From the greeters to the servers to the Chief himself, everyone treated us like we were a part of the family. It felt like a big family reunion.
The food was delicious, and even if you're vegetarian or vegan like me, there are plenty of options! I had a mountain of food on my plate and didn't leave hungry.
The entertainment was my favorite part. Talented hula and warrior dancers performed traditional dances from various regions of Polynesia. So it was both entertaining and educational. I highly recommend this luau!

On the first night of my arrival in Hawaii, I wasn't very familiar with the hotel, so I mistakenly went to the wrong meeting place (it would have been nice to have a more detailed map of the meeting location since there were multiple entrances to the hotel). I ended up missing the bus and had to take a taxi, but I managed to arrive just in time for the departure and was able to participate without any issues.

I didn't have high expectations for the buffet food, but the show on board was impressive and very engaging as we could watch it right in front of us.

Since it was a sunset cruise on a Friday, we also got to see fireworks, which made for a satisfying experience.

The boat rocked more than I expected, and since the cruise was quite long, I think those who are prone to motion sickness should take precautions. However, I didn't see anyone around me looking unwell.

ハワイ到着初日の夜でホテルの中もまだよくわかってなかった為、集合場所を間違えてしまい（ホテルの出入り口複数あったのでもう少し集合場所の詳しい地図があるとよかったなあ・・・）バスに乗り遅れタクシーでなんとか出航時刻に間に合う時間に到着、無事に参加出来ました。

ビュッフェの料理はあまり期待出来ませんが船内でのショーは目の前で観覧できとても迫力がありよかったです。

サンセットや金曜日だったので花火も見れて満足なクルーズでした。

思ったより船が揺れるのと、時間も長いので乗り物に弱い方は対策をした方がいいと思います。でも周りに具合が悪そうな方はいなかったです

Just when I thought the sunset would be ruined by the clouds, they cleared up for about ten minutes at the perfect moment, allowing us to see a beautiful sunset. One of the grandmothers said she couldn't finish the full course, so we chose the buffet. Whether it was the quality of the passengers or the wonderful hospitality of the crew, the atmosphere was lively despite the vocals being a bit lacking, and the two grandmothers were very satisfied. The opinions of the two grandmothers are everything for the two grandfathers on this trip. Thanks to that, I was able to sleep soundly that night.

I was fine when I participated over 10 years ago, but this time I got seasick. The foreign person next to me seemed to be even more affected by seasickness. It's a relatively large three-story boat, but those who are not good with boats should be careful. Since it's quite far from the center of Waikiki, I requested a shuttle service and paid an extra fee to get a window seat. This time, I chose the 3-star course, but I could hardly eat due to seasickness. The taste was quite bland. During the cruise, I happened to see a whale jump. The weather was nice, and the scenery was beautiful, so now the seasickness is a good memory (laughs). I was unsure about sightseeing in Hawaii since I had elderly parents with me, but the dinner cruise seemed to be quite good for them. They were picked up by a limousine from the hotel, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and the food was great as well. Conversations that might have become monotonous with just family were lively, and there were many Japanese people around, which made it enjoyable for my elderly parents. It was a very satisfying dinner cruise. I highly recommend it.

The price, service, and food are quite cheap for being on a ship.

The levels and spaces are separated by rank. I was in the cheapest area, but honestly, the MC (master of ceremonies) didn't have enough energy to really get the crowd going, making it difficult to create a lively atmosphere. The hula dancers seemed to struggle without the MC's support for that party vibe.

The area next to us, which was one rank higher, had a great MC and was really lively! I can't say much from the lowest rank, but if the music and MC in our area were as good as in the neighboring area, I think everyone would leave the Star of Honolulu feeling moved.

The MC was just an old man with a ukulele, leaning back and reading in a low tone, while next door, the music and MC were really energizing.

We went out to sea on a large boat and waited for the sun to set. Ah, a happy moment with family.

The weather was wonderful, making it a perfect day. I was torn between a dinner cruise and a luau show, but choosing the luau show was definitely the right decision. There were families present, so I felt comfortable enjoying it! The dynamic fire show and the beautiful hula were both fantastic. I even got to participate in the show with the dancers... This is a must do experience if one wants to know more about the Polynesian Culture!

My friends and I got the Ambassador package and was extremely amazed with how all the performers, guides and crew were doing everything with so much heart and passion! There is no lying on how one consistently feels so intrigued with learning about another culture.

Despite this being a manicured and curated tourist attraction with a make-believe setting, it doesn't disappoint. Being called "family" all the time does make the entire experience different.

The Luau night show is not be be missed! The show is called Hai and is so well done that I personally want to experience it again!

Overall, there is nothing much to fault. Also note that tickets purchased and not single entry! You can go back again on another day to continue your tour if you have missed out on certain experiences.

