I participated in the morning tour (*^^*) and saw plenty of sea turtles, plus the view of the sandbar was truly beautiful. However, it was quite cold because it was the rainy season and it rained a lot. But after we arrived at the sandbar, it cleared up.

We also had the opportunity to experience snorkeling. The underwater scenery was really beautiful, but it was a bit disappointing that there were not many fish and they were in deeper areas, making it hard to see them well ( ´△｀). I also felt that the time was a bit short. I wish the snorkeling time had been a little longer and that we could have seen more fish.

However, the scenery is very beautiful and the ocean is lovely, so I think it's worth going to the sandbar.

そしてシュノーケリングを体験させて頂きました海の中は本当にキレイでしたが、魚が少し少なかったのと深いところにいてあまりよく見えなかったのが少し残念でした( ´△｀)またちょっと時間が短かったなぁと思いました。シュノーケリングの時間がもう少し長くて魚が見れたら良かったなぁと思いました。
ただ景色はとてもキレイだし海もキレイなのでサンドバーに行く価値はあると思います。

It was raining and the weather was bad, so the inside of the boat got a bit wet from the sideways rain and strong winds, making it very cold. It's better to bring an extra jacket or towel! There are no changing rooms, so you'll need to change in the restroom, so it's best to wear just your swimsuit that you can easily take off on the way there. ★ Even though the weather was bad, the sandbar looked beautiful. We were able to see several sea turtles! For lunch, the female captain cheerfully grilled hamburgers and served them fresh in sandwiches. ★ They were very delicious. The snorkeling was also a lot of fun with plenty of fish!

On the way back, we couldn't all fit on one bus and had to wait quite a while for the next one, which made me worry about being late for the next tour I had booked. I wish they had better arrangements for the return transportation. By the way, you ride the bus back in your swimsuit, so the air conditioning makes it cold. Let's bring an extra towel!

船が２隻あり、日本人は１隻に集められ乗りました。なので、結構安心してツアーに参加することができました。雨が降っていて天気が悪かったので船の中は横雨と強風で多少濡れてとても寒かったです。羽織やタオルを余計に持って行ったほうがいいですよ！！更衣室がないので、トイレで着替える感じなので、行きは直ぐ脱ぐだけの水着着用で行ったほうがベストです★天気は悪いでしたが、サンドバーも綺麗にみえました。ウミガメも何匹も見ることができました！お昼のランチのハンバーガーも女性のキャプテン（船長さん）が陽気に楽しそうにハンバーグを焼いていて、焼きたてをサンドしてくれます★とてもおいしかったです。シュノーケルも魚が沢山いてとても楽しかったです！！
帰りのバス１台に乗りきれず、次が来る迄、結構待たされ次の予約していたツアーに間に合わないかもということがあったので、帰りの送迎までしっかりしてほしかったです。ちなみに帰りのバスは水着のまま乗るので、クーラーがきいてて寒いです。タオルを余計に持って行きましょう！！

The day we participated was very windy, and as complete beginners, we were anxious, but we had a lot of fun and managed to complete the tour safely. At first, we learned how to hold the paddle and how to change direction on land. Perhaps because the start of the tour was delayed, we didn't practice in the canal as mentioned in the reviews and went straight to the sea! Since it was guided, the staff supported us, and we were able to get out to sea without any issues. However, participants without a guide struggled and kept capsizing at the shoreline, having a hard time getting out to sea. Once we were in the ocean, we just kept paddling... It felt like it took about 30 minutes to reach the island due to the strong wind. By the time we arrived at the island, we were exhausted. There were two guides for four groups of participants, including us. Along the way to the island, we gathered at intervals to ensure we didn’t get too spread out, all aiming for the island together. A pair of girls initially lagged behind, but the guides temporarily towed them with a rope attached to their kayak, so they seemed to enjoy themselves without falling too far behind. The guides took photos while we were kayaking. I was hoping to get some pictures during the kayak trip, so I thought it was a nice service... but although they said they would send them via email, it has been about two months, and I haven't received anything. I feel like I won't be getting them at this point. The way there was tough due to the headwind, but on the way back, it was challenging to avoid drifting into the swimming area without paddling.

