimming, so I felt safer snorkeling in the bay. They also lent me a kickboard, which made snorkeling enjoyable. Noni mentioned that the waves are calmer in the morning in Hawaii, and since the tour ends by 10:30, you might feel a bit tired, but you can make good use of the afternoon, so I recommend the early morning course.

行きは向い風でなかなかハードで、ノニさんが、みんなの体調も考慮しながら、引き返すかどうか、都度確認してくれながら、なんとか洞窟まで辿り着きました。
帰りはあっという間でした。
みんなの体力的なものを考えてもらい、シュノーケリングは湾で行うことにしました。
とても楽しく充実した時間をすごせました。
ノニさんが写真をたくさん撮ってくれました！

早朝のコースでしたが、段々と日差しがキツくなるので、ラッシュガード（できれば下も）帽子は必須。軍手があったほうが漕ぎやすいかも。
靴は濡れてもいい靴で。裸足でも大丈夫です。
貴重品は防水バッグに入れて持っていけますが、携帯とチップくらいでいいと思います。
お水を１本もらえます。必要であれば自分でも１本くらい持って行ってもいいと思います。
私は泳ぎがあまり得意ではないので、湾でのシュノーケリングの方が安心でした。ビート板も貸してもらえたので、シュノーケリングも楽しくできました。
ハワイの海は早朝の方が波が穏やかだとノニさんが言ってましたし、10時半には終了するので、少し疲れていますが、午後からの時間も有効に使えるので、早朝コースがおすすめです。

Fewer Japanese participants joined the tour, and since it was an English tour, I was disappointed that I couldn't understand the explanations during the bus ride. We took a 45-minute break at the Onizuka Visitor Center to acclimatize to the altitude, but there was no place to change, so I changed in the restroom. I wore Heattech top and bottom, jeans, and a fleece, with a light down parka on top. At the summit, I was lent ski pants and a warm jacket, so I was well-prepared for the cold. My hands were only cold from holding the camera.

The meal consisted of sandwiches distributed at the Visitor Center, which were very delicious, but there were no drinks provided. Since it was drizzling, I didn't feel like sitting at the outdoor tables and chairs, so I stood and ate in a corner of the center. During the stargazing, I enjoyed warm cocoa.

I was very satisfied with both the sunset and the starry sky, but I'm wondering how to receive the photo data taken during sunset and stargazing. There has been no email contact since the next day. I called but reached voicemail and left a message...

食事は、ビジターセンターで配られるサンドイッチでとても美味しかったのですが、ここでは飲み物無し。小雨模様だったので、外のテーブル＆椅子に座る気になれず、センターの隅っこで立って食べました。星空観察の時には温かいココアを頂きました。
サンセットも星空も大満足だつたのですか、日没時と星空鑑賞の際に撮って下さった写真データをどう受け取るのか？翌日以降、メール連絡もありません。電話しても留守電で、メッセージは残したのですが…

Initially, the manta rays did not appear on the scheduled day, but I was able to participate the next day and see them (it's quite rare not to see manta rays). I have been longing to join this tour for about six years, and since I had planned it for the early part of my stay, I was glad to have the opportunity to retry. It did take a fair amount of energy, though...

If anyone is going to the Big Island, I highly recommend this tour! It was disappointing not to see the manta rays on the first attempt, but I truly appreciate the staff for their generous support, including arranging the retry!

The sunset and stargazing were both amazing. Especially the stargazing, as the moon wasn't out, allowing us to see the Milky Way clearly. The only complaint I have is that the van we used for transportation was full and quite cramped. The travel time was long, and the roads were bad, so I hope this can be improved. (The driver was also lamenting about it...)

I had a really fun time, sometimes trotting and sometimes slowly herding cattle in the magnificent scenery.

It seems that horses have various personalities; there were horses that could walk almost automatically for children, while adults had to give proper instructions, and larger horses for well-built foreigners. There were a total of 10 participants, and they selected horses that suited each person, explaining, "This horse is..." when it was time to ride.

The explanations were in English, but they spoke slowly for the Japanese participants, so it was relatively easy to understand (the difference in speaking speed for native speakers was quite noticeable, haha). However, if it's your first time riding, it might be tough if you can't understand and speak English well.

