I had a great time playing volleyball at the sandbar and seeing sea turtles! The snorkeling was a bit different from what I imagined, maybe because it rained the day before?! The staff member was very energetic and friendly, and she took a lot of wonderful photos for us, which was great! The hamburger we had on the boat was very delicious! But I put on the snorkel and set off. The corals and fish I saw for the first time were so beautiful... and just as I was getting used to it, it was over. We definitely enjoyed our two hours of sailing on the beautiful Makani Catamaran. It’s the best escape from the sweltering midday heat. All aboard! The enthusiastic riders strolled towards the stretched tarp fronting the 60 foot catamaran, as others filled the inner cabin, or sat on the open air benches. Not to worry, all views satisfied a person’s thirst for adventure. After a brief introduction of safety, expectations and friendly crew introductions the big white $2million dollar catamaran slowly glided out of Kewalo Basin towards the majestic deep blue Pacific Ocean, passing other harbored yachts, catamarans and various tourist boats. At the mouth of the basin local fishermen on the shores cast their lines, hoping for a fresh catch for dinner. Beyond the ocean horizon a large cargo boat cruised along at a seemingly slow pace, and by the time the catamaran set at 1/4 mile out in the ocean it had traveled parallel to Diamond Head.
We were entertained, watching the skillful rigging of the main sail and sailing effortlessly along the fringes of the island. Excitement stirred when two large sea turtle surfaced on the dark blue waters, appeasing our anticipation for marine life. Feeling the ocean air against our face, listening to the rippling sounds of ocean waves gently splashing against the hulls, watching sailboats skimming across the blue horizon, parasail riders bobbing in the air, and surfer zealots zigzagging across 4-6 foot waves on Point Panics - What more could we ask for?

Unfortunately, it rained on and off from the morning, but after we set sail, the weather cleared up a bit and we were able to enjoy the tour. The guide was full of energy, and while the customers seemed to struggle a bit to keep up with her enthusiasm (laughs), we appreciated her consideration for us with children.

Once we set sail, we started with turtle watching, but the turtles are smaller than dolphins and only come to the surface for a moment, so I wasn't able to see any swimming turtles. However, we were lucky to spot some turtles basking on the rocks, and I was able to take some good photos. The sandbar had decent tides that day, so the water depth was around my ankles to my calves. It was a strange feeling standing in a place far from land.

After taking photos, I stayed on the sandbar with my kindergarten-aged daughter while my husband and elementary school-aged child went snorkeling. The snorkeling group swam in a line with the guides, but the people in front weren't moving very quickly, causing quite a traffic jam for those in the back, leading to some bumping into each other. I understand that the swimming abilities of the participants played a role in this, but I wish we could have swum a bit more freely.

While the snorkeling was a bit disappointing, I think we had a fun and enjoyable tour overall. Thank you very much.

この日はあいにく朝から雨が降ったり止んだりでしたが、出航後は少し晴れてツアーを楽しむことができました。ガイドのお姉さんは元気いっぱいでそのテンションにお客さんが若干ついていけてない感じもありましたが（笑）子連れの私たちを気遣ってくれてありがたかったです。出航するとまずウミガメウォッチングですが、ウミガメはイルカより小さく水面に出るのが一瞬なので泳いでいるカメは私は見られませんでした。ですが運よく甲羅干し中のカメたちがいて、しっかりと写真に撮ることもできました。サンドバーは潮がそこそこいい日だったので水深は足首～ふくらはぎくらい。陸地から離れた場所に立っている不思議な感覚が味わえました。写真撮影後、私は幼稚園児の娘とサンドバーに残りましたが夫と小学生の子供はシュノーケルへ。シュノーケル組はガイドさんたちと一列になって泳ぐのですが、前の人たちがなかなか進まず後ろの方はかなり渋滞して、手足がぶつかったりと大変だったとのことです。参加者の泳力の問題もあるので仕方ないとは思いますが、もう少しフリーで泳げたらよかったなぁと思います。シュノーケルは少し残念でしたが、他は楽しくいいツアーに参加できたと思います。ありがとうございました。

We participated as a family with our 1-year-old and 4-year-old children. It was their first time cruising. Fortunately, they didn't get seasick and were very satisfied with the beautiful sea and delicious hamburgers. The water level at the sandbar was high that day, so the kids couldn't put their feet in (but it wasn't a problem since I was holding them). We also got to see sea turtles, and it was a fun experience that created great memories.

どうしても行きたかったサンドバー、予約いっぱいで諦めてましたが、直前にキャンセルが出たのか?出発直前までVELTRAさんを毎日チェックしていた甲斐がありました。

天気は朝は曇ってましたが、現地では晴れたのでメチャメチャ綺麗でした♪
最初、船から降りた時には海が深くて驚きました。身長１５８で、胸がすっぽり隠れるくらいまで浸かってしまいました。時期によって違うのでしょうが、身長の低い方は最初要注意です。でも少しだけ進むと歩けるようになり、海はやっぱり綺麗でした！！
そしてウミガメもいっぱい見れました。後半別の場所でシュノーケリングをするのですが、私たち夫婦は船上でみなさんの様子を見てましたが、シュノーケリングしてる方のかなり近くまでウミガメが泳いでました。
以下、箇条書きで覚えている事を記載するので、これから行く方の参考に少しでもなれば♪

・スマホの防水ケース（ABCストアで売ってる）をずっと使用してるとスマホの画面に「高温注意」という文字が出て使用不可になる！ずっと写真、動画撮っていたいですが、注意です。
・ランチの時は船内でバイキング形式で順番に取っていくので、かなり並びます。なので、海から早く上がった人は早めに並んだ方が◎。
・船上は風が強いので、ランチのプレートに乗せた色々（レタスとかスナックとか）飛ばされるので注意です。
・船内にもトイレがあるので安心です。が、水の流し方が一見分かりにくいです。便器の下にある大き目のレバー？みたいなのを押すと流れます。
・景色だけ楽しみたい方は、ずっと船上にもいれるので安心して参加できます。

全体的に大満足のツアーでした＾＾
またリピートしたいです！

I finally got to visit the long-awaited paradise of the sea! The weather was fairly good, and I was able to see sea turtles up close! After researching about the sandbar, I found that it's recommended to visit on days when the water depth is below zero meters at low tide, so I chose a perfect day to participate.

However! When I arrived, the water depth was around knee height. I couldn't encounter the sandbar floating in the sea.

The snorkeling afterwards was also not satisfactory in terms of visibility and the number of fish. According to a local lady, it was due to several days of heavy rain. I think those who want to enjoy snorkeling properly should arrange a separate opportunity to do so.

Although the sandbar and snorkeling did not meet my expectations, the guides on the boat were very kind and pleasant, making the tour itself enjoyable.

海から上がった後に暖かい飲み物がもらえたのもよかったですね。

とても気持ちよかったです。クルーもフレンドリーだし、またいろんな国の人が混じった甲板上も皆自然の美しさとアルコールでハイになりとてもいい雰囲気でした。
