I can hardly speak English, but I decided to join the tour anyway! It was an afternoon tour.

Keauhou Bay felt like a hidden gem and had a bit of a mystical vibe. The water was very clear, and there were plenty of fish, but I felt that the quantity and variety were not much different from Kahalu'u Beach Park. For those who are used to snorkeling, it might feel a bit lacking.

The staff were friendly and kind. Even though I didn't understand the language, I was able to enjoy myself and it became a wonderful memory.

Below, I will outline the flow of the day. For those who also struggle with English, I hope this helps!

First, upon arriving on the Big Island, I had to make a reconfirmation call, which was the biggest hurdle. You can find detailed information about reconfirmation on the VELTRA website.

Since I didn’t have a rental car that day, I walked from the Sheraton Hotel to the meeting point. It took about 5 minutes on foot.

When I handed over the voucher at the reception, there was a quick explanation in English. Looking back, I think they mentioned that the snorkeling masks would be provided before boarding, and the fins would be handed out on the boat.

There was only one other group of Japanese people besides us, which was reassuring.

We had to wait quite a while until the morning tour's boat returned and the preparations were finished. It was hot outside.

After that, the rental of snorkeling masks began. At some point, they gathered people for the SNUBA activity and had them sign a consent form, but I wasn't sure if those were people who had pre-registered or if they were recruiting on the spot. Once the English explanation before boarding was done, we got on the boat.

The view from the second floor of the boat was great, but it seemed tough in the sunny spots. The ride took over 30 minutes.

Along the way, we encountered 4 to 5 dolphins! The people in the front seats seemed to see them well, but since we were in the middle of the second floor, we only caught a glimpse of their fins.

Near the counter on the first floor, there were snacks like water, tropical juice, and a mix of rice crackers and pretzels available for us to take freely. There were also restrooms.

The staff came around to distribute the fins. We had our own, so we didn’t borrow any, but the staff kindly asked us, “Do you have fins?” to check on us.

When we arrived at the snorkeling spot, we could also borrow floaties and other flotation devices, so those who are unsure about swimming can feel safe. The depth was completely beyond our feet.

In addition to snorkeling, we could enjoy diving from the boat and using a slide. I think we had about an hour of free time.

During the return trip, there was a fruit service as a signal to head back to the boat.

I didn’t see anyone giving tips, so I wasn’t sure when to give one. Those who were experienced might have discreetly tipped without others noticing.

That’s all.

I think you can have a great time even if you don’t understand English, as long as you can keep yourself safe! For those who are going soon, enjoy your trip!

ケアウホウ湾は秘境の地という感じがしてちょっと神秘的でした☆
水の透明度が高く魚もたくさんいましたが、カハルウビーチパークと量も種類もそんなに変わりなかったように感じます。慣れてる人だと物足りないかも？

まずハワイ島に到着したらリコンファームという到着確認の電話をしなければならず、これが一番ハードル高かったです。
リコンファームについてはVELTRAさんのサイトに詳しく書いてあります。

当日はレンタカーではなかったのでシェラトンホテルから集合場所まで歩きました。
徒歩5分です。

受付でバウチャーを渡すと英語でさらさらっと説明がありました。
後から考えるとシュノーケルマスクは乗船前、フィンは船で渡しますと言っていたと思います。

日本人は私達以外に1組だけいらっしゃったので心強かったです。

午前のツアーの船が戻って来て船内の準備が終わるまでけっこう待ちました。外なので暑いです。

その後シュノーケルマスクの貸出が始まりました。
途中でスヌーバをやる人を集めて同意書を書かせたりしていたようですが、あらかじめ申し込んでいた人なのかその場で募ったのかなわかりませんでした。
英語による乗船前の説明が済んだら乗り込みです。

