I made a confirmation call the day before the tour, but it was completely incomprehensible for us, as we couldn't speak any English, which left both sides in a bit of a bind... However, somehow it worked out, and when we arrived at the meeting place, we were warmly welcomed and were able to depart safely!

We had a 4-year-old with us, and since our child loves swimming in the sea and pool, they seemed to enjoy jumping directly into the ocean from the boat without any hesitation. However, since you can't stand on the coral, it might be tough for those who can't swim to accompany.

We were provided with kickboards and long floats, but as parents, it was quite stressful to swim with a child who can't swim. So, while I think children can participate and have fun, I would recommend joining after they learn to swim independently.

The sandwiches, fruits, and snacks for lunch were delicious. We were very satisfied with the meals.

On the day we went, we were also able to see baby dolphins jumping and playing!

There were many large fish! I had imagined small fish like those in Guam, but it was completely different! My daughter was delighted, saying, "It feels like we're swimming in an aquarium!" The staff even went out of their way to bring sea urchins and sea cucumbers for us to touch and enjoy since we returned to the boat early!

Although I couldn't understand most of the conversation since it was all in English, I think it was a tour that we could thoroughly enjoy because everyone, including the staff and participants, were very nice.

ツアー前日に確認の電話をしましたが、全く英語が話せない私達にはチンプンカンプンで、双方困ってしまいました…
が、まぁなんとかなるもので、集合場所に行くと温かく迎えて頂け、無事に出発出来ました！
私達は4歳の子連れでしたが、海やプールなどで泳ぐ事が大好きな子どもなので、ボートから直接海に入る事に抵抗もない様子で楽しめたみたいです。でも、珊瑚の上には立てないので、泳げない方が付き添いだときついと思います。

ビート板や細長い浮きは貸していただけましたが、親としては泳げない子どもを連れて泳ぐのは凄く気を使いました。
なので、子どもも参加は出来るし、楽しめるとは思いますが、一人で泳げるようになってからの参加をお勧めします。

昼食のサンドイッチやフルーツ、お菓子もおいしかったです。
食事にはとても満足しています。

私達が行った日は赤ちゃんイルカがジャンプして遊んでいる姿も見ることが出来ました！

魚は大きなのが沢山いました！
グアムなどの海にいる小さな魚を思い浮かべていましたが、全然違いました！
娘は『水族館の中で泳いでいるみたい！』と喜んでいました。
スタッフさんが、早めにボートに戻った私達の為にウニやナマコを取ってきて下さり、触って楽しんだりも出来ました！


英語ばかりでほとんどの話は分かりませんが、スタッフさんや参加者の皆さんは良い方ばかりなので十分楽しめるツアーだと思います。

It was my first time boarding a submarine, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The seabed, which we descended to 100 feet, was naturally filled with fish swimming freely, giving a different impression compared to an aquarium. I highly recommend this activity.

初めての潜水艦への乗船でしたが、スタッフの方が親切でとても良かったです。100ftまで潜った海底は、当然のことながら魚が自由に動き回っていて、水族館とはまた違ったイメージに感じました。このアクティビティは、お薦めです。

The meal was delicious, and the show was enjoyable, but at the beginning, we felt awkward because we didn't understand when the attendees were supposed to stand, so we were the only ones sitting. If you're not good at English conversation, it's okay to just follow what everyone else is doing. The sunset was incredibly beautiful, so I felt like we got more than just the show.

食事美味しく、ショーも楽しかったのですが初めのほうで参列者の起立が分からず私たちだけ椅子に座ったままで気まずい思いをしました。英会話が苦手な人は周りに合わせて行動すればＯＫです。サンセットがすごく綺麗でしたので、ショーの他に得した気分でした。

I had a great time meeting so many dolphins!

I dove into the area where the dolphins were swimming, and I was surprised when a pod came towards me?!

I was able to see many dolphins. There were dolphins jumping and spinning like in a show, playful dolphins, and mother-and-baby dolphins as well.

I felt surrounded, as if I was swimming with them.

I love the sound of dolphins, so being enveloped by their voices made me very happy.

Please be sure to experience it.

I highly recommend it!!

