It was more fun and safe than I expected. I was just hanging on, but for some reason, I felt a sense of accomplishment afterward. I think the conversation with the cute instructor made me feel that way. I felt a bit sorry that my responses weren't great, even though she was trying hard to speak in English. But honestly, it didn't bother me at all. Since it was high and long, it was fast, and looking down, I saw a dense green forest. Looking up, I saw the blue sky. It wasn't quite like being Tarzan, but it was refreshing. However, by the end, I didn't mind it, but for a while after putting it on, the helmet smelled really bad.

I had an absolutely amazing time! (laughs)

I was quite nervous at first, but thanks to the kind staff, I was able to ride without any issues after just a 5-minute briefing. There were ups and downs, and suddenly we passed through a tunnel in the forest that felt like something out of My Neighbor Totoro, riding on horseback. We climbed rocky areas while keeping an eye on free-range cows—it was quite an adventure! Surprisingly, my backside didn't hurt much at all. I kept saying how fun and interesting it was, and even though the experience was supposed to last an hour, they let us ride for about an hour and a half!

They only spoke English, but they talked slowly and clearly, which actually made it feel more authentic. There were just the two of us and another group, so it felt like a private experience! It had more of a Western vibe than a Hawaiian one, though... (laughs)

Above all, the horses were great, and the danger level was zero (☆∀☆). My wife, who doesn't like animals, was able to pet them normally and felt comfortable! If you sign a waiver for accidents beforehand, you can ride without a helmet (laughs). This explanation was a bit complicated, though...

It was truly a wonderful experience that made me feel like I had the great outdoors all to myself and made me love horses even more!

As a commemoration of our honeymoon, we decided to give it a try! Before flying, I was quite timid (wondering why I made the reservation, haha). I was really anxious about the fear of dying or having an accident, but once we actually went, there were many Japanese participants, and the bus driver was fluent in Japanese, which made me feel at ease while diving!

However, since it was my first time overseas, I thought it would have been better to prepare tips in advance and learn more beforehand to avoid any last-minute rush. (It's also written on the voucher, so it's a good idea to read it carefully.)

【Things to Prepare in Advance】
1. Comfortable clothing (jeans, athletic shoes)

2. A copy of your passport
→ It's risky to lose the original.

3. A credit card
→ You need to choose either photo or video fees. Both are also acceptable. I chose the outside camera (where a photographer jumps with you to take pictures), which cost $141 per person.

4. Tips (about $50 per person)
→ The typical tip is around $10 for the driver, $10-$20 for the photographer, and $10-$20 for the instructor.
*Of course, if the service is good, you can give more!

実際行ってみると、日本人の参加者も多くて、バスの運転手さんが日本語が堪能で、安心してダイビングすることができました♪

ただ、慣れない海外なので、チップを用意したり、事前にもっと知っておけば、バタバタせずに済んだかなーと思う点があったので、まとめます。
(バウチャー(予約票)にも書いてあるので、よく読んでおいた方がいいです)


【事前用意しておくと良いもの】
①動きやすい服装(ジーパン、運動靴)

②パスポートのコピー
→原本は無くすと危ないので。

③クレジットカード
→写真代、ビデオ代でどちらかは選ばないといけないので。両方も可。
私は、アウトサイドカメラ(カメラマンが一緒に飛んで撮ってくれる)だったので、1人当たり141＄しました。


④チップ(1人当たり、～50＄程)
→チップは、
運転手(10＄～)、カメラマン(10～20＄)、インストラクター(10～20＄)が相場だそうです。
※もちろんサービスが良ければもっと出しても良いと思います！

私は夫婦で飛んだので、合計で100＄程キャッシュ(現金)でそれぞれに渡しました。
※カメラマン、インストラクターさんのチップは、投票所のような場所に案内されて箱にいれたので、直接渡すわけではないです！

あと、荷物入れのロッカーですが、
25セント×4枚必要なのですが、両替機もあるので、1＄札があれば大丈夫ですよ♪(^^)

This was my second or third horseback riding experience in life. I was a bit worried about riding for two hours, but the horse was smart and followed the horse in front of it perfectly. There were six of us in the group this time. I was told not to let the horse eat grass, so I pulled the reins a few times when it seemed like it wanted to lower its head, but it responded well to my signals to move right or left, which was impressive. We encountered some hills and even crossed a small stream, but I managed to ride without any issues. The problem was that after about an hour, my backside started to hurt. その日は９時台は予定されていなかったので、１１時発のツアーに申し込んだが、迎えは６時５０分の１本だけ。８時過ぎには着いたので、３時間近くも待ち時間があった。帰りはバスのチェックインがすんで１台分人数が集まったら出発という感じであった。空いた時間は海が近くにあるので、海岸まで行ったり馬を近くに見に行ったり、軽食をとる場所やお土産屋さんを見たりくらいの過ごし方しかできず、少し退屈であった。

お迎えのバスがツアーの出時刻に合わせていくつか用意してあればいいなと思った。しかし、非日常の馬に乗って回るという体験ができたことはよかった。

乗馬は楽しかったのですが、他はどうでもいい感じでした。
乗馬だけのオプショナルツアーは成り立たないのだと理解しました。

「乗馬場では鍵のかかるロッカー（無料）がございます」との説明文がホームページやバウチャーに記載されていたので、カメラなど貴重品をロッカー預けようと思っていましたが、実際にはロッカーは無く、ガイドに自分で貴重品を持つように言われて焦りました。
ウエストポーチなど、貴重品を入れられる小さめのバッグを持って行くことをお勧めします。

My first skydiving experience. I came to Hawaii last year, but I couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts, so I was determined to make a comeback this time. However, the weather was unfortunately rainy... I was really anxious, thinking I might not be able to do it, but after waiting for about an hour, we suddenly took off when the sky cleared a bit!