We participated as a couple with our 12-year-old, 7-year-old, and 4-year-old. We had pre-ordered photos and sparkling wine. The initial welcome drink was, well, not great. The kids said, "It doesn't suit our taste." (laughs). When we were shown to our seats, I thought, "Huh... here?" However, compared to other dinners, the buffet was the cheapest, and since there were fewer people, I guess it was understandable that it was the smallest area.

As we set sail, a funny ukulele-playing man started interacting with the guests, and a humorous female waiter did a silly dance. There was also a beautiful little waitress who reminded me of Namie Amuro, and she suddenly started dancing, creating a fun atmosphere. The timing was different from other dinners, so while the fancy dinner guests were enjoying Hawaiian dance performances during sunset, we were free to watch the sunset. After seeing it, I thought, "I wonder if we won't get to see the dance," but when we returned to our seats, a mini dance started, and we got to see it. In the end, the dancers invited guests to join in, and we had a blast with that classic song! Plus, we got to see fireworks. Overall, it was a lot of fun. Having pre-ordered the sparkling wine made it easy since we didn't have to keep ordering it.

Authentic hula dance show 本格的なフラダンスショー

I joined this tour because I wanted to enjoy a dinner cruise while watching a beautiful sunset. When we headed to the dock by bus, we were welcomed with a hula dance.

There were about ten types of dishes (they cut thick slices of roast beef right in front of us) and nearly ten types of desserts. While the variety wasn't extensive, the flavors were really delicious. The staff guided us to the food in order, and since there weren't many customers on the day we participated, it wasn't too crowded, making it easy to get our food.

Then the hula dance show began. It wasn't heavily advertised in the tour details, so I didn't have high expectations, but it was truly amazing! There wasn't a stage, but the performance was breathtaking, and I was really moved. There was also a segment where guests could participate, and the kids had a lot of fun.

One downside was that the hula dance show was ongoing, so I couldn't take pictures of the night view of Waikiki. I wish they could have paused the show for the best photo opportunities.

However, it was truly enjoyable and exceeded my expectations!

それから始まったのがフラダンスショーです。ツアー内容にもそんなに大々的に書いてなかったのであまり期待していませんでしたが、本当にすごかったです！ステージのような台はありませんでしたが、圧巻のダンスにすごく感動しました。また、お客さん参加のコーナーもあり、子供達もとても楽しんでいました。

This time, as a commemorative event, I boarded the Sunset Dinner Cruise that I had been curious about for a while. It felt like the first floor was filled with Westerners, while the second and third floors had Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans. March in Hawaii was unusually cold this year, so a jacket was essential (some people were even bundled up in jumpers). We sat facing each other at our reserved seats, and shortly after boarding, we set sail. A live band started playing Hawaiian music, and there was a setup on the deck where we could freely enjoy cheese and fruits as appetizers.

After a while, the course meal progressed smoothly from salad to lobster to beef steak. Two drinks were included, and I ordered a tropical drink. While enjoying the meal, there were dance shows and entertainment performances with modern music that involved participation from the guests on board, and as the sun set into the ocean, night fell. When dessert was served and I was looking at the tea options, the fireworks in Waikiki lit up the sky on Friday. Watching the fireworks from offshore for about 15 minutes was exceptional. You can also go up to the third-floor deck, but on windy days, it can be too cold to go up.

Dining in such an extraordinary space, along with the entertainment show and fireworks, was a unique experience. However, the meal was a bit disappointing, and the performers had to move between the first, second, and third floors, which seemed challenging for them, especially when changing outside. Additionally, there were too few restrooms for the number of guests, so I rated it four out of five.

暫くすると、サラダ→ロブスター→牛ステーキへとテンポよくコースが進みます。ドリンクは2杯までついていて、Tropicalドリンクをオーダー。
途中食事しながら、ダンスショーや船中のお客さんも参加型のエンターテイメントショーのような現代音楽と一緒にパフォーマンスを見ていると夕陽が海面に沈み、夜となります。デザートが出て紅茶などをみていると、ワイキキの金曜日の花火が打ちあがりました。15分程の花火沖合から見る花火はまた格別。3階の甲板にも上がれますが、風が強い日は寒くて上がれません。
非日常的な空間での食事とエンターテイメントショーそして花火。
食事が少し期待外れではあったのと、ショーステージの人たちが、１階・２階・３階を行き来しているので、外で着替えたり大変そうなのと、トイレが人数に対して少ないので一つマイナスで４つにしました。

There were 3-star and 5-star options, but since it was a special trip, I decided to indulge in the 5-star experience. The meat was very tender, and all the other dishes were delicious, so I felt it was worth choosing the 5-star option.

The cruising dinner was truly luxurious with piano performances, saxophone, flute, singing, and dancing. As the sun gradually set, the sunset over the sea was really beautiful. I was able to go out on the deck and take some lovely photos.

As a souvenir, only women received a single rose, and since I participated on the first day of the trip, I was able to decorate my hotel room with it, which was nice.
