I participated with my mother and daughter. This was the second time for my mother and daughter at the sandbar, and since the water level was up to my mother's chest last time, it seemed scary for them, so we booked a course that matched the low tide.

Thanks to that, the water level was below our knees, and the weather was great, allowing us to have a wonderful time.

We also got to see sea turtles and enjoyed snorkeling around the coral with my daughter.

The tour staff were very friendly and took photos for us. If there's another opportunity, I would definitely like to participate again.

I participated with my 5-year-old son. He seemed nervous with the unfamiliar life jacket and snorkel, but the class representative, Julie, kindly supported him, and we were able to see dolphins up close. Unfortunately, we could only see sea turtles from the boat because my child gets cold easily, but we spotted about four of them. The spam musubi for a light snack was also delicious. The other participants and the staff were very friendly, and the final hula was a lot of fun. I definitely want to participate again once my son can swim better! I checked the low tide times during my stay and chose a day when the tour coincided with low tide. Unfortunately, it was a day with a low tide of 0.9 feet, so the water was only knee-deep, but there were no waves, and both my elementary school-aged children and my one-year-old had plenty of fun playing. Although it rained on and off that day and there was some wind, I was told that the diving spot wasn't very clear, but I was still able to play with a lot of fish, and it was really fun. My husband, who cannot swim, was encouraged to try snorkeling, and he looked genuinely happy to see the underwater world for the first time in his life! The hamburger for lunch was also delicious, and I am grateful to all the staff.

In June, I participated in this tour. When I first tried snorkeling, I struggled and couldn't really see much underwater, which was a disaster. So, I really hesitated about joining this time, but after reading other people's experiences, I decided to go for it.

As a result, I received really kind and thorough instruction from Chieko and Dan, and I am truly grateful to them. I was scared to even put my face in the water and thought I might not be able to do it, but Dan told me to breathe slowly and relax, holding my hand tightly. Then, the tour with six people started! Chieko took over and guided us, swimming while holding our hands. Gradually, my fear disappeared, and when we spotted fish, Chieko would call out and even tell us their names, which made me very happy.

Since the rocks are very close, I recommend borrowing a wetsuit. It helps those who are not very good at swimming to float more easily and prevents injuries. The snorkel I borrowed here ensures that as long as you can breathe through your mouth, no water will come in, so for those who are anxious like me or not confident in swimming, you can definitely participate. If I could do it, anyone can... haha.

Swimming for almost an hour can be quite tiring, but seeing the fish makes all the fatigue disappear. If you want to get out, they will take you back to shore.

Lastly, there can be some seasickness, so I think it's a good idea for those prone to motion sickness to take medication beforehand. 結果、本当に親切丁寧に教えてくださってチエコさんダンさんには本当にお世話になりました。顔をつけるところから怖くて無理かなあ？と思っていたところ、ダンさんがゆっくり息をしてください。力抜いてくださいと言って手をしっかり握ってくださいました。そして、6名でのツアースタート！チエコさんに交代してみんなの後をしっかり手をひっぱって泳いでくれました。だんだん怖さもなくなり、魚をみつけてはチエコさんが声をかけてくださって、お魚の名前も教えてくれたり、うれしかったです。岩がとっても近いのでウエットスーツを借りることをおすすめします。泳ぎがあまり得意でない方は浮きやすくなりますし、ケガ防止にもなります。こちらでお借りしたシュノーケルは呼吸さえ口で出来れば絶対に水が入ってくることはありませんので、私のように不安のある方、泳ぎが得意でない方、参加を迷われてる方、大丈夫です。私でもできましたから。。。。笑
1時間近く泳ぎっぱなしでかなり疲れますがお魚さんを見たら疲れも吹っ飛びますよ。上がりたくなれば沖まで連れて行ってくれます。
最後に波酔いがありますので、船酔いしやすい方は薬を飲んでいくといいと思います。
本当にチエコさん最後の最後まで手を引っ張って泳いで下さりありがとうございました。はじめて海の中をお魚さんと一緒に泳げるという体験をさせていただきました。感謝しています。

I participated with my 6-year-old daughter, who just turned six, and my parents in their 70s, making it a three-generation outing.

Renting a wetsuit was essential, especially for slim individuals, children, and the elderly. It gets surprisingly cold floating in the sea for a long time without a wetsuit, and after seeing the dolphins, when the boat moves to the snorkeling spot, it’s really cold with the wind on a wet body. By the way, it was sunny at the end of June. Everyone on the trip was wearing one.

