I visited Kualoa Ranch for the first time. I was satisfied with the two-hour horseback riding experience and the ample time spent there. However, I had a lot of concerns. First, there were no Japanese-speaking staff, and I wasn't quite sure how to use the locked lockers, so I ended up leaving my things in a regular storage area. Fortunately, I was wearing a jacket with zippered pockets, so I could at least keep my wallet safe. I was anxious because all the safety instructions for riding were in English, but the horses were well-behaved and not scary at all. I wish there had been signs and videos in Japanese. Well, it's my fault for not understanding English...

I was looking forward to seeing the movie filming locations, but there were none at all, and I just walked along the mountain paths. It's disappointing.

日本語の看板やビデオがあったらいいのになって思いました。
ま、英語が分からない私が悪いのですが…。

映画のロケ地を楽しみにしていましたが
全く無くてひたすら山道を歩きました。
残念です。

Playing in the sea at Angel's Beach. Unfortunately, when I went, the tide was not low, and it was quite deep. However, I enjoyed stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. The strong point here is that there are Japanese staff members and many staff who can understand Japanese. Since many of the tour participants are Japanese, I definitely recommend it if that makes you feel more comfortable.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and the live music on the boat created a fun and relaxing atmosphere on the way to our destination. The location was beautiful, and our children especially loved the snorkeling and paddle boarding activities.

Although we brought our own snorkeling gear, we were impressed that the tour provides everything you need—snorkeling masks, lifejackets, and more—which makes it incredibly convenient. You really don’t need to haul your own equipment.

This experience was truly the highlight of our trip. We highly recommend it for all ages—for reference, our children are 6 and 7 years old.

I watched my middle and high school sons do parasailing, bumper tubing, and banana boating. We traveled by boat from the meeting point to a relay station in the middle of the bay, where we observed them while they enjoyed bumper tubing and banana boating. While the kids played in the distance, the staff around us occasionally chatted with us in Japanese and English, which kept us entertained.

For parasailing, even though we were just spectators, we all put on life jackets and took a small boat to the parasailing boat. Without any mental preparation, we sped across the sea at high speed, with waves splashing on our faces. Despite feeling scared, we all laughed together as a family and had a great time.

There were photos from all three activities, so it cost about $90-100, but since there were many videos and pictures taken with a telephoto DSLR and a GoPro, I thought it was reasonable.

写真は3種目分ありましたので90-100ドルしましたが、望遠一眼レフやGoProを使っての動画や写真が沢山あったので、まあそんなものかなと思いました。

We only stood in shallow water. Even though I could have tolerated water up to my ankles, it was actually deep enough to submerge me to my chest, so it felt like I was dropped into the sea 😭 I wanted to walk on the sandy beach, and to be more specific, I wanted to sit on the beach and eat a hamburger 💧 Eating a hamburger on a crowded boat... 💧 I can't even remember if it was delicious because I was so concerned about my surroundings.

Since I was planning to head towards Kailua in the afternoon, I didn't arrange for a shuttle and used the city bus instead. I obtained a prepaid card called Holo Card, which is exclusive to city buses, before heading to the location. (At ABC, only one-day passes are sold, so it's better to purchase a rechargeable card at places like Seven-Eleven.) The city bus is used frequently during the trip, so it's preferable to get it on the first day. The bus arrived almost on time, but the air conditioning was strong, so a light jacket is necessary. The bus fare is quite reasonable at a daily maximum of $7.50 compared to other transportation options, making it recommended for those looking to save money. I feel that a taxi would cost around $50 to $60? In Hawaii, prices fluctuate significantly based on supply and demand. Route searches can be done easily with Google Maps. I also used an app called DaBus2, but it seemed a bit difficult to use.

At the location, a Japanese guide (a local) provided explanations in Japanese, and although it was somewhat broken, it was understandable. There were a few Japanese tourists as well, so I think it's manageable even if you don't understand everything. You need to bring a copy of the consent form in advance, but even if you forget, they have it prepared there, so you can just head to the location without worry.

