First time going to Pearl Harbor. Booked a long tour to embrace it all. I did have a great tour guide by the name of Kanoelani.
The duration on this website is misleading you in to believe that's how long the total time of day will take. Now if you were coming from the big island, then yes this can apply, but with my tour including travel time was roughly about 8hrs total time. This in no reflection of Kanoelani, this is a reflection towards what I was advertised. This needs to be said to us consumers that choose this activity so you don't get caught off guard too. The timeframe is a little excessive, but it felt like if that duration time is true, I would have more time to look at the USS Missouri which we were given a guided tour(from a volunteer on the ship), but then 30 minutes left to see the whole "BATTLESHIP". Do not get me wrong, I enjoyed the experience, but could have enjoyed it more without the pressure of limited time. That's the trade off for doing these activities, rather than going on by yourself/family. Overall a must see if you never been there, to witness firsthand this tragedy to grasp it in reality rather than in documentaries. Kanoelani was our driver, our very informative driver who is sharp, witty, and compassionate women that indulged us into other happenings during the Pearl Harbor attack and aftermath.

It was a good massage. I added a couple things. Reflexology and aromatherapy(peppermint) for this massage. Unfortunately, I had a back spasm week prior and was still sore, so cannot say that the back was good. However, the neck was considerable difference, from being tight(from my back) to very loose, which in turn relieved pressure on the back.

Turtles are still slow in the water, works for this activity..

Posted on: 2016/05/30

First time doing this. Thoroughly enjoyed it between the dolphins and turtle. I found a turtle by my lonesome, shared with everyone, but I guess there was more action somewhere else. I swam with the turtle as it slowly rose up to surface to get a breathe of air that took no more than one second. Then it went on its way. I don't have pictures of that experience to share, but I did have a go pro recording the whole time. So I have that to take with me the rest of my life.
Needs to said, there is a catch. If you want more interaction with mammal sea life, there is another activity that gets your first hand, up close and personal. However you are in a control environment. Whereas this activity is in the ocean; wildlife, so more than dolphins and turtles to experience(depending on the time of year too).

If I am allowed to edit this post, and also allow to post a hyperlink to a YouTube video, I will post that turtle swim.

Seclusion in the ocean.

Posted on: 2016/05/28

I borrowed a bike and rode south to the farthest part of the beach. It was secluded from everyone which made time more enjoyable. Less noise, more ocean. I snorkeled most of the day and relaxed. Again, very enjoyable.
However, the business and its employees is different story. They were wonderful, helpful, attentive, whatever other synonym out there that reflects on how a business should be.

Expectations...

Posted on: 2016/01/11

I mentioned this before on the phone. This was fun, but was only able to do one activity. Unfortunately the ad misleads you into thinking you can do whatever activities, whenever. You are allowed to swim, snorkel, bike ride or hike in the morning. Then you can either surf(which you cant cause it will cost you more when you never did it, apparently you have to take a lesson before using their boards), kayak, or stand up paddleboard in the afternoon. It just was a disappointment to have an expectaion of what to get for my day, then not do it. In other words, two spereate locations for the morning and afternoon activities, so majority of your time is traveling. Which is fine, but also would of have a different opinion. Knowing what i know now, i probably would never choosen this activity.
I missed the bus to go to the afternoon location, needless to say i was given the wrong time by tourist, but honsestly by the time i got there, i was out of time. One thing that is odd is the memory game, being dropped off somwhere and being picked up elsewhere. However, the people that works at the snorkel rental place, especially that young kid, clueless to his surroundings. Knew who i was & i who else i was there with in regards of the other party on the tour bus & couldnt inform me of the other party making it back. So knowing the time i had to be picked up, this kid not being observant and missing the bus is all my fault, right? So thanks for that! I had to wait for the city bus to pick me up to find out where the tour bus was to get back on it.
All in all, i only did one activity and did a lot of sitting & waiting around. Snorkeling was fun, but was my excitement was short lived with the turmoil. I had fun snorkeling, and thats about it. Oh yeah, dont worry, ill take care of that bus fare!

We are sorry you got the pick up times mixed up and were forced to catch a city bus to catch up , therefore missing your second activity. Normally we have other drivers on the North Shore and could have expatiated things so sorry for that too.PLEASE GIVE US A FUTURE DATE TO COMP YOU THE TOUR SO WE CAN SHOW YOU WHAT ITS REALLY LIKE.
P.S; FOR SAFTEY REASONS SURFING IS THE ONLY ACTIVITY WHICH IF YOU HAVE NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE YOU DO A LESSON. Those with some prior experience may surf with our basic package pricing.

Aloha Justin

Fishing experience a must before going out

Posted on: 2016/01/03

They don't teach out how to fish, they only supply hardware & bait. Did the night fishing, so its not like we had sunlight the whole time. I enjoyed myself, cause i know how to fish, but limited to where to go on the boat to fish.
They made food, not really, just cut up hot dogs & rice in a crock pot, set on simmer. I love to fish, but i don't like to eat it. However, i rather eat the fish i caught than to eat that mess hall type of food. In other words, not consider food to eat on a boat in the ocean. Almost as if to see who has a weak stomache on the waters.
Would i go back is the bottom line. Yes i would, i enjoy fishing. However bring your own food or wait till they cook the fishes caught, otherwise do not eat the food they supply. Bring beer!

Safety, safety, safety, safety aka CYA!

Stating that you are doing an hour ATV tour & then plus two activities. Well, depending on what you do depcits on how the activities fall into place. Since i chose the secret beach, its considered as 2 activities at 3hrs, so they had me do that first, then atv. Whereas the ad leads you into thinking ATV tour & then 2 activities. In my mind, get hot & sweaty with ATV, then relax & cool down with secret beach. You really need to have detail information on this ad for these activities. Such as with ATV safety protocols. Cannot take pictures, unless the guide stops so you can get off the atv to take pictures, which was one stop. Have to be in a single file line and cannot pass others. So, if you take a picture while on the ATV, you get canceled. If you go more than 12mph, while its governed at 16mph or so, you get canceled. If you slightly go off the path, because you know you are riding an ATV on concrete half the time, you get canceled. Cancel meaning, the guide steals your key from the ATV ignition & leaves you there stranded waiting for someone in a pickup truck with make shift seats in the back to pick you up. Come to find out, these shortcuts along the trails when you are actually riding on dirt, you cannot use, unless you did the 2hr ATV tour. Hmm, that was odd.

Right now this a little bird relaying a neglected information that is knowing this information i would have chose differently or not at all. I enjoyed the secret island. The buffet style of food was ok, i mean its their buffet, not a catering service. Dont have a lot of the fruit punch, otherwise when you go #2, it looks like blood, freaked me out! Fortunately for me i was by myself for this trip, but with others, you ALL have to do the same thing in order to be with eachother otherwise you will not be eachother, even if you have gotten the ATV tour package. Take this as it is for information you would like to known before making a purchase.

Intersting...

Posted on: 2015/05/19

Never had a lomi lomo massage, but with the back scrubbing was rather interesting. What really helped out when i added the oils aroma therapy, one for relaxation & the other for my muscles.

Now i doubled check for this on the ad, but where does it state mandatory $15 tip? What happens if i didnt have money on me? Do they then charge me on my credit card? Nothing like being relaxed, then stressed out again because you are being taken advantage of your own money! Its confusing, because i thought i paid for the service, now i need to pay the lady that massage me too? I call that double dipping.

This information needs to be stated, because in all honestly, its not your money, its mine to spend. Am i wrong? Another disappointment.