船は二階だと見晴らしがいいですが日が当たる場所はキツそうでした。乗船時間は30分以上はあります。

途中でイルカ4～5頭に会いました！前の席の方たちはしっかり見れていたようですが、二階の真ん中の席だった私達は背びれが見れたくらいです。

１階のカウンター付近に水とトロピカルジュース、おかきやプレッツェルが混ざったスナックが置いてあり自由に取りに行く感じでした。トイレもあります。

フィンはスタッフの方が配りに来てくれます。
私達は自分のがあったので借りませんでしたが、スタッフさんが代わる代わる｢フィンはある？｣と気遣ってくれました。


スポットに着いたら浮き輪や体に巻く浮き具も借りられますので泳ぎが不安な方も安心です。足は全くつかない深さです。

シュノーケル以外にも、船からのダイブや滑り台で楽しむことができます。
自由時間は1時間くらいだったと思います。

終了の合図で船に戻り帰路についている間、フルーツのサービスがありました。


チップは渡している人を見かけなかったためタイミングがわからず渡していません。
慣れている方々は他の人にわからないようにスマートに渡していたのかもしれません。

This is my fourth time on board. At some point, it has become a promise between my husband and me that "when we come to the Big Island, we will participate in the Fair Wind activities." As always, I'm excited to visit the beautiful bay and scenery. Actually, I tend to get seasick, so I usually struggle with boats. However, the Fair Wind catamaran has minimal rocking, which allows someone like me to feel safe while on board. I've been on it four times and have enjoyed myself without getting seasick even once. Watching the fish is fun, but sliding down the slide attached to the boat while shouting "Yay!" and "Wow!" truly brings me back to my childhood and is the best time ever. It's also nice that lunch is prepared at just the right time. The crew members are all friendly and amazing. I definitely want to go again next time.

４回目の乗船。いつの頃からか「ハワイ島に来たら、フェアウィンド号のアクティビティーに参加する。」というのは、私達夫婦の御約束事みたいになってしまいました。風景と美しい湾に行くのは、いつもの事ながらわくわくします。実は、私は船酔いするため船は、苦手中の苦手なのです。しかし、双胴船のフェアウィンドは揺れが少ないことから、こんな私でも安心して乗船できます。４回乗船しましたが、１度も船酔いすることなく楽しむことができました。お魚を見るのも楽しいですが、船についている滑り台を「きゃー」とか「わー」とか叫びながら滑り落ちるのは、まさに童心に戻って最高の時間です。調度よい時間に昼食が準備されるのも良いですよね。
クルーのスタッフは、みんなフレンドリーで最高です。また次回も是非行きたいと思っています。

My two teenagers (from LA) who don't like to show enthusiasm about anything had a great time on this activity. I loved seeing the Spinner Dolphins. We felt very safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend the Fair Wind.

We participated as a family of five. I was worried about my youngest child (7 years old), but they had no problems and enjoyed it completely. It was great to see sharks and dolphins. The only downside was that there was no restroom on the boat, so be careful not to drink too much! On the way back, I was almost about to leak (laughs).

My first time on the Big Island of Hawaii! My wife and I participated in an ocean rafting tour that included snorkeling and exploring lava cliffs. Since we departed at 10 AM, we took our time in the morning to stroll around the hotel area before driving to the harbor where we gathered with other participants. We set off a bit earlier than scheduled!

During the ocean rafting to the snorkeling point, we stopped at various spots along the way where they provided explanations, allowing us to enjoy taking photos and sightseeing. We also saw a lot of wild dolphins! I didn't expect to see so many.

At the snorkeling point, the water clarity was outstanding, and since it was in a bay, there were no waves, making it the perfect snorkeling spot. There were plenty of fish, it felt like an aquarium. The sandwiches for lunch were delicious too.

However, the sun in Kona is incredibly strong. Even though I applied sunscreen, I got a severe sunburn on my back because I was so focused on snorkeling! Be careful!

The return rafting offered a breathtaking view of the lava cliffs that can only be seen from the sea. Everyone on the tour was from overseas and they were all really nice people. Thank you!

