I used this service for my first tour after arriving in Hawaii. It was amazing, just as I expected. Since it was only Japanese tourists, I felt safe and enjoyed myself. However, I went during the COVID period, so I brought my own snorkel and goggles.

I heard that you need to be able to swim to some extent for turtle watching. Hearing that made me nervous and I almost gave up, but watching the turtle watching group made me think it would be okay. I definitely recommend going even if you can't swim. I believe it will work out. I brought my snorkel and goggles but ended up not participating, which was a mistake.

While waiting for the turtle watching group, there are inflatable rings and other toys available, so don't worry. You can have plenty of fun. Also, it gets cold on the way back, so if you don't have something to wear, you might catch a cold. It's better to prepare a jacket and pants that you can wear over your swimsuit, as the bus ride back can be chilly.

期待通り最高でした。日本人ツアー客のみなので、安心して楽しめました。
しかしながら、ちょうどコロナの時期に行ったので、個人でシュノーケルとゴーグルを持参し行きました。
ウミガメウォッチングはある程度、泳げる人と言われます。その言葉を聞いてびびって諦めましたが、ウミガメウォッチング組の様子を見てるとなんとかなると思いました。是非、泳げなくても見に行ってください。なんとかなると思います。小生はシュノーケルとゴーグルを持参したのに参加せず失敗しました。
ウミガメウォッチング組を待ってる間は、浮き輪など遊び道具はありますので安心してください。十分に楽しめます。
あと帰りは寒いので、羽織るものが無いと風邪引きます。
濡れても良い水着の上から着れる、上着とズボンを用意したほうが良いです。帰りのバスは寒いです。

Second time with dolphins!!

It was absolutely amazing!!! The day before we went, it took three hours to see dolphins, but on this day, we encountered a pod just 15 minutes after reaching the spot!!! We got to swim with them over and over again. It was March, but I managed to swim without a wetsuit (it might have been better if I had borrowed one??). I also got to meet the turtle instructor right away, and it was truly, truly wonderful!!!

From various reviews, I didn't have high expectations due to the winter weather and water depth. However, on the day of the trip, it was sunny! There was no wind, and I started with an excited feeling. As we approached the sandbar and stepped into the water, it was indeed deep up to my thighs, but as we walked along the sandbar, it became shallower to around my calves, and the water was so beautiful!

After that, we went snorkeling to see the sea turtles. My husband isn't very good at swimming, so he stayed on the monitoring cruiser, watching us snorkelers from nearby. The sea turtles came close to us as if they were welcoming us. We were so considerate of the turtles that we kept a little distance from them. The cruiser my husband was on provided great service and seemed to speed up a bit for us. My husband seemed to enjoy it as well, and we are grateful to the staff.

Lunch was a barbecue-style buffet. There was warm coffee, which was very delicious and unforgettable. I want to participate again and have been recommending it to my friends since returning home.

そのあと、ホヌを見にシュノーケリングしました。主人は泳ぐのがあまり得意ではないらしく、監視のクルーザーに乗せてもらい、シュノーケリングしている私達を近くで見守っていました。ホヌは私達を迎えてくれてるかのように近くまで来てくれました。私達の方が遠慮してホヌに気を遣い、少し離れるようにするくらいの距離でした。主人が乗ってるクルーザーの方がサービスをしてくれて、超加速して少し走ってくれたみたいです。主人も楽しめたようで、スタッフの方には感謝しています。ランチもバーベキュー風ビュッフェ形式になっていました。温かいコーヒーがありましたが、味がとっても美味しく、忘れられません。また参加したいし、帰ってから、友達にもオススメしています。

When you participate, it's a good idea to check the wave height before making a reservation! Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy it in water that was about knee-deep.

This was my first time at the sandbar, so I can't compare it to others, but I would like to share my impressions.

- The staff at the sandbar took photos of all participants with their cameras or smartphones. Since I used my smartphone, they took quite a few pictures and told me to choose the best ones.
- They asked couples with children if they wanted to snorkel at staggered times, so it's reassuring even if you have kids.

- Several sea turtles were spotted while snorkeling.