イルカが泳いでる所にダイブするんですが、イルカの群れが自分に向かってくる？！ってびっくり。

たくさんのイルカを見ることができました。
ショーのようにジャンプして回転してるイルカや
遊び好きなイルカ、親子イルカもいました。

囲まれてまるで一緒に泳いでるような気分になれました。

イルカの声が好きなので、声に包まれる感じでとても幸せでした。

I participated in late July, but unfortunately, I couldn't see any manta rays. However, I was told that if I didn't see them, I could join again, so I tried again, but I still didn't see any that day. It's disappointing, but since it's nature, there's nothing that can be done. I would like to participate again if I have the chance, as I don't think there are many places where you can easily see manta rays like this.

The staff were friendly, which was great. The sunset from the port was also very beautiful. I had no trouble getting to the meeting place because I followed the comments from previous posts.

７月下旬に参加したんですが、残念ながらマンタには会えませんでした。
ただ、見えなければもう１回参加できるとの事で再挑戦しましたが、この日も会えませんでした。
こんな事もあるんですね。すっごく残念ですが自然のものなので仕方ないですね。
でもまた機会があれば参加したいです。こんなに簡単にマンタに会える場所はそうそう無いと思うので。

スタッフの方もフレンドリーでよかったです。港からの夕陽もとってもキレイでした。
集合場所も前に投稿されてた方のコメントを見て行ったので問題なく行けました。

I encountered a large group of dolphins and swam with them, feeling as if I had become a dolphin myself. Since they are wild, we shouldn't touch them. Although we participated as a family, out of six people, everyone except one child got quite seasick due to the boat and the waves. That said, it was still a very enjoyable experience overall!

イルカの大群に遭遇していっしょに泳ぎ、まるで自分がイルカになったかのような気分。野生なので触ってはいけません。ただ、ファミリーでの参加でしたが、船と海の揺れで6人中子供1人を除いてみんな相当な船酔いしました。それもやむなしで、トータルとても楽しかったです！

Although my favorite island is Kauai, my husband and I always take a side trip over to the big island, just because I have to snorkel at Kealakekua Bay! The first time we did it we took the Zodiac boat which was lots of fun, fast, wet, and bouncy. With that said the last three times we have chosen the Fair Wind! This large catamaran provides a wonderful relaxing ride over to the bay and they cook you a wonderful barbecue lunch in addition to a continental breakfast. There is lots of time to snorkel which is totally amazing! The coral and fish are beautiful. My favorite area is around the coral on the monument side. You will see lots of different fish and be sure and go back and snorkel some more after lunch! The catamaran does have slides and high platforms to jump off of, but the best part is snorkeling. They do offer snuba too, if you enjoy that. I highly recommend this tour. It is the best! Don't forget your underwater camera. Enjoy the attached pics.

The staff consisted of a very cheerful older man and a younger guy. They took us to several beautiful spots, including places where cute birds gather and areas resembling the Blue Cave. Their service was extremely polite, and they were attentive throughout. When I dropped my sunglasses in the sea, they dove in to retrieve them, and they quickly noticed when I was being swept away to a shallower area during snorkeling and came to help. I think beginners and families can enjoy snorkeling here with peace of mind!☆

スタッフはとても明るいおじさんとお兄さんの2人。
シュノーケル以外でもかわいい鳥が集まる場所や、青の洞窟風の場所など景色のよいところに何か所も立ち寄ってくれました。
対応も非常に丁寧で、よく目が行き届くスタッフでした。
海にサングラスを落とした時は潜って見つけくれ、シュノーケリング中も浅くなっているところに流されてしまったときにすぐに気付いて助けに来てくれました。初心者やファミリーでも安心してシュノーケリングを体験できるとおもいますよ☆

Hawaii Island Ocean Rafting & Lava Cave Adventure with Snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay by Captain Zodiac

We participated!!

On the day of the tour, due to the arrival of a luxury cruise ship from America, the 12-person boat was filled with foreigners except for my wife and me. The guidance was only in English, but even if you can't speak English at all, it's totally fine!!!

