La prise en charge, l’accueil, le circuit tout était très bien. Le chauffeur nous donnait des renseignements intéressants. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Seule petit bémol le bus n’était pas très confortable et j’ai quelques petites douleurs au dos. J’ai aussi acheté la photo bien que j’ai trouvé le prix exorbitant. The basic English support was available, but there was also a Japanese explanation video for horseback riding, which I watched, so even though it was my first time riding, I quickly understood how to ride.
You wear a helmet while riding. You can leave your luggage in a locker and bring valuables and drinks with you (they lend you a pouch).
I was very satisfied with the experience as I could enjoy the scenery of both mountains and the sea in the great outdoors. The horses were also very well-behaved. It was a bit disappointing that the instructor's explanations about the location were often too far away to hear, but they took several photos for me and sent them to my smartphone. For lunch, I had fish and chips at the café inside Kualoa. It was delicious. I had some concerns after reading reviews that mentioned having too much free time, but I ended up not having enough time as I was busy looking at souvenirs.

Overall, this experience was awesome! The sandbar was about a 3 mile kayak away from where you dock. Not super difficult, took us about 30-40 minutes to get there and once we did, it was awesome. the tide was a little high, the water went up to just below my neck and I'm 6 feet tall. We went out at 11 am. There's not much to see snorkel-wise at the sandbar, which was relayed to us by the staff setting us up. It was just a nice place to stand in the middle of the ocean and have a snack or two. They were also clear on where go on the sand bar and where the restricted zone was.

After the sandbar we went out to the coral reefs just around the corner of where we started. By then though, the sun wasn't too bright (it was a gloomy-ish day). we could only see maybe 10 feet in front of us in the water and all the fish were either hiding or just not there. Coral was nice to see and swim around though. Saw sea turtles in the distance but none in the water while we were in it. Finding the snorkel zones were actually pretty difficult. We spent about 20-30 minutes finding good spots, but there are no markers out there so I'm not even sure if we were in the spots they marked on the map. Only 2 other kayakers came to this area, tried looking around but all gave up after maybe 5-10 minutes.

Still had fun overall though, would do it again. Hopefully they add markers out of the water next time though.

That is important because you are correct, there aren't really any signs or many markers out there. Sadly we're not permitted to put anything like that out there. Most of the reefs only have very basic reef markers that are installed by the State's Division of Aquatic Resources, and us putting any other signs or markers out there would be strictly prohibited. I made a reservation about a week before traveling to the United States, but it seems to be a popular activity, and the desired morning time was fully booked, so I opted for an available afternoon slot. The sand was quite intense, and my whole family ended up covered in sand from head to toe, but we had a great time. Next time, I would like to try horseback riding.

The weather was nice, we played beach volleyball at the sandbar, and we saw many sea turtles. Snorkeling was great too, as we saw a lot of fish, and the hamburgers were delicious. The staff was friendly, and we had a great time.

It was myself and my 17 and 16 year old sons. The tour guides on the trail at the ranch were really nice and informative. So cool to ride through the ranch, up the mountain and overlook the water. Beauty every where you looked. Also, the scenes were movies were filmed was fun to see.
You do get dirty - it was very dry when we went so lots of dust. If it’s wet I image you’re covered in mud. They give you goggles and buffs to cover your nose and mouth. You need them! Another reviewer suggested to bring wipes to wash your face afterwards- solid advice. We did that to get some of the dirt off our faces. Plenty more came off in the shower. Haha
The bus to/ from was comfortable and clean. Only not so great thing I can say is there was a very long wait time from when we arrived at the ranch until our scheduled tour started. Had I known that I maybe would have rented a car and drove up on our own. Price would have been Equivalent, and plenty of other places to stop in along the way. All in all it was a great adventure and I definitely recommend it!

This was so much fun!!! You definitely get super dirty but it is so worth it! You get to see so much of the ranch and the different valleys! We had Jessica as one of our tour guides and she was awesome! She did a lot of fun things with the group to make the experience more fun! If you love Jurassic World, you will love being able to see some cool things from the movie. Definitely a fantastic experience!

The entire experience was wonderful, especially the captain and crew. The food and drinks were great as well. My only complaint is that I wish our time at the sandbar was longer! We spent a good while at the snorkeling reef, but I wish our time at the sandbar was equal in length. 10/10 recommend!!

It's a two-hour ride through the fields and mountains of Kualoa.

For safety, you will wear a helmet, goggles, and a take-home Kualoa-patterned cloth mask. This is because you'll be kicking up sand and dust for two hours. Our family of four shared one vehicle. The driver must have a valid driver's license. If there is no licensed driver, a Kualoa instructor will drive for you.

There are breaks at key points where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, take photos, and explore movie set locations—it's a packed two hours. After the activity, when you look in the mirror, you'll be covered in dust, and you'll end up laughing as you look at each other. That's the vibe.

Since it's hot, please bring plenty of water.

I highly recommend it.

The weather was mostly cloudy, but it hardly rained. The contrast between the white sandbar and the surrounding sea was beautiful. At the turtle point, I encountered many sea turtles, and they were adorable. A little further away, there were a few manta rays, and everyone was excited to see manta rays during the day, which is quite rare! Of course, I was too! This was my second time at the sandbar, and although I haven't experienced perfectly clear weather yet, just being able to see the beautiful contrast of the sea is soothing for the soul!

It was the highlight of my vacation!

I can’t believe it took this long for me to try this excursion. It is an activity I will add to every visit to Oahu. The experience and view is like no other. I was a little worried because I have a younger child (11 yrs old) and we have been kayaking in the past but it only took us 35 minutes to get to the sandbar. Once the rust shook off we were able to get back in 25 minutes. The people on-site were very helpful and supportive. They made sure you had everything you need snorkel equipment, life vests, and dry bags. I would suggest the eight hour if you plan to snorkel at another location outside of the sandbar. That way you can conserve your energy for paddling back.

Authentic experience in a state park! All the staffs were attentive and kind, gave us a good explanation and took care of us. It’s refreshing to find non-commercial experience in a very touristic island. We very much enjoyed our kayak ride.
We visite parts where we could snorkel to swim with turtles and went to sandbar to swim in a picturesque water.