・ランチはカレー、骨付きカルビ、鶏肉、サラダ、パイナップル、ポテチ、シュリンプなど、結構種類があってしかも美味しかったです。
・シュノーケリングでも何匹かウミガメが発見されました。
・サンドバーでウミガメが3匹も泳いでくれました。とてもサービス精神豊かなカメたちでした。大きなフグも泳いでいてとても可愛かったです。
・船員さんが皆さん気さくな方でいろいろ教えてくださいました。
・帰りの車も寒くはなかったのでよかったです。

良くなかった点
・本当に言うことなしですが、強いて言うなら時間が少し足りないぐらいですかね…サンドバー上陸して、シュノーケリング参加して、ランチを食べたら残り時間10分ぐらいで、カヤックもやってみたかったのですが次回かなあと思いました。

注意点
・雨季は天気が安定しないので、私たちは当日の朝予約しました。土曜日でも予約できたので、もし何日か滞在予定だったら当日の天気を見てからでもいいのかも。予約を何がなんでも取りたいのであれば天気予報を見て早めに予約してください。
・Tide Chartというサイトで潮位を調べれますので、行く日数が決まっているのであれば、そこでカネオヘ湾の潮位が低くなる日、時間に合わせると良い感じのサンドバーが見れます。

This well-run tour took us to a place known as Turtle Canyon a few hundred meters off of Waikiki where sea turtles come to get cleaned by algae eating fish.
There were a couple of dozen of varying ages (judging by their sizes) and though touching is prohibited, it was easy to get close enough that you could have.
Sharp, amusing crew, well maintained and clean masks, snorkels, and fins provided, and cold local beer.

Since this was my first trip to Hawaii, I made a reservation for a tour that I thought would be enjoyable. The bus picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel, which was very helpful. The itinerary included a lot of activities like turtle watching, Angel's Sea, and snorkeling, which was great. I was worried about snorkeling since I'm not very fluent in English, but they provided a full set of equipment for us, and being with many other Japanese people made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy it. At Angel's Sea, the tour guide took a lot of photos and was a wonderful person with a great sense of service, which made me very satisfied! Also, they grilled hamburgers for lunch on the boat, and it was very delicious. I think families with children can enjoy this as well, as the Japanese tour guide took care of small kids during snorkeling. It was a great experience that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own! I was worried about whether I would see dolphins, but I was truly moved to see them three times. When a dolphin passed right in front of me, I got goosebumps. I heard that it can take time to find a pod of dolphins depending on the day, but when I participated in February, it took 4 hours to swim with the dolphins (sometimes they can be found in about 30 minutes). They generally stick around for hours until they find them, so it's wise not to schedule anything else after the tour.

However, even if it takes time to encounter the dolphins, you can swim with whales, turtles, and various fish in the meantime, which makes for a very satisfying experience. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, making it a great tour.

2月に参加した際はイルカと泳ぐまで4時間かかりました(早い時は30分くらいで見つけられるらしい)。

I thought that seeing sea turtles while watching them would be a matter of luck, but I was so happy to see many of them. While snorkeling near the coral reefs, the sea turtles really swam right by me and underneath me, which was incredibly moving. Although the sea of angels didn't have a blue sky, the clarity was wonderful, and I really felt it was worth coming!

It was a nice day, and although it felt a bit cold in the water since it was February, once I got in the sea, it was fine. The ocean was beautiful, and a sea turtle came close to me. The barbecue was delicious, and it was a fun time. On the way back, the car had the heating on, and there were bath towels laid out on the seats, making it comfortable.

She provided a completely different explanation from the male guide, conveying the dangers while also giving clear criteria for what one could handle. そして、サンドバーを歩いてるときは相変わらず明るく調子良いのに、シュノーケル始める前に「泳ぎに自信ない人はやめてよ！いきなり深くなるからね！必ずトラウマなって帰る人いるから！ウェットスーツきても浮かないから！安心じゃないから！」
→→結局、そんな人はいなかったし、あとでウエットスーツ来たら、まず沈まない。ホントにまっっったく泳げない人は無理だと思うが、その場で浮く技術なくても、25m泳げる人なら問題ないです。(シュノーケリングはすぐ隣でやってたので、様子が見れます)」
その説明と急な判断を求められたせいで、僕らは心配で辞めたし、他のカップルもけっこう心配な人はやめてた。僕は50mぐらい普通に泳げますし、シュノーケリングの経験もありましたが、説明がとても怖いイメージを受けて、やめました…このレベルの人はごまんといると思います。