We got to see wild dolphins, and snorkeling in front of the beautiful "Captain Cook Monument," which is the most beautiful spot in Hawaii, was amazing. It's shallow, so even those who are not comfortable in the water (up to their face) can join.

Please be careful after arriving, as there is no changing area provided by the tour company. We dried off from the wind on the return boat and changed at the hotel after returning with our rental car.

当日は、アメリカからの豪華客船の到着の為に、１２人乗りボートは僕たち夫婦以外全部外人でした案内も英語オンリーでしたが、まったくしゃべれない英語でも全然OK問題ないです！！！！！

野生のイルカも見れたし、ハワイの中で１番綺麗な「キャプテンクックの碑」の前でシュノーケリングは最高です。
浅瀬なので、水が苦手な方（顔までなら）の方でもOKです。

到着後は、ツアー会社の着替える場所が無いので、気ぉ付けて下さい。僕たちは帰りのボートの風で乾燥し、そのままレンタカーで帰りホテルで着替えました。

We saved the best for last , attended the night before we flew home . Everybody said it was the best time they had in the 2 weeks we spent on the big island. We loved it!!!!

I participated in an afternoon cruise. I drove a rental car to the meeting point for the tour. The weather was nice, and the boat didn't rock much, but while I was fiddling with my camera and looking for my belongings, I started to feel a bit queasy. Since it takes time to get to Kealakekua Bay, I think it's better to take it slow and enjoy the view outside for a while after boarding.

The sea was very beautiful, and I could see all the way to the bottom. There were also many small fish. The boat was equipped not only with snorkeling sets but also with floaties and some kind of tool that allows you to look into the water without putting your face in it.

Only the consent form for the first tour was available in Japanese, but everything on the boat was in English. Since they also discuss safety precautions, I wouldn't recommend it for someone who doesn't understand English at all.

On the way back, we encountered dolphins, and they swam alongside the boat for a while, so we were able to enjoy some dolphin watching. It was a very satisfying tour.

アフタヌーンクルーズに参加しました。ツアーの集合地点まではレンタカーで。天気は良く船も揺れなかったのですが、カメラをいじったり荷物を探したりしていたら少し酔いそうになりました。ケアラケクア湾へは時間がかかるので乗ってしばらくはゆっくり外を眺めていた方が良いと思います。
海はとても綺麗で底の方まで見渡せました。小さな魚もたくさんいます。船にはシュノーケリングセットだけでなく浮き輪や、顔を水につけずに水を覗き込める道具（？）等も準備されていました。
最初のツアーへの参加同意書のみ日本語の紙も用意されていましたが、船の中では全て英語です。注意事項等も話されるのでまったく英語がわからない人にはおすすめできないと思います。
帰りにはイルカに遭遇し、しばらく船と一緒に泳いでくれたのでイルカウォッチングまで楽しめました。とても満足のいくツアーでした。

Nearly 14000 fts above sea level. You will able to see very beautiful sky!!! The tour guide has wonderful knowledge about stars positions. It's worth it.

We participated as a family. Thank you for preparing prescription goggles for my nearsighted son. We had the precious experience of being surrounded by dolphins. It was an indescribable emotion. The staff were very kind and their work was professional! When I called the day before, they properly informed me about the meeting place and precautions, which was very helpful. Not only did we see dolphins, but we also spotted manta rays and whales. I felt the beauty of nature on the Big Island, as well as the warmth of the people. The other families who participated were also very friendly, making it a fun time. I absolutely recommend this tour!

I participated in the afternoon tour. I received a reservation confirmation email that mentioned to call for confirmation the day before, but it might be a bit challenging for those who can't speak English.

I drove to the location with a rental car. The parking lot was far from the office and hard to find, so having a map in advance would be helpful.

The boat was fairly large, and I didn't feel seasick at all. We encountered dolphins along the way. There were light snacks and drinks available on board.

The sea was incredibly beautiful, and I was able to see many fish, coral reefs, and sea urchins. There was also a slide, which was fun.

I was surprised to see an elderly woman, who looked to be over 80 years old and bent over, entering the water! Of course, she had someone accompanying her.

Since it wasn't summer, it was cold when we got out of the water.

