This was my first sandbar experience, and I was super excited! Until yesterday, the weather had been completely clear! But today... it’s all gloomy~~ and there’s even a bit of light rain. When we arrived at the yacht harbor, the rain had stopped, but the sky was still overcast. It was a bit chilly, but we gathered our spirits and set sail for turtle watching.

At 11 o'clock, we spotted a manta ray—wait, a manta ray? Apparently, the chances of seeing one are lower than that of seeing a sea turtle. Lucky us! We were able to see plenty of sea turtles and then headed to the sandbar. The tide was as expected since we checked it beforehand; it was a bit cold at first, but we got used to it quickly. It was a fantastic time, except for the cold water that came up to my waist during high tide! I was amazed by the beautiful sea, just like in the pictures!! I participated in Heaven's Sea with high expectations, and I was completely satisfied! I had researched the tide in advance, so I knew it would be high tide, and after landing on the sandbar, I didn't have to worry about the rising water level. Since the weather can change quickly, it's good to have something to cover up with, as well as an umbrella or raincoat. Bring a swimsuit, shorts, beach sandals, and a hotel towel. You can get on the bus just as you are on the way back. The snorkeling time is quite short, so it's best to think of it as just a little experience. You can see sea turtles and take photos at the sandbar, making for a really enjoyable half-day.

The short boat ride meant I didn't get seasick and was able to enjoy it fully. I had planned to go snorkeling, but unfortunately, it was canceled that day due to faster waves than usual. I hope to participate again next time and enjoy snorkeling. The excitement of standing on the sandbar is something you have to experience to understand. I'm glad I participated.

This was my second time in Hawaii, and I experienced snorkeling for the first time on this tour.

I must say, the quality at this price is exceptional—wonderful sea, food, and time management. There are Japanese staff members present, and there are restrooms on the boat. Drinks are free, and alcohol, including beer and wine, is all $5, payable on the spot.

When sea turtles appear, the staff shouts, "Look at 9 o'clock! 3 o'clock! 1 o'clock!" as they briefly come up for air. I saw many of them too!

Moreover, this is the sea of Sandbar, where my favorite movie Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise, was filmed, as well as scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean. It was truly moving. I highly recommend it.

As the season changes, it can get a bit chilly. A jacket or something similar is essential, and there are warm drinks available. You can return to the hotel in your swimsuit!

This is a half-day optional tour, and it starts early but is very satisfying overall. Thank you very much!

Thanks to this experience, I am now planning my first diving trip in Kerama, Japan.

I visited with my 2 and 5-year-old children. The weather was nice, but the water depth at the sandbar was up to my chest, so it was disappointing that we couldn't see the sandy beach sandbar. There was also an incident where the boat's engine broke down, but the staff made a great effort to keep the atmosphere lively, which I appreciated.

Since the water was deep, I had to carry the kids the whole time. The enjoyment really changes with the water depth, so I think it's important to check the low tide online and consider going when there's a higher chance of the sandbar being exposed. Also, it gets cold on the bus and after coming out of the sea, so a jacket and towel are essential!

After about 40 minutes of being jostled on the bus early in the morning, we boarded a boat from a port-like area and enjoyed sea turtle watching while basking in the morning sun! The guide's explanations were not only easy to understand but also entertaining! Whenever a sea turtle surfaced, the guide would let us know, allowing us to see many turtles. However, since the turtles only appear on the surface for a few seconds, it can be a bit challenging to take photos from the boat.

After watching the sea turtles, we arrived at a sandbar. The scenery was indescribably mysterious! It was hard to tell whether it was the sea or land, shallow or deep... It felt as if we had wandered into an uninhabited island, surrounded by endless sea and mountains. We had about 40 minutes of free time here, so we swam a little, went snorkeling, and enjoyed the view from the boat before breakfast.

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for breakfast, but the sandwiches we ate in nature tasted exceptional. It was like having homemade rice balls in the mountains during a hike in Japan. ウミガメが水面に這い上がってくると、ガイドさんが逐一教えてくださるので、沢山のウミガメを見ることができました。
しかし、ウミガメが水面に姿を現すのは数秒のことなので、船からだと撮影するのは少し難しいです。
ウミガメを見てサンドバーに到着。

海なのか陸なのか、浅瀬なのか沖なのか・・・
無人島に迷い込んでしまったかのような錯覚に陥りそうなほどの、果てしない海。そして山。
ここでは４０分程の自由行動があったので、軽く泳いだりシュノーケリングをしたり、船からの景色を楽しみ、いざ朝食。
朝食は正直言って期待していませんでしたが、自然のなかで食べるサンドイッチは絶品に思えました。
日本で言うとハイキングの途中で、山の中で食べる手作りのおにぎりといったところでしょうか。
日頃のことはすべて忘れて、開放的になりましたね。
こんなに素敵な朝を迎えたのは初めてです。
日によって水位が違うみたいなので、是非また参加したいと思えるツアーでした。
朝が早くても行く価値ありです！！

The pickup was at 9:25 in front of the hotel, but it was 20 minutes late. I was a bit anxious waiting for the first optional tour, thinking that maybe it wouldn't come since there were so many people around.

I chose the day when the water would be shallowest during my stay, but the water level was just below my knees. I was disappointed that I couldn't see the sandbar! However, the weather was nice, and after practicing snorkeling, we had lunch. We enjoyed delicious hamburgers before heading to the coral area. There were lots of fish, and I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle up close. We had an hour of snorkeling time, and my wife also enjoyed snorkeling without getting back on the boat. Time flew by, and we had a really fun time.

First SUP experience...
The day I tried it, there was strong wind and the conditions were poor.
However, along with the others, we were determined and kept paddling (while sitting) towards the uninhabited island, but we lost to the headwind and had to call it a day...
Maybe the instructor understood our desire to stand and paddle, as we got a bit of an extension on our time? We were able to challenge ourselves a little on the river!
The instructor was super energetic and funny, and even delayed our return bus by an hour, which made our afternoon free time shorter!

The day I participated was sunny, and with the high temperatures of midsummer, the water was warm, so I didn't feel cold even after being in the sea for a long time. However, during cooler seasons, it might be tough on the body. I believe there was also a wetsuit rental service available.

The BBQ burgers grilled on the boat were very delicious. You can choose from about three types of juice, including cola and lemonade.