10時出発なので、朝ゆっくりホテル周辺を散歩などして、レンタカーで集合場所のハーバーへ。他の参加者の方もみんな到着して少し早めに出発！
シュノーケルポイントまでのオーシャンラフティングでは、途中様々なスポットに止まってくれて説明してくれるので、写真撮影や観光を楽しめました。
そして野生のイルカもたくさん！こんなに居るとは思いませんでした。
シュノーケルポイントでは水の透明度が抜群で、湾の中にあるため波もなく、最高のシュノーケルスポットでした。魚の数も多く、まるで水族館。ランチのサンドイッチもおいしかったです。
ただコナの日射しがものすごく強くて。。日焼け止めしていたのですが、シュノーケルに夢中で背中がひどく日焼けしました！要注意です！
帰りのラフティングも、溶岩の岸壁で海からしか見られない貴重な景色で迫力満点。
一緒のツアーの方は皆海外の方でいい人ばかりでした。

I participated with a friend!

Since we rented a car, we met at the location. There were several tours and meeting points, and although we searched a bit, the roads were wide, so we had no problems and quickly found the place by asking the locals!
We gathered at 10 AM, so after enjoying a leisurely breakfast, we were able to act without any rush, which made for a wonderful time! I was thrilled to unexpectedly spot a sea turtle at the pier!
We boarded a boat with about 10 people and moved to Captain Cook's location, but we spotted a whale along the way, and we stopped several times for everyone to take photos! I appreciated that consideration!
Once we arrived at the snorkeling point, we snorkeled for about an hour and a half, and enjoyed sandwiches for lunch on the boat! The sea was beautiful, with so many gorgeous fish! It felt just like being in an aquarium! Occasionally, we heard a squeaking sound... it was dolphins!
The foreign participants in the same tour were all very nice, and we had fun conversations. It seems there are many tourists from various places!
An hour and a half went by in no time! On the way back, we stopped at a breathtaking canyon point, allowing us to enjoy not just snorkeling but other delights as well!
Just be aware that you will get sunburned, so sunscreen is definitely necessary... I got incredibly burned, which turned into quite a situation, but it's also a great memory!
When we returned to the port, we discovered another sea turtle!! Seeing it twice was amazing!!

We arrived at the port at 3 PM, so we were able to shop and sightsee in the northern part of the Big Island. Honokohau Marina is in a great location, which was another charm!

I had an experience that is hard to come by in Japan! I was healed by seeing various fish in the beautiful sea, and since we only spent a little over an hour in the water, I didn't feel tired at all. It was just the right amount of time, and if I have the chance to go to the Big Island again, I would definitely like to participate again!

そのお気遣いも嬉しかったです！
シュノーケルポイント到着してからは約1時間半、シュノーケルしたり、ランチのサンドウィッチ頂きボートで食べたり！海が綺麗で、綺麗な魚がたーくさん！それはまるで水族館にいる様でした！
時折聞こえるキーキーという音が、、イルカでした♡
同じツアーに参加されていた外国人の方々も良い方ばかりで、楽しく会話したりいろんな場所から来られていて観光客が多いようですね！
1時間半は本当にあっという間！でしたが、帰り道でも絶景の渓谷ポイントに止まって下さりと、シュノーケルだけでなく、他の楽しみを味わせて頂きました！
ただ日焼けをしますので、必ず日焼け止めは必要です…とんでもなく焼けてしまい大変なことになってますが、これもまた良い思い出です！！
港に戻り、またまたウミガメを発見！！
２度も見れて最高でした！！

港には3時着でしたので、ハワイ島の北のほうへ買い物したり観光でき、ホノコハウマリーナは良い場所にありましたのでそれもまた魅力でした！！

なかなか日本では味わえない経験をさせて頂きました！綺麗な海でいろんな、魚達を見ることで癒されましたし、1時間少し海に浸かるだけですので全く疲れませんし、丁度良い時間で、またハワイ島に行く時があれば是非参加させて頂きたくおもいます！

I took a taxi to the location, and as we approached the port, I looked around for the blue roof as a landmark, which made it easy to spot the various tour companies lined up. Of course, I arrived without being late for the meeting time. The check-in was all in English, but there was also a Japanese instruction manual, and after signing in, I finally boarded the boat. Since it was my first time rafting, I felt like I might be overwhelmed by the speed of the boat and the wind, but it was refreshing, and the sea and sky were truly blue and amazing! Along the way, we encountered some dolphins and whales, and we arrived at the destination, Kealakekua Bay, where snorkeling time began. This was my first time using a waterproof case for my smartphone, and I took pictures underwater myself... it was so much fun! I was completely absorbed in it!

