I've been to Hawaii many times, but I hesitated about the sandbar because I heard it can be heavily influenced by the weather. However, I always thought I should try it someday, so I decided to give it a shot. I wanted to make sure I could walk on the sandbar, so I chose a day when the tide would be close to zero during low tide. After that, it was up to the weather, but on the day of the trip, we were blessed with clear skies and encountered stunning views. The staff even said, "Today is super lucky!" The contrast between the white sandbar and the deep blue water was striking and beautiful. Walking in the middle of the ocean felt truly surreal. The staff acted as our photographer, giving us poses to strike, and we were able to take wonderful family photos.

After that, it was snorkeling time, and my husband and daughter participated. I took some time to explore the sandbar before returning to the boat to watch the snorkeling. It seemed quite deep, but they had a lot of fun seeing many fish. They mentioned that they would have liked a bit more time. The morning tour has a shorter duration, so that's understandable. We enjoyed our sandwiches and drinks leisurely, and there was no wasted time, which made us very satisfied. The staff were always energetic and kept the atmosphere lively. They promptly pointed out where the sea turtles were, so we were able to see quite a few. Everything was packed into a short amount of time, and both my husband and daughter were extremely happy. They even thanked me, saying, "Thanks, Mom!" I definitely want to participate again next time.

ハワイには何度も行っていますが、サンドバーは天候にかなり左右される…と聞いていたので躊躇していました。でも、いつかは…と思っていたので初挑戦。天候は仕方ないとしてもサンドバーはしっかり歩きたいと思い、干潮時の潮位が０に近い時間帯に当たる日を選びました。後は天候次第でしたが、当日は本当に晴天で、素晴らしい景色に出合えました。スタッフの方も今日は超ラッキーですよ~と！白いサンドバーから深いブルーへのコントラストもはっきりとしていて見事でした。海の真ん中を歩いてるのは本当に不思議な気分。スタッフの方がカメラマンをして下さり、ポーズも指示して頂いて、素敵な家族写真が撮れました。その後シュノーケリングタイムで、主人と娘が参加。私はしばしサンドバーを散策？して船に戻り、シュノーケリングを見学。かなり深かったようですが、魚もたくさん見られて楽しかったそうです。本人たちは、もう少し時間が長くてもいいかなぁと。午前中のコースはツアー自体の時間が短いので仕方ありませんね。サンドウィッチと飲み物をゆっくり頂いて、無駄な時間がなく、とても満足でした。スタッフの方は常に元気で盛り上げてくれました。海がめのいる場所も即座に教えて下さるので、結構見る事が出来ました。短い時間の中で凝縮されていて、主人も娘も大満足。ママありがとう~と感謝されてしまいました。次回もまた是非参加したいと思います。

This is our second time participating as a family, and we had a great time. At the sandbar, the timing of low tide doesn't always align perfectly, so the water level can reach up to our knees. Standing there and looking around gives you a strange feeling as if you're in the middle of the ocean. If you have small children, not being able to snorkel might reduce the fun a bit. Turtles can be seen everywhere. I wish it were a bit cheaper for the kids...

サンドバーではなかなかうまいタイミングで干潮にならないのでひざぐらいまでは海面があります。
あそこにたって周りを見渡すと海の真中にいるので不思議な感じになります。
小さいお子さんがいるとシュノーケルができないと楽しさが半減するかもしれません。
亀はいたるところで見れます。子どもがもう少し安いをいいのですが・・・。

I had seen it on TV, but experiencing it in person is completely different. It's hard to put into words, but the mystery of nature is truly moving and amazing. You absolutely must experience it at least once. I hope that nature remains just as it is forever.

I am very grateful for the cheerful shuttle driver and the young crew staff, as their service was extremely satisfying. The charcoal-grilled hamburger was absolutely delicious. I also spoke with other families, and everyone was truly enjoying themselves, all saying, "I'm so glad we participated in this tour!!!" I will definitely join again next time. We participated in a tour with lunch as a family. The air conditioning in the car was quite strong. We were divided into a cruiser and a smaller boat, and we were on the smaller boat. While it may not have been as stylish, it was nice to be surrounded by families with small children, creating a homely atmosphere.

We saw plenty of sea turtles, and at the sandbar, the staff helped with taking photos and even got everyone involved in beach volleyball. The snorkeling lasted about 30 to 40 minutes, and they constantly reminded us from the boat to be careful as "the coral can cut your feet."

The BBQ hamburger for lunch was exceptionally delicious, and we appreciated the prompt drink service as soon as we boarded, as well as the warm drinks after snorkeling (it was quite windy and cold that day).

While it does depend on the weather, I think it's worth going at least once.

