You can ride horses while enjoying the beautiful sea of the North Shore! The instructions are in English, but I think you can figure out how to ride. I took my 9-year-old child, and they had a great time. They also took a lot of pictures, which made for wonderful memories!

My fourth-grade daughter had some horseback riding experience in Japan, but her parents had almost none, yet we felt comfortable participating. Since we met at the location, we rented a car through an app and headed there. It took just over an hour to arrive from our hotel in Waikiki. Our group consisted of a total of eight people, with only our family of three being Japanese. The rest were Europeans and Asians. My wife speaks English, but my daughter and I only know a little. Still, we managed just fine. It was amazing to be able to ride horses along the white sandy beach. There was a height restriction for horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, so my daughter couldn't participate there, but this tour was fine for ages six and up, so there was no problem. There was also a polo practice area, and it was fun to watch the polo practice.

I was worried about participating since I couldn't speak any English, but the explanations were clear and easy to understand thanks to the use of gestures, allowing for a smooth experience.

Traveling by bus would have taken quite a long time, so we took an Uber from Matsumoto Shave Ice on the North Shore.

The horseback riding lasted about an hour and a half, and there were two local guides for our group of two. They took nearly 50 photos and shared all of them with us for free via AirDrop.

Even as first-time riders, the horses followed the path perfectly. The scenery was beautiful, and it was truly amazing.

Horses, Beach views, and GOATS! This horseback riding trails is one to beat, The staff was super friendly and ready to strike up conversation, the horses are gorgeous and friendly and the view! Nothing beats looking at the shore while on a horse, but most importantly they have these goats that you know are up to no good haha. Definitely will remember the experience and most definitely will be back again when visiting the islands

Wonderful experience ever

I have 0 experience in riding horses, and this place just make my first horse ride amazing. Had little nerves before riding it, and soon I got on its back; I feel comfortable and relaxed. Horses are well trained and in good behavior all the time. The guild is friendly as well. She introduced lots of things along the trip and taking care of each of the riders if they need help.
Overall, if you are first time riding the horse, you don't need to worry about it, it's 100% safe, and you will get relaxed after a couple of mins.

My daughter said this was the highlight of her entire experience in Hawaii and we did so so many other things.! The guides were top notch. The place may look a little rustic at first. There are goats kind of roaming around lol but everything was extremely professional. we learned a lot about the horses and we got to go on the beach. they took a lot of time to take photos so that we could enjoy our memories.

Total blast - even with rain

This was a nice easy ride. Our group took a bit longer because we had so many horses stop for bathroom breaks - one stopped 3x!! The wranglers were awesome! We had Cole and Hannah (Montana). Although it was wet and windy we still got some great views of the ocean. I was lucky enough to ride Autograph who has been in movies and TV shows like Magnum PI & Hawaii Five-O. She was a great horse. We enjoyed the ride a lot and would definitely come back for the longer ride next time.

Lexi was the name of our tour guide and she was friendly, experienced, funny and really provided my husband and I, a quality trail ride through North Shore’s Paradise.

Lexi reminded me of my home town friends whom I rodeoed with since I was a kid. After talking with her, instantly we shared memories and stories of our childhoods and our love for horses. It was my husbands first time on a horse so it was so fun sharing my passion with him. We enjoyed the scenery and the horses we're great. We rode “Mo mo” and “Trapper”. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. I highly recommend Hawaii Polo Ocean Front Trail Rides to anyone who wants a few hours out on beautiful horses exploring the North Shore. Thank you for a fantastic ride and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed our ride and the horses. We saw a stunning Rainbow the colors were so vibrant and the rainbow looked as though it went straight into the ocean. Fun tour!

We did the 9am 1-hour horseback. This tour is a trail ride meant for beginners - which was perfect for me! Don't forget to wear long pants and wear closed-toed shoes. There isn't much shade on the trail so wear plenty of sunscreen and wear sunglasses.

If you do the ATV at Gunstock Ranch too, try to do the tours back-to-back. This tour booked out a few weeks in advance and I wasn't able to do the tours back-to-back. We did the 9am horseback, had some time to grab lunch in Haleiwa, then came back to the ranch for our 2pm ATV tour. If you do this, make sure you leave with plenty of time to allow for traffic. Traffic on the North Shore can be unpredictable and you can be caught in bumper to bumper traffic which might make you late for the tour.

Not what we expected

Ulike what the description read, there was no in the water. Also, at the end of the ride, we were not allowed to gallop with the horses. Granted, only 1 of us would be considered an advanced rider, but we picked this one solely because of those 2 factors. Very expensive for nothing more than a " Trail Ride " , that basically was along a portion of the beach that has very little public access. If you have never done anything like this before, it would probably make some great memories for you. I however have had Much Better Sunset Beach rides, that I still talk about to this day, this one on the other hand, wont be talked about gery much. Do your research, call ahead & ask questions before you book. Most times, it is the 1 & only shot at a first time, lasting memory

It is definitely better to rent a car and drive to the location and not take the bus lol.