The pineapple and oranges that the captain prepared were incredibly delicious. By the time lunch was over, we spotted some dolphins swimming a little further out in the bay, so we slowly approached them by boat, and about ten dolphins were playing around us. It was my first time seeing wild dolphins up close like this. After enjoying snorkeling time once more, we headed back along the coastline, where we could see impressive views that you can't appreciate from land. The only downside was that I couldn't understand English. It would have been even better if I could have understood the captain's explanations... That said, I still had a great time despite not understanding everything. Also, when taking a taxi, the driver made a reservation for the return trip, but I think it's good to allow a little extra time when deciding on the pickup time. We ended up making the driver wait for 30 minutes, so we had to give an extra tip.

現地までは、タクシーで行き車が港に近づくと青い屋根が目印ということだったので見つけるべくキョロキョロしましたが、いろいろなツアーの会社が並んでいてすぐにわかりました。もちろん集合時間に遅れることなく到着しました。受付ではすべて英語でしたが、日本語の説明書もありサインをしていよいよボートに乗り込みました。ラフティングが初めてだったのでボートの速さと風に負けそうでしたが、何より爽快だし海も空も本当に青く最高でした！途中アヒや鯨の仲間に遭遇しながら目的のケアラケクア湾に到着しシュノーケルタイムが始まりました。今回スマホの水中ケース初使用で海の中を自分でとりました…楽しいです！夢中になります！
キャプテンがカットして用意してくれたパインとオレンジが、めちゃくちゃおいしかった。ランチタイムが終わる頃、湾の中の少し遠くでイルカが泳いでいたのでボートで少しずつ近づいて行くと周りを１０頭くらいのイルカたちが遊んでいます。こんなに近くで野生にイルカを見たのも初めてです。もう1度シュノーケルタイムを楽しんだ後、帰りは海岸線に沿ってボートは進みますが、陸の上からでは眺めることの出来ない迫力ある景色をみることができました。残念なことは私が英語を理解できないこと。もしキャプテンの説明が理解できていたらもっと良かったでしょう…とはいえわからないなりにも十分楽しめました。それとタクシーで行く場合、運転手が帰りの迎えの予約もしてくれましたが、少し時間を余裕をみて時間を決めると良いと思います。私達は30分待たせたのでチップを余計に払うことになりました。

It was my first tour, and I was very satisfied. In my opinion, there were some unexpected things, so I will write down some points to note and things that were good below.

Points to note: The meeting place at the marina is very easy to find, but it can be busy with cars, so please allow extra time for travel. The captain and staff speak English, but even if you don't speak English, they provide a Japanese instruction manual, so you don't need to worry. The boat goes fast and bounces a lot, so please prepare bags that can be closed to prevent your belongings from flying away, and make sure to have hats, glasses, and sunglasses that won't be blown away by the wind. There are restrooms on the boat, but you won't stop along the way, so please use the facilities at the port. The boat sways a lot, so I recommend having breakfast early. Please keep the promises not to stand on the reef and not to climb on the Captain Cook monument. There are no showers at the port, so I cannot recommend it for those who want to shower immediately after the tour.

Good points: If you're lucky, you can swim with a pod of 20 to 30 dolphins all of a sudden. It's very moving. Even if you're not used to snorkeling or can't dive, the dolphins won't wait for you, but they will come back or another pod will arrive, so just don't rush. It's very touching to see the dolphins swimming up close. At the Captain Cook diving point, you can see the clear, beautiful sea, the reef, and many fish. Please take your time and enjoy while taking breaks.