If I may say one thing, as someone who has worked in the travel industry, it was a bit problematic that the schedule differed from what was stated here... I think some customers might come based on the itinerary. On the day, the hotel pickup was at 8:30, but when we arrived, we were told, "The kayak tour starts after 11:30," which meant we ended up waiting for nearly two and a half hours. I thought there would be free time after kayaking, so my plans got thrown off. I was advised to eat lunch beforehand, but I was worried about getting seasick, so I couldn't eat much. The return bus was at 2:30, and kayaking ended around 2:00. From there, we walked back to the shop, changed clothes, and answered a survey... We could have changed to a later bus, but everyone seemed to have other plans and wanted to make the most of their time, so we ended up hurrying.

Despite everything, I would definitely like to do it again. The beauty of nature and the fun of kayaking were, of course, wonderful, but all the staff here were friendly and great people. The foreign staff spoke fluent Japanese, and we had a great time.

参加した日が、風がとても強い日で超初心者の私たちは不安でしたが、とても楽しく無事にできました。最初は地上でパドルの持ち方や、方向転換の仕方などを教わりました。ツアー自体の開始が遅かったせいか、ここの口コミで見た運河での練習はなく、いきなり海へ！　ガイド付きだったので、スタッフの方がサポートしてくれて、問題なく海へ出れましたが、横でガイドなしの参加者の方は、波打ち際で何度も何度もひっくり返ったりでなかなか海へ出れずにいました。海に出たらひたすら漕ぐ・・・風が強くて島に着くまで30分くらいかかった気がします。島に着いたらグッタリでした。私たちを含めて4組の参加者に対して2人のガイドさんがついてくれてました。島への道のりの途中途中で間隔が空き過ぎないように集まったりして、皆で島を目指す感じです。女の子2人組も最初遅れがちでしたが、ガイドさんのカヤックと紐で結び一時的に牽引してくれたりしていたので、女の子2人でも遅れることなく楽しそうでした。　ガイドさんがカヤック中に写真を撮ってくれていました。カヤック中の写真を撮りたいなぁと思っていたので、嬉しいサービス・・・だと思ったけど、メールで送ると言われていましたが2か月ほど経っても送られて来ず。もう送られて来ない気がします:( 行きは風が向かい風で大変でしたが、帰りは漕がなくても進んでしまい遊泳区域に入らないようにするのが大変でした。　

一つ言わせてもらえれば、旅行業に携わっていた者としては、ここに記載の日程と違ったのは困りものですかね 。。。日程を見て来るお客さんもいると思うのに。　当日はホテルに8時半ピックアップでしたが、着いたら「カヤックツアーは11時半過ぎからね～」と結局2時間半近く待つハメに。カヤック後に自由時間があると思っていたので、予定が狂いました。お昼を先に食べておいた方が良いと言われたので食べましたが、酔ったら嫌だなぁと思うとあまり喉に通らず。帰りのバスは2時半で、カヤックが終了したのは2時ごろ。そこから歩いてお店に戻り着替えてアンケートに答えて・・・遅いバスに変更も出来ましたが、やはり皆、他にも予定があったり時間を有効に使いたかったのでしょう、急ぐハメになりました。

なんだかんだ言っても、また是非やりたいです。自然の美しさやカヤック自体の楽しさはもちろ んですが、ここのスタッフが皆フレンドリーで良い人ばかり。外国人スタッフも日本語ペラペラで楽しい時間が過ごせました。

I was very satisfied.
The sandbar was disappointing as it was only knee-deep and didn't reach the land.
I was able to see many sea turtles and forgot to make a wish while watching them.
The snorkeling was beautiful with tropical fish gathering around.
I also enjoyed a delicious hamburger for lunch.

However, the sunburn afterward was quite severe...
For those who are going, make sure to take thorough sun protection measures.

I would definitely like to participate again if I have the opportunity next time.

I participated in mid-December 2013. Since Heaven's Beach was fully booked, I chose this one, and I'm glad I did. The atmosphere was great, the hamburgers were delicious, and I had a wonderful time. The staff were all bright and friendly, and the captain was delightful.

I checked the low tide times and made a reservation, but due to the timing, the sandbar was shallow and the water was up to my ankles, so I couldn't see the beach. It's unfortunate, but there's nothing that can be done about it.

