We drove about three minutes from the shop to the beach right in front of the zoo. I was staying at the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower, but it was only about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the beach, so my wife and others walked from the hotel to the beach. On that day, I didn't surf, but a total of six people participated, including my 16-year-old daughter, a Japanese family, and a Korean couple. Since it was my daughter's first time surfing, we requested a private lesson. This was the right choice. In a group, there is one instructor for every five people, which reduces the number of times you can catch a wave, but with a one-on-one lesson, there are frequent opportunities to ride the waves. Thanks to this, my daughter was able to enjoy surfing frequently and surprisingly quickly. After finishing, we returned to the shop, where they showed us images taken by a drone. There were both videos and still images, and for those interested in purchasing, they send the data for $50. The images were not just of my daughter; they included all participants, with about 300 still images and around 30 short videos. After paying, the data was sent to my specified iPhone at the shop in about 30 minutes. Including the tip, it is certainly not a cheap tour, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime memory. Since I always played golf, I decided to try surfing for the first time while in Hawaii. When I went to the surf shop offering lessons, there was quite a crowd waiting, which was encouraging. It was a semi-private lesson, but I felt there wasn't much difference from a group lesson. The timing for paddling with the waves was entirely up to the coach. Since I was on a longboard, I was able to stand up right from the start, which was fun. However, paddling out to the ocean was tough, and that was quite challenging.