Along the way, sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and drinks are provided. You can enjoy the scenery and lunch. On the way back to the port, you can see the coastal strata, encounter many pods of dolphins, and see dolphins jumping and playing, as well as sea turtles, making the enjoyment endless.

注意点：マリーナの待ち合わせ場所はとてもわかりやすいですが、車の多い時間帯ですので時間に余裕を持って移動下さい。船長やスタッフの話は英語ですが英語が出来なくても日本語の注意書きの説明書をくれるので気にしなくても大丈夫です。ボートのスピードが速くよく跳ねるので荷物が飛んで行かないように口を締めることできる袋、帽子、メガネ、サングラスも風で飛ばないものを準備下さい。お手洗いは船内にも、途中で立寄ることもないので港で済ませてください。船がとても揺れるので朝食は早めに済ませておくことをすすめます。リーフでは立たない事、キャプテン・クックの碑には上がらないこと等の約束を守ってください。港にシャワーはないので終わってすぐシャワーを浴びたい人にはおススメできません。

良かった点：運がよければいきなり２０～３０頭のイルカの群れと泳げます。とても感動します。シュノーケルに慣れなくても潜れなくてもイルカ達は待ってくれませんがまた戻ってくるか、違う群れが来ますのでとにかく焦らないことです。間近に見るイルカの泳ぐ姿にとても感動します。キャプテン・クックのダイビングポイントでは澄んだ美しい海が広がりリーフと多くの魚たちを見ることができます。休憩を挟みながらじっくり時間を使い楽しんでください。
途中、サンドイッチとフルーツ、スナック、飲み物が出ます。景色とランチを楽しめます。
港に戻る途中海岸の地層を見たりイルカの群れに多く遭遇したりジャンプして遊ぶイルカやウミガメも見れ楽しみは尽きることはありませんでした。

I had signed up to participate on May 12, but my friend who was accompanying me canceled at the last minute due to health issues. My husband and two sisters participated, and they said it was great because dolphins came very close to them both on the way to and from the snorkeling point. They also mentioned that the boat was large and comfortable, but it was a problem that all the explanations were in English, so you need to understand at least some English. It seems there were no other Japanese participants.

５月１２日に参加申し込みをしていましたが、私と同行したお友達は体調不良のため直前キャンセルをしました。
主人と妹二人で参加しましたが、シュノーケルポイントまでの行きも帰りも、すぐ近くまでイルカが来てくれてとても良かったとのことです。

We had a great time on this excursion. The ride on the raft to the snorkeling sites was exhilarating and relaxing as we took in the beauty of the Kona landscape. We chose this excursion because we were able to snorkel at two different bays ( including Captain Cook's monument). The only disappointment was not seeing more different types of fishes (saw about 5-7 different types per area) and more fishes overall. Our captain and shipmate took good care of our group of 9. The Captain gave us a history of the many caves and cliffs that we visited. They also provided us with fresh fruit, soda, chips, and cookies during the rides. Bonus was seeing a couple of dolphins and mountain goats. A fun afternoon snorkeling made this trip memorable.

On the day of the tour, I drove to Honokohau Marina, which was easier to find than I expected, and I arrived without getting lost. Once all the participants gathered, it was time to board. Before that, the captain asked me, "Where are you from? Do you speak English?" I replied, "A little." The entire tour was in English, and it seemed like the captain and staff were not particularly inclined to communicate more than necessary with participants who were not native English speakers. By the way, the introduction mentioned that "the captain would provide a written translation of the spot descriptions in Japanese before boarding, so you can enjoy the activities without a language barrier!" My husband, who loves roller coasters but can't swim at all, was worried about whether he could really enjoy the speed of the Zodiac without being thrown around, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary concern.

We were the only Japanese people in a group of nine, which included four other couples and families. The Zodiac goes really fast, so we bounced around on the boat, but there was no worry about falling into the sea, and it was a lot of fun.

After about a 15-minute ride from the marina, we encountered a pod of dolphins, and then after another 15 minutes, we were incredibly lucky to see a family of whales.