I encountered many turtles from the boat, and after getting excited, I went snorkeling. There were fewer fish than I expected, but I still got to see turtles while snorkeling.

I definitely recommend participating and enjoying it to the fullest!

This tour is highly recommended for those who love getting out and active! Our guides Boris and Garrett were very helpful by instructing us on the basics of kayaking and snorkeling. We spent a total of about 1.5 hours snorkeling and about an hour of kayaking. I enjoyed seeing both coral reefs that we visited at the sandbar and loved to learn a little trivia about the place. I saw some wonderful reef fish and some folks even saw turtles. Afterward, we had a home-cooked BBQ lunch. Yum! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and I hope to come again sometime. By the way, this tour is a ran by Holokai Kayak and Snorkel Adventure, a wonderful group that also runs a children's non-profit program Kama'aina Kids, which provides local children with day camps for learning environmental stewardship. Proceeds go to support the He'eia State Park and its programs. This place should be on your must see list!

I used this tour for my honeymoon. I chose this plan for the morning, thinking we would relax in the afternoon. There were several staff members, and two of them understood Japanese, so even though my English is poor, we were able to enjoy the tour until the end without worry. One of the two was a Japanese woman.

I knew it was natural, but I only saw the sea turtles' heads coming up for air far away a few times. They were too far to capture in photos... I regret not being able to see them up close. From other reviews, it seems some people were able to see them at a distance where they could almost touch them, while others saw nothing at all, so it really depends on luck when it comes to the turtles. I’ll just think of myself as lucky for having seen them at all. The little heads that popped up from the surface were cute, though!

Breakfast consisted of sandwiches and taco chips. It felt more like a light snack than a full breakfast. The timing for eating was just after snorkeling, right before we were about to leave, so it was a perfect moment when we were a bit hungry.

One thing to note is that the stay at the sandbar was only 40 minutes, which is quite short. This time includes the sandbar stay, photo taking, snorkeling preparation, snorkeling explanation, and snorkeling itself, so everything felt rushed. We only snorkeled for a few minutes before heading back. I think this tour is great for those who are okay with just a brief experience at the sandbar and snorkeling, especially if they have plans in the afternoon. However, those who want to enjoy snorkeling more might find it insufficient.

On the way back, you will return in your swimsuit! There is no time or facility to change. You’ll get on the bus before your swimsuit dries. You can sit on the bus while still wet, but the air conditioning is on, and it takes about 40 minutes to get to the hotel, so I was freezing and almost got a stomachache. I immediately took a warm shower when I got back to the hotel. I recommend being prepared to change quickly and taking measures against the cold, even without bath towels or changing rooms.

自然のものなのでわかっていましたが、うみがめは遥か遠くの方で息継ぎをしに頭が海面から出てるのが数回見れただけでした。
遠すぎて写真に収めることができず・・・近くで見れなかったのが心残りです。
他の方のクチコミを見ると本当に触れるか触れないかの距離で見れた方もいらっしゃる一方、全然見れなかったという方もいらっしゃるみたいなので、うみがめについては完全に運ですね。
私も見れただけでも幸運だと思うようにします＾＾
ちょこっと海面から出た頭は可愛かったですよ　笑

朝食はサンドイッチとタコスチップス？でした。朝食というよりは軽食という感じです。
食べるタイミングはシュノーケルの後、帰る間際でしたので、ちょっと小腹が空いたなという丁度よいタイミングだったと思います。

注意することとしては、サンドバー滞在時間が４０分と少ないこと。
サンドバー滞在＋写真撮影＋シュノーケル準備＋シュノーケル説明＋シュノーケル　全部含めての４０分なので、全てが大急ぎでした。
シュノーケルも数分したらすぐに引き返す感じでした。
サンドバーもシュノーケルもさわり程度でいい方＋午後から予定がある方には、もってこいのツアーだと思います。
ただ、シュノーケルを沢山楽しみたい方は物足りないと思います。

帰りは水着のまま帰ることになります！
着替える時間や施設はありません。水着が乾く前にバスに乗ることになります。
バスは濡れたままでも座ってＯＫですが、バスの中はクーラーも効いてますし、ホテルまで４０分ほどありますので、寒くて寒くて私はお腹壊す直前でした。
ホテルに帰って即行シャワーで暖をとりました。
バスタオルや更衣室がなくてもサッ着替えれる準備、冷え対策などしていくことをおすすめします。

I participated in this tour with a friend for the second time in Kaneohe.