The sandbar was deep enough that when an adult (170 cm) stood, the water came up to just above their chest. I think it would be fine if the sun is out, but it can be a bit chilly, so having a rash guard would be reassuring.

現地では日本語ガイド(現地の方)が日本語にて説明して下さり、カタコトではあったが十分理解可能。日本人観光客も何組かおり、分からなくてもなんとかなると思います。事前に同意書のコピーを持参する必要があるが、忘れても向こうで用意してあるので最悪そのまま現地に向かえば大丈夫です。
サンドバーは大人(170cm)が立つと胸から上が水面から出る程度の深さでした。日差しがあれば大丈夫だと思うが、やや肌寒いので、ラッシュガードがあれば安心。

This is my third cruise after nine years. The food hasn't changed much, but the portions are generous, and it includes two drinks, plus coffee at the end, which is more than enough. The shows were interactive, and everyone got involved, making it a lot of fun.

I had the opportunity to talk with the captain, who is fluent in Japanese and has a great sense of humor, making him very easy to talk to. He also pointed out great photo spots, and my middle school daughters were more excited about talking to the captain than anything else, even more than dinner.

I had an amazing experience that far exceeded my expectations. I was simply overwhelmed by the majestic nature, and it was definitely worth the experience. The staff who guided us were all very fun (I think it would be even more enjoyable if you understand English). Driving the buggy through the great outdoors was also fun, and the two hours flew by. It takes about an hour from Waikiki, so having transportation included is definitely more convenient.

I’m not good with the thrill of roller coasters, so I was honestly quite nervous before getting on. However, once I experienced it, there was almost no feeling of weightlessness or fear, and I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind!

Above all, the breathtaking views of Hawaii from the sky were truly amazing!

As others have mentioned, since there is some time spent on the boat, I think it’s a good idea for those who are prone to motion sickness to take some medicine beforehand.

I was really looking forward to the horseback riding experience. However, the horse assigned to me seemed to be in a bad mood from the start, and my bad feeling turned out to be true. I chose the Friday cruise to enjoy the fireworks in Honolulu from the ship. The quality of the food and drinks was surprisingly high for being on a boat, and the hula show on board was incredibly lively. The entire staff made it a fun cruise. It's definitely enjoyable for everyone, from children to the elderly.

This was my second time, following last year, and since I was familiar with the meeting place and the content, I enjoyed it as I expected. I went with my first grader, a second-year middle schooler, and my grandparents who are over 75, and I think it’s a suitable activity for both children and older adults. It seems that they group Japanese participants together. Last time was in the morning, so this time I chose a time just before noon when the scenery was nice, but the cobalt blue sea was still intimidating (150m). I participated in the 6:30 AM tour. I was more worried about seasickness than the sharks, as I had read in reviews that it could be severe. In the end, the boat and the cage did sway, but perhaps because it was morning, I managed to cope with the slight rocking. On the way back, I dozed off, but my child said they saw dolphins.

Regarding the number of sharks, I thought I wouldn't see many, but it seems there is a way to attract them, and we were able to see quite a few. The moment I first saw the silhouette glowing in fluorescent colors from the sunrise above the boat was the scariest, but since the sharks weren't charging at the cage, I was reasonably satisfied.

Additionally, I brought my own snorkeling set, as mentioned in the reviews. I also got to see the beautiful morning scenery of the North and saw plenty of sharks, so I was very satisfied with this experience.

鮫の量については、なんだかんだそんなに見られないかと思っていましたが、呼び寄せ方があるようでたくさん見ることができました。
先に船の上から朝日で蛍光色に浮かび上がるシルエットを見た時が1番怖さを感じたのですが、ゲージにガシガシ突進してくる鮫ではなかったので、程よく満足。
加えて、口コミにもあったのでシュノーケルセットは持ち込みました。
ノースの綺麗な朝の景色も見られ、鮫もたくさん見たのでこの1回で大満足です。