After that, we went snorkeling, which was my husband's first time snorkeling despite not being a good swimmer. I was more worried, but he seemed to really enjoy it and said he wanted to go snorkeling again. When we returned to the boat, we had snacks and delicious turkey sandwiches, making it a very enjoyable and satisfying tour.

I participated in an optional tour for my honeymoon. The guide and most of the participants were foreigners, and all explanations were in English. There was a Japanese version of the initial instructions. I think it's a good idea to use the restroom before boarding the boat (there is one on the boat, but I was worried about the lock). I wore my swimsuit under my clothes from the start. It might be better not to bring too many valuables... I might have had some, but I couldn't find them. You can leave your belongings on the boat!

From the meeting point to the boat, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Captain Cook Monument. On the boat, they serve fruits, hamburgers, snacks, and drinks, all you can eat and drink at your leisure! I guess breakfast and lunch are combined? You will get full. When we arrive at the snorkeling spot, there is a brief explanation, and then everyone can freely dive into the sea (directly from the boat). シュノーケルスポットに着くと、少し説明があってそれぞれ自由に海に潜れます。(船から直接)
シュノーケル道具一式と浮輪も借りれるし、子供には海の中が見えるようになってるボディボードみたいな物もありました。
かなり深いのでもちろん足は届きませんが、とにかく綺麗です！サンゴも魚もたくさんいてとても感動しました。
寒くなったら船に戻って暖かいコーヒーを飲んだり、船の上で日向ぼっこしたり少し休憩してまた潜ったり…スポットに滞在するのは1時間半くらいなのでかなりゆっくりできます( ˘ω˘ )
船には飛込み台と滑り台があるので全然飽きませんでした。私は潜ってるだけでも飽きませんでしたが笑
ガイドの方達はとても気さくな方達ばかりで、片言英語でもたくさん話す事が出来ました！

行って体験しないと分からない感動です。

Unfortunately, the sea was rough, and it felt like we could be thrown overboard if we didn't hold on tightly, but my wife seemed to be enjoying the thrill. Along the way, we encountered a pod of dolphins, and since we were beginners, we were excitedly searching for dolphins from the boat, while the American couple, being more experienced, swam happily around the dolphins. After that, we reached a calm bay where we could go snorkeling. Looking at the seabed, we saw various fish swimming gracefully, and it truly felt like we had come to the Big Island of Hawaii! There were four adults participating (my husband and I, along with my niece and her husband). The weather on the day was very nice, not as hot as I had expected, making it a wonderful day for rafting. We were the only Japanese participants, but the woman at the tour company's office was very kind and accommodating. I needed prescription goggles for the water, but I forgot to request them when I made the reservation. However, I called the day before, and they managed to have them ready for me.

The snorkeling was a bit different from what I had imagined. I was expecting a clearer sea, but it was murkier than I thought. Perhaps it was due to the location? They provided the necessary goggles for snorkeling, but they were old, and I experienced some water leakage, which meant I had to clear the water several times, so I ended up getting out early. If I had brought my own perfect-fitting gear, I might have enjoyed it more. The lunch was delicious! Eating burgers and fruit on the water was exceptional.

I have relied on VELTRA's tours several times, so I felt comfortable trusting them. Next time, I would like to participate in a different tour.

シュノーケルのほうは私が思っていたのとはちょっと違っていました。というのももっときれいな海を想像していたのですが思ってより濁っていたのです。場所のせいでしょうか？それからシュノーケルに必要なメガネなどは貸していただけるのですが古いせいでしょうか水漏れがして何度も水を抜く必要があったので私は早めに上がってしまいました。自分にぴったりのものを持っていけばもっと楽しめたのかも・・。ランチはおいしかったですよ！
バーガーもフルーツも海の上で食べるのは格別でした。
VELTRAさんのツアーには何度かお世話になっているので安心して頼むことができました。

We participated as a couple. It took about 30 minutes by rental car from our accommodation in Waikoloa. You won't miss the big marlin sign along Highway 19 at the Honokohau Marina where the office is located.

