I had signed up to participate on May 12, but my friend who was accompanying me canceled at the last minute due to health issues. My husband and two sisters participated, and they said it was great because dolphins came very close to them both on the way to and from the snorkeling point. They also mentioned that the boat was large and comfortable, but it was a problem that all the explanations were in English, so you need to understand at least some English. We had a great time on this excursion. The ride on the raft to the snorkeling sites was exhilarating and relaxing as we took in the beauty of the Kona landscape. We chose this excursion because we were able to snorkel at two different bays ( including Captain Cook's monument). The only disappointment was not seeing more different types of fishes (saw about 5-7 different types per area) and more fishes overall. Our captain and shipmate took good care of our group of 9. The Captain gave us a history of the many caves and cliffs that we visited. They also provided us with fresh fruit, soda, chips, and cookies during the rides. Bonus was seeing a couple of dolphins and mountain goats. A fun afternoon snorkeling made this trip memorable.

Other than my spouse and I, everyone was American, and it was a bit difficult to understand the conversation, which was disappointing. I decided to participate, looking forward to ocean rafting more than snorkeling. After arriving on the Big Island, I had the hotel’s travel desk call to confirm my participation and get detailed meeting location information. On the day of the tour, I drove to Honokohau Marina, which was easier to find than I expected, and I arrived without getting lost. Once all the participants gathered, it was time to board. Before that, the captain asked me, "Where are you from? Do you speak English?" I replied, "A little." The entire tour was in English, and it seemed like the captain and staff were not particularly inclined to communicate more than necessary with participants who were not native English speakers. By the way, the introduction mentioned that "the captain would provide a written translation of the spot descriptions in Japanese before boarding, so you can enjoy the activities without a language barrier!" However, nothing was provided, and the tour started. As we set off, the boat gradually picked up speed, and the bouncing over the waves became more pronounced. I was excited to see how fast we would go. There was a rope stretched across the floor to prevent anyone from falling through, and I sat on the edge of the boat, holding onto the rope, feeling the wind, sunlight, and the blue sea directly—it was incredibly liberating! I wanted to keep going like this forever! But my backside was hurting! (laughs) A note for women: the shorts worn over a bikini sit right under your backside when you sit on the edge of the boat, and with each bounce, the back of your thighs rub against it. I recommend wearing knee-length pants. Also, they advised us to remove hats and towels to prevent them from flying away, so be sure to apply sunscreen thoroughly. At the snorkeling point, snacks, juice, and sandwiches were provided, and you could relax and eat on the boat or quickly eat and float in the sea. The coastal cliffs were breathtakingly spectacular. There might be a stronger sense of being out of place due to the few Japanese participants, but those who don’t mind can enjoy themselves thoroughly.

My husband, who loves roller coasters but can't swim at all, was worried about whether he could really enjoy the speed of the Zodiac without being thrown around, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary concern.

We were the only Japanese people in a group of nine, which included four other couples and families. The Zodiac goes really fast, so we bounced around on the boat, but there was no worry about falling into the sea, and it was a lot of fun.

After about a 15-minute ride from the marina, we encountered a pod of dolphins, and then after another 15 minutes, we were incredibly lucky to see a family of whales.

After that, we went snorkeling, which was my husband's first time snorkeling despite not being a good swimmer. I was more worried, but he seemed to really enjoy it and said he wanted to go snorkeling again. When we returned to the boat, we had snacks and delicious turkey sandwiches, making it a very enjoyable and satisfying tour.

私の方が心配でしたが、本人もとても楽しめたみたいで、またシュノーケルしたいと言っていました。
ボートに戻るとスナックや美味しいターキーサンドイッチを頂き、とても楽しくて満足なツアーでした。

I participated in an optional tour for my honeymoon. The guide and most of the participants were foreigners, and all explanations were in English. There was a Japanese version of the initial instructions. I think it's a good idea to use the restroom before boarding the boat (there is one on the boat, but I was worried about the lock). I wore my swimsuit under my clothes from the start. It might be better not to bring too many valuables... I might have had some, but I couldn't find them. You can leave your belongings on the boat!