前日に確認の電話を！と予約確認メールであり電話しましたが、英語なのでしゃべれない人はちょっと大変かも。
レンタカーで現地へ。駐車場が事務所から離れていて分かりにくかったので、あらかじめ地図などあると助かります。
船はまぁまぁ大きく全く酔いませんでした。途中イルカに遭遇。
船内では軽いスナックと飲み物あり。
海はすごく綺麗で沢山の魚やサンゴ礁ウニなど観ることができました。滑り台もあり楽しめました。
また、もう80才以上ではないかと思われる腰の曲がったおばあさんが海に入っていたのにはビックリです！！もちろん1人付き添っていましたが。
夏ではないので、海から上がった時は寒かったです。

I wanted to see the birds on the Big Island, so I participated even though I don't understand English. There were about ten participants, and I felt a bit flustered during the introductions in the car. Everything was explained in English, but there was a participation agreement in Japanese, so I thought it would be nice to have some explanation notes in Japanese. Although I couldn't understand the language, I enjoyed myself thanks to the guide and the consideration of the other participants who wanted everyone to have a good time, and I was able to see the birds properly. I think it's a good idea for participants to know how to use binoculars and some basic English.

英語がわからないけど、ハワイ島の鳥をみたかったので参加しました。
参加者は１０名程度で行きの車の中で各自の自己紹介があって焦りました。
説明とかもすべて英語ですが、参加誓約書は日本語のものがあったので日本語での説明メモがあったらいいなあと思いました。
言葉は理解できませんでしたが、楽しんでもらおうというガイドさんや他の参加者の方の気遣いで楽しめましたし、鳥もちゃんと見れました。
参加する方は双眼鏡の使い方と簡単な英語は知っておいた方がいいと思います。

Overall, it was an incredibly exciting experience. It was a fun time.

On the last day of my stay, it became an even better memory. I want to see it again!

My husband and I were first time visitors to Hawaii. Going to a luah was one activity we chose. We took advantage of the preferred seating and felt it was worth the money. We were seated right in the front, were able to go first to the buffet and received $5 off our picture and paid only $5 for parking. The entertainment was truly amazing. The food was o.k but we didn't expect a whole lot. The dancers even stood at the exit so you could get a picture with them.

On March 4, 2012, I participated in a tour with Aloha Kona Tours for my honeymoon. During this time, if you're lucky, you can see not only dolphins but also whales.

We were fortunate enough to encounter whales. Moreover, we were much closer than typical whale watching experiences (within 10 meters). In fact, they were swimming right under the boat. On our way back after swimming with the dolphins, a whale jumped right in front of us. I was so excited that I couldn't say anything other than "Wow!" (It was the same for Mr. Nawata from Aloha Kona Tours, right? lol)

There are various discussions about Japan's whaling practices, but I think this experience is one that everyone should have if possible. It had a significant impact on my personal perspective.

There were also plenty of dolphins. I was able to swim while dolphins were right in front of me. Experiencing "swimming with a pod of dolphins" is something you definitely can't do in Japan. Dolphins are just so cute, and there were even mother and baby pairs. I was able to swim multiple times by anticipating the movement of the pod. I got so excited that I swam too much.

As for what to bring, in addition to swimwear, it's a good idea to have a waterproof digital camera. I'll post some photos as well.

Thanks to Mr. Nawata and Ms. Tsuyako from Aloha Kona Tours, I had a safe and incredibly fun experience. (In fact, they were enjoying it with us, too! lol) Honestly, if you're going to the Big Island, you should definitely join this tour.

2012年3月4日にハネムーンでAloha Kona Toursのツアーに参加しました。
この時期は運が良ければイルカだけでなく、クジラも見ることが出来ます。

私たちは正にそれで、クジラと遭遇できました。
しかも、よくあるホエールウォッチングとは比較にならない近さでした。(10m以内)
というかボートの下を通ってました。
また、イルカと泳いだ帰りにも目の前でクジラがジャンプしました。
興奮しすぎて「すげぇ！」以外の言葉が出てこなかったです。

