Ask in advance about Portuguese Man 'O War

I think this rental may be great if someone in your party is familiar with kayaking in Kaneohe Bay, because a guide does not go out with you. Also, we were snorkeling in one of the spots designated on the map we were given and swam right into a group of Portuguese Man 'O War just past the reef. We were stung pretty badly and had to cut our excursion short. We weren't warned about this in advance and saw other folks going out to potentially the same location without warning.

Glad that we chose this tour. Captain and the crew were super helpful throughout the trip. They know the best spots for snorkeling and of sandbar. They went beyond and helped me learn snorkeling. Would definitely book this tour again whenever we want to go to sandbar.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful with lots to do and see on the ranch. I only did the ATV excursion, but all activities seemed to be staffed well with plenty of helpful team members there to direct and inform their guests.

I was able to book a couple days in advance. It turned out tobe one of the most enjoyable days in oahu!! The staff made sure both my mom and I were comfortable the entire time. Mike checked in with us throughout the day and spent extra time showing my mom the basics of snorkeling. The lunch was fantastic too! I recommend this as a must do. If you want to see sea turtles and experience a beautiful sandbar with amazing views do this excursion. You won't be disappointed!!!

Everything was just amazing. Worth every single penny. The crew was so attentive, detailed, helpful, caring, and so much fun! I was the only one with kiddos and pregnant and they checked in on us constantly and helped without asking. Food was amazing. Loved everything about it!

Went on captain bobs back in 2016 when I visited Hawaii and I just had to take my party this time around. Definitely will recommend to everyone I know and will be sure to book captain bobs again on my next trip to Oahu!

Was windy but still pushed on through and made it to the sandbar. Awesome adventure and very beautiful. The water was super clear. Saw corals, and the beautiful scenery which opened my eyes to the wonders of Hawaii!

Loved this experience! It was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a really good guide that made the tour that much better. Loved seeing the movie locations and the amazing views!!
One thing I would recommend is that you wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty (no white clothes) and you wear a buff to cover your mouth and nose. The dust kicked up by the UTVs was really thick! By the end of the ride we were covered in dust and it was affecting my breathing. It was in my ears, up my nose, and in my tear ducts.
Despite that little set back it was an incredible time!

It was a great ride along the park, my tour guide was very knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Would do it again when I'm in Honolulu.
The horses seemed well trained and not overworked, which made me happy and feel better about Riding the horses.
If your in the Honalulu area you must try this activity. Veltra also made it easy for me to book.

The experience was far better then we could have imagined. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Everyone was so nice and did a great job at guiding and explaining everything. You truly get to enjoy every moment and not feel rushed. We were super surprised we got to see so many sea turtles, we were not expecting to see any so that was such a nice surprise. Easy enough for beginners, with incredible nature

The guides who helped us set up were very polite and helpful, let us know where to go to see the most fish, and we had an amazing time snorkeling around coral, fish, sea cucumbers and then we even saw two sea turtles right next to our kayak, which was a highlight of our vacation. highly recommend

Aloha. I'm sorry to hear that you got stung by Man o War. I know they are a pain. Unfortunately, we cannot predict where they will be any more than we can predict where any other marine life would be. Actually, it's way easier to predict where other kinds of marine life may be, but the Man o War can be anywhere. They just drift with the current. People actually being stung is very rare, so I'm sorry to hear you had the misfortune of coming across one. But I do hope it was clearly advertised that this is an unguided rental and not a guided tour of any kind. Thank you. Hope to see you again, this time with no Man o War encounters.
