What an amazing experience. The kayaks are great. They are sit-on-top kayaks which makes them much easier to get back on should you capsize or after you get out at the sandbar. The team shows you everything you need to know about the Kayak, how to get out to the sandbar and how to find your way back.

A short 30-45 min paddle out to the sandbar and you are in heaven. Get out in calm, waist deep, crystal clear, warm ocean water and look all around at the beauty and peacefulness nature provides. This was probably the most relaxed I was during the entire vacation. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

It was an amazing day, on a great tour, wonderful site! Somewhat relieved our stress and anxieties during this pandemic.

My kids have been anticipating getting out after a couple of lockdowns in Hawaii due to COVID-19. Saturday morning, while their Dad was off for work, we decided to visit Kualoa Ranch. After reading more of their implementation of COVID-19 safety protocol, we felt safe and confident to take one of their tours, so we decided to book their Movie Sites Tour. I also love the fact that HawaiiActivities.com never fails to provide most up-to-date information which is how we found this to be available on that same day.
Upon entering the premises at Kualoa Ranch, numerous signs were displayed to remind guests and staff about wearing their masks, washing hands/ hand sanitizing, and practice social distancing. At the entrance, they checked our temperature and collected our information (first & last name for each of my party members, an email address, and a phone number for contact tracing. Staff & employees, including our tour guide, were wearing face masks. They also installed Plexiglas in every counter (information desks, check-in, ticket desks).
When we got through the gift shop, and the restaurant, hand sanitizers & disinfecting spray/ wipes were also readily available in many areas. We felt safe.
With everything that has been happening around us, it was a wonderful feeling to be out and explore again. We enjoyed our visit, and the Movie Sites Tour was fun! My son (8-year-old) really loved it and have been asking to go back and do horseback riding. My teenagers said they learned a lot! The tour guide was funny and informative, made us laugh throughout the tour! He has great sense of humor; he even brought a dinosaur toy with him for our photo taking at Jurassic Park and I loved how the photo came out!
It was a great day! We were there as a family 10 years ago and we will visit again in the future.

They accommodated my sudden reservation regarding Hawaii. The sandbar had amazing transparency. The BBQ hamburger I had for lunch was freshly made and very delicious. The boat was also clean and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience.

Since my youngest child was 5 years old, we could only do this course, but I was more than satisfied. Next time, the kids said they want to try driving by themselves! I'm looking forward to experiencing something different.

It was raining from the morning, but miraculously, it cleared up at the sandbar. ☀️ I played volleyball with the staff, and the cold was blown away. The hamburgers for lunch were also hearty and delicious. My child spilled hot cocoa and got burned, but they quickly helped cool it down with ice and even lent us some ointment, which was really helpful. Thanks to the friendly and cheerful staff, we had a wonderful day.

My my what can I say about Captain Bobs?! I have now gone on Captain Bobs Adventure 3 times now!! Everytime I have visited Hawaii, I have taken new friends and family to experience this amazing tour that is fun filled for all ages. The crew is exceptionally welcoming and entertaining and it is just one of the best experiences I've had in Hawaii.

You can either get picked up by their shuttle or drive yourself to the pickup spot and your day goes from about 10:30-3:00pm give or take. They continue the tour rain or shine so if the weather seems kind of gloomy, be sure to take a light rain coat! The first two times I went the weather was nice and sunny, however the last time I went there were scattered showers that were on and off throughout the whole tour. It did get a little chilly but once you're swimming in the water it's not so bad.

My favorite part of Captain Bobs is the Sandbar part where you get to play volleyball, stand in the middle of the ocean, and eat some delicious burgers, beans, and nachos after! You get to see a bunch of sea turtles swimming while on the way to the Snorkeling area and then you get to snorkel among the reef, Since it got kind of chilly after they even gave us hot chocolate/tea!

My recommendations are: bring sunglasses, towel, light rain jacket, water shoes, underwater phone case to take photos, snacks, and most of all, bring your A game to play volleyball!

I think there are several Japanese staff members, so those who don't understand English can participate with peace of mind. Both the Japanese and American staff were very friendly. There is also a shop, so it was great to be able to buy necessary items and souvenirs. I had a lot of fun. This is my best memory from this trip to Hawaii. I definitely want to participate again!

While I was signing the consent form and choosing a helmet, a video about how to handle the horses and safety precautions was playing, so I couldn't watch it much, and since it was my first time riding, I felt very anxious.

I thought I would be able to ride along the beach of Kaneohe Bay as shown in the pictures, but I could only see it from a great distance. Also, it mentioned, "You must have seen that famous tree from the 'What tree is that?' commercial," and I thought I would be able to see that big tree, but I couldn't. (I also couldn't find the monkey pod tree.)

