The staff were kind and entertaining. I had a great time until the end. The weather was nice, and when the staff said "look ahead" during snorkeling, I saw a big honu right in front of me. I would like to participate again.

This excursion was excellent! The crew was phenomenal, the stops made were so much fun and the lunch was great. A fun time was had by all! I would highly recommend!

From the beginning the crew made us feel completely comfortable. The trip out to the sandbar was relaxing yet exciting at the same time as we looked back upon the shoreline admiring the greenery that the island presented. The sandbar was just breathtaking!!! It was so amazing to think that we were standing in the ocean on a beach....crazy! The cruise around afterwards presented not only some sea turtles, but two large schools of manta rays feeding on the surface.
Overall trip was completely enjoyable and we plan on bringing all of our friends and family when they visit!!!!
On a side note, parking is extremely difficult in/on the marina, so just park on the side of the highway (everyone does) and it's just a short walk to the boat.
Make this one of your excursions when you visit!!!!!

The team at Captain Bruce were very nice and accommodating and made it an overall really nice experience. This sandbar cruise was me and my boyfriend's favorite activity that we did during our visit. I liked that there was an option for transportation, so that made it easy to get to and from the destination without having to worry about directions and parking. Our driver was friendly as well and pointed out different local sights in different languages so that everyone could understand as well. There were many different groups of people and the crew made it comfortable for everybody to feel included. They provided drinks and snacks, and on the boat ride to the sandbar they gave some educational facts about the area and we saw turtles and other wildlife as well. When we got the the sandbar, there were plenty of paddleboards and floaties for us to use and we had more than enough time to enjoy the water. We got lots of pictures, had fun in the water and the views were great. I could tell that the others also had a fun time snorkeling too. On the way back, our driver even stopped for us to get some dessert as well. This would be an enjoyable experience for anybody, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family as well.

The hotel provided transportation, the weather was great, and there was a Japanese guide, which made me feel safe and it was the best experience. The beauty of the ocean was incredible, and I was able to see several sea turtles. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!!

I was very satisfied. The morning plan was fully booked, so I went in the afternoon, but since the hotel pickup time was at 10:45, I had plenty of time to prepare. The briefing before departure was initially done in English by the local staff, and then they switched to a very fluent Osaka dialect, which was amusing. All the crew members were women, very kind, and eager to show us the sea turtles. It was reassuring that there was a crew member who could speak Japanese. I was able to enjoy as much SUP and snorkeling as I wanted. The sea was beautiful. On the way back, the bus stopped at Leonard's, and I was able to buy malasadas.

午前プランがいっぱいで午後になりましたが、ホテルピックアップ時間が1045なので余裕で準備ができました。
出航前の説明は現地スタッフが最初は英語で、その後コテコテの流暢な大阪弁でしてくれてkウケていました。
クルーは全員女性でとても親切でウミガメを見せてあげようと熱心でした。日本語のできるクルーがいるので安心でした。SUPもシュノーケリングも好きなだけできました。海はきれいです。
帰りのバスはレナーズに寄ってくれてマラサダを買うことが出来ました。

I think it would have been perfect if the weather had been clear. It was cloudy and cold. The program and staff were very good. The hamburger was delicious, and the staff were kind. I was excited to play volleyball at the sandbar and to see the largest honu I've ever encountered while snorkeling. If I have the opportunity next time, I would like to use this cruise again.

晴れていれば最高だったと思います。曇っていて寒かった。プログラムとスタッフはとても良かった。ハンバーガーも美味しかったし、スタッフも親切でした。サンドバーでバレーボールをして、シュノーケルでは今までで一番大きいホヌに会えて興奮しました。次回機会があれば、またこちらのクルーズを利用したいと思います。

The activity exceeded our expectations!
The crew did a get job explaining the rules, what to expect, and why. I felt safe and they included everybody and were interactive, very friendly and personable. This was my first time snorkeling, so I was a little nervous, but they put me at ease. It was truly amazing —-we got to see the giant sea turtles!!!
I also saw at least seven or eight different fish along the reef. And I even was swimming with beautiful school of fish below me!
I like the fact that they introduced us at the sandbar and let us get warmed up to snorkeling, and we had a game of volleyball before we went to the reef. They grilled hamburgers and had barbecued beans, and it was a delicious lunch!
all in all it was a great day, and a memory I will always cherish. I highly recommend this activity and tour to anybody going to Hawaii.