My daughter wore a swimsuit, a short-sleeve rash guard, rash leggings, and a rented wetsuit that was long-sleeved and shorts. Even with that, she was shivering and had blue lips after getting out of the water. I thought maybe I should have gotten her a thicker, warmer long-sleeve and long-pants rash guard. Since children are just floating and not swimming hard, they get colder more easily.

After snorkeling, my daughter was so cold that she wanted to take off her wet swimsuit immediately, so she quickly changed into her regular clothes on the boat while shivering, put on a windbreaker, and finally stopped shivering once she wore a down jacket. I think it would be reassuring to bring a compact ultra-down jacket from Uniqlo for children who get cold easily.

A children's pool towel with a hood and snaps is convenient for changing anywhere. A super absorbent, quick-drying, ultra-thin chamois towel was also very handy. No matter how many beach towels you have from the hotel, it’s never enough.

By the way, my daughter could do a face-down flutter kick and had her first snorkeling experience at Hanauma Bay the day before. I recommend the dissolvable motion sickness tablets. I usually get seasick even with a float, but this time I was perfectly fine.

Juri, the class representative, was just like a class representative should be—very caring and someone you can rely on. 6歳になったばかりの年長さんの娘と、70代の両親と３世代での参加です。

ウェットスーツのレンタルは必須でした。特に細身の方。お子様やお年寄り。必須です！
海で長時間浮かんでいるのも、ウェットスーツが無いと、思いのほか寒くなってくるので耐えられないのと、イルカを見た後、船がシュノーケルスポットへ移動する時も、濡れた体で風を受けるので、ウェットスーツ着ていないと寒くて無理です！
ちなみに6月末で晴天です。　
参加者全員着用してました。

娘は水着+半袖ラッシュガード+ラッシュレギンス+レンタルのウェットスーツは長袖半ズボンで、それでも海から上がるとガタガタ震えて唇青くて。。
もっと上下厚手の保温タイプの長袖長ズボンラッシュにしてあげれば良かったかな～くらいな感じです。子供は特に浮かんでいるだけなので、一生懸命泳がないから余計寒いのですね。

シュノーケルが終わると、娘は寒すぎて、濡れた水着をすぐに脱ぎたがりましたので、船上で震えながらもパパッと普段着に着替え、防風ウィンドブレーカーをはおり、更にダウンジャケットでようやく震えが止まった様子。
寒がりなお子様にはコンパクトなユ○クロのウルトラダウンみたいなのを是非念のためお持ちになると安心だと思います。

フードやスナップのついた子供用のプールタオルは何処でもお着替えが出来て便利。
タオルも超吸水、超速乾、超薄のセームタオルが便利でした。ホテルのビーチタオルでは何枚あっても足りません。

ちなみに娘は顔付ばた足が出来る程度で、前日にハナウマ湾で初めてシュノーケルを経験した所。
パパが先に海におりて、船上からスタッフの方に娘を抱き下ろしてもらい、パパが下で受け取る形。船から水面は、座って足は届かないけれど、かなり近いです。皆さん立って足から飛び降りる感じですが、順番の最後だったので、私や母は座ってから、足からスルッと海に降りました。怖くない高さです。
浮き棒等貸して下さいます。
サポートも声掛けもベテランで、本当に安心してシュノーケル出来ました。

舐めるタイプの酔止めはおすすめです。普段浮き輪でも酔う私ですが、今回はバッチリでした。

学級委員のじゅりさんが、まさに学級委員って感じで、とっても面倒見がよくて思わず頼りたくなる本当に素敵な方で、細やかな配慮と優しい気配りで、こちらに参加して本当に良かったと大満足でした。
バスの中でも爽やかで楽しくて、とても分かりやすいガイドをして頂きました。本当に素敵な思い出が出来ました。

また次回も必ずイルカ中学を選びます！本当にありがとうございました！

A big shout out to Coreen (I hope I spelled correct), my 7 year old daughter freaked out when she hit the water so the wife and my 5 year old son went on, after my son was done holding onto me I took him back to the boat it was at that time that another of the crew members had a baby octopus and my son freaked so back on the boat he goes, but the good part was Corren had my 7 year old daughter with aspergers in the water and ready to swim over to us, when she saw the turtles and fish she freaked so back to the boat she goes, but it was truly amazing and we will do it again. Then a great sail to cap off the amazing snorkeling adventure

On the day of our trip, we changed locations because sharks were spotted at the originally planned snorkeling spot, and we ended up in an area with slightly stronger waves. There was a chance we might see dolphins, but due to the change in location, we didn't encounter any dolphins, turtles, or mantas. The instructor kept us entertained in various ways.