雄大な景色の中、時に駈歩したり、牛を追ったり(ゆっくり)、すごく楽しい時間を過ごせました。
馬は、色々性格があるらしく、子供にはほぼ自動運転で歩ける子、ちゃんと指示出さないといけない子には大人、体格のいい外国の方には大きな子…と合計10名の参加でしたが、それぞれに合わせた馬を選択してくれ、乗る時に「この子は…」説明してくれました。
英語での説明でしたが、日本人にはゆっくり喋ってくれていたので比較的わかりやすかったです(ネイティブの方に対するトークスピードの差が凄かった笑)。
ただ…初めての乗馬だと、ちゃんと英語を理解して喋れないとキツいかもしれません。

I have visited the Big Island of Hawaii many times, but this time I participated because my child turned 16. I was impressed by the beauty of the stars, the vastness of the sky, and its size. They took family photos for us, and since we were the only Japanese people there, they spoke to us not only in English but also in Japanese. During the star explanation, they divided us into English and Japanese groups with the same tour company (we ended up having a private experience), which made it very easy to understand, humorous, and enjoyable. I'm glad I participated.

Note: It’s colder than I expected.

何度もハワイ島に来ていますが、子どもが16歳になったため参加をしました。
星のきれいさ、空の広さ、大きさに感動しました。

Su-san's guidance and thoughtfulness were wonderful. The photos we received were truly impressive! What a great photographer! They were very beautiful.

This was our second time as a couple, and our first time bringing our son.

Since the moon rose before 10:00 PM, it didn't affect our experience at all, and we were able to see the Milky Way clearly. It became a great memory for our family.

The BLT was delicious too.

The price is a bit steep, but since I came all the way to Hawaii, I decided to participate without hesitation.

In the end, I think I spent my money wisely!

First of all, riding in a helicopter is something I rarely get to do, and the experience of the helicopter's sway was incredibly valuable.

I was able to fully enjoy views that I couldn't see from the ground, and I am very satisfied.

If I had one point to mention, it would be that if you're not good at English, it might be safer to request a Japanese-speaking driver, even if it incurs some additional fees.

We understood some of what was being said on the English tour, but the explanations about history and local information while actually seeing the sights made a big difference in how much we absorbed.

料金は少し値をはりますが、ハワイまできたのでそこは思い切って参加してみました。

結果いいお金の使い方をしたと思っています！

まずヘリに乗ることなんてなかなかない中でヘリの揺れなんかも大変貴重な体験でした。

景色も地上からは見れない景色を存分に楽しめることが出来て満足しています。

一点だけあるとすると、やはり英語が苦手であれば多少追加料金はかかりますが、日本人の運転手にお願いしたほうが無難だと思います。

我々は英語のツアーで多少は言ってることがわかるものの、やはり歴史やその土地の情報なども実際に見ながら説明してくれるので吸収力が違うと思います。

The shuttle driver spoke only English, but he was very kind. When we arrived at the harbor, there was a Japanese staff member (a woman), which made me feel at ease as I prepared. She also accompanied us on the activities, so I was a bit anxious about the night snorkeling, but I enjoyed it.

Most importantly, I was moved to see a manta ray up close, which I hadn't encountered the day before. It seems that this tour is the only one where you can see manta rays during night snorkeling, so I highly recommend it for anyone going to the Big Island. They provide wetsuits, so it's not cold at all.

送迎ドライバーは英語オンリーでしたがとても優しい方でした。
ハーバーに着くと日本人スタッフ（女性）がいて安心して準備ができました。その方がアクティビティーにも同行していたので、ナイトシュノーケリング少し不安でしたが楽しめました。

I participated with my child during spring break.

The road to Waipi'o Valley, known as Waipi'o Valley Road, is closed indefinitely due to safety measures against falling rocks. Since only locals can access the valley floor, we joined a tour♪

The view from the lookout point is breathtaking, but after seeing the wonderful scenery at the starting point, the road becomes terrifyingly narrow and winding. The vehicle is large, and the road is just barely wide enough. As we slowly made our way down, wild horses approached us, and they seemed very accustomed to people and cars, with everyone touching them and taking photos.

