Tasty buffet dinner! The food was DELICIOUS. I really liked the variety of food - and dessert options! While I'm not vegetarian, I did notice there were a few vegetarian options - including the fried rice (my favorite). There was some hula dancing for the first part of the dinner and we could join in for hula lessons. I liked that this was an outdoor dinner BUT there was a covered tent above us in case of any rain.

And, it did end up raining. Lucky for us, the covered tent kept us nice and dry. Then, we headed inside to the indoor theater where we saw the Vegas-style impersonators for Elvis, Michael Jackson, and a local performer.

Very touristy and packed. Must do ONE time experience

Go on a Friday to catch the Friday night fireworks sponsored by Hilton Hawaiian Village. Usually after dinner is done, and while the performers entertain, guests usually hangout by the side rail outside the dining area, or at the top deck to get good seating/viewing spots until the fireworks. Otherwise, food was mediocre good (we had the crab, steak, and mashed potatoes deal) and complimentary Mai Tai was too sweet with little to no alcohol. Dessert was brought out while guests were in the deck plates. It was between the boat cruise or a luau....we should've tried the luau.

Me and my girlfriend went to the star of Honolulu cruise dinner the last night on the island where everything changed, Captain Stephens can’t thank you enough for the honor of having him help me out with the proposal on the back of the ship on the top deck record our precious moments of now being engaged to the love of my life! Great food and great service all around amazing place, will definitely come join the crew again!

This time, we participated with five family members, three from my sister's family, and five from a friend's family. Previously, I saw the hula at the Polynesian Cultural Center, but the food was mediocre and it was far away, so this time, being able to walk there during our stay at Aulani was very appealing.

I applied for either front or box seats, but we ended up in the back box seats. With the cheaper seats, photos were an additional charge, and it was buffet style. However, with the package that included photos and served meals, we received coupons for $20 for adults and $19 for children, which allowed us to buy drinks and souvenirs. It was very helpful to have things brought to us, especially with kids.

Before the show started, we had a great time taking photos, making leis, and the dancers even painted Polynesian tattoos on our arms. The food started with a salad, which had about three different kinds and was delicious. The portions were huge! Next came pork, chicken, and fish, all served with rice, and everything was tasty.

After the meal, we enjoyed the dance show! The hula and fire dance captivated the children, and when it got dark, the stars were truly beautiful. I really felt it was worth coming.

Since it's in Ko Olina, I think it's far from Waikiki, but considering the food and service, I believe it was worth the trip.

I was surprised by Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. They really looked alike. The hula dance and fire performance were impressive, and I enjoyed a genuine American show.
The food was not great. The meat was tough, and the seats were cramped. I had trouble communicating with the staff in Japanese, but a person at a nearby table helped me.

First of all our tour guide Humu Humu was so cool! It was very interesting to hear his stories about the culture, his life background, and the history of the island. Pearl Harbor was absolutely beautiful and must be done if it's your first time in Oahu. The views there were very scenic and emotional. I would definitely do it again if I come back!

Emotional and enlightening Tour

Firstly our open top tour bus turned up on time and we was warmly welcomed by our host Nani Popolo ( a real gem ) .
He gave us the good news straight away , that we had tickets for the Arizona memorial ( no stand by queue's for us ) .
Nani gave us in depth information throughout the day and was always on hand for photo's etc . His humour and song covered the many different age groups and genre's aboard.
The Arizona , Missouri and Oklahoma sites were all as memorizing as each other , in their own different ways .
This trip was a bucket list item for my 65th birthday , we travelled from the UK for it . Our tour was worth every penny .

Great welcome on ship, platters were waiting and salad, great entertainment and staff. The lobster was not what i am used to, so would not select this option again.Was beautiful and seeing the fireworks out in the sea was amazing. Would go again and highly recommend.

The experience from the beginning to the end was immaculate. The food was great! The show was hilarious and very entertaining! The lei they greet you with is beautiful and handmade just for you! The Mai Tai? GREAT! 10/10 recommend going and seeing Chief’s Luau if you are looking into doing a luau. You and whoever you’re with will love it!

I sat towards the center tables to the left. I couldnt see anything because the performers sit too low on the stage. Also many people in the front seats (as if they already not happy enough with their view) would stand up and block our view. I missed the fire show. :(

I participated in a Hawaiian show in Hawaii that I was looking forward to with my wife.

The meeting place and schedule were as planned, and they provided transportation by bus without any issues.

The local Hawaiian show, including hula dancing and fire dancing, was so much fun!!

However, there was no Japanese announcement on-site, so I couldn't keep up with the vibe. There were hardly any Japanese people there. If I could speak a little more English, I think I would have enjoyed it more and been able to communicate with the people at my table!

This was my husband and my first time in Hawaii and we booked this sunset dinner cruise to celebrate our honeymoon. We were amazed by the way we were received, we booked the 5 course meal package which was to die for. Their food is amazing! Going up to the dock of the boat and watching the sunset was the Cherry on top. We got amazing pictures and the atmosphere was perfect. Then we came back inside to enjoy watching the dancers perform. It was a perfect and relaxing cruise.

My family had a lovely time together as we looked for a low-key activity in the evening after busy days in the sun. For our session, it was cool to meet at the rooftop tennis courts and not too hard to find. We saw a variety of stars, the moon close-up, and even Saturn. Our group was larger than I expected but anyone could ask questions throughout the experience. I'd love more stories or information to be shared throughout, but again it was an easy, light-hearted, and informative night. Also, we didn't want to commit to one of the long star-gazing activities especially on the other islands because it wouldn't work well with the different ages in our group so this was shorter and manageable.

Kind of disappointed…

The show was overall good, especially the fire dance at the end. And the chief is quite talented because he needs to run the show, tell jokes and play drums.

Anyway,
This luau is inside the water park, and we use the restroom inside the water park which is a 5 minutes away from the luau place. Before the sun goes down, it’s very hot and sweaty. And we don’t have much space while seating. The experience was not pleasant.

Also, after everyone takes a picture and ready to seat down, they give u a cup of mai tai and takes one of the drink tickets. Don’t take that Mai Tai drink right away, just go to the bar section for the drinks.

And there are one thing I can’t figure it out, before the buffet starts, they showed us a roast pig and said this is gonna be one of the main course tonight. And everyone go line up for the buffet, the only dish pork-related is the pull pork which has nothing to do with the roast pig for sure. And they didn’t cut the roast pig in front of everyone. It looks like the roast pig is one of the actor for the luau.

For the price we are paying, we expect more.

The friendly staff and outgoing nature of the performers kept my husband and I engaged and satisfied the entire time! Great outdoor space for the little ones! Can’t beat the view!!! Definitely worth the trip to roam the legendary grounds of The Royal Hawaiian.

Get there early for sure. Games and activities were fun. Make sure to watch the pig coming out of the ground! Food was good but not great but the show during and after dinner was really good. Left there not regretting spent the money.
