We also are a younger couple it seemed maybe more geared toward older folks we called it the “retirement home luau” it was pretty disappointing for the last day of the trip. Also the food was a pre-fixed menu where u were waited on but for a picky eater it was not a good choice. I also went pregnant and the main appetizer was raw fish. I also don’t eat beef so all I was able to have was two tiny pieces of chicken and a small scoop of rice which was very mid. With two shrimps only. We both left hungry from a luau! Which is crazy it is supposed to be plentiful in food.

I went to see the show on the night before my return home. I had a coupon from Veltra, so I was able to book tickets at a lower price through Veltra than on the official Auwana website, which is why I purchased them here. I signed up for this as a highlight of my trip to Hawaii. Since my travel schedule was not set and I applied relatively close to the date, I couldn't get my preferred seats and ended up reserving a lower-tier seat. Although it wasn't a front-row seat, it was close to the stage (second row from the front), and I was able to enjoy a powerful show. The composition was varied and kept me entertained for the full 90 minutes. There was a time during the show for audience participation, which was nostalgic and fun. (I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers.) I think the acrobatic show would be enjoyable for children as well. If you have the time, I definitely recommend checking it out.

When you think of Hawaii, you might imagine a Polynesian show with fire dancing, but this is an indoor magic show.

The magician is a famous person who has appeared on "Tetsuko's Room," but the show is primarily in English. If there are Japanese guests, he will speak a little in Japanese, but it's just a tiny bit.

Perhaps because of that difference, last time there was a sense of unity among the guests and the staff on the cruise, and the show was very lively, which made me very satisfied. This time, many guests seemed uninterested in the show and were not in their seats, leading to a disappointing cruise without that sense of togetherness. The number of cast members in the show was also fewer, possibly due to the impact of COVID-19, and I don't think I will be riding again.

７年前にも体験していて、凄く楽しかったから期待して上船しました。前回はコース料理、今回はビュッフェ。その差なのか前回は船内のお客さんとクルーズで働いてる方みんな一体感がありショーもすごく盛り上がって大満足でした。今回はお客もあまりショーに興味がないのか席にいないかたが多く、一体感とかもなく残念なクルーズでした。ショーのキャストの人数も少なくコロナの影響もあるのか、もう乗ることはないです。

This was my second time on the cruise. Last time, I was seasick and my mood was down. I boarded with some worries, but this time I was fine. The buffet food was delicious! I was able to enjoy the sunset and the fireworks beautifully, which was great! The show was also one of the highlights, and at the end, I participated in the singing and dancing, which was a lot of fun. One disappointing thing was that I requested an alcoholic welcome drink, but it turned out to be a soft drink. Next time, I plan to book a course meal in the third-floor seating.

Although there were a few clouds, the beautiful sunset in Hawaii and the view of Diamond Head from the sea were amazing. The fireworks viewed from the ocean were the highlight. I would love to participate in this activity again when I visit Hawaii next time.
