I wanted to experience horseback riding in Hawaii, and after comparing it with other riding clubs, I chose this one because it was close to the center of the North Shore. I took an Uber, but I think I made a mistake with the pin placement and initially arrived at the neighboring building, which made me anxious. A kind driver and the people next door helped me get to the correct building!

Before riding, you receive a briefing from the staff. Everything is in English, but there is a Japanese explanation in the waiting room, so it's not a problem if you can't understand English. The horses are smart, cute, and accustomed to people.

During the ride, a staff member led the way, and we had a mix of sturdy horses, unique horses, and those with hearty appetites. The horse in the middle seemed to be the cute surprise element! We enjoyed the scenery as we alternated between walking along the North Shore coastline and through the forest. It was my first time walking by the sea on horseback, and I was thrilled.

Since it was a leisurely stroll, those who want to gallop might find it a bit lacking. However, riding such smart and adorable horses while occasionally feeling the North Shore breeze is fantastic! On the way back along the coast, the staff member took photos for us with our smartphones. All the staff were very kind.

A note of caution: the time we visited was unusually humid for Hawaii, so it felt extremely hot. It's better to hydrate before and after riding, so bringing drinks or buying them at a supermarket in the North Shore is advisable. There are no supermarkets around the ranch. (They were selling carbonated drinks in the waiting room, but water was sold out.)

I called an Uber for the return trip, but it's a spot where Wi-Fi is hard to connect. You need to walk a little to a place with signal. Don't panic; it will work out! Make sure to keep your Wi-Fi and smartphone charged! Prepare in advance!

There are restrooms available. I was worried because I read reviews saying there were none, but there are restrooms. However, they are portable toilets like those found at construction sites or outdoor festivals. Since there are no shops around, I thought it was worth mentioning for those who might be concerned about restroom access.

You cannot ride with large luggage (you can leave your belongings in the waiting room, which has surveillance cameras, so it's safe), so it's a good idea to have one person carry a smartphone (to use when taking photos with the staff by the seaside). In that case, a body bag or waist pouch that doesn't hinder riding would be convenient!

ハワイで乗馬体験がしたくて、他の乗馬クラブとも比較した結果、車でノースショアの中心部から近かったこちらにしました。
ウーバーで行きましたがピンの立て方を間違えたのか最初はお隣の建物に着き、焦りました。親切なドライバーさんとお隣さんが、こちらの建物まで無事にアテンドしてくれました！
乗馬前はスタッフからレクチャーを受けられます。全て英語ですが、待合室で日本語の解説があるので英語が聞き取れなくても問題ありません。
馬たちはお利口さんで可愛くて、人に慣れています。
道中は、スタッフのお姉さんが先頭になり、よりしっかりした馬、個性的な馬、食欲旺盛な馬、しっかりした馬の順番でした。真ん中に配置された馬は可愛いハプニング要員だったみたいです^_^
ノースショアの海岸沿いと森の中を交互に散歩する感じで景色を楽しめました。海沿いを馬と歩くなんて人生初なので感激しました。
終始、お散歩なので駆け足をしたい方は物足りないかもしれません。

でも賢くてかわいい馬に乗せてもらって、ノースショアの風を時折感じられるのは最高です！
帰り道の海岸沿いで、お姉さんにスマホで写真も撮ってもらえます。スタッフのお姉さん達は皆さん親切な人でした。

注意点として
私達の行った時期が、ハワイにしては多湿だったので体感温度はめちゃくちゃ暑かったです。乗る前後に水分補給した方がよいので、飲み物は持参もしくは、ノースショアのスーパーで買ってきた方がベターです。牧場なので周囲にスーパーはありません。（こちらの待合室で炭酸系のジュースは販売してましたが、お水は売り切れていました）

帰りもウーバーを呼びましたが、Wi-Fiが入りにくい場所です。電波の届くところまでほんのちょっとだけ歩きます。何とかなるので慌てずに！
Wi-Fi、スマホの充電は切らさないように！事前に準備を！

トイレはあります。口コミでトイレがないとあり不安でしたが、ありました。ただし、工事現場や野外フェスティバルにあるような仮設トイレです。
周囲にお店がないのでトイレの心配する人がいるかもしれないと思ったので情報として入れておきます。

大きな荷物で乗馬することはできない（荷物は待合室に置いておけます、監視カメラが付いてるので大丈夫）ので、スマホ（海辺でスタッフさんに撮影してもらう時に使う）を持ち歩く人を一名は作るといいと思います。その際はボディバッグやウエストポーチ等、乗馬の妨げにならないショルダーバッグがあると便利ですよ！

When we were riding horses, the four of us were quite excited. However, by the time we finished riding and returned, everyone seemed tired. My father and husband, who just turned 70, got off the horse saying their knees hurt and walked in a rather strange way. My 9-year-old and 10-year-old daughters and my nephew simply said they were sleepy.