The riding itself was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but the horse was very cute and I had a lot of fun. ^_^ Other people's horses had some unexpected moments, like stopping to eat grass or going to the bathroom. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

他の方のお馬さんは、途中で道草を食べたり、うんちやおしっこをしたりハプニングがありました。

I participated in a beginner mountain biking course. It was a tour where we rode down the mountain on mountain bikes. First, we were driven to the starting point. After adjusting the sizes of the bikes and helmets, we had some time to practice, so it was fine even if it had been a while since I last rode a bike. The downhill ride was very refreshing as I felt the wind rushing past me. The course was from 12 to 3 PM, but since we stopped at various points to take photos and rest, the time flew by. I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and the negative ions, which was a lot of fun, different from being at the beach. As a side note, due to the impact of COVID-19, the park where we were supposed to have lunch was closed, so we received water, sandwiches, and snacks and were taken back to the hotel about 30 minutes earlier than planned. I regret that I was so flustered that I forgot to give a tip. I would like to challenge myself with the intermediate and advanced courses next time, so I look forward to it.

Book this tour! If you love the outdoors and want to enjoy great views, you will not be disappointed. We were picked up on time and taken up into the hills. We participated in a 2-hour course without transportation for 5 people. Since taking the shuttle would mean a longer wait time, we drove there with a rental car. It takes about an hour from Waikiki. This time, we went to the outlet in the morning, so we arrived in less than an hour from there. Our start time was scheduled for 3 PM, but since we arrived early, they changed it to start at 2:30 PM. Kualoa has been the filming location for various movies, and both the mountains and the ocean offer stunning views. Although there are quite a few days with bad weather, we were fortunate to have nice weather this time. It's not often that I get the chance to go horseback riding in Japan, so it was enjoyable. The horses remember the course, and they provide instructions on how to operate them, so there's no need to worry. If you want to store your belongings, there are lockers available. I think it was $5.

I had one of the best time here at the Kualoa Ranch! Although the request I had for a specific time and date was unavailable, a receptionist was able to call and inform me of so. She was able to work with me and was able to fit me and my friend in! She was very nice and informative. I would definitely advise to book in advance of atleast 5 days!

As for the whole experience during our tour was beyond amazing! The tour was beautiful and showed us different scenes of multiple films they produced with a cute little jurassic park video for us! :) Would definitely highly recommend this activity one for the books!! :)

Since this was my first trip to Hawaii, I made a reservation for a tour that I thought would be enjoyable. The bus picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel, which was very helpful. The itinerary included a lot of activities like turtle watching, Angel's Sea, and snorkeling, which was great. I was worried about snorkeling since I'm not very fluent in English, but they provided a full set of equipment for us, and being with many other Japanese people made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy it. At Angel's Sea, the tour guide took a lot of photos and was a wonderful person with a great sense of service, which made me very satisfied! Also, they grilled hamburgers for lunch on the boat, and it was very delicious. I think families with children can enjoy this as well, as the Japanese tour guide took care of small kids during snorkeling. It was a great experience that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own! I highly recommend this for anyone looking to have a fulfilling day!

The ATV tour was great! I know some people were scared to ride the vehicle, but I love a but of adrenaline. So I left wanting more! But we had to stick to the track and keep in a single file. The views are just superb and wish we had more time to soak that in.
Our guide was awesome and took some really cool pictures of us. He was from South America.

I signed up for a one-hour horseback riding course. It was my first time riding, but the horse I rode was very smart and moved along with the horse in front without me having to pull the reins much, so it was surprisingly enjoyable. If I had to be picky, I felt there were a lot of mountain trails, so I would have liked more time riding in the open fields. One hour felt a bit short, so if I have the opportunity to travel to Hawaii again, I would like to sign up for the two-hour course.

I thought that seeing sea turtles while watching them would be a matter of luck, but I was so happy to see many of them. While snorkeling near the coral reefs, the sea turtles really swam right by me and underneath me, which was incredibly moving. Although the sea of angels didn't have a blue sky, the clarity was wonderful, and I really felt it was worth coming!

It was a vast and sacred place, a movie filming location, and horseback riding with wonderful scenery was the best. The horse was smart and seemed experienced, so I could trust it completely without giving too many instructions; it was such a lovely horse. Just one thing… after two hours of riding, my backside started to hurt.

