It was a cloudy day during the rainy season, but I was able to enjoy it without any downpours. I was amazed when a sandbar suddenly appeared from a depth of 10 meters! I didn't bring reef shoes, so I walked barefoot, which was a bit painful on the soles of my feet (laughs). During snorkeling, I was really happy to see beautiful fish and sea turtles up close! I want to visit Hawaii during the best season next time!

We were guided to our seats in the order we lined up. It was definitely worth getting seats in the front. The golden seats allowed us to choose where to sit at a round table with a white tablecloth, so we secured a spot where we could easily see the stage. Since the actual show starts after the meal, I realized later that we could have chosen a closer table, as we could just turn our chairs around even if we were facing away from the stage.

The weather in Hawaii in January was not great. This time, there was light rain from the morning, it was a bit chilly, and the wind was quite strong, which made me worry. The weather was cloudy and bad, which might be why the boat was rocking so much that even I, who usually doesn't get seasick, felt like I was going to die from seasickness. As soon as I confirmed that the boat was small, I took motion sickness medication, but it didn't help at all. It was no time to be worried about sharks. We were in a cage to see the sharks, but the waves were strong, and the cage was shaking so much that I hit my head multiple times. My husband said it felt like being put in a washing machine. There were quite a few large sharks swimming around. I think it would have been fun if we had gone on a day when the waves were calmer.

I made a reservation for the 8:00 AM flight and was scheduled to be picked up at the entrance of the hotel at 6:55. The pickup bus arrived around 6:58, and I handed my voucher to the friendly driver and boarded. We then picked up other guests who had also booked the same flight and headed to the helicopter landing area near the airport.

After arriving, we waited about 20 minutes for the helicopter to be prepared, but there were beautiful views of the ocean from the waiting area and various exhibits inside, so I didn't feel too bored. Finally, we boarded the helicopter and set off on our aerial adventure, which was incredibly fun! I was seated in the front row, center seat, but it felt a bit cramped. To my left was the pilot, and to my right was a woman, so our shoulders were constantly touching. One thing that bothered me was that my seat didn't have a proper handhold, so I had to awkwardly place my hands on the cushion of the seat.

全体的には50分ほどかけてオアフ島の東側半分をぐるっと回りました。上空からの景色は本当に綺麗で、特にクアロアランチ近辺の切り立った山々の谷などをヘリコプターの高い視点から見下ろせたのは圧巻でした。
ツアーが終わると機内の様子やヘリからの景色を撮影した50分ほどのビデオをUSBに入れた状態で買うか聞かれます。

At 5:30, we were picked up by two vans that can hold 15 people each. The driver was a female who spoke English, and I had read reviews saying that the moment you write the waiver in the car is when you feel the most nauseous, so I quickly checked off the necessary items and barely watched the explanation video.

We arrived at the skydiving site in an hour, and first, we were taken to a classroom where we submitted our waivers, passports, and vouchers. The person in charge was an elderly Japanese man in his 80s, and I immediately recognized him as the one mentioned in reviews for having a rude attitude. In early December, I participated in a tour recommended by a colleague with my family of seven across three generations. We enjoyed the popular malasadas from Hawaii on the boat and headed offshore in less than seven minutes. The weather wasn't great, and the water was cold, reaching up to my waist, but I was amazed by the number of sea turtles. They approached us without fear. The tour guide was also very friendly. My 84-year-old and 82-year-old in-laws were thrilled and having a great time. The buffet-style BBQ lunch was delicious, and we went back for seconds. There was a little incident at the end, but I was grateful for the tour guide's quick response. This was a tour I would love to join again when I come back to Hawaii. Don't expect a giant whale to appear right in front of you. We were picked up at the Ko Olina Marriott with about ten others and headed to Waianae Harbor. There were already some participants lined up, probably around 40 to 50 people, and I think we were the only two Japanese. Unfortunately, I could only understand about 80% of the guide's explanations, but I got the gist of it.

We enjoyed a large catamaran yacht cruising at engine speed. Since it was a yacht, we were close to the water, and although the weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, we had a great time cruising. Once we got offshore, we encountered a small whale that spouted water a few hundred meters away. We saw it several times, and each time there were cheers. I think the sight of a giant tail appearing right in front of us is just a picture from the brochure.

After that, the boat headed to the dolphin area. The dolphins swim in groups and are very curious, coming close to the boat, so we could see them well. However, I had previously participated in a dolphin watching cruise from the same harbor in the summer, and I felt that the dolphins were more energetic and jumping around at that time.