As I listened to them, it seemed they felt sleepy because they were walking at the same pace through similar scenery. Additionally, the uncles were in the same position and at the same pace, which seemed to have taken a toll on their legs and back. They mentioned that the horseback riding experience on the Big Island of Hawaii was better. What a shame...

Since my youngest daughter, who is 3 years old, also wanted to experience horseback riding like her older sister, I assumed it would be a pony riding experience and made the reservation. In Japan, I was able to immerse myself in the magnificent nature, forgetting the time while feeling the pleasant sunlight and breeze. It was an incredibly happy time, and my mother, who joined me, was very satisfied as well. My father, an experienced rider, participated in the advanced course and was also thrilled with horseback riding in Hawaii's stunning nature. Most importantly, I was overjoyed to see my 2-year-old son experience horseback riding for the first time during the 20-minute introductory course, which made me feel his growth. My wife, who had said she might ride if our son couldn't, ultimately didn't get to ride, but she was satisfied watching our son on the horse. Thanks to the very friendly staff, we had the best time.

The guides were great - took very good care of us, kept us at a great pace, very knowledgeable of the land and horses. The scenery was fantastic - walked along the shoreline of the beach. I took an Uber to get there.
From the road, I could see a green-roofed waiting area with several chairs and a table that had a simple guide in Japanese on how to ride.
There were only me and my daughter, a white man, and a cute girl who guided us, making a total of three people.
We enjoyed a leisurely horseback ride through the fields and North Shore.
Sometimes the horse would stop to eat grass or urinate, which was also fun.
We thoroughly enjoyed 90 minutes on the North Shore.
If you're expecting a fast-paced ride, it might feel a bit lacking, but if you want to relax and enjoy, it's perfect.
Since there were no other Japanese people in the later group, it felt very Hawaiian.
I was a bit anxious because the Uber driver who brought us said it would be difficult to get an Uber back, but I was able to ride after waiting for 20 minutes.
I think it's a bit far from Waikiki, but I highly recommend this horseback riding experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes, I think. I was horseback riding. I was able to have a dynamic and refreshing ride while walking along the sea of the North Shore. However, the course and the order of walking are predetermined, so it might be a bit unsatisfying for those who are experienced in horseback riding. Nevertheless, you can still ride at breathtaking viewpoints.

The local staff do not speak Japanese, but they are friendly and kind, using gestures to communicate, so I think even those who are not good at English will be fine.

First, they asked if we wanted to wear helmets, and if we chose not to, we were asked to sign a consent form. Then, under the guidance of Sheina, my 2-year-old daughter rode a pony while the adults rode larger horses, taking a leisurely 20-minute walk in a single file through the grasslands and bushes. The horses ridden by the adults would sometimes stop to eat grass, so we had to kick the stirrups to encourage them to move forward, or pull the reins to bring them back into line if they started to walk too fast. It was a very valuable experience to operate the horse by ourselves for the first time.

At the end, my daughter was allowed to brush and feed the pony she was riding, and she was overjoyed (laughs). Even after returning home, she keeps talking about the pony (laughs). The only downside is that there is no transportation provided, so we had to make our own way to the North Shore. 最後は2歳の娘が乗っていたポニーにブラッシングやえさやりをさせてくれて、娘は大喜び（笑）帰国してもずっとポニーの話をしています（笑）
唯一の難点は、送迎がないのでノースショア方面まで自分で行かなければいけないことですが、どうしてもガンストック牧場でお願いしたかったのでガイド付きの車をチャーターしてハレイワ観光とセットで行くことにしました。
敷地が広大で馬に乗って見る景色は大変美しく、心地よい風と気候で癒されました。またハワイに訪れる際は立ち寄りたいと思います。

It was a unique experience that you can't have in Japan, and I really enjoyed it. My 2-year-old daughter fell asleep, so her dad rode instead. I had only made a reservation for my grandchild, but they easily accommodated changing it to one adult for my grandchild and adding another adult.

Next time, we plan to go on a trip with just the grandparents, and I want to go horseback riding at Turtle Bay, where we went for our honeymoon (laughs). It will be next New Year's, so I hope to see you then!