日本人は調査捕鯨の話などでいろいろありますが、この体験は出来ればした方がいいと思いました。
私個人の考え方にとてもインパクトを与えました。

イルカもたくさん居ました。
目の前にイルカが居る状態で泳げました。
「イルカの群れと泳ぐ」なんて体験は絶対に日本では出来ません。
イルカはとにかくカワイイです。親子連れとかも居ました。
群れの移動に先回りして何回も泳ぐことが出来ました。
テンション上がり過ぎて泳ぎ過ぎました。

持ち物としては水着等以外にも防水タイプのデジカメがあった方がいいです。

(むしろ一緒になって楽しんでましたね(笑)）
お世辞抜きにハワイ島へ行くならこのツアーに参加すべきです。

Since I am into diving, I went for snorkeling in the bay without expecting too much. It was beautiful.
There were plenty of fish, the reef was stunning, and the water clarity was high.
I think the clarity was comparable to that of the remote islands in Okinawa.
Drinks, snacks, and pineapples were all-you-can-eat.

On the way back, we encountered a pod of dolphins, and further away, there were whales.
It was fun on the large boat without any seasickness.

ダイビングやってるので湾でのシュノーケル、まぁそこまで期待しすぎず行きました。美しかったです。
魚も豊富リーフも美しい、透明度も高い。
透明度は沖縄の離島クラスかと思います
ドリンク、お菓子、パイナップルが食べ放題でした。

帰りにイルカの群れに遭遇、さらに遠くにはクジラ。
大きな船で船酔いも無く楽しかったです。

There are not enough superlatives to describe this experience. For a landlubber from eastern Canada this is an adventure that will not likely be repeated. The staff at Sea Paradise are friendly, proffessional and extremely knowledgable. I would not hesitate to book with them again. Can't wait for my DVD to arrive so I can relive it all over again.

One experience that can only be had on the Big Island of Hawaii is manta night snorkeling. Plankton gather around the light from the Sheraton Hotel in Keauhou Bay, attracting manta rays that come to feed on them. This is something you should definitely experience at least once. The night boat and snorkeling can be cold, so I recommend bringing a warm jacket. Also, if you are prone to seasickness, it's wise to take some medication beforehand. However, I believe you will have a great experience that you won't regret.

ハワイの中でもハワイ島でしかできない体験がマンタ・ナイト・ショノーケリング。ケアウホウ湾のシェラトンホテルが出す光にプランクトンが集まり、そのプランクトンを食べにやってくるマンタ。これは一度経験した方がいいでしょう。夜の船、シュノーケリングは寒いので温かい上着なども持っていくといいと思います。また船酔いする方は薬も飲んでおいた方が無難だと思いました。でも、後悔しない良い体験ができると思います。

This is a fine way to see the reef, at a depth beyond comfortable SCUBA range. The crew is very professional and obviously happy to be doing what they do.

Check-in at Keauhou Bay. This tour is mainly targeted at mainland tourists who are participating in overseas tours, so all the guidance is in English. However, if you've received a basic education, you should be fine. The staff are friendly and respond kindly. Kealakekua Bay has high transparency and calm waves, making it an ideal environment for snorkeling. You'll be welcomed by a variety of tropical fish. Also, if you're lucky, dolphins might come by. With breakfast and lunch included at this price, it's quite reasonable.

ケアウホウ湾でチェックイン。チェックイン時から海外ツアーへ参加しているんだとわかる本土系観光客をメインターゲットにしたツアーです。だから案内等は全て英語ですが、義務教育を受けている人なら大丈夫です。スタッフはフレンドリーで親切に対応してくれます。ケアラケクア湾は透明度が高く波も少ない湾でシュノーケルにはもってこいの環境。色とりどりのトロピカルフィッシュがお出迎えしてくれます。また運が良いとイルカもやってくるそうです。朝食、昼食とついてこのお値段なので納得です。

I participated with my mother in her 60s. I was a bit worried about her joining due to the speed of the boat, but we were both very satisfied. I think elderly people can participate as well. The staff was very accommodating, and during snorkeling, they supported my mother, who couldn't swim, by providing a float that allowed her to look down and see the fish.

Fortunately, we were lucky enough to encounter whales and dolphins. There were no staff members who spoke Japanese, but I think as long as you can communicate a little, you can enjoy the experience without any issues. It's more thrilling than regular whale watching, and I highly recommend it.