The weather was great, and the tide at the sandbar was perfect, just above the ankles! The staff were cheerful, and there was one person from Japan, which made me feel at ease.

If I visit Hawaii again, I would definitely want to use this tour company again.

Having a blast at Angel's Sea!! 天使の海に大はしゃぎ！！

It was a budget trip, so our motto was to go wherever we could without relying on tours.

However, this sandbar experience required taking a boat, so we decided to participate!

In the morning, a shuttle bus came right to our accommodation, which made us feel at ease as the tour began.

We headed to the dock with a cheerful guide wearing a captain's hat. Just seeing the captain's hat made us even more excited!

After that, we arrived at the dock and boarded a boat exclusively for Japanese guests!

The sea was wonderful, but the mountains surrounding it were also magnificent. It truly felt like a movie location.

We arrived at the sandbar in no time.

Oh my! The excitement of standing on the sandbar was overwhelming!!

As someone from a landlocked prefecture, it was even more special!!

The depth of the sandbar varies by location, so be sure to find a good spot for photos.

I got overly excited and ended up striking gravure poses while taking pictures (laughs).

We also enjoyed lunch on the boat in a fantastic location.

After that, we moved by boat to see the fish at the coral reef.

From the boat, we encountered several sea turtles, which brought our excitement to its peak.

I had previously gone scuba diving in Guam to see tropical fish, but this snorkeling experience allowed us to see plenty of fish without heavy gear, so I truly realized the value of this plan again!!!

If you're lucky, you can swim with sea turtles!

It's a very enjoyable plan.

However, I had a few questions.

It mentioned that we could disband locally, so I planned to go to Kailua from the dock. I asked another tour company how to get from the dock to Kailua, but they couldn't figure it out, and I was advised to ask the staff on the day.

But when I checked with the staff that day, they said there were no means of transportation from the dock, and I needed to return to the hotel. So, we had to return to the hotel unexpectedly, and due to time constraints, we couldn't do any sightseeing afterward.

It seemed that the local disbanding option was intended for those with rental cars, but honestly, it was unclear.

However, the sandbar was fun, so if there hadn't been any misunderstandings, it would have been a very satisfying tour!

節約旅行だったため、なるべく自分達で行けるところは、ツアーに頼らずにいくがモットーの旅行でした。

しかしこのサンドバーは船に乗らないと体験できない内容でしたので参加を決めました！

朝、宿泊していたすぐ近くまで迎えのバスが来てくれたので、安心してツアーが始まりました。

陽気な船長帽をかぶった男性の案内で船着場まで向かいます。
船長帽をかぶってるだけですが、ワクワクが増してきます！

その後、船着場に到着して日本人専用の船に乗り込み出向です！


海も素晴らしいですが、海を囲む山々も壮大です。さすが映画のロケ地のことはあります。

そんなに時間がかからないで、サンドバーに到着。

んもーー！サンドバーに立てた瞬間の感動はひとしおです！！

私海なし県民なので、余計ですね!!

サンドバーにも場所によって深さが違うので、良いロケーションを探して写真をとってください。

私は無駄にテンションが上がりすぎて、なぜかグラビアポーズをしながら写真撮影をしました(笑)

素晴らしいロケーションの中、舟のうえでのランチも満喫

その後、サンゴ礁でお魚さんを見に舟に乗って移動。


船の上から、何頭かウミガメにも出会えてテンション最高潮。

以前グアムでスキューバダイビングをして熱帯魚鑑賞しましたが、そんな重装備でなく、今回のシュノーケリングで十分にお魚をみれたので、このプランのお得さを再実感！！！

運が良ければウミガメと一緒に泳げます！

とっても満喫できるプランです。


但し何点か疑問点が。

After seeing the photos, I thought it was such a beautiful place that I decided to book a trip to Hawaii.

