I stayed at a hotel near Kuhio Beach. I changed into my swimsuit at the hotel and took The Bus to get there. There were no particular landmarks at the meeting point, but staff appeared as the time approached. The staff spoke only English. It was a good decision to come in my swimsuit instead of changing there. The meeting point was in front of the restroom, but it was unavailable. There was a restroom on the yacht.

I took motion sickness medication based on other people's reviews, and none of my family of six experienced seasickness. The yacht, with its pink sails against the blue sky, was very beautiful. There were two staff members, who might have been brothers. They were cheerful and very kind. I was a bit anxious about not understanding English, but I felt at ease.

Since I can't swim, I borrowed a life jacket. During snorkeling, we were guided to a spot where we could see sea turtles. There is a rule that you must not approach within one meter, and if you accidentally get too close, you will be stopped. There were many beautiful fish, and I could have watched them forever. After snorkeling, before heading back to the port, we went a little east, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

シュノーケリングでは、ウミガメのいるポイントまで案内してもらえました。1メートル以内に近づいてはいけないルールがあり、うっかり近づきすぎると制止されます。魚もたくさんいてとても綺麗で、ずっと見ていたいくらいでした。シュノーケリングが終わった後は、港に戻る前に少し東に走らせてくれて、美しい景色も堪能できました。

I've been to Hawaii many times, but this was my first sailing experience! There were free drinks, and I could enjoy unlimited Mai Tais and beer 🍺. The staff were all lively and it was a lot of fun. It had an exotic feel and I really got to enjoy the resort atmosphere. Even though we arrived more than 30 minutes late, it felt normal—it was Hawaiian time, haha. There were only two Japanese couples in our group, along with people from France, Canada, and South Korea, making it a multicultural experience. In front of Duke's restaurant you walk a few steps on the beach onto a wonderful catamaran-then go out for a hour ride on the water- the weather was sunny 85 degrees once out for five minutes the two front sails are dropped and the wind takes over the power. what a view of the open waters and Diamond Head on the left. Before we turned around to head back to shore, I had finished my first drink, a MaiTai, then on way back in had a fresh pineapple juice with rum-what's not to like? Did I say drinks are included! The view of the Honolulu beach and all the high rise hotels was cool coming in. To top off such a wonderful time, had dinner at Duke's-that's another story-do this it will be a highlife of your visit to Oahu.

I was a bit anxious about whether I would really get to see sea turtles, but I was thrilled to see several of them up close. The staff also entered the water and would point out where the turtles were when they found them. However, the clarity of the water itself isn't that great, so while you can see the turtles up close if they are near, it's hard to see them well if they are a bit farther away. In fact, it's better to take off the mask they provide and see the turtles with your bare eyes as they come up to the surface multiple times. It's moving to see their adorable faces at the same eye level underwater!

Also, from the boat, you can enjoy views of the streets of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and people surfing, showcasing the quintessential Hawaii scenery. It was a lot of fun, combining a bit of cruising as well.

After signing the waiver at the meeting point, we boarded a larger boat. We were given fins and goggles there. The size of the fins can be adjusted after trying them on! The sea was a bit murky, but we were able to encounter sea turtles about 5-6 times. It takes about 10 minutes by boat to get there, and we snorkeled for a little over an hour. It's definitely a good idea to bring drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen, a rash guard, and motion sickness medication.

All the instructions are in English, so having a certain level of English proficiency would be reassuring. There were no other Japanese people besides us, but the crew members were very kind. Each person snorkeled, and when a turtle appeared, they would point out the direction. It felt like everyone swam to see the turtles, so I think being able to swim to some extent would enhance the experience.

少し海が濁っていましたが、5-6回ほどウミガメに遭遇する事ができました。
片道10分程度船で移動、1時間強シュノーケリングです。飲み物、サングラス、日焼け止め、ラッシュガード、酔い止めは絶対に持って行った方が良いです。

注意事項等全て英語となるのである程度英語力があった方が安心かと思います。
私達以外に日本人はいなかったですが、クルーの皆さんがとても親切でした。
各自シュノーケルをして、ウミガメが現れるとその方角を教えてくれます。各自泳いでカメを見に行く感じで、ある程度泳げた方が楽しめるかなと思いました。

We arrived at the snorkeling spot in no time after departure. Once we put on our gear and entered the water, I was amazed to see colorful fish swimming right in front of me. As I swam towards where the staff pointed, I was thrilled to see a sea turtle swimming gracefully!

All the staff were friendly and provided thorough explanations, so I felt secure participating in the tour. My elementary school-aged child also seemed very happy and enjoyed snorkeling the whole time. I would love to join again on our next trip to Hawaii.