We took a boat to a wonderful sandbar!
It was cloudy, so the photos didn't turn out great, but in reality, the water was clear and beautiful!
The Japanese guide really got everyone excited, took lots of photos, and it became a great memory!
The snorkeling was amazing with beautiful fish swimming around and the coral was stunning!
The BBQ hamburgers we had on the boat were very American and absolutely delicious!
The guide's child was there too, and they were adorable!
They even showed us the location of the turtles using a clock as a reference!

We had such an amazing experience, staffs were very nice and helpful. It was fun to see many turtles and fishes. We had so much fun. And at the end of our Hawaii trip, I asked my son, which one was the most memorable one of all the places we went to in Hawaii, and he said snorkling with turtles!!!

I was nervous about snorkeling after a long time, but the lecture in the shallow water made me feel at ease. I had a great experience with a sea turtle swimming right in front of me. The sandbar itself didn't have as low tide as I expected, and it wasn't quite like the pictures, but the weather was nice, and the waves were calm, making it comfortable.

This was my second time participating, and I was once again very satisfied! I was able to swim with many dolphins. I'm usually scared to swim in the ocean where I can't touch the bottom, but in this activity, I had zero fear. For those who are anxious about swimming, they provide not only life jackets but also floatation devices, which is reassuring. It seems that swimming with spinner dolphins is something you can only do in Hawaii, so I highly recommend it. Our guide, Juli, was also fun and lively! I definitely want to participate again when I go to Hawaii!

We participated as a couple. The weather was clear on the day, and the views at each sightseeing spot were wonderful. Although there were few fish while snorkeling, a sea turtle appeared right in front of us! It was an emotional moment and became a lovely memory.

What was a bit disappointing was the guide. She was very high-energy, which surprised me (she might have been trying to entertain us, but...). She kept talking continuously, sharing various stories related to Hawaii, which was educational, but she also talked a lot about herself (like where she lived in the past—several countries—and her dislikes), and I found myself thinking, "I don't really care about you..." by the end. There was also a Japanese woman who seemed to live in Honolulu participating, and when she spoke with her, it felt like they were friends. For example, they talked at length about a menu item that is only available at Kentucky Fried Chicken in the U.S., saying, "I want to eat this when I die!" which felt a bit condescending to us who live in Japan and wouldn't know about that.

This woman seemed to be friends with the guide but didn't particularly contribute to the tour, making her role unclear. The guide mentioned several times, "If I'm told to swim, I'll swim anywhere, but I absolutely don't want to climb mountains!" この１名参加の女性はガイドと友人みたいですが特にツアーに協力するでもなく立ち位置が不明でした。
ガイドさんは「私は泳げといわれれば何処までも泳ぐけど、山は絶対登りたくない！」と数回仰っていましたが、参加者の中にはダイアモンドヘッドに登るかたもいたかもしれませんし、少しデリカシーに欠けていると思いました。
最後には名刺を配られ、「お褒めコメントはVERTRAへ！クレームは私のメールへ！」と説明しており、あざとさも感じました。

Although the waves were high and I couldn't see any sea turtles, there were so many beautiful fish, and I was truly moved by the experience. I would love to do it again next time.

This was an enjoyable trip just off the Waikiki coast, snorkeling was fruitful with my three teenage children as we saw many sea turtles and fish, while my wife enjoyed staying on the boat taking pictures of us in the water and of the surrounding views. Then we took a fun sail ride that gives you a great view of the Waikiki skyline and a full view of Diamond Head. The crew was great and were determined to ensure we had a great time. They were successful!

The sandbar was incredibly beautiful and I was moved! We were blessed with great weather and got to see a large honu, creating wonderful memories! The guides were also very kind and easy to talk to, which left a great impression! I bought a sea band (anti-nausea band) here, and I really recommend it for those who are prone to motion sickness. I have a weak vestibular system that makes me dizzy even on airplanes, but wearing this band made the boat's swaying and even the return flight completely comfortable without any nausea!

A trip to Hawaii with my friend's family. I was the only one who wanted to swim with dolphins, so I felt anxious but decided to sign up anyway. My worries while waiting for the pickup bus were blown away by the guide's Japanese. All the participants were Japanese as well, and they were all cheerful and friendly, which made me feel even more at ease!

The one-hour ride was never boring thanks to the lively talk from our guide, Julie (a cheerful Japanese woman). The weather was great, the boat was stable, and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the west coast of Hawaii. I got to see plenty of dolphins, turtles, and tropical fish, which was thrilling and moving!