海が危険な事は重々承知しており、そのことを伝えるのは必要な事だと思います。しかし、散々明るく調子良いくせに、急に危ないイメージの発言を連発して、すぐその場で判断させるのは、おかしいと思います。
このような結論に至ったのは、隣の船(同じツアー)の女性ガイドの同説明をあとで聞いたからです。その女性ガイドは、男性ガイドとは全く違う説明をして、危ないことも伝えつつ、これくらい出来れば平気ですとしっかりと判断材料もくれてた。なにより、その場ですぐに判断させず、「まずはウエットスーツを来てみて、練習して、そのあと判断してみてー」と言ってくれてた。さらに「深くなるところの手前まで行って、ダメだって思ったら簡単！その場でクルッと回って歩いて帰ってきていいから」とも言ってくれてて、本当に安心できる説明で、実際の検証も出来ただろう。
皆があなた(男性ガイド)のように、いつも海にいるわけではなく、初めてのシュノーケリングが普通だと思います。勿論最終判断は自己責任ですが、初めての人がいることを理解してしっかりと寄り添って説明するのがツアーガイドの役目だと思いました。危険だから辞めてって言うのは、ある意味素人でも出来ます。

I was worried about seasickness, but I took some motion sickness medication and participated. I also bought a wristband that claims to help with seasickness, which was sold on the boat for $20, and wore it! I enjoyed myself without feeling any seasickness at all! The sandbar was deeper than I expected, with water up to the waist of an adult. It started to rain partway through, but even so, as we continued swimming, the rain eventually stopped. The beauty of the ocean's blue color was not affected at all by the rain or clouds! They also provide wetsuits, which are definitely necessary during the rainy season. It was quite cold. The weather was nice and very beautiful! There was a Japanese instructor who really got everyone excited. First, we anchored the boat in shallow water (about knee to waist deep) and had some time to take photos and practice snorkeling. After that, we moved to a larger coral reef area (a spot that was a bit deeper and had a faster current) to snorkel. If you're lucky, you might swim with turtles. When diving into the sea, they provide bread as bait. If you hold that, a lot of fish will come close, so it's a great photo opportunity! The day after heavy rain, the water was a bit murky, but it was still very beautiful.

On the day we went, there was seawater at the sandbar, but we had a great time. The water was a bit cold, but I think it's nice that they provide wetsuits for free. The lunch, especially the meat, was delicious. In the afternoon, we also had Leonard's malasadas, which were tasty. During snorkeling, we were able to see several sea turtles. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit chilly, but the crew was very cheerful and entertaining. The water was incredibly clear and beautiful, truly like paradise! It was a famous spot featured on TV and in magazines, so I wanted to experience it at least once, which is why I joined this tour! The guide's stories were really interesting and they were very kind, making the time on the boat a lot of fun! When we arrived at the sandbar, I asked for some photos, and they happily took many for me, even teaching me various poses, which made for wonderful memories! After that, we went turtle watching, and they pointed out where the sea turtles were. I was so moved to see wild sea turtles for the first time. Seeing so many floating turtles was incredibly cute! Afterward, we were served a hamburger lunch, and having lunch on the boat while looking at the sea was the best! It was super delicious!!! I also got to see a lot of fish up close while snorkeling, which felt amazing! It was absolutely fantastic! The weather was a bit chilly, so when I got back on the boat from the sea, it was very cold, but they provided warm drinks, which helped a lot. We got to visit the sandbar, see sea turtles, have lunch on the boat, and snorkel, and the staff were all friendly and kind, making it truly an exceptional tour! I was really happy to have so many experiences on my first trip to Hawaii! I definitely want to join this tour again in the summer or when it's warm! Experiencing the kindness of the people in Hawaii and the beauty of the sea was amazing! It became the best memory of my trip to Hawaii!