次回は、じぃじ&ばぁばの2人旅の予定なので、新婚旅行で行った(笑)タートルベイの乗馬に行きたいなぁ‼って言ってます。来年のお正月になりますが、その時もヨロシクお願いします。

It was our family's first trip to Hawaii and our first horseback riding experience. Initially, we had booked the horseback riding experience at Kualoa Ranch, but due to overcapacity, we switched to this tour. I was told that there was no reservation. I'm not sure if it was a mistake by Veltra or Polo Club, but although I was able to go horseback riding somehow, the attitude of the Polo Club was consistently poor, and I felt terrible even though I did nothing wrong. The phone support from Veltra was only in English, so I couldn't contact them right away. That was disappointing as well. Since I was really looking forward to the activity, I felt very let down.

I had my first horseback riding experience with my 9-year-old son and my husband. My horse and my husband's horse were calm and followed the staff's horse, but there were times when my son's horse wouldn't move away from the line, which made me think that my son might have been a bit nervous, and that might have been communicated to the horse. The horses started walking at the staff's cue. We were able to leisurely explore nature and ride the horses, which was very soothing.

One disappointing thing was that the staff explained how to ride and the precautions in English, so I couldn't understand much. However, my son seemed to have enjoyed it and said he would like to ride again when we come back.

I made a same-day reservation for a private plan through the app and arrived. After parking my car, I went to the reception where I was told to leave my belongings in the car and only take my phone.

I put on a helmet and received an explanation along with three other customers.

Huh?? A private plan..!?

The staff kindly explained everything. At one point, I was handed a smartphone, and we all read the instructions written in Japanese together.

After that, we set off. Just before departure, it started to rain, and they lent me a rain jacket.

During the horseback riding, there was one staff member assigned to each group. The horse I rode on started to relieve itself right away and then immediately went off to eat grass, which was quite challenging.

I tried to follow the initial instructions, but when I called for the staff, they seemed a bit annoyed while helping me.

Perhaps because it started to rain, the horse became grumpy and suddenly crouched down. At that moment, one of my legs got pinned underneath. その後特にフォローはなく、清算もアプリからしていたので、お疲れ様〜って感じで終わりました。すごく楽しみにしていたのですが、なんかもやもやしながら帰りました。

It was my son and son-in-law's first time riding, but the horses were smart, and they enjoyed it without any problems. I previously had a horseback riding experience at Kualoa Ranch, but the movie tour aside, the horseback riding felt very much like a "tourist attraction"—it was crowded, and we all went in a line together.

At Gunstock Ranch, my 2-year-and-10-month-old daughter could ride a pony, while my husband and I chose to ride horses. A staff member walked with my daughter's pony, and we followed behind on our own horses. There aren't many places that allow small children to ride alone, so it was a valuable experience! We chose a 20-minute ride, which was more than enough time for little ones! The grounds are incredibly spacious, allowing us to feel the great outdoors, and afterward, they let my daughter brush the pony and give it treats, which was really friendly of them. I definitely want to go back next time!

*However, there were no staff members who spoke Japanese. I don't think it would be too much of a problem, though.

You can experience walking on the sandy beach and through the "salad bar" (pasture, as the guide metaphorically describes it, since the horses love to eat grass), truly feeling like you're horseback riding in Hawaii! It was a private experience just for us! This was my second time riding, but this one was the best! The sunset viewed from the sandy beach is an unforgettable memory! I recommend going by car, though. It was a tough rural town without transportation, haha. We used Uber! The driver was a nice person and waited for us until we were done. It's better to go with plenty of time to spare. By the way, it's almost completely dark at night since there are hardly any streetlights.

I had an absolutely amazing time! (laughs)

I was quite nervous at first, but thanks to the kind staff, I was able to ride without any issues after just a 5-minute briefing. There were ups and downs, and suddenly we passed through a tunnel in the forest that felt like something out of My Neighbor Totoro, riding on horseback. We climbed rocky areas while keeping an eye on free-range cows—it was quite an adventure! Surprisingly, my backside didn't hurt much at all. I kept saying how fun and interesting it was, and even though the experience was supposed to last an hour, they let us ride for about an hour and a half!

They only spoke English, but they talked slowly and clearly, which actually made it feel more authentic. There were just the two of us and another group, so it felt like a private experience! It had more of a Western vibe than a Hawaiian one, though... (laughs)

Above all, the horses were great, and the danger level was zero (☆∀☆). My wife, who doesn't like animals, was able to pet them normally and felt comfortable! If you sign a waiver for accidents beforehand, you can ride without a helmet (laughs). This explanation was a bit complicated, though...

It was truly a wonderful experience that made me feel like I had the great outdoors all to myself and made me love horses even more!