The weather was nice and very beautiful! There was a Japanese instructor who really got everyone excited. First, we anchored the boat in shallow water (about knee to waist deep) and had some time to take photos and practice snorkeling. After that, we moved to a larger coral reef area (a spot that was a bit deeper and had a faster current) to snorkel. If you're lucky, you might swim with turtles. When diving into the sea, they provide bread as bait. If you hold that, a lot of fish will come close, so it's a great photo opportunity! The day after heavy rain, the water was a bit murky, but it was still very beautiful.

I participated in a two-hour Jurassic Park location horseback riding tour with a friend. The departure was almost on time, and we were taken by a large bus along with those doing the buggy rides. Upon arriving at the ranch, we split into groups of Japanese and non-Japanese to hear about the meeting place and time, and we had free time until then. Since it was raining heavily until departure, I thought about borrowing a raincoat, but it was too big and the rain was intermittent, so I ended up not borrowing one. Helmets are mandatory, and there were fewer small sizes available. Backpacks and one-shoulder bags are not allowed, but waist pouches are permitted. It seems you can borrow a saddlebag even if you don’t have a pouch. Before riding, we watched a video explanation and then it was time to ride. I thought the guide would lead us, but my friend's horse was allowed to go ahead because "this horse knows the way," which made for a very free-spirited ride! While I was on the boat, the wind was quite cold, but once we reached the sandbar, I was so captivated by the scenery that I forgot about the cold! The water was incredibly clear and beautiful, truly like paradise! It was a famous spot featured on TV and in magazines, so I wanted to experience it at least once, which is why I joined this tour! The guide's stories were really interesting and they were very kind, making the time on the boat a lot of fun! When we arrived at the sandbar, I asked for some photos, and they happily took many for me, even teaching me various poses, which made for wonderful memories! After that, we went turtle watching, and they pointed out where the sea turtles were. I was so moved to see wild sea turtles for the first time. Seeing so many floating turtles was incredibly cute! Afterward, we were served a hamburger lunch, and having lunch on the boat while looking at the sea was the best! It was super delicious!!! I also got to see a lot of fish up close while snorkeling, which felt amazing! It was absolutely fantastic! The weather was a bit chilly, so when I got back on the boat from the sea, it was very cold, but they provided warm drinks, which helped a lot. We got to visit the sandbar, see sea turtles, have lunch on the boat, and snorkel, and the staff were all friendly and kind, making it truly an exceptional tour! I was really happy to have so many experiences on my first trip to Hawaii! I definitely want to join this tour again in the summer or when it's warm! Experiencing the kindness of the people in Hawaii and the beauty of the sea was amazing! It became the best memory of my trip to Hawaii! If I have friends going to Hawaii, I would definitely want to recommend this tour! I was really happy to participate in such a wonderful tour! Thank you very much! I definitely want to join again!!

船に乗っている時は、風が冷たくて結構寒かったのですが、サンドバーについたら、寒さも忘れるくらい景色に見入ってしまいました！水がすごく透き通っていて、とても綺麗で本当に天国みたいでした！テレビや雑誌などで有名な場所だったので一度は行ってみたくてこのツアーに参加させていただきました！ツアーの方のお話もすごく面白くて、とても優しくて、船に乗っている間もすごく楽しかったです！サンドバーについたときには、お願いをしたら、快く写真をたくさん撮ってくれて、ポーズまで色々教えてくれて、とても素敵な記念になりました！そのあと、ウミガメウォッチングも、ウミガメがいる方向を教えてくれました。はじめて野生のウミガメを見ることが出来てすごく感動しました。プカプカ浮いてるウミガメをたくさん見れてめちゃくちゃ可愛かったです。そのあとは、ハンバーガーのランチを出していただき、海を眺めながら船乗って食べるランチは最高でした！めちゃくちゃ美味しかったです！！！シュノーケルも沢山近くで魚が見れてすごく気持ち良かったです！めちゃくちゃ最高すぎました！気候的にも少し寒かったので、海から船に上がった時はとても寒かったのですが、あったかいドリンクを出してくれて、すごくあったまりました。サンドバーにも行けて、ウミガメも見れて、船の上でランチも食べれて、シュノーケルもできて、スタッフさん達もみんなノリが良くて優しくて本当に至れり尽くせりの最高のツアーでした！はじめてのハワイで、ここまで沢山の体験ができたことは本当に幸せでした！また、是非このツアーで、夏とかあったかいときにまた参加したいなと思いました！！ハワイの方々の優しさと、海の綺麗さに触れられて、最高でした！ハワイ旅行の中でも一番の最高の思い出になりました！周りにハワイに行く友人がいたら、是非紹介したいなと思います！本当に、素敵なツアーに参加できてすごく嬉しかったです！ありがとうございました！また是非参加したいと思います！！
