We participated with three children, including a one-year-old, and two adults. Other activities that included dolphin encounters and snorkeling seemed too expensive, and I thought the snorkeling might scare the kids. Additionally, there were limited boat activities available for a one-year-old, so I thought this sailing would be just right and made a reservation. The size of the boat and the duration of the trip were perfect for the kids, and by chance, we were able to see a school of flying fish and a turtle, which was exciting. The waves made the boat bounce, and the splashes of water were fun for the elementary school kids, while the preschooler clung to me in fear. I couldn't let the one-year-old roam freely, but they fell asleep partway through, allowing us to enjoy the ride at a leisurely pace. It became a very enjoyable memory.

This tour is conducted in English, but even if your English isn't very good, they kindly assist you using translation software. When purchasing tickets or entering, the driver had informed us in advance that we should buy tickets together with the foreign guests who joined us as part of the same group, which made things really easy. Above all, it's a great value! Compared to Japanese-speaking shuttle tours, it's truly reasonable. There was plenty of time to enjoy, so we were able to relax on the beach until it was time for pickup!

Most of the time it was snorkeling in the water where you can see most of the tiny fishes swimming around. I saw a turtle far away when I came on the boat but still was hard to see (even in the camera). Just saw a turtle do a back flip from a 500 meter distance from our boat. To see it very close or in the water while snorkeling, I think it is mostly luck but had a good time with other people on the boat with drinks and snacks too!

I requested a private seat or a window-side seat. The seat was at the very back, right next to the aisle, and close to the restroom, with people constantly passing by, making it impossible to enjoy my meal in peace. Furthermore, the window was partially blocked by stairs and a wall, so there was hardly any sense of privacy or a window-side experience. I was very disappointed, especially since I paid an additional fee to participate. If it had been that seat without the extra cost, I could have accepted it as just bad luck, but given that I paid extra for such a terrible seat, I cannot recommend it... It was very disappointing as it was the last meal of my trip.

Great experience, the staff on the boat were really personable and experienced.
Reminder to those going on the catamaran, wear shorts or something you don’t mind getting wet, no denim or something that will take. Whole to dry as you have to walk through the water to get on the boat and you have to time the stair climb with the waves.
I would recommend this cruise to anyone. The instructions on where to check in were clear and there was a water tap to rinse our feet off after which was nice. This catamaran was smaller than any others I had been on which was great for easy on and off. The mai tai’s were really good too!! Much better than some of the hotel bars we have had.

We utilized the service with my elderly grandparents and two young children, making it a three-generation experience. The staff were very kind, and I was impressed by their consideration for my grandfather in a wheelchair and their interaction with the children. The cruise ship was large and spacious, and the views were exceptionally beautiful. We chose a plan that included photos, and the pictures turned out to be surprisingly beautiful, capturing everyone well, so I was glad we opted for the photo package. Since we booked it for our last night, it was a wonderful experience to reflect on our trip to Hawaii while enjoying the night view of Waikiki.

I had a spectacular experience at the Na Lei Aloha Show! The location is within walking distance from most hotels in Waikiki. The food was the best I've ever had at a luau. The all-you-can-eat buffet at Hyatt Hotel features perfectly cooked prime ribs, short ribs, and pork ribs. It's a seafood lover's paradise! They have high quality snow crab legs, made-to-order sushi, poke station, an incredible variety of salads, hot dishes, and an impressive selection of desserts. It’s hard to pick favorites because every dish was outstanding, I can't wait to go back.

The setting had a lovely intimate atmosphere, and the servers were attentive to every detail. The show was absolutely delightful, highlighting Hawaiian culture and the significance of the Lei, showcasing a wide array of flowers used to create these meaningful flower necklaces. The dancers were incredibly talented, and the storytelling was captivating—I couldn't stop smiling!

I made a reservation for this day thinking it would be great to see the Hilton fireworks. Before boarding, we were welcomed with a show.

Once we boarded and were shown to our seats... I had the impression that in Japan, it's common for two people to sit facing each other, but we were seated side by side instead. I thought it was a considerate arrangement to make conversation easier, but it felt a bit awkward. In front of us were a child and their father seated in the same manner. Next to us was a Japanese couple seated facing each other... I was a bit confused about the seating arrangement.

Before I knew it, we set sail!! The sun gradually began to set.

The food was served in order after we departed. Honestly, there was quite a wait. We had salad, rice, yakisoba, sautéed swordfish, miso grilled chicken, and the main dish, roast beef. The taste was decent. Personally, I found the roast beef a bit too rare for my liking...

While the food was just okay, I really felt the hospitality from the dancers and staff. The show was a lot of fun, and the staff also showcased their dancing skills!! It was a bit strange, but it really got everyone excited!!

Finally, we returned to port after watching the Hilton fireworks. There were various ups and downs, but in the end, it was a very enjoyable time!!

通常日本では２名だと、向かい合わせが一般的と認識してましたが、隣合わせに・・・会話しやすいようにとの気遣いと思うようにしましたが、違和感はありました。そして前にはお子さんとお父さんが同じように隣り合わせに。
そしてまた隣は日本人のカップルが向かい合わせに・・・なんだかどういう席の割り振りやら・・・
そうこうしている間に出航！！
徐々に日が沈み。サンセット！
料理は、出航してから順番に案内されます。正直、結構待ちます。
サラダ、ライス、焼きそば、カジキマグロのソテー、みそ焼きチキン、そしてメイン(？)のローストビーフ。
味は、そこそこおいしかったです。ローストビーフは自分的には少し生っぽくて・・・ダメでした。
ま、料理はそんな感じでしたが、ダンサーやスタッフの皆さんのおもてなしはすごく感じました。
とても楽しいショー、そしてスタッフも負けずとダンスを披露！！これがなんだか微妙なんですが、とても盛り上がりました！！
そしてヒルトンの花火をみて帰港。
いろいろありましたが、終わってみたらとても楽しいひと時でした！！

As we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful cold lei that made us feel welcomed. The location was perfect for Waikiki away from the crowds with stunning views of the ocean/sunset. The food was truly out of this world from just about every thing you could possibly think of. Sushi, meats, a quality salad bar, Korean BBQ, and not to mention the yummy dessert bar. Food for every pallet in the family.