The pickup was smooth, and there was a Japanese guide, which was great. The light snack service on the boat was also very satisfying. Once we arrived at the sandbar, we split into groups for those who wanted to play first and those who wanted to snorkel. We were allowed to snorkel to our heart's content. We encountered many sea turtles and saw a lot of colorful tropical fish, which was wonderful.

After snorkeling, there were rentals for SUP and floaties, allowing us to play on the sandbar. The strong winds made it a bit challenging as we were easily swept away, but there was also a fun way to enjoy being carried by the wind.

This is not the provider's fault at all, but there was someone in our group who had poor snorkeling manners, splashing water everywhere, and when I accidentally got too close, they would hit or kick me. Even when staff warned them while they were on the SUP, they completely ignored it and drifted to places they shouldn't have gone, which was unpleasant. Therefore, I will rate this experience as "good."

ピックアップもスムーズで日本語のガイドもあり、船上での軽食サービスも大変満足いくものでした。
サンドバーについたら先に遊ぶ組と先にシュノーケル組に分かれるのですが、シュノーケルは満足いくまでやらせてもらえます。ウミガメにもたくさん出会えたし、カラフルな熱帯魚もたくさんいてとても良かったです。
シュノーケルを終えるとSUPや浮き輪などの貸し出しがあり、サンドバー上で遊べます。風が強くて流されやすかったのが少し大変でしたが風上からわざと流される楽しみ方もあります。
これは全く体験提供者の責任ではないのですが、一緒のグループになった人の中にシュノーケル中のマナーが悪くバシャバシャと水しぶきをたてたり、うっかり近づくと叩かれる・蹴られる、SUPに乗ってはスタッフに注意されても一切耳を貸さずに行ってはいけないところまで流れていくという人がいたのが不快だったので評価は「よかった」にさせていただきます。

I participated with my elderly mother. She can't swim, so I thought she would just splash around in the water up to her knees, but when we arrived, the water was over her waist. I wondered if she would be okay, but she put on a life jacket, held onto a kickboard, and with the help of a Japanese staff member, she was taken to the snorkeling spot where she was able to see sea turtles underwater!

Later, while I was doing SUP, she said she wanted to try it too. Although she lost her balance and fell into the sea, she wasn't scared because she was wearing a life jacket. It was her first time falling in at 76 years old. Looking at the photos, she has such a joyful smile, and I truly felt it was worth bringing her along. The staff were very kind and helpful. Thank you very much!

高齢の母を連れて参加しました。
母は泳げないので、膝くらいまでの海でパシャパシャやるくらいのつもりでいましたが、いざ着いてみると水は腰以上。
大丈夫かな？と思いましたがライフジャケットを着て、ビート板みたいなのに掴まり、日本語スタッフの方に付いてもらってシュノーケリングスポットまで連れて行ってもらい、水中の海ガメまで見ることができました！
その後も私がSUPをやっていたら、それやりたい！と言って挑戦。バランス崩して海に落ちるも、ライフジャケットを着ていたので怖くなかったそうです。76歳初ドボンです。
写真を見るととても楽しそうな笑顔で、本当に連れて行ってよかったと思いました。親切なスタッフたち様々です(^^)ありがとうございました。

Secret Island is a very special place for our family. my daughter got a wedding in Moli'i garden and secret island during Covid.
we have a wonderful memory of her wedding with our closed family and friends only under 20 people.
it was a magical experience,so we had been always talking how we can go back to the island.
and we finally planned a family trip to Hawaii this spring, and we have been searched many different websites which offers a tour to the secret island.

this website did not have many reviews compared to other major travel websites, but their prices were the best so we decided to give it a shot.

and the decision was the best!
the reservation process, confirmation, instructions and everything was GREAT!
it was a little bit of cold and rainy day so we were the only group going to the island that day. we basically rented the entire island to ourselves.

I make a reservation every time I come to Hawaii. Especially while waiting for the sunset, enjoying my favorite sparkling wine, Hawaiian beer, and cocktails is the best.