The river also flows swiftly as we drive, but I wonder how people live down in such a valley. It seems about 50 people live in the canyon, and we passed by them several times. They lead a self-sufficient life, growing taro and fishing—it's like a different world!

We were the only Japanese participants in the tour, and since it was an English guide, we could hardly understand the stories about the history, legends, and plants related to Waipi'o Valley, so we mostly just enjoyed the scenery^^; Everyone else was laughing and engaging with the guide, which was a bit disappointing for us.

展望台からの景色は絶景なのですがスタート地点の素晴らしい景色を見たあとはもう絶望的に怖い道。車は大きいしギリギリの狭さ。くねくね道。
ゆっくり下まで降りていくと野生の馬がワラワラと寄ってきて
とても人や車に慣れてる感じでみんな触ったり写真を撮ってました。

川も車でぐんぐん進んできますが
こんな谷底でどうやって生活してくのか。
渓谷には約50人が暮らしているらしく何回かすれ違いました。
タロイモ栽培や漁師とか自給自足の生活で別世界！

ツアー参加者で日本人は私たちだけだったのと英語ガイドなので
ワイピオ渓谷にまつわる歴史や伝説、植物についてのお話などはほぼ
理解できず景色を見るだけ^^;
ガイドさんの話に盛り上がってみんな笑ったりしていたので
そこはちょっと残念でした。

This was a great experience for my family I clouding kids as young as 8. Bryce, Joe, Diego, and Tamae were so kind to the guests and very knowledgeable about the manta rays. We got a bonus of seeing a dolphin on our way to the snorkel site as well as a beautiful sunset. Mahalo!

If you're looking for an experience where you are cared for, entertained, and learn more about this island, look no further. It was a day full of sight-seeing, history, and stimulation. This company has put time into thinking of everything from bathroom breaks, food, and health/safety. As one of the oldest tour companies on the island, there's perks they get that others do not.

Completely worth every penny to make the memories of this day!

I liked how you start small for those who a less experienced and afraid of heights. Our guides were awesome in explaining everything and giving history of the area. The funniest part was when Angela hid behind some bushes and started making pig sounds, causing one of the participants to jump back! LOL! The guides really did a great job making it fun and relaxing my nerves.

I was able to fulfill my dream of seeing the sunset and starry sky from Mauna Kea volcano. The explanations about the observatory and celestial bodies were very detailed, and I was able to take many photos. The sandwiches and cocoa provided along the way were very delicious and left a strong impression!

Arriving shortly before 6:30 p.m., we were greeted with welcoming smiles and thank-yous for choosing them.

During the 30-minute boat ride to the manta ray sighting, the crew offered us snacks and beverages. Captain ?Louie? showed us a beautiful sunset while waiting to "anchor" until another boat saw a manta ray (we liked it that he wanted to give us the best chance of seeing manta rays). I was feeling a little seasick by then. Once the boat stopped, the crew gave us helpful instructions.

As we jumped into the water, the staff provided help to any who needed guidance to the lighted raft. Not being the best swimmer, I was one who Tamae kindly guided.

Minutes after setup, we saw our first of 6-7 manta rays for the evening. The manta rays were amazing, even though they chose to stay close to the bottom of the ocean that evening!

During the experience, the raft kept bumping my head and shifting my mask (another in my party had the same experience, so the crew should try to avoid giving the corner spot of the raft to anyone), so I had to hold onto the raft rope with one hand and prevent the raft from bumping my head with the other. The combination of the boat ride and the raft bumping caused my motion sickness to literally erupt. Diego and Tamae compassionately led me toward the boat. Diego comforted me, saying not to worry, at least one person each trip became ill. Because I started feeling better, I was able to return to the raft for the last 10 minutes.

Climbing up the ladder into the boat wasn't the easiest thing to do, but both the captain and crew were there to help.

The ride back was breezy but not too cold with a towel wrapped around our shoulders. I'm also glad there was a small bucket for me to use with my motion sickness.

The entire crew was fantastic, helping us all to experience watching the manta rays! Tamae also offered free actual video footage of our adventure.

The snack during the break was freshly cut pineapple, which was perfect for recharging my energy on the way back. This time, I was tandem with my wife, but I think I can go solo next time.