ランチ付のツアーに家族で参加しました。
行きの車中はクーラーがかなりきいてました。
船はクルザーと小さめのボートに分かれて乗りましたが私たちは小さめの船でした。かっこよさでは劣りますが家族連ればかりで小さなお子さんたちもいてアットホームな感じでこちらで良かったと思いました。
ウミガメもたくさん見れたし、サンドバーではスタッフの方が撮影に協力してくれたりビーチバレーをして盛り上げてくれました。シュノーケリングは３０~４０分ほどあり「珊瑚の上は足が切れるので気をつけてくださ~い」と常に船上から声かけしてくれてました。
ランチのBBQハンバーガーは絶妙に美味しく乗船してすぐにドリンクのサービスやシュノーケリング後の温かいドリンク（この日は風が強く寒かった）の心遣いも嬉しかったです。
お天気に左右されますが１度は行ってみても良いと思います。

2.5-Hour Waikiki Guided Turtle Snorkel Tour, Snacks & Drinks - Holokai Catamaran

Positives of this tour are it's location right outside the Outrigger Reef, the water was warm and saw quite a few turtles dolphins and fish, and overall good value for money.
The staff were just ok, nothing special. No commentary on anything except a few minutes on the rules and how to snorkel. The big negative for us was how uncomfortable the ride was on the catamaran for almost the entire time on the boat. We wanted to sit on the bench seats provided, but was told we would have to all sit on or around the netting area to help balance the boat. For my wife and I this became extremely uncomfortable after a short while, with no cushions or anything like that provided to make it somewhat comfortable. It ruined the cruise for us. Next time we will book a tour on a bigger boat that provides seating for it's guests.

It was my first snorkeling experience, and I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind. The waiting time to get to the beach was also minimal. Seeing the fish swimming up close was truly moving! I especially recommend it for first-timers. However, excluding the practice time, the actual snorkeling experience was a bit short (I think it was just under 30 minutes), so it might not be enough for repeat visitors.

The sandbar that forms in the ocean was indeed beautiful. When the boat arrived at the sandbar, we first had a photo session, and the staff were very cooperative in taking pictures. This lasted about 20 minutes.

After that, we went snorkeling, but this time was less than five minutes. My child's mask didn't fit well, and I was a bit late to start, so we ended up finishing in just 2-3 minutes! This was far too short. I've done a lot of snorkeling before, but I've never experienced such a brief session.

To make matters worse, on the way back, the staff jokingly mentioned that tips would be appreciated. From my perspective, I thought we had already paid for the experience, including tips.

One reason for the short snorkeling time might be the delay with the pickup vehicle. In fact, the pickup car didn't arrive until about 15 minutes after the scheduled time. I wondered if someone was running late. Just as I was thinking of calling, the car arrived, but no one was inside. It seemed like it was just delayed. After about five minutes of riding, we were made to switch to another bus, which was eerily quiet. As I walked down the aisle to find an open seat at the back, someone said, "How long are you going to make us wait?!"

We had been waiting for 10 minutes before the scheduled time, yet it felt like we were the ones who were late. Now that I think about it, the bus was parked far away when we switched, which seemed like an attempt to hide the fact that they were late.

The ocean was mystical and beautiful, but honestly, I cannot recommend this experience. I'm sorry.

おまけに帰りは、スタッフが冗談ぽくではありますが、チップをいただければなんて。こちらから言わせれば、チップも込みで参加費払ってるんではっと思いました。
なんでこんなにシュノーケルが短いのか、原因の一つは送迎の車のせいかも？？
実はお迎えの車、集合時間１５分ぐらいすぎてもお迎えの車が来なかったんです。どこかで遅刻した人がいるのかな~。電話しようかな~とその時、車が来たのですが誰も乗っておらず。ただ単に遅れたたけのようです。５分ほど乗ったあと、別のバスに乗り換えさせられたのですが、そのなかはシーンとしており、一番後ろの開いている席に行こうとバスの通路を歩いていたら、「いつまでまたせんだよ」と言われ！！！
私たちは、集合時間の10分前から待っていたのに私たちが遅刻した雰囲気。そういえば乗り換える時も、バスから離れたところに止め。今考えると遅刻したのを隠すため？と思うような行動でした。
海は神秘的で美しかったですが、正直お勧めできません。
ごめんなさい。

My only criticism is that the time spent snorkeling in the water was somewhat limited in comparison with the total time scheduled for the tour. While our instructor/guide was very good, he moved us through the two areas snorkeled in the bay very quickly. I wanted to take some pictures, but found the time to do so was very limited as the group had to move through each area at a pace that limited the time for individual viewing of fish and coral. As a result, I was only able to get very few pictures, and, to have time to enjoy a direct view of the fish without looking through the camera screen!
More time in the water and a slower pace would be desirable.

The weather was unfortunately bad on the day, so the photos turned out disappointing, but the staff's service was attentive and I had a great time! Unfortunately, it rained all day, it was cold, and the sandbar didn't appear, so I felt like I just did some snorkeling and went back. Due to my lack of experience, I rated it three stars. However, there was one interesting staff member who worked hard to keep things lively, so I didn't get bored on the boat. I can imagine it would have been fun if it had been sunny, warm, and the sandbar had appeared.