We enjoyed our half-day experience. As tourists, the Secret Island experience was nice because it satisfied my desire to do kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach was nice for young kids because they had supplies to build sand-castles, however that is the most of what my young children really enjoyed. In retrospect, most of the activities there would be best for older children and teenagers to really enjoy. For families with younger children, it may be best to buy some sand toys and head to a local beach.

The staffs are very nice and professional. I booked the snorkeling + transportation package.

The driver Kaplan is so nice, he will introduce many hidden gem restaurants in Honolulu, and I tried the Yakitori restaurant right away after I finished the tour, the food is so good! Thanks to Kaplan.

For snorkeling, the staff will guide you when you are snorkeling all the time, for them safety is the priority. Also, they will provide some rice balls, energy bars, snacks, hot coffee, and fruits in the boat. You can always go by boat when you are tired.

Strongly recommendended!

It was unfortunately a cloudy day.
The water was warmer.
I think the limited time and location for snorkeling is for safety reasons, but I wish I could have enjoyed it a bit more.
I was able to see a large turtle resting among the coral.
I want to visit this place again on a sunny day.

珊瑚の中で休憩している大きな亀さんも眺める事ができました。

The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly! Lunch was delicious. Fun to meet other people from all over.

I'm a repeat visitor, and perhaps because there were few Japanese people, I had trouble with the explanations in English. However, there was a staff member who understood Japanese, which was a great help. I was sad that I couldn't see the honu like before, but I was treated kindly.

I was looking forward to the heavenly sea, but unfortunately, it was rainy and a bit chilly, which was disappointing. However, the staff were friendly, and even though the water was murky, it was fun to dive and see the fish. I want to try again on a sunny day.

I participated with my fifth-grade child during Golden Week. The weather was nice, and we could see beautiful sandbars. There were many sea turtles while snorkeling. They provided a buoyant life jacket, so my child was able to snorkel comfortably. The explanations were in Japanese, which was reassuring.

GWに小学5年の子供を連れて参加。天気も良く、綺麗なサンドバーが見られました。シュノーケルでは、ウミガメがたくさんいました。よく浮くライフジャケットを貸してくれたので子供も楽にシュノーケル出来ました。日本語で説明があり、安心でした。

I wasn't very confident in my English and had some worries, but the guides were all friendly and made everything so enjoyable that it turned into the best trip to Hawaii! The nature was beautiful, and they recommended activities that matched my level (in terms of language and physical ability), so I truly want to visit again the next time I go to Hawaii!

I had a great time, so I don't have any regrets, but honestly, my overall experience didn't quite meet my expectations.

■ Weather, Timing, and Temperature
It was a sunny day in early April, but the wind was incredibly strong and cold. My hat without a chin strap flew away, and I had to give up eating my hamburger on deck because the vegetables kept blowing away. There were people in bikinis, but the sunlight was stronger than a typical summer day in Japan, so I think wearing a long-sleeve rash guard and long leggings while swimming is a safer choice. After getting out of the water, it was essential to have a long-sleeve cover-up or a large bath towel to wrap around me. It was just so cold.

■ About the Sandbar
I checked the tide chart and confirmed it was low tide before participating. However, the water was still up to my ankles, so it felt more like a shallow area than an island. The boat stopped in water about thigh-deep, and everyone was saying, "It's so cold!" as they disembarked. The shallow areas were warmed by the sun and felt somewhat like a hot spring, but it was still too cold for many to swim. The beach volleyball set up by the staff was somewhat lively, but it seemed difficult to play because of the wind. There might not have been any Japanese participants. It was nice to take photos against the backdrop of the majestic mountains and scenery like Kualoa. However, it's worth noting that the strong sea breeze made it impossible to expect a reflection of the sky like in the Salar de Uyuni. The sandbar is made up of broken coral, and while it was enjoyable to look at the coral fragments scattered around, walking barefoot was painful (the local staff were barefoot, but I couldn't imitate them). There was a warning that many people drop their accessories, so it's better not to wear them at all. I brought an underwater camera, but I felt that a smartphone in a waterproof case was sufficient for the sandbar. Personally, I preferred the "Phantom Island" tour in Ishigaki Island, which, although domestic, had a similar atmosphere and was an actual "island" without the cold.