The result was just okay. The ocean was beautiful, and I was able to see sea turtles up close. The sandbar was nice and clean. However, the snorkeling was a bit disappointing; for safety reasons, we had to swim back along a designated route in the same direction as everyone else, which meant getting kicked by others and it felt cramped. It was like being in a sardine can.

The bus ride to and from the location was very cold, and even with two towels after getting wet, I caught a cold. I think it's really important to prepare for the cold.

海はきれいだし、ウミガメも近くで見えました。
サンドバーは、きれいで、良かったです。ただ、シュノーケルは安全のためなんだろうが、決められたルートをみんなで同じ方向に泳いで戻るというもので、人に蹴られるし、狭くって泳いでる感じはなかったです。芋洗いって感じでした。

行き帰りのバスはとっても寒くって濡れた後バスタオル２枚もっていても風邪ひきました。防寒対策はとっっても重要だと思います。

The instruction was quick and they send you off on your own on a very quick test course. Ive never rode ATVs before and was very nervous but after a while I got used to it. We rode in a line there were 6 of us total including in the guide. I was starting to get tired (it was 85 degrees out) and hands were feeling sore I kept wondering when we were going to stop for a break. We eventually did and the views were breathtaking. The guide let us take some pictures. I was expecting the guide to stop at certain locations and tell us which movies were filmed where, but he barely talked. He just said "Yeah 50 first dates was filmed on the other side of this mountain, so was Jurassic Park.." I already knew that before this "tour" so I didn't learn anything new :( Overall the ride was fun I just expected more.

Tip: They offer you shower caps before you put on the helmet and please do get it!! The helmets smell so bad.

We used this for our first family trip. I wanted to take my parents, who are in their 60s, to do some ocean activities, but I was worried about my mother, who has a disability in her left arm, and whether she could swim. I made a last-minute online reservation after business hours the day before, and it went through smoothly. I received a confirmation email around 7 AM on the day of the activity, and I was picked up at 8:30. The staff member was a cheerful white guy who was quite playful with the customers (laughs). The local staff was a Japanese woman, and I didn't encounter any issues.

What helped the most was having a locker available. The kayak is quite heavy, and it can be a bit challenging to pull it to the launch spot, so having a man around is helpful. I was a complete beginner, but paddling was easy. We were able to fit three people: two adults and one elementary school child.

The sea was not crowded and felt great. I wish we had more time to explore the town of Kailua, as it was a bit disappointing to not have enough time. I was impressed by the white sand and blue sea. I participated with my 5-year-old child, and there were life jackets available for kids, so my child was able to enjoy it safely. I was extremely satisfied.

All the staff were kind and cheerful, and they took great care of my one-year-old daughter. We saw many sea turtles as well. The sandbar was clearly visible as land. The guide mentioned that it’s rare for such a solid beach to appear. However, it was a bit cloudy and drizzling, which was unfortunate, but the tour itself was fantastic. Breakfast consisted of simple ham sandwiches and nachos. I was a bit surprised, but my mother and daughter both enjoyed them, so it was fine. Everything tastes good when you’re out on the sea. It was a wonderful experience.

This kayak trip was awesome. I booked this tour since I heard that snorkeling is awesome in Kaneohe, and I wanted to get away from busy Waikiki. I was picked up from my hotel in Waikiki in the morning, and once we got to the state park, we were greeted by friendly staff at their gift shop where we checked in.

Make sure you bring your insect repellent. I got bit by mosquitos a few times. Once we were briefed and went down to the launch pad, our kayaks were tugged to the boat so we didn't have to kayak all the way to the first snorkel spot. The guide dropped us around the half way, and we kayaked about 15min to get to the Coconut island. The coral was BEAUTIFUL and there were a lot of tropical fish.

After 30min or so, we were then tugged again to the 2nd location. It was awesome since we were already a little tired from snorkeling. I liked the 2nd location at the sandbar, and this spot was also beautiful. The other snorkelers spotted a huge sea turtle.

We then had a chance to choose if we wanted to kayak back or tugged on the boat again. I chose to kayak back, and it was a perfect amount for kayaking for a day.

They had a fresh water shower at the park, and they took us to their BBQ lunch spot where we had a chance to eat delicious lunch with their staff.

Overall, this was a great tour. Especially recommended for families with small children or older people who can't kayak too long. Tugboat was awesome.