Hanauma Bay can be visited individually, but I heard that depending on the time of day, you might not be able to fit on the bus and have to wait for the next one, so I chose this tour. In the end, it was the right decision to go with the tour! Entry and the trolley bus were smooth. The guide was fluent in Japanese and was a fun person. It was great not having to bring any equipment!

I felt a connection with our guide, Alan, as he picked us up. We adjusted our fins and headed to Hanauma. After watching an introductory video about Hanauma, we took the trolley down to the bay, where we received a thorough explanation on how to properly use the equipment. After a year, I was able to snorkel calmly. I was amazed by the tropical fish as I dove in. After we finished, we took a break with cookies and water, and then we were taken back to our hotel.

I was worried about whether I would be able to see the beautiful sandbar due to the cloudy weather, but by the time we arrived at the sandbar, the weather had cleared up! The sensation of stepping barefoot on the mysterious beach that appeared in the middle of the ocean was amazing! This tour focuses on experiencing the sandbar, so getting to that location is a priority. It was fun to see sea turtles and take photos along the way, but if I had to say something, I think the meals could be a bit more substantial. I read alot of reviews prior to booking, and this excursion sounded the best...and in my opinion it is! The crew were wonderful - very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I felt in capable hands the whole time, having never snorkelled with dolphins before. It was awesome, and we weren't rushed at all. I am looking forward to getting the professional photos from Ali. I have wonderful memories of this day and will definitely recommend this experience to others. I am sure that if I return to Oahu, I will definitely do this trip again!

It would have been nice to have more time to swim, but we only circled around the boat for a short while. I heard there were sea turtles in the distance, but I couldn't see them. It's a shame because the staff were friendly and left a good impression.

Even though it was my first time snorkeling, I felt very reassured as they explained how to use the equipment. They also managed our valuables well, allowing us to go to the sea with peace of mind.

Since I can't swim, I ended up at the very back and couldn't hear any of the explanations, so my friend and I were the only ones who couldn't see the sea turtles.

The explanation at the start of the snorkeling was much more thorough and interesting this time compared to two years ago when it was simply about putting on the mask and being tapped on the back by the successful participants. They said things like, "I can't tell if you can swim just by asking. Please don't stay completely still while watching the fish. You need to move a little. If you feel it's too much at any point, please let me know." The staff, who had previously seemed very enthusiastic, were serious when they said, "Please let me know before you think you can't do it. Once you put on the mask, I will check, so please swim to me using the breaststroke. Remember to breathe." It made me realize that a lot must have happened in the past two years. シュノーケル開始時の説明について、前回（2年前）は簡単にマスクをつけて浮いていると合格者は背中をポンと触ってくれるというものでした。が今回は、事前説明がすごく充実していて面白かったです。「『私泳げるでしょうか？』と聞かれても分かりません。魚を夢中で見てピクリとも動かないのはやめてください。少しは動いてください。途中で無理と思ったら教えて下さい」とか、それからそれまではやるぞーて感じのスタッフが神妙な顔で「無理と思う前に教えてください。マスクを付けたら確認しますので、平泳ぎで僕の所まで来てください。呼吸をしてください」と真剣に確認していたこと。きっと、この2年間の間に色々なことがあったんだなあと思いました。多くの人を安全に楽しませるためには苦労が多いことと思います。追加すると、帰り、岸に着いたら足元を見て岸に降りるようにと、船と岸壁の間に落ちると結構な怪我をすると説明がありました・・・きっと落ちて怪我をした人がいたんだなあと・・。最後にバスに乗る前にトイレに女性軍団が行ったんですが、駐車場のトイレは2つしかないので最後の方を待つまでだいぶ時間がかかりました。それで思いました。次回のツアーの説明には「船が付いてからのトイレは2つしかないので、船でトイレに行っておいて下さい」というのが加わるのではと・・・。安全にツアーを楽しんでもらうために努力され工夫されていることがすごく分かるツアーでした。最後に、お昼からのツアーでBBQがついていました。骨付きのお肉がすごく美味しくて沢山おかわりしてしまいました。まとめますと、サンドバーはもちろんきれいで、ゆっくりのんびり時間をすごせたし、船の上から海がめも見れたし、サンドバーでは船の近くに小さい子亀も泳いでいたし、、シュノーケルも出来たし、スタッフの人は楽しかったし、充実したツアーでした。また参加したいと思いました。あ、出来立てほかほかマラサダも美味しかったです。

The weather was out of my control, but I really wish it had been sunnier. It was cold.

If you're taking a digital camera to the sandbar, I definitely think a waterproof camera would be best.

I might want to try again when the weather is better. I was glad to see the turtle, even if it was just for a moment.

I was a bit worried because it was slightly cloudy, but by the time we went snorkeling, the sun came out, and I enjoyed the breathtaking scenery that is quintessentially Hawaii. I highly recommend that anyone who has never tried snorkeling before take the plunge here. The staff will kindly and thoroughly teach you the basics of snorkeling.

Whether you can see turtles depends on the day, but on this day, turtles were swimming right next to the boat, which was amazing.

Thanks to the friendly staff, it was a very enjoyable cruise.