The nearly two-hour cruise included all-you-can-eat rice crackers that looked like persimmon seeds and one drink (including alcohol) for just under $100. I thought it was a bit pricey, but my wife was very impressed. Besides encountering whales and dolphins, she also enjoyed the scenery and the cruising itself.

We were also taken back to the Ko Olina Marriott afterward. Additionally, you have to take off your shoes when boarding, and it's barefoot inside the boat. You just throw your shoes into a container box on the dock, so if you're concerned about that, it might be a good idea to bring a plastic bag or something to carry them inside. We didn't mind since we were wearing flip-flops and sneakers, but my wife found it a bit troublesome to take off her socks.

大型のカタマランヨットを機走（エンジンで進む）で楽しみます。ヨットなので海面も近く、参加日は曇り時々晴れでしたがクルージングも楽しめました。沖合に出ると数百メータ先に「プシュッ！」と潮を吹いて泳ぐ小さなクジラに遭遇しました。何度か出くわしますが、そのたびに歓声が上がります。目の前を巨大な尾びれが現れて・・というのはパンフレットの写真だけだと思います。
その後、イルカのエリアにも船は向ってくれました。イルカは群れを成すし好奇心豊かで船にも近づくのでよく見えます。ただ同じハーバーから以前夏にイルカウォッチングクルーズに参加したことがあるのですが、その時のほうがジャンプしたりイルカも元気だったような気がします。
2時間近くのクルーズで、柿の種みたいなあられ(食べ放題？）とワンドリンク（アルコールもあり）で$100弱。ちょっと高いかななんて思ったのですが、カミさんはとても感激。クジラやイルカの遭遇以外にも景色やクルージング自体も楽しかったようです。
帰りもコオリナマリオットまで送ってもらえました。
あと、乗船時に靴を脱ぎ船内は裸足です、脱いだ靴類は桟橋のコンテナボックスに投げ入れるだけなので気になる人はビニール袋等持参して船内に持ち込むのも一考かもしれません。我々はビーサンとスニーカーだったので気にしませんでしたが、カミさんが靴下脱いだり面倒くさがっていました。

This time, I participated with my 6-year-old son, and he decided not to go snorkeling. I thought I would have to skip snorkeling too to stay with him, but the tour staff member kindly said, "Don't worry, I'll look after your son. You and your partner can go ahead!" My son ended up having lunch on the boat and playing around it. I really appreciated that! We also got to experience stand-up paddleboarding, which was incredibly fun. On the day of the event, it started pouring rain in the afternoon, and we headed there with the mindset of possibly canceling. Fortunately, by the time we arrived, the rain had stopped, and we were able to proceed as planned. However, the horse I rode seemed to have been out in the rain, as both the saddle and the horse were wet, and the moment I sat down, my backside and the inside of my pants got wet. People on other tours, like the buggies, who had set out in the rain were all wearing raincoats. I’m not sure if the rentals were free or charged.

As mentioned in other experiences, the horses were very well-trained, and I was able to enjoy the ride without any worries, even as a first-timer. The female guide was very pleasant and attentive, ensuring we moved smoothly even when one of the horses started eating grass along the way. The scenery was truly wonderful, and the two hours flew by. I kept my smartphone in my pants pocket and took pictures with one hand, so be careful not to drop it.

Perhaps because it had just stopped raining, the greenery was vibrant, and the scent of the trees felt rich. My whole family was satisfied, and they expressed gratitude for making the reservation. We created great memories.

当日は昼過ぎから土砂降りになり、キャンセル覚悟でレンタカーで向かいました。
到着する頃にうまく雨が上がり予定通りに実施できました。
ただ私が乗った馬は雨の中を回っていたようで、鞍と馬体が濡れていて、座った瞬間におしりとズボンの内側が濡れてしまいました。
バギーなど他のツアーで雨の中出発したらしい人達は、皆レインコートを着用していました。
貸し出しは無料か有料か…わかりません。

体験談の通り馬達はとても慣れていて、初めてでも心配なく楽しめました。
ガイドの女性も大変感じが良く、前に後ろにと気遣いしてくれ、途中で草を食べ始めてしまう馬がいても混乱なく進むことができました。
景色は本当に素晴らしく、2時間もあっという間でした。
スマホをズボンのポケットに入れておき、片手で写真を撮ります。落とさないよう気を付けてください。

雨が上がってすぐだったせいかもしれませんが、緑が濃く木々の匂いも深く感じました。
家族全員で満足し、予約したことを感謝されました。
いい思い出ができました。

It was almost set up like a theme park where there were various places and activities to be apart of. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. I got seasick on the boat to the submarine. I'm prone to motion sickness, so I prepared by bringing a bag for vomiting, but I ended up not needing it.