We arrived at the office at 8:45, and our departure was at 9:15. After checking in, all participants signed a document outlining the disclaimers. Our boat had a total of 13 people on board, consisting of two American families on vacation from the mainland and a solo male traveler besides us. There were three staff members, including the captain.

The boat we boarded was a sturdy rubber boat. Holding onto the rope with one hand and placing one foot under the rope at the bottom, we experienced quite a jolt as we traveled for about 40 minutes to Kealakekua Bay. My hands started to hurt, so the captain stopped the boat at various points to share stories and explanations about the Big Island, mixed with jokes, but it was all in English, which might be a bit challenging for those who aren't proficient. When driving, the store and parking lot are located far apart, so it's necessary to check the store's location on the map before parking. I think it's better for those coming by rental car to allow extra time. The reception started at 1 PM, but we arrived early and waited for our departure time while having lunch at a table in front of the store.

Since we were departing in the afternoon, I thought the wind and waves might be stronger in December, so I took motion sickness medication. 午後出発なので12月だと風や波が強くなるのかと思って、酔い止めを飲みました。船で移動する時間が45分くらいかかり多少揺れましたが、大きな船なのでそれほどひどくなかったと思います。帰りは濡れているので寒くなりますから、タオルだけでなく、上着があった方がよいと思います。
行きは飲み物（水、ジュース）とおかき、飲み物とポテトチップと果物がセルフサービスで出ます。トイレは男女別て広くてきれいです。
シュノーケル用具はすべて貸してくれるし、安全上の注意やシュノーケル用具の使い方も英語ですが説明もしてくれます。私はほぼ英語ができませんが、なんとかなりました。シュノーケル場所は水が冷たかったですが、波もなく、魚もたくさんいて最高でした。
偶然ですが、帰りにイルカやクジラを見ることができて、さらに思い出深いものになりました。今度は午前中に参加してみたいと思いました。

ハワイ島　オーシャンラフティング＆シュノーケルリングツアー ＜英語ガイド／食事付き＞

I initially made a mistake and went to the wrong meeting place. I ended up at a building with a blue roof that has a marlin monument, but it was a different shop. It's actually a place with many tour companies further back.

There were ten participants in total, including us: four families and two couples.

We were greeted by dolphins right at the start. I was so thrilled!

When I first got on the Zodiac rubber boat, it bounced around a bit and was a little scary, but I gradually started to enjoy the speed and the bouncing. I brought a hat to prevent sunburn, but I couldn't keep it on!

To describe the experience, we sat on the edge of the rubber boat with the engine running, holding onto a rope. The boat took us out to sea at quite a speed, rocking a lot. It was exhilarating. I heard that some people have even fallen off into the sea before.

After that, the captain searched for whales, but unfortunately, we didn't find any that day. However, we did encounter a school of tuna, which was another thrill!

Next, we arrived at the snorkeling point. We jumped into the deep blue sea, far from land. The water was so clear that I could see down to my feet, but beyond that, it turned a deep navy blue. I wondered how deep it was. The water felt so soothing, and when I relaxed, my body floated effortlessly. It was an incredible feeling of liberation.

Snorkeling around the Captain Cook monument was also amazing. It felt like being thrown into a tropical fish tank. There were huge sea urchins everywhere. I wonder if they taste good? (laughs) I also saw turtles swimming, which was another delight!

The captain's English was a bit hard to understand. It wasn't a problem, though. I thought it would be fun to react like a native speaker if I understood everything, but I don't even do that in Japanese!

At the end, we encountered another pod of dolphins. They seemed so free. I was very satisfied. Snorkeling among the coral reefs while watching colorful fish was great too. The sandwiches for lunch were delicious. There were also services for fruits, snacks, and juice, which made it very relaxing.

I brought my iPhone with a waterproof cover, but I took so many photos underwater that I ran out of battery when we were sightseeing over the ocean. Even when dolphins jumped right in front of me and we were in front of amazing lava caves, I couldn't capture those moments…

As mentioned in other reviews, my lack of English skills made it hard to understand the explanations, and I couldn't communicate much with other foreign guests, which was disappointing. However, the captain and the other staff were very kind.