The instructor and the cameraman were both really funny. We boarded the Cessna and headed up into the sky!! Before takeoff, I was so excited that I couldn't contain myself, but gradually I started to feel anxious... (after all, I have a fear of heights... but I love roller coasters!). When the door of the Cessna opened, there was no time to hesitate, and we jumped right into the open sky!!! I was the first one to jump, but others said, "Seeing someone fall from the plane is an indescribable feeling." Once we were flying, it was just pure fun. The moment we landed, I thought, "I want to jump again!" I intended to buy either a photo or a video as a keepsake, but both turned out so great that I ended up purchasing both! (It's definitely better to have the cameraman take the video). I want to jump again the next time I come to Hawaii!

インストラクターさんもカメラマンさんとても面白い方でした。セスナ機に乗っていざ上空へ！！出発前までは楽しみすぎて楽しみすぎてしょうがなかった気持ちが、段々不安に…笑(なんせ、高所恐怖症なもので…でもジェットコースターとかは大好きです！)セスナ機の扉が開いたら、待ったと言う暇もないまま即大空へ！！！私は1番最初だったのですが、他の方は「人が落ちていく姿見るのはなんとも言えない気持ちだった」と仰ってました…笑。飛んでしまえば、ほんとに楽しいの一言でした。着地した瞬間、もう1回飛びたい！と思うほどでした。記念にと写真かビデオを買うつもりにしていましたが、どちらも撮ってくれていたので確認すると、どちらも良すぎて両方購入しました！(ビデオは絶対カメラマンさんに撮ってもらう方がいいです)また次、ハワイに来た時は飛びたいと思います！

Hawaiian Beauty Hiking Shuttle: Diamond Head & Manoa Falls Jurassic Rainforest

I did the Diamond head and Moana hike. Both great! Was picked up in morning a little earlier only because we were out there waiting already. Our driver was friendly and informative of things around town to try. Unfortunately it was our last day there so no time to go and try out. But we had an incident where a women was not happy because a family was late arriving for their pick up ( they said they thought it was somewhere else- so call to confirm but from my experience it’s usually at the entrance of the hotel.) But the lady wasn’t happy cause she was going to miss the sun rise...well driver told her he had to at least give people some time after pick up time to be there. But after all that we were all happy and headed our way. Bring rain jacket if you can to Moana falls hike and good shoes- wet slippery. They have ponchos though just in case. Thanks for the great experience!!! I would use them again next time I come back. Till next time!

I finally went skydiving with my mother! We signed up for the 9 AM session with round-trip hotel transportation, so I woke up at 4 AM and was picked up at the hotel at 5 AM as planned. After stopping at several hotels, there were about 12 people on the bus I was on. We arrived at the airfield in about an hour. There were already around 15 to 20 people there.

We watched a video and listened to explanations, and while waiting for our turn, we could relax freely. Groups of about six people went at a time, and we couldn't choose our order. The Multi-Passenger Raptor UTV tour allows drivers to switch off wherever the lead decides for the group to stop and take pictures. Considering how fully booked this place is, I never felt overwhelmed by the amount of people and during the tour itself, I felt like we were the only people driving around. Each turn led to a scenic view. Our 1 hour tour felt really short. We only stopped once and I was left wanting more. I wouldn't call this a tour because there is no narration or information provided. You simply follow your group and the passenger(s) take pictures/videos.

I've always wanted to try skydiving. I decided to take the plunge for the memories of Hawaii!

There is an indescribable thrill that only those who have experienced it can understand. Jumping out of the Cessna felt like becoming a bird for a moment, and the sensation of swaying as the parachute opened, guided by the instructor, was incredible! The instructors were all fun and made it easy to relax and soar.

As you descend, you get to enjoy the stunning scenery. The emotions are unique to Hawaii. I'm so glad I took on this challenge! I want to jump again!

We had a total of 11 people picked up from Honolulu for the morning course. After arriving and a brief explanation, we waited about an hour before the dive. It wasn't as long of a wait as I expected.

There was a staff member who was fluent in Japanese, so we were able to get by without any particular inconvenience. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, but what he was saying was simple, and he taught us using gestures, which made it reassuring.

Then we took off in the Cessna! Once the door opened, we dropped immediately. There were people waiting behind us to jump, so there was no time to say "Ah, scary!" (laughs). Skydiving really goes by in an instant, but there's no doubt it will be an amazing experience! The free fall was a bit breathless, but it lasts just a moment, so it's bearable (・ω・).

I was fine, but there were about two people who felt sick afterward. If you're prone to motion sickness, it might be wise to take some anti-nausea medication beforehand.

I participated in a plan that included transportation. The pickup was about 20 minutes late. After we got on, there were more pickups, but there was no place to stop, so we kept going around the same area, which I think caused the delay.

They come with a smaller microbus, which has a flashy zipline photo printed on it, making it easy to recognize. The ride lasts about an hour and a half.

11時スタート、13時アップだったのですが帰りのドライバーさんがお腹減ったか聞いてくれて、途中にあるセブンイレブンに寄ってくれました。

あと、皆さんが書かれてたヘルメットについてですが、、かなりやばいです。臭いし濡れてるし気持ち悪かったです。
乗馬自体は、少し飽きたりする部分もありましたが良かったと思います。
ただ、もう乗らないとは思いますが(笑)

I personally am not very good with heights, and I usually can't handle fast rides or anything that involves falling, so I had some anxiety.