The show was truly engaging, sweet, and wholesome. Based on the history of Waikiki and the importance of flowers being made into leis. Not like any other show i've seen on island. The duration of the activity was perfect, not too long not too short didn't feel rushed to eat or didn't feel like the show was dragging on. Would definitely recommend this for couples and friends looking to celebrate in a unique way.

I thought I would have to join a half-day tour to see sea turtles, but I found a tour in the Waikiki area that only took about 2 to 3 hours, and it was really great.

The instructor continuously pointed out where the sea turtles were while we were snorkeling, so it was easy to follow along and see them! I was very happy to swim with several sea turtles. I plan to request this tour again when I go back to Hawaii.

半日かけたツアーに参加しないとウミガメには会えないかなと思っていたのですが、ワイキキ界隈で2、3時間程度で催行してくれるツアーでとても良かったです。

インストラクターの方が、ウミガメいる場所を随時教えてくれながらのシュノーケリングだった為、ついていけば会える！が叶えられました。何匹ものウミガメと、一緒に泳げたのがとても嬉しかったです。またハワイに行ったらお願いしようと思います。

Celebrating my wife's birthday on the Star of Honolulu! It was organized from the time we were picked up at our hotel by bus to being seated at our reserved table. The ship is divided by what package you purchase (excellent idea). We got a chance to watch fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel beach. But was wonderful was the breezes off the ocean in addition to the wonderful sunset while you have your meal. Your meal is brought to your table by the fantastic wait staff. Live music is performed while dining. Later, there is a hula/chaka show. Before you know it, the night is over. My wife received a special birthday cake that was light as a feather and delicious. We ended our stay in Oahu with this dinner cruise. Best time spent. Would do it again just for the sunsets.

Buffet: Simply put, it’s not good. They advertise roast beef, but it’s just tough. I was astonished that they would serve this quality of food for this price. I think it’s better to buy prepared food at ABC Store.

Staff: I believe it’s just a lack of training, but the quality of guidance and service is not good. The waiter was unfriendly, and after disembarking, there was no greeting or farewell atmosphere; it felt like they were just rushing us off the ship and onto the bus.

Show: They are desperately trying to hype things up. Despite that, the singing isn’t good; it felt like they were just trying to create an atmosphere of excitement by getting everyone to dance. At the end, they called out someone celebrating a birthday, but the surrounding atmosphere was filled with a sense of “???” which made it quite awkward.

Tour Company: They are just replying with template responses to experience posts, so I don’t think there will be any dramatic improvements in the future. They write things like “to strengthen customer service,” but I doubt it will get better.

Sunset: It looks great for photos from the ship. I think it’s better to take proper shots with a DSLR or something similar.

Fireworks: It’s nice that you can see them from the ship. Since people start reserving spots fairly early, it’s better to secure a place for the fireworks rather than watching the meal or show.

Overall: If you’re going to spend this much, I think it’s better to choose another restaurant or upgrade your hotel. Unless you absolutely want to see the fireworks from the ship, I don’t think it’s worth participating, especially on a trip to Hawaii.

ショー:とにかく盛り上げようと必死。その割に歌は上手くない、とにかく踊らせて盛り上げてる感を何とか作り出したいという感じでした。最後にお誕生日の方が呼ばれていましたが、周りの雰囲気としては「???」という空気感で何とも言えない微妙感満載でした。
ツアー会社:体験談の投稿に関して定型文で返信してるだけなので今後劇的に改善されることは無いと思います。「カスタマーサービス強化のための〜」とか書いてありますが、まあ良くなることは無いでしょう。
サンセット:船上から見るので写真映えはします。一眼レフなどでしっかり撮影した方が良いと思います。
花火:船上から見られるのでそこは良いと思います。ある程度早い時間から場所取りが始まるので食事やショーを観るくらいなら花火を観るための場所取りをして待機しておくくらいの方が良いと思います。
総評:この値段を出すくらいなら他のレストランを選ぶことや宿泊ホテルのグレードを上げる方が良いと思います。絶対に船上からの花火を観たいという人以外はせっかくのハワイ旅行ですので参加するべきでは無いと思います。

I capped off our 20th wedding anniversary with this Sunset Cruise. My wife and I were tremendously pleased with everything from start to finish. From the greetings to fireworks everything was on point. The food was delicious and the wait staff was impeccable. The live jazz music was great. I recommend you get the luxury experience with all the options. We enjoyed the 5 star treatment. It was classy and sophisticated. This will be a very memorable experience.

The staff's service was very good! The food was a bit off for Japanese people, and the only thing I liked was the fruit; the rest didn't suit my taste!

The fireworks were farther away than I expected, and I thought it would be nice to see them from the beach! I wouldn't recommend making a reservation if there were no fireworks!

It was a bit cramped, but there wasn't any shaking, and there were lots of cute fish at the artificial reef, making for a very meaningful time. However, I probably wouldn't go on it a second time. The boat to the submarine was nice too! I definitely recommend it.

The plan with transportation to the hotel was reassuring. We were able to see a beautiful sunset and took many great photos. The hula show was wonderful, and I was a bit surprised that the ladies serving drinks also participated in the show.