From the meeting point to the boat, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Captain Cook Monument. On the boat, they serve fruits, hamburgers, snacks, and drinks, all you can eat and drink at your leisure! I guess breakfast and lunch are combined? You will get full. When we arrive at the snorkeling spot, there is a brief explanation, and then everyone can freely dive into the sea (directly from the boat). You can borrow a full set of snorkeling gear and a float, and there was also something like a bodyboard for kids to see underwater. If it gets cold, you can return to the boat to drink warm coffee, sunbathe on the boat, take a little break, and then dive again... 集合場所から船に乗り、キャプテンクック記念碑まで30分程度です。
船の中でフルーツ、ハンバーガー、お菓子、飲み物が出て、全て好きな時間に食べ飲み放題！朝食と昼食が一緒なのかな？お腹いっぱいになります。
シュノーケルスポットに着くと、少し説明があってそれぞれ自由に海に潜れます。(船から直接)
シュノーケル道具一式と浮輪も借りれるし、子供には海の中が見えるようになってるボディボードみたいな物もありました。
かなり深いのでもちろん足は届きませんが、とにかく綺麗です！サンゴも魚もたくさんいてとても感動しました。
寒くなったら船に戻って暖かいコーヒーを飲んだり、船の上で日向ぼっこしたり少し休憩してまた潜ったり…スポットに滞在するのは1時間半くらいなのでかなりゆっくりできます( ˘ω˘ )
船には飛込み台と滑り台があるので全然飽きませんでした。私は潜ってるだけでも飽きませんでしたが笑
ガイドの方達はとても気さくな方達ばかりで、片言英語でもたくさん話す事が出来ました！

行って体験しないと分からない感動です。
ハワイでシュノーケルするなら絶対このツアーがいいと思います！また絶対参加したいツアーです(^^)

With both of us excited for our first ocean rafting and snorkeling experience, the Captain Zodiac set off into the waves with the four of us, including an American couple. Captain Andy was easygoing and very approachable, making it hard to believe we had just met, as he shared various stories and jokes with us. Unfortunately, the sea was rough, and it felt like we could be thrown overboard if we didn't hold on tightly, but my wife seemed to be enjoying the thrill. Along the way, we encountered a pod of dolphins, and since we were beginners, we were excitedly searching for dolphins from the boat, while the American couple, being more experienced, swam happily around the dolphins. After that, we reached a calm bay where we could go snorkeling. Looking at the seabed, we saw various fish swimming gracefully, and it truly felt like we had come to the Big Island of Hawaii! Captain Andy provided sandwiches and fruit, and the meal enjoyed on the water was very delicious. As we headed back while looking at the shore from the boat, we spotted a whale in the distance, and everyone let out excited cheers. There were four adults participating (my husband and I, along with my niece and her husband). The weather on the day was very nice, not as hot as I had expected, making it a wonderful day for rafting. We were the only Japanese participants, but the woman at the tour company's office was very kind and accommodating. I needed prescription goggles for the water, but I forgot to request them when I made the reservation. However, I called the day before, and they managed to have them ready for me.

The snorkeling was a bit different from what I had imagined. I was expecting a clearer sea, but it was murkier than I thought. Perhaps it was due to the location? They provided the necessary goggles for snorkeling, but they were old, and I experienced some water leakage, which meant I had to clear the water several times, so I ended up getting out early. If I had brought my own perfect-fitting gear, I might have enjoyed it more. The lunch was delicious! Eating burgers and fruit on the water was exceptional.

I have relied on VELTRA's tours several times, so I felt comfortable trusting them. Next time, I would like to participate in a different tour.

おとな４人（私たち夫婦と姪夫婦）の参加でした。当日はとても天気が良く思っていたほど暑くもなく素晴らしいラフティング日和でした。日本人の参加者は私たち４人だけでしたがツアー催行会社の事務所の女性がとても親切に対応してくれました。水中眼鏡の度が入ったものが必要だったのですが予約の時に頼み忘れてしまっていたのですが、前日電話でお願いし何とか間に合わせていただきました。
シュノーケルのほうは私が思っていたのとはちょっと違っていました。というのももっときれいな海を想像していたのですが思ってより濁っていたのです。場所のせいでしょうか？それからシュノーケルに必要なメガネなどは貸していただけるのですが古いせいでしょうか水漏れがして何度も水を抜く必要があったので私は早めに上がってしまいました。自分にぴったりのものを持っていけばもっと楽しめたのかも・・。ランチはおいしかったですよ！
バーガーもフルーツも海の上で食べるのは格別でした。
VELTRAさんのツアーには何度かお世話になっているので安心して頼むことができました。
次回は他のツアーに参加したいと思っています。

