It might always be like this, but perhaps due to the year-end usage, it was very crowded. The atmosphere was a bit awkward throughout because various groups were mixed at the long table for meals. When seated, the pineapple set on the table gave off a vibe of "please share it among yourselves," which further intensified the awkwardness. The taste of the buffet was just okay. During the meal, cast members performing hula and playing the ukulele came around to each table, but if you're looking for something more substantial, this might not be the place for you. After the meal, we moved to the theater to watch a show, which was probably of high quality (the American guests were really excited about the Elvis and MJ impersonations), but it felt more like an impersonation show and lacked the Hawaiian vibe, which was disappointing.

There are only a few companies on Oahu and they are the best. (Pay a little extra to get the photos...the shots are excellent!)

The dining area and the theater are at the same floor , the 4th floor of the shopping mall building. It is very close to the Waikiki Beach. We can just walk from our hotel, which is very convenient. It was ok. Tackle is not fancy but well maintained, bait is basic easy kind (frozen squid). Our group (about 20 people) caught 4 small fish total over 3h - not much but it is great to prove that we all had a chance. I felt like the crew could have done better. My personal peeve is, for some reason they decided to move away from a shallow (= easy to fish) spot where multiple people were getting bites to a super deep one with no bites (I’m guessing they were simply unaware that we were getting bites). Another problem is, when at a spot, the boat is simply set adrift, which makes it quite impossible to fish vertically (since the boat is moving).
Amazing experience .. Max is very friendly and experienced. He gave detailed training before the tour which was awesome.
There is no attendant at the meeting place, so I had to check in by myself at the check-in counter by showing my voucher. However, I was informed that my reservation wasn't properly reflected, which left me confused. In the end, it took quite a bit of time, and I managed to get in by sending a photo of the voucher. It was awkward since there were a lot of people lined up behind me.
The food was delicious, so I was satisfied. However, every time I ordered a drink other than the initial welcome Mai Tai, I had to pay with a credit card, which was a hassle. They don't accept cash, so a credit card is a must.
It seems that the performers change depending on the day, and on my day, it was only Elvis. I would have liked to see Michael too. If you like Elvis or Michael, you might enjoy it.

It was my first time visiting Hawaii and I wanted to watch a hula show. After doing some research, I chose Rock-A-Hula among others because of the location. It was located in the heart of Waikiki so I didn't have to worry about driving and another parking fees. The show is overall great, but I can't really say the same about the sound quality. It's not about the performance quality, but more of a sound system they have in the theatre. I'm a musician myself and may be little sensitive than musician, most people wouldn't tell the difference. (In fact, my parents really loved it). You could see many talented dancers and singers perform and it was the bomb. I highly recommend it!
The food was amazing for a buffet. The welcome cocktail was delicious. I would recommend getting the fish and the pork. The desert was also delicious!
The show was awesome and the drinks during the show were strong. I really liked the music and the performers! There is not a bad seat in the house! The Elvis impersonator was awesome! He should be in a Vegas show! Michael Jackson could of been a little bit better but he was still good.
Our server Kyle was excellent and was awesome during the show!
They do have an after party with good music that goes late into the night.
I would recommend getting their early to get a better seat and to be able to get food first.
This is the best luau on Oahu and would recommend this show to everyone. We will definitely be back for the great food, awesome entertainment and superior hospitality.

I've been to Hawaii many times, but this was my first try at this activity. I have a fear of heights, so I thought I would never do it. However, at the strong request of a friend who was visiting Hawaii for the first time, I decided to join in.
Seeing Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from a different angle was an incredible deal! Since it was all ocean below, I didn't feel high at all. The takeoff, landing in the water, and landing on the boat were all very gentle, so I wasn't scared at all! It was just so much fun! It became a wonderful memory. Next time, I think I'll take my husband along.