60代の母と参加しました。
スピードの出るボートとのことちょっと高齢の母の参加を心配していましたが大満足です。高齢の方も参加できると思います。スタッフの対応もよくシュノーケリングの際は泳げない母をサポートしていただき下を覗けるビート板のようなものにつかまり魚を見せてあげることができました。
ラッキーなことに鯨とイルカにも遭遇することができました。
日本語を話せるスタッフはいませんが少し意思疎通ができれば問題なく楽しめると思います。
普通のホエールウオッチングよりスリリングでお薦めです。

If you participate expecting typical rafting, you might feel it's a bit different.

Instead of the thrill from drops, it feels more like riding a rubber boat at high speed on the ocean, similar to jet skiing.

Honestly, I got a bit bored since there were no drops, just fast speeds.

Still, I appreciated the service spirit of the captain, and it was great to actually see wild dolphins and a whale in the distance.

The snorkeling spots were nice, though I wouldn't say they were astonishingly beautiful.

一般的なラフティングをイメージして参加すると少し違うものだと感じます。

段差があってその落差でドキドキというよりかは、ゴムボートに乗って海面を速いスピードで移動していく、ジェットスキーのような感覚というと近いかもしれません。

途中、落差がなくスピードが速いだけなわけで正直飽きてしまいました。

それでも、野生のイルカやクジラを探して見に行ったり、船長の方のサービス精神は感じました。
実際に野生のイルカと、遠くにクジラがみれてよかったです。

シュノーケルは驚くほどとはいえませんが綺麗なポイントです。

This was great activity! The historian who was on board with us did an excellent job of explaining everything that we were seeing along the coast. The food was really good and there was plenty of it. As an added bonus to our wonderful evening, we were first entertained by several schools of dolphins and then we sighted several whales. What a wonderful sight! The crew were very curtious and helpful and the live entertainment and the drinks were great. Definitely a highlight of my stay and something that I would do again!!

I underestimated Hawaii. The ocean at night was extremely cold. I was thinking I wanted to go home since I couldn't encounter a manta ray. However, when I finally encountered a manta ray swimming gracefully, I was so moved that the cold didn't matter anymore.

For those who are Japanese and not using a rental car, I recommend hotel shuttle services. We used a taxi, but there was a bit of distance between the place where we checked and confirmed the wetsuit size and the boat. Also, on the way back, we had a lot of trouble finding a taxi. I think it would be better to provide more information about that.

ハワイをなめていました。夜の海は、超寒かったです。
なかなかマンタに遭遇できずに、も~帰りたい・・・と思ってました。しかし、優雅に泳ぐマンタに遭遇したら、寒さも吹っ飛ぶくらいに感動しました。
日本人でレンタカーでの移動でない方は、ホテル送迎をお勧めします。私達は、タクシーでの移動でしたが、チエックしウエットスーツのサイズ確認した場所と船の場所も多少距離がありました。そして、帰りはまったくタクシーがつかまらなくて困り果てました。
その辺をもう少し告知した方が良いかと・・・

We had a great time doing the morning snorkel breakfast & lunch cruise on the Fairwind II. Snorkeling was amazing! Clear waters, abundant fish, and the staff even lends out inner tubes and rafts. Would definitely recommend!

On this tour, you can enjoy activities like cruising, snorkeling, and diving. During the cruise, you can see dolphins, and while snorkeling, you can spot many fish. After all the fun, what really made me happy was the fruits like pineapples and oranges! The staff had a lot of chilled fruits ready and served them to everyone. The staff's response was wonderful, and everyone had lovely smiles. If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would love to participate in this tour once more. このツアーでは、クルーズやシュノーケリング、飛び込みなどを楽しむことができます。クルーズでは、イルカが見られたり、シュノーケリングではたくさんの魚を見ることができます。たくさん遊んで、疲れた身体に嬉しかったのがパイナップルやオレンジなどのフルーツですです！スタッフがたくさんのフルーツを冷やしておいてくれて、みんなにふるまってくれました。スタッフの対応もみんな笑顔が素敵で、またハワイに行く機会があれば参加したいと思います。