We participated as a couple. It took about 30 minutes by rental car from our accommodation in Waikoloa. You won't miss the big marlin sign along Highway 19 at the Honokohau Marina where the office is located.

We arrived at the office at 8:45, and our departure was at 9:15. After checking in, all participants signed a document outlining the disclaimers. Our boat had a total of 13 people on board, consisting of two American families on vacation from the mainland and a solo male traveler besides us. There were three staff members, including the captain.

The boat we boarded was a sturdy rubber boat. Holding onto the rope with one hand and placing one foot under the rope at the bottom, we experienced quite a jolt as we traveled for about 40 minutes to Kealakekua Bay. My hands started to hurt, so the captain stopped the boat at various points to share stories and explanations about the Big Island, mixed with jokes, but it was all in English, which might be a bit challenging for those who aren't proficient. However, I don't think it would be too problematic. The topics included the island's volcanoes, elevation, climate zones, and the legend of Pele, so there weren't any groundbreaking discoveries.

行きにくじらを数頭見ることができました。多くの船が近付いていくので、それを目印に目を凝らせば見つかります。
ケアラケウア・ベイはキャプテン・クックが上陸した記念碑もあります。海から陸地に上がることはできませんが、真っ青な海と切り立った崖は本当にきれいです。
この湾には大量の淡水が湧き出ていて、岸壁に近づくと水が冷たく、視界がぼやけますが、それだけ栄養分が多く、色とりどりの魚がたくさんいます。
水深は深く、足が届くところはありませんが、ボートにはライフジャケットやチューブを貸してくれます。
1時間くらい泳いで、各々好きな時にボートに戻って、サンドイッチ、ドリンク、スナック、フルーツを食べます。
そしてまた海に戻って泳ぐといった具合です。
帰りには、溶岩洞窟にいくつか止まります。この日は波が高かったので洞窟の中まで入りませんでしたが、波が穏やかな日は入れるそうです。
そして、沖に出たら何と200頭くらいのいるかの大群に遭遇しました！ずーっと追いかけてくる子どものイルカ、スピンするイルカ、20分くらい一緒にマリーナへ向かい、この島の大自然を堪能することができました。

When driving, the store and parking lot are located far apart, so it's necessary to check the store's location on the map before parking. I think it's better for those coming by rental car to allow extra time. I initially made a mistake and went to the wrong meeting place. I ended up at a building with a blue roof that has a marlin monument, but it was a different shop. It's actually a place with many tour companies further back.

There were ten participants in total, including us: four families and two couples.

We were greeted by dolphins right at the start. I was so thrilled!

When I first got on the Zodiac rubber boat, it bounced around a bit and was a little scary, but I gradually started to enjoy the speed and the bouncing. I brought a hat to prevent sunburn, but I couldn't keep it on!

To describe the experience, we sat on the edge of the rubber boat with the engine running, holding onto a rope. The boat took us out to sea at quite a speed, rocking a lot. It was exhilarating. I heard that some people have even fallen off into the sea before.

After that, the captain searched for whales, but unfortunately, we didn't find any that day. However, we did encounter a school of tuna, which was another thrill!

Next, we arrived at the snorkeling point. We jumped into the deep blue sea, far from land. The water was so clear that I could see down to my feet, but beyond that, it turned a deep navy blue. I wondered how deep it was. The water felt so soothing, and when I relaxed, my body floated effortlessly. It was an incredible feeling of liberation.

Snorkeling around the Captain Cook monument was also amazing. It felt like being thrown into a tropical fish tank. There were huge sea urchins everywhere. I wonder if they taste good? (laughs) I also saw turtles swimming, which was another delight!

The captain's English was a bit hard to understand. It wasn't a problem, though. I thought it would be fun to react like a native speaker if I understood everything, but I don't even do that in Japanese!