■ Turtle Watching from the Boat
You can watch turtles taking breaths in the shallow coral reefs from the boat. There were quite a few, and they came close to the boat, allowing for good photos with a smartphone. The turtles were adorable as they opened their mouths to breathe.

■ BBQ on the Boat
You can enjoy hamburgers grilled on the boat. The well-cooked patties were crispy and delicious. There were also side dishes like boiled beans and fruits. Two types of small chips (Doritos and Lay's) were provided, and I took a bag home as a souvenir, which was appreciated. However, as mentioned earlier, it was challenging to eat on the deck due to the strong wind.

■ Snorkeling
Snorkeling takes place in the shallow areas around the coral reefs. You can choose from three types of equipment: life jackets, fins, and floats, depending on your skill level. For those who are not confident in swimming, having all three options is reassuring. I felt that a life jacket was essential for warmth as well. Once the boat is anchored, a staircase to the sea is lowered in the middle of the deck, so you can get into the water immediately. It was announced that those confident in swimming could jump in from another spot, but no one attempted it. Once in the water, I surprisingly got used to the cold, but my hands and feet started to feel numb from being in the water for too long, and it was still cold. It was said that turtles sometimes hide in the gaps of the coral, but unfortunately, I didn't encounter any that day. There were a fair number of tropical fish, but it felt a bit lacking. By the way, if you save some of the buns from the BBQ or bring back leftovers, the tropical fish will come to eat them, which I recommend. It took a fair amount of time to get everyone suited up and into the water, which might have contributed to the snorkeling time feeling a bit short. It was al

楽しかったので後悔はありませんが、全体を通して期待以上ではなかったなぁというのが正直な感想です。

■天候・時期・気温
　4月上旬の晴れの日でしたが、風がとんでもなく強くて寒かったです。あごひものない帽子はとんでいく、ハンバーガーは野菜が吹き飛ばされるので甲板で食べるのは諦めたほどです。
　ビキニの方もいましたが、日差しは日本の真夏以上に強いので、泳ぐときも長袖ラッシュガード長丈のレギンスが無難かなぁと思います。
　また水からあがったあとは上から羽織れる長袖や毛布代わりになる大きなバスタオルは必須でした。とにかく寒いです。

■サンドバーについて
　潮見表で干潮であることを確認して参加しました。
しかしくるぶしまでは水あったので、やはり島というよりは浅瀬ですね。
　船は太もも丈くらいの水深に止まるので、みんな冷た～い！といいながら上陸していました。
　浅瀬は日で暖められて温泉っぽくなっている部分もありますが、後が寒いのであまり泳ぐ方はいませんでした。
　スタッフさんが設置してくれるビーチバレーはそこそこ盛り上がっていましたが、やはり風で流されるのでやりにくそうでした。日本人は参加していなかったかも。
　クアロアなど雄大な山や風景を背に写真を撮れるのでそれは開放的で良かったです。ちなみに当たり前ですが海風が激しいのでウユニ塩湖のような空が写る水面は全く期待できません。
　サンドバーは珊瑚がくだけてできた洲で、珊瑚のかけらがたくさん落ちており眺めるのは楽しいですが、裸足で歩くのは痛いです(現地のスタッフさんはバリバリ裸足でしたが真似はできませんでした(^-^;))。
　アクセサリーを落とす人が多いと案内があったので、そもそも身につけないほうがよいでしょう。
　水中カメラを持っていきましたが、サンドバーに関しては防水カバーにいれたスマホで十分間に合ったなと感じました。
　個人的には石垣島の幻の島ツアーの方が国内だけど似た雰囲気でちゃんと“島”だし寒くなかったので、そちらの方が好きでした。

■船上からのウミガメウォッチング
　珊瑚礁の浅瀬で息継ぎをするウミガメを船上から眺められます。結構な数が見られ、船のすぐ近くにも来てくれてスマホでも十分写真が取れました。
　カプッと口をあけて息継ぎするウミガメはかわいかったです。