I highly recommend this tour. I really enjoyed the extraordinary experience. Thank you very much. I would love to participate again!

最初にいきなり集合場所間違えてしまいました。カジキのモニュメントがある青い屋根の建物に行ったら、別のお店でした。それより手前のツアー会社がたくさんあるところです。

参加者は、私たちの他、家族連れ４人、カップル２組、計１０名でした。

最初にいきなりイルカのお出迎え。チョーー感激ー！！

ゴムボートのゾディアック号に最初乗った時は、ポンポン飛んでちょっと怖かったですがだんだんスピードがどんなに出ても飛び跳ねても気持ち良く感じるようになりました。日焼け防止のために帽子持って行きましたが、かぶっていられませんでした！

イメージを説明しますと、エンジンの着いたゴムボードのふちに腰掛け、つかまるところはロープのみ。ボートはそんな不安定な私達を乗せて沖にけっこうなスピードでかなり揺れながら進みます。迫力満点です。今まで海に振り落とされた方もいらしたそうです。

その後船長さんが、沖でクジラを探してくれましたが、残念ながらこの日は見つかりませんでした。ただ、マグロの群れに遭遇出来て、またまたちょっと感激～！

その後、スノーケルポイントに到着。 陸地から遠く離れ海のど真ん中でただただ碧い海に飛び込みました。足もとまでくっきり透き通って見えるのにその先は濃紺、いったいどれほどの深さなのでしょう。とろりと感じるぐらいの水、脱力すると簡単に体は浮きます。ものすごい解放感。

キャプテンクック記念碑の周りでのスノーケリングもすばらしかった。まるで熱帯魚の水槽の中に放り込まれたようでした。巨大なウニがたくさんいました。食べたらおいしいのかな？？笑。
カメさんも泳いでました。またまた感激です！

キャプテンの英語はちょと理解できませんね~。それで困ることはありません。理解できてネイティブ並みに反応できたら楽しいかとも思いますが（もともと日本語でもそういう乗り突っ込みはしないですからね）

最後にまたイルカの群れに会えました。自由を感じるイルカたちでした。大満足でしたね。
シュノーケルも珊瑚礁の中、色とりどりの魚を見ながら、良かったです。お昼のサンドイッチも美味しかったです。
フルーツや、スナック、ジュースのサービスもあり、とてもくつろげました。

ＩＰＨＯＮＥに防水カバーつけて持って行きましたが枚数が足りないほど海中をパシャパシャ撮りまくってしまったので、シュノーケルの後に、海の上からハワイ島観光をしてくれた時にはせっかく目の前でイルカがクルクルジャンプしても、すばらしい溶岩洞窟を目の前にしてもバッテリー切れで写真に収めることはできませんでした…

他の書き込みにもあるとおり、英語力がなく説明がよくわからなかったのと、他の外国人の方とコミュニケーションがあまり取れないのが残念でした。でもキャプテンも他のスタッフの方もとても親切です。
ほんとにおすすめのツアーですね。
非日常を楽しめました。

We spotted dolphins just five minutes after departing! What a wonderful start. I watched brave foreigners diving into the sea while enjoying snorkeling with my son. The inside of the boat was very clean! The restroom was cleaner than those in nearby hotels! Moreover, I was impressed to see the staff constantly moving and working diligently. Good job! On the way back, we encountered whales, making it an even more enjoyable memory.

出港して5分としないうちにイルカ出没‼︎なんと素晴らしいスタート。息子とシュノーケルを楽しみながら海へダイブの勇敢な外国人の方々を眺めました。船内はとても綺麗‼︎トイレはその辺のホテルより綺麗‼︎しかもスタッフの方々は常に動き、きめ細かくお仕事していたのを見て感動しました。good job‼︎
帰りにはクジラ出没し、更に楽しい想い出になりました。