At the end, we encountered another pod of dolphins. They seemed so free. I was very satisfied. Snorkeling among the coral reefs while watching colorful fish was great too. The sandwiches for lunch were delicious. There were also services for fruits, snacks, and juice, which made it very relaxing.

I brought my iPhone with a waterproof cover, but I took so many photos underwater that I ran out of battery when we were sightseeing over the ocean. Even when dolphins jumped right in front of me and we were in front of amazing lava caves, I couldn't capture those moments…

As mentioned in other reviews, my lack of English skills made it hard to understand the explanations, and I couldn't communicate much with other foreign guests, which was disappointing. However, the captain and the other staff were very kind.

I highly recommend this tour. I really enjoyed the extraordinary experience. Thank you very much. I would love to participate again!

参加者は、私たちの他、家族連れ４人、カップル２組、計１０名でした。

最初にいきなりイルカのお出迎え。チョーー感激ー！！

ゴムボートのゾディアック号に最初乗った時は、ポンポン飛んでちょっと怖かったですがだんだんスピードがどんなに出ても飛び跳ねても気持ち良く感じるようになりました。日焼け防止のために帽子持って行きましたが、かぶっていられませんでした！

イメージを説明しますと、エンジンの着いたゴムボードのふちに腰掛け、つかまるところはロープのみ。ボートはそんな不安定な私達を乗せて沖にけっこうなスピードでかなり揺れながら進みます。迫力満点です。今まで海に振り落とされた方もいらしたそうです。

その後船長さんが、沖でクジラを探してくれましたが、残念ながらこの日は見つかりませんでした。ただ、マグロの群れに遭遇出来て、またまたちょっと感激～！

その後、スノーケルポイントに到着。 陸地から遠く離れ海のど真ん中でただただ碧い海に飛び込みました。足もとまでくっきり透き通って見えるのにその先は濃紺、いったいどれほどの深さなのでしょう。とろりと感じるぐらいの水、脱力すると簡単に体は浮きます。ものすごい解放感。

キャプテンクック記念碑の周りでのスノーケリングもすばらしかった。まるで熱帯魚の水槽の中に放り込まれたようでした。巨大なウニがたくさんいました。食べたらおいしいのかな？？笑。
カメさんも泳いでました。またまた感激です！

キャプテンの英語はちょと理解できませんね~。それで困ることはありません。理解できてネイティブ並みに反応できたら楽しいかとも思いますが（もともと日本語でもそういう乗り突っ込みはしないですからね）

最後にまたイルカの群れに会えました。自由を感じるイルカたちでした。大満足でしたね。
シュノーケルも珊瑚礁の中、色とりどりの魚を見ながら、良かったです。お昼のサンドイッチも美味しかったです。
フルーツや、スナック、ジュースのサービスもあり、とてもくつろげました。

ＩＰＨＯＮＥに防水カバーつけて持って行きましたが枚数が足りないほど海中をパシャパシャ撮りまくってしまったので、シュノーケルの後に、海の上からハワイ島観光をしてくれた時にはせっかく目の前でイルカがクルクルジャンプしても、すばらしい溶岩洞窟を目の前にしてもバッテリー切れで写真に収めることはできませんでした…

他の書き込みにもあるとおり、英語力がなく説明がよくわからなかったのと、他の外国人の方とコミュニケーションがあまり取れないのが残念でした。でもキャプテンも他のスタッフの方もとても親切です。
ほんとにおすすめのツアーですね。
非日常を楽しめました。

We spotted dolphins just five minutes after departing! What a wonderful start. I watched brave foreigners diving into the sea while enjoying snorkeling with my son. The inside of the boat was very clean! The restroom was cleaner than those in nearby hotels! Moreover, I was impressed to see the staff constantly moving and working diligently. Good job! On the way back, we encountered whales, making it an even more enjoyable memory.

I used this service during my first trip to the Big Island with friends. The meeting place was a bit hard to find, so make sure to look closely at the signs. Also, all the staff and crew spoke only English, so be aware of that. It might have just been coincidence, but all the other customers around us were Americans, and we were the only Asians. For me, it felt more like being abroad compared to Oahu, which is mostly filled with Asians (mainly Japanese), and it was fantastic.