■船上BBQ
　船の上で焼いたハンバーガーを食べることができます。しっかり焼かれたハンバーグはカリッと香ばしくておいしかったです。サイドメニューに煮豆や果物などもありました。小さいサイズのチップスも2種類用意してあり(Doritosとレイズでした)一袋はお土産に持ち帰りました。ありがたかったです。
　ただ、前述の通り風が強くて甲板では食べるのはハードモードでした。

■シュノーケリング
　珊瑚礁の塊の周りの浅瀬でシュノーケリングです。
ライフジャケット、足ヒレ、フロート(棒状の浮き)の
3種類を個人の技量にあわせて選べます。泳ぎに自信のない方は3種類ある方が安心でしょう。
　私は寒さ対策的な意味でもライフジャケット必須だと感じました。
　珊瑚礁に船が固定されると甲板の真ん中に海への階段が降ろされるので、降りたら即海です。自信のある方は別の場所から飛び込んでもいいと案内がありましたが誰もチャレンジはしていませんでした笑
　入ってしまえば案外寒さには慣れましたが、長く水に浸かっている手足がかじかんでくる感覚がありやはり寒かったです。
　珊瑚礁の隙間にウミガメが隠れていることがあるとのことでしたが、この日は残念ながら出会えませんでした。熱帯魚はそれなりにいましたがちょっと物足りなかったです。
　ちなみにBBQの時のバンズを残しておくか、あまりがあれば少しもらってくると熱帯魚が食べに来るのでおすすめです。
　装備を着用して順番に海におりるまでそれなりの時間がかかるためシュノーケリングの時間が少し短かったのも物足りない要因のひとつだったかなと思います。狭いエリアに人が密集するので泳ぎにくさも感じました。
　シュノーケリング後に暖かいコーヒーや紅茶を出してもらえてありがたかったです。

■その他全体
　送迎バスは現地の方のようで、名簿の名前を呼ばれる以外は日本語の説明はありません。
　船上では日本語のスタッフさんがついてくれて、しっかりと説明をしてくれるので安心でした。最初に英語の人は甲板に、日本語の人は船内に、といったように場所移動をアナウンスしてくれるので遠すぎて聞き取れないといったこともないので安心です。
　映画のロケ地などの説明もしてくださって楽しかったです。
　BBQも含め、スタッフの方のサービスレベルはかなり高いと思います。

Although it was rainy at Kualoa, the weather here was great, and the staff were wonderful too. We were able to see many sea turtles, and I'm grateful to the staff.

We had a fabulous time. We got wet, laughed, saw a beautiful sunset & back in time to see the fireworks. The crew was excellent. Highly recommend them!!!

During snorkeling, I was able to see a sea turtle. I regretted not having a waterproof case for my smartphone to capture the moment, but it was truly moving to see it up close.

Although the number of stand-up paddleboards was limited, the staff was considerate and checked in with those using them for a long time. I felt it was great how they ensured everyone could enjoy themselves!

It seems that the sandbar doesn't appear depending on the tide, so I recommend checking the low tide times in advance before making a reservation.

これぞハワイというイメージ通りで素敵な時間を過ごすことが出来ました！

シュノーケリングではウミガメを見ることが出来ました。
スマホの防水ケースを持っていれば撮影できたのに...と少し後悔しましたが、間近に見ることができてとても感動的でした。
サップの数も限られていましたが、スタッフの方が気を利かせて長時間使用している方に声掛けしてくれました。全員が楽しめるよう配慮されていて、素晴らしいと感じました！

潮位によってはサンドバーは出ないらしいので、干潮の時間を予め調べたうえで予約することをお勧めします。

This cruise was amazing, the whole crew were very nice and patient, the sandbar is incredible. I was traveling with my whole family: a toddler and elderly people and they all enjoyed it, fully recommend it!!

I participated with my daughter! The Japanese staff provided explanations, which made us feel at ease. We also took a lot of photos! The lunch included delicious hamburgers.

We were able to see sea turtles, and the sandbar was very beautiful! My 10-year-old daughter had her first snorkeling experience, and she had no problems at all. She was amazed to see so many fish during her first snorkeling adventure!

One downside was that it was quite windy, and we felt a bit cold. If you participate, it might be a good idea to bring an extra towel or jacket just in case.
