We were picked up at the hotel at 7 AM and traveled by large bus to the pier. I was worried about the heavy rain in the mountains along the way, but fortunately, by the time we boarded the boat, the rain had stopped. It was cloudy, but the sun started to shine, which was great. As I had researched beforehand, the water was about knee-deep, and we couldn't see the sandbar. The snorkeling experience was serious, and the staff provided thorough instructions while we wore life jackets. The corals and fish were beautiful, but if the weather had been a bit better, they might have looked even more stunning. The experience is quite dependent on the weather. We opted for a morning-only tour, and that was sufficient.

Nice relaxing trip on the sailboat. You can walk around the boat, or even lay down on the mat. Sunset is nice if you are in to taking pictures.

Don't go for the appetizers: meatballs, chicken wings, and mix of crackers, just okay.

Lots of alcohol if you like to drink.

It was fully booked since I made a reservation for Friday night. I was worried if it would be too crowded. The sunset was hidden due to the clouds, but I was able to see the fireworks from the Hilton clearly.

The deck railing side was filled with people who boarded earlier, so I had to view from between them while sitting. The buffet tables are first-come, first-served, so if you board late, you won't get a good seat with a nice view. Since there is time until the fireworks, it might be a good idea to think about how to spend your time. The welcome drink was too sweet, and the alcoholic cocktails were just okay. Each person gets one lobster, so be careful not to overeat. It's a pretty standard buffet.

I couldn't see the sandbar on the beach, but I had a great time playing in the beautiful sea!!! I was very satisfied to see sea turtles. However, I thought I would be able to snorkel with the sea turtles, but it was just from the boat.

On the day we went, the water was up to our knees, and there were some complaints. It seems that the relaxing setup with chairs, as seen on TV, is quite rare. After the photo session at the sandbar (the staff takes the pictures), we went snorkeling.

We walked to the point where the sandbar suddenly gets deep, which took about 5 to 10 minutes. I got stung by a jellyfish during that time. The staff had warned us to be careful. The jellyfish were small, so it was quite difficult to spot them if you weren't paying attention.

A tip to avoid getting stung by jellyfish: don't walk at the front! I was at the front and got stung. It hurts quite a bit; it's a prickly pain, and since jellyfish tentacles are long, the pain can be quite widespread. After being stung, it turns into a small bump, and the mark lasts for a few days. シュノーケリングはサンドバーの急に深くなるポイントまで歩きます。５～10分程度です。
私はその時にくらげに刺されました。スタッフの人も注意を促してましたが。小さいクラゲですので、よほど注意していないと見つけるのは困難です。
クラゲに刺されないコツ！　先頭を歩かない！先頭を泳がない！私は先頭を歩いていて刺されました。
さされると、結構痛いですね。チクチクした痛みですが、クラゲの足が長いので、結構広範囲に痛いです。さされた後は小さいイボになり、数日は後が残ります。子供だと掻いてしまったり、少し大変かも知れません。お気をつけ下さい。
シュノーケリングはたくさんの人が参加するので。濁っていてよく見えません。スタッフの人がパン？を与えて魚を寄せていました。
終わったらチップをお願いされます。強要はされないので、入れない人も結構いました。
スタッフの方は明るくてよい感じでした。

The view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach from the boat was very beautiful. As the boat moved, the shape of Diamond Head changed, allowing us to see various perspectives of it. There were only about 15 participants that day, so we were able to relax comfortably. It was the best experience to enjoy sparkling wine while feeling the pleasant sea breeze!

This time, it may have been a coincidence, but the guide was a Japanese resident of Hawaii or someone of mixed Japanese heritage, so communication in Japanese was naturally easy. I felt very comfortable enjoying the experience with information and casual conversations unique to living in Hawaii. Since all the staff were mothers, it was also reassuring for those with children, and there were many pleasant moments thanks to their thoughtful care. I was imagining more sandy beaches, but the sea was beautiful, the weather was nice, and the young staff members were energetic and provided enjoyable explanations, which was great. I also enjoyed the freshly grilled hamburgers.

We happened to attend on the one day it rained. luckily we weren't in the boat during heavy rain but it meant we could see the lovely island view from the boat due to the clouds and had to return slightly early. That said though, the crew was wonderfully and I still had a great time out on the water.

The sandbar was only waist-deep, which was disappointing.
But I was able to see both turtles and manta rays!
The bus guide was cheerful, and it was a very enjoyable tour.
I would like to participate again when I come back.
I hope to see the sandbar properly next time, though. (^^;)

サンドバーは腰までの位置だったので残念。
でもカメもマンタも見れました！
バスのガイドさんも陽気な人で、とても楽しいツアーでした。
また来たときは参加したいです。
出来ればちゃんとサンドバーが見たいですが(^^;)