Now, about the activity. The rafting goes at quite a high speed. However, no water comes into the boat, so just make sure to hold onto the ropes tightly to avoid falling off. It felt like we went for over 30 minutes, and the time felt long. But when we encountered a pod of dolphins along the way, it was truly moving. They were so close! And the blue of the ocean upon arrival was breathtaking. It was the perfect shade of blue that you think of when you hear "Blue Hawaii"! The water was so clear, filled with many fish. We were allowed to snorkel freely with no time limit, as long as we had the energy.

The lunch afterward was quite simple, but the pineapple was incredibly delicious. Just when I thought we would return by rafting, we changed locations and snorkeled again. Then we sped back for over 30 minutes. On the way back, we caught a glimpse of a mother whale and her calf. It made me deeply feel that there is still so much nature left on this planet. It was my first time snorkeling in such a deep-looking sea. I definitely want to participate again.

My husband and I love Hawaii, and we usually spend our time shopping in Honolulu, but this time we decided to experience the natural beauty of Hawaii for the first time by visiting the Big Island.

I wanted to feel the ocean of the Big Island up close, so I joined this ocean rafting tour, and it was the right choice. I realized that the blue of the ocean in the Big Island is completely different when viewed from land compared to when seen from a boat. In shallow areas, the water is a transparent blue, in slightly deeper areas it turns emerald green, and where the currents collide, it turns ultramarine. Sitting on the edge of the boat and moving through the water, I was directly immersed in those beautiful shades of blue.

But the fun didn't stop there. On the water, we saw baby manta rays feeding, dolphins swimming in pods, and surprisingly, we even encountered a jumping whale! It was a series of emotional moments.

Under the sea, we encountered colorful fish while snorkeling. I felt like I never wanted to come up for air; I could have watched them forever.

Finally, the captain was cheerful and spoke in a way that we could understand, even though we didn't know English well. He was so skilled at peeling pineapples that I wanted to learn from him!

The only downside was that there was no shower after getting off the boat. We were told to change in the restroom. We were covered in salt, and the hotel was far away. Although our bodies dried off on the way back from snorkeling, having a shower would have made it a five-star experience!

楽しみはこれだけではありません。
海の上では、赤ちゃんマンタが餌を食べていたり、イルカが、群をなして泳いでいたり、そしてまさかの‼︎ クジラがジャンプしたのにも 出会えました。 感動の連続です。
海の中では、色とりどりの魚とシュノーケリングで、出会えました。ホント海の中に入れた顔を上げたくなくなる感じ、ずーっと見ていたと思わせてくれました。
最後にキャプテンは、明るくて、英語がわからない私達に伝わるように、話かけてくれました。デザートのパイナップルの剥き方は、教えてもらいたい程、上手でしたよ。
ゴメンなさいは、ただ一つ 船から上がった後に シャワーがない事です。 着替えは トイレでして下さいとのこと。潮まみれで、ホテルまで遠いし、 シュノーケリングから帰ってくる間に、身体は乾いていますがシャワーがあれば星5つですね‼︎

On October 12th, I went on an adventure aboard the Captain Zodiac. The weather was incredibly nice, hot, and the sun was strong, but as a result, the sea and sky were beautifully clear and blue. Aside from us, there were two couples of foreign tourists, and everyone was friendly, creating a cheerful atmosphere from the moment we set off.

First, we headed out to sea at an amazing speed that made me feel like we might be blown away. Suddenly, we stopped in the middle of the deep blue sea, and the captain said, "Everyone, feel free to jump into the water," as he lowered the ladder. Everyone joyfully jumped into the sea. My husband dove in headfirst. I was a bit taken aback and stayed on the boat. Soon everyone returned, but when the captain asked, "Is there anyone who has any regrets?" one man pointed at me and joked, "She hasn't gone into the water!" I laughed and said, "Oh, I'm a little scared!" and everyone laughed along with me.

After that, we went snorkeling at the Captain Cook monument. The water was very clear, and we were able to see so many fish. Right nearby, there were many wild dolphins swimming, coming close to the boat, suddenly jumping, and swimming at incredible speeds; they were so cute. On the boat, we enjoyed sandwiches, fruits, and snacks while chatting happily, and we had a wonderful time. I thoroughly enjoyed the waters of Hawaii.

We participated in the morning tour as a couple. Three days before the tour, I made a reconfirmation call from the front desk of our hotel (King Kamehameha), but we struggled to communicate (neither of us speaks much English), so we had to ask a hotel staff member to assist us.

On the day of the tour, we took a taxi to the meeting point, which cost about $30 (including tip). After checking in, we received some instructions from the tour guide in front of the boat, but since there was no roof, it was very hot, and I was worried about getting sunburned.

It took about an hour to reach the snorkeling spot. During that time, we could help ourselves to breakfast items like muffins, croissants, and fruits. After that, the tour staff came around to lend us fins, so we communicated our shoe sizes (in US sizes).

When we arrived at the Captain Cook Monument, there was a brief explanation before we started snorkeling. I brought anti-fog solution for my snorkeling mask from Japan, but there was some available on the boat as well.

The water was more transparent than I had imagined, and I was thrilled. There were various fish, and we swam while holding hands. Before participating, I was concerned about the depth of the ocean, but perhaps because we were wearing flotation devices, I didn't feel scared even when we went deeper.

After about an hour of swimming, we had lunch when we heard a signal of "ding ding ding." I think we were able to snorkel for almost another hour after lunch. The return boat was quite rocky, so I was glad I took motion sickness medication.

シュノーケリングスポットまでは約一時間。その間、マフィンやクロワッサン・フルーツなどの朝食がセルフで食べられます。そのあとフィンの貸し出しのためツアーの人たちがまわってきてくれますので、自分の足のサイズ（アメリカサイズ）を伝えます。
キャプテンクック記念碑の前につくと、また少し説明があった後シュノーケリングスタートです。日本からシュノーケリングマスクの曇り止め液をもっていきましたが、船内にもありました。
海の中は、想像以上に透明で感激しました。いろんな魚がいて、二人で手をつなぎながら泳ぎました。参加する前は海の深さが気になっていましたが、浮き具をつけていたためか、深めの方へ行っても怖さは感じませんでした。
一時間ほど泳ぐと「カンカンカン」という合図とともに昼食の時間になります。
食後も一時間弱はシュノーケリングできたと思います。
帰りの船は結構揺れたので、酔い止めを飲んでおいて良かったです。
私たちは１階の席にしたので、行きは日差しを気にする必要がなく風も気持ちよかったのですが、帰りは体が濡れているため寒かったです。船内の女子トイレは鍵が壊れていたけどキレイです。
帰りがけに野生のイルカの群れに遭遇し、しばらく船をとめてみせてくれました。イルカのジャンプもみれました。
また参加したいです。

My husband, mom and I went on the Fair Wind Kealakekua Bay Snorkeling Sail. We had a great time the staff was awesome. The boat was very clean and beautiful. My mom is 75 and didn't snorkel but the crew was very nice and made sure she had everything she needed. When we return to Kona we will take this cruise again. The crew was very knowledgeable and made sure we knew everything we were seeing. The families with kids looked like they were having a great time especially on the high dive and slides. The area we went to was beautiful. We saw a shark hiding in the reef and many beautiful fish and coral. The food was great.

We participated as a couple. Neither of us is good at English, but we thought we could manage with snorkeling and enjoying the scenery, so we decided to join. When we arrived at the office for check-in on the day of the tour, they provided us with a Japanese explanation sheet detailing the day's precautions and points of interest, which was very helpful. Additionally, there was a Japanese family of three with us, which made us feel a bit more at ease. The tour included nine people in total (five Japanese and four Americans), along with two American women, the captain, and a crew member.

We were excited about the thrilling rafting and the chance to encounter dolphins. The captain sped us out to sea, which was thrilling and fun, but unfortunately, we didn't see a single dolphin that day, which was very disappointing.

The snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay was fantastic; the water was clear, and we could see beautiful corals and various fish. For those who are not confident swimmers, they provide floatation devices, which I think is reassuring.

It was great to see the Captain Cook monument, which can only be accessed by trekking from land, while snorkeling. When we got a bit tired of snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay, they provided light snacks, sandwiches, and drinks, followed by a fruit service with pineapple and oranges, allowing us to refuel before snorkeling again. I think we stayed anchored for quite a long time.

After that, we got close to the cave cliffs (where they also offered a bit of snorkeling service) and visited a spot that resembles the sleeping form of the fire goddess Pele. The five-hour tour flew by in no time.

On the return boat ride, they also provided snacks and drinks, which was nice. One thing to note is that the boat does not have a restroom, and there is no roof, so you will be directly exposed to the sun. The sunlight can be intense, so be careful of sunburn (especially on your ears, lips, and the backs of your thighs) and make sure to apply sunscreen frequently, as you can get burned in just a few hours.

スリル満点のラフティングとイルカ遭遇に期待しました、キャプテンが沖の方にスピードをかけて走ってくれたのは、スリルあり面白かった、でも、この日は運悪く一匹のイルカにも会うことが出来ず凄く残念でした。
ケアラケクア湾でのシュノーケルは、水も綺麗でサンゴや色々な魚も見ることが出来凄く良かったです。泳ぎに自信のない方には、浮き棒を貸してくれますので安心だと思います。

ケアラケリア湾でのシュノーケルに飽きた頃に軽食のサンドイッチとドリンクの提供もあり、その後、パイナップルとオレンジのフルーツサービスもありちょっと腹ごしらえをして又シュノーケルも出来、結構長い時間停泊してくれていたと思います。

注意するのは、ボートはトイレがないのとボートには屋根がないので直に日差しが当たります、日差しがきついので日焼けには(耳や唇・太ももの裏等)注意してこまめに日焼け止めを塗らないと数時間でしっかり焼けます。

I am a complete beginner at snorkeling, but I was really immersed in it. I was amazed by the clarity of the water and the number of fish. There were a few moments of anxiety, but it was such a wonderful experience that it made up for everything.

I participated with my child. My child seemed a bit anxious and was looking around, wondering if there were any Japanese people, but there were quite a few Chinese people, and we were the only two Japanese. Everything was in English, so I couldn't understand anything and just followed the movements of those around me. Well, once you're in the water, there are no problems at all (*^-^*).

One little issue was that I made the reservation on my smartphone while traveling, but I had to bring a printed reservation instead of just showing the smartphone screen. I managed to get it printed at the hotel front desk, thanks to a kind front desk staff member who understood a little Japanese.

Also, regarding the snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay, please make sure not to confuse the meeting point, which is at Keauhou Bay.

ちよっと困ったのは、旅行に出てからスマホで予約したのですが、スマホ画面ではなく、予約票を印刷して持って行かなければなりませんでした。ホテルのフロントでなんとかプリントして貰う事ができましたが、少し日本語が通じる親切なフロントマンのおかげです。
あと、ケアラケクア湾シュノーケルですが、集合はケアウホウ湾なので、つい間違わないようにして下さい。

The clarity of the ocean was outstanding, and there were plenty of fish, which made it very enjoyable. Since it was a plan without transportation, I thought the directions to the parking lot and from the parking lot to the boat were a bit unclear, but it was manageable.

The explanations were in English, but they provided written instructions in Japanese regarding snorkeling precautions, so that was also manageable. The meeting point before the boat departs only has one restroom, so there might be a bit of a wait, but there is a restroom on the boat as well, so it's fine.

Once on the boat, you need to secure your preferred seating early if you want to enjoy your meal comfortably, so be cautious about that. In the morning, the muffins were delicious, and the lunch burgers were tasty too.

送迎無しのプランでしたので、駐車場の場所と、駐車場から船までの場所の案内が、少しわかりづらかったかなとも思いましたが、まあ、何とかなります。
説明は英語のみですが、シュノーケリングの注意事項等は、日本語で書いた説明文を見せてくれますので、これも、何とかなります。
船が出るまでの待ち合わせ場所になっている所には、トイレが１つあるだけですので、ちょっと並んだりもしますが、船にもトイレはありますから、大丈夫。
船に乗ったら、自分たちの座りたい席は、早めにキープしないと、ゆっくり座って食事が出来なくなりますので、注意が必要です。
朝は、マフィンが美味しかった。ランチのハンバーガーも美味しかったです。
シュノーケリングの時のベストや浮き輪は、「自分のレベルに合わせて、好きな物を使って下さいね」という程度の説明。以前、オアフで利用したツアーは、ライフベスト必ず着用でしたので、泳ぎにくくて辛かったので、これは私達にはありがたいなと思いました。
シュノーケリングに慣れている人ならば、ベストは必要無いと思いました。フィンを付けていれば、身体は浮くので。
到着して１時間程度のフリータイム。ランチをはさんでもう１時間程度、たっぷりシュノーケリングが楽しめて、良かったです。
帰る前の船に上がるタイミングで真水のシャワーを浴びる事が出来ましたが、そのタイミングを逃すと、戻っても近くにシャワーの設備等がありませんので、そのままホテルまで戻るしかありません。
それでも、透明度の高い海で泳ぎたい方には、本当におすすめできます。

I participated with my first grader, and the large boat provided stability, complete with restrooms, fruit service, and hamburger service, so my child ended up sleeping on the way back. They had fins and goggles available in child sizes, and although we brought our own, I felt we didn't really need them.

We saw dolphins swimming alongside the boat, and the snorkeling was at a different location from the dolphin point. However, it was a relaxed experience, unlike the frantic rush to see dolphins, allowing my child to play comfortably. They provided floats for kids, making it enjoyable even for those who can't dive.

If you're in the mood, you can dive into the sea from the second floor or slide down the slide (which ends at the first floor, giving a feeling of falling for the rest), and we stayed at the points until the afternoon, really enjoying a leisurely time.

Actually, I previously participated in a dolphin swimming tour on a small boat, and we were quite frantic moving from point to point to achieve our goal, which left me exhausted and seasick. フィンもゴーグルも子供サイズが揃っており、自前で持っていきましたが「要らなかったな」という感想です。
イルカは船と並走してるのを見て、シュノーケルはイルカポイントとは別の場所でした。だけど、必死でイルカに会うために移動を続けるのとは違って、気持ちに余裕も あって、子供も安心して遊んでました。
子供用にフロートを出してくれたり、潜れない人でも充分楽しめます。
気分が乗れば、二階から海にダイブしたり、滑り台(一階までで切れてて、残りは落ちる感がありますが)でダイブしたり、昼過ぎまでポイントにいて、本当にゆっくり楽しめました。

実は以前、小型ボートでイルカと泳ごうツアーに参加したんですが、目的達成のために結構必死でポイントを移動したのでぐったり疲れてしまったのと、酔ってしまった思い出があって、今回は敢えて違うタイプに参加したのですが、所要時間の長さとお昼つき、ドリンクもほぼ自由でお値段もたいして変わらないので、かなりのお薦めとなりました。

潜る前の説明は思い切り英語ですが、何となく重要な事は伝わります。。楽しんでください！

I wanted to go snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay, and I was drawn to this tour because of its packed itinerary. My husband, our two daughters (in 6th and 4th grade), and I participated as a family of four. We brought our own snorkeling gear from Japan. The kids were nervous about their first rafting boat ride, so they put on their life jackets before boarding and chose seats at the back where the rocking was relatively mild. However, as soon as we set sail, we encountered dolphins, and we were thrilled to see a pod of seven or eight swimming around the boat. When the staff invited us to move to the front, we eagerly did so. The staff supported our daughters from behind as they squealed with joy at the bouncing of the boat and the splashes of water. Once they got used to it, the boat made turns and created G-forces, making it feel like an amusement park ride! We even encountered a rare mother and baby whale during the summer. They came so close that we could almost touch them, which was moving.

The long-awaited Kealakekua Bay had high transparency, and we were able to swim to our heart's content among the coral and tropical fish. The kids were very happy to take off their life jackets and dive into the water during the middle of the snorkeling time (something that wouldn’t be allowed on tours in Japan), and they borrowed noodles (floating sticks) to play with, looking very satisfied. After snorkeling, while we were leisurely cruising in the bay, we encountered a pod of dozens of dolphins.
