The Star of Honolulu itself is not a very large ship. When I was guided inside, it was cold!! Even with a summer hoodie, I felt chilly, so I recommend bringing a proper jacket.

I chose the cheapest seats, so I was seated with others and not by the window in the center of the ship. However, you can freely get up from your seat, so when it was sunset time, I interrupted my meal to go see it. This is not a problem, but for elderly people, small children, or honeymooners, it might be better to sit by the window to avoid getting up and down frequently.

When I sat down, appetizers were already placed on the table, and even though the ship hadn't started yet, everyone was eating as soon as they sat down. The food itself was delicious. However, there were too many people, and even after finishing the appetizers, we had to wait a while, plus the ship hadn't departed yet, which was confusing. Rather than catering to individuals, it felt like they catered to the group, as most people finished their appetizers before the steak and crab were served. The steak was delicious! I left my seat to take pictures as the sun was about to set. While I couldn't eat it hot, it was still tasty even when it cooled down. The crab was all-you-can-eat, but since it was the legs, I struggled to eat it and didn't go for seconds. By the way, the staff were busy, so it wasn't immediately replenished when it ran out. After distributing the main dishes and things settled down a bit, they started wandering around with buckets of crab.

As for the show, there was a small stage performance with about three people, and one by one, they danced hula near the tables, but it didn't have the impact of a stage show.

It lacked excitement, so I watched a little and then went outside.

I used the service on Friday and watched the fireworks from Hilton. I thought the ship might just pass by, but they stopped the ship so we could see it right in front of us. There were more fireworks than I expected, so I was glad I went on a Friday.

At the end, they played YMCA, and everyone stood up to dance, but I was fine with just watching the people on stage dance.

Overall, I don't think I'll go again next time. I wouldn't really recommend it to others either. If you have time to spare and there are elderly people who can't do much sightseeing and have nowhere else to go, it might be nice to relax in a window seat.

席は一番安いのにしたので、相席、船の中央で窓際ではないです。でも、自由に席を立てるのでサンセットの時間になったら食事を中断して勝手に見に行ってました。
問題ないですが、ご高齢の方や小さいお子さん、ハネムーンなどは、忙しいので窓側の方が立ったり座ったりせずいいかもしれません。

席につくと、前菜が既に置かれていて、船がスタートしていなくても、みんな勝手に席に着いた人から食べていたので、いただきました。
料理自体は美味しかったです。
ただ、人が多すぎて前菜を食べ終わってもしばらく放置な上、船も出発しないので、困惑しました。個々に合わせるというよりは、集団に合わせるといった感じで大体の人が前菜を食べ終わってからステーキとカニが運ばれてきました。
ステーキ美味しかったです！食べている途中で日が沈みそうだったので席を離れて写真を撮りに行きました。熱々では食べれませんが、まぁ冷めても美味しかったです。
カニ食べ放題でしたが、カニの足のところなので、食べるのに苦戦し、おかわりはしていません。ちなみにこれも、店員さんが忙しいのでなくなってすぐに補充される訳ではないです。メインをみんなに配り終えてある程度落ち着いてからカニ入りバケツを持ってうろうろし出します。

ショーに関しては3人くらいの小さいステージのショーと、食べているテーブルの間にポツポツと1人ずつ立って近くでフラを踊ってくれるのですが、ステージショーみたいな迫力はありません。

盛り上がりにかけるので、ちょっとだけ見て、外に出ました。

金曜日に利用し、ヒルトンからの花火を観ました。通り過ぎるのではないかと思いましたが、目の前で観れるように船を止めてくれます。
思っていたより花火が上がったので、金曜日にしてよかったです。

最後はYMCAなどがかかり、お客様もみんなで立ち上がって踊るのですが、自分はいいので、ステージ上で踊ってるところを観たかったです。

総合的に、次回はないかなと思います。
周りにもあまりオススメしません。
時間を持て余している方、ご高齢の方がいてあまりハードな観光ができず行くところがない方でしたら、窓側の席でゆっくりするにはいいのではないでしょうか。

It was a truly wonderful tour that created amazing memories. There was an American honeymoon couple, and we had a great time during meals. The setting sun was a memory I will cherish for a lifetime. However, I was a bit disappointed that the restaurant crew didn't engage with Japanese people as much compared to others. I wondered if they thought we didn't understand English or if they assumed we wouldn't tip. The tour was fantastic!

When I arrived at the venue, I learned that due to the weather forecast predicting rain, the meal would be indoors. The sky didn't seem like it would rain, so my excitement dropped significantly from the start.

Initially, I planned to make a reservation through the hotel’s website, but it stated that there would be no performance on the Thursday during my stay. I tried booking through Veltra, and it went smoothly. Just to be sure, I inquired and they confirmed that the hotel’s website was incorrect. I appreciated their quick response.

We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed a wonderful sunset cruise. There was singing, a sunset, background music, and hula dancing. This time, I went to Hawaii for the first time on a family trip. On Friday, I signed up for this tour because I heard we could see fireworks from the cruise. I chose the 3-star (lobster & steak) course with seating and photos included.

On the day of the tour, there was a pick-up service from the hotel, but when I arrived at the meeting point, there were so many people! It seemed that not only those who booked through Veltra but also those who booked through JTB and HIS were at the same meeting point. There was no explanation like "If you booked with ⚪︎⚪︎, please line up here," so I was in line (maybe I just couldn't hear because there were too many people), but it didn't seem like they were calling out names, and we weren't moving. When I asked a staff member if I was in the right line for those who booked through Veltra, they said it was fine, but eventually, I found out that line was for JTB customers, and I had to line up again in a different line.

Even though the pick-up time was 16:30, we didn't get on the bus and leave until close to 17:00, which made me worry if everything was okay, and I was already tired before we even started. I don't know if it’s always that crowded and chaotic, but if the buses are different depending on where you booked, I think it would be better to have clear signs or flags and for the staff to explain things.

When we arrived at the port and boarded the cruise, we were welcomed with music and hula dancing, which was exciting. The dinner included appetizers, lobster, steak, and dessert, but unfortunately, it didn't suit my taste. My family said it was fine. It might be a matter of personal preference. The fruits seemed to be self-serve and all-you-can-eat, but it didn't seem like they were replenished. It might be better to go get them early.

We were given tickets in advance for drinks, and we could order two. However, when I tried to order from the staff, they seemed busy, or they said they couldn't help because they were holding things in both hands, or they ignored me, making it quite difficult to place an order. It seemed like each table had a designated staff member, and I thought I could ask them, but they were often not nearby, so I didn't know who to ask.

During dinner, there was live music, creating a nice atmosphere. We also got our photos taken and placed in a nice album, which became a great memory. The weather was good, so the sunset from the cruise was very beautiful. The night view of Waikiki was also stunning and moving. During the fireworks, the cruise stopped at a good spot for viewing. However, since we were a bit far away, it wasn't very impactful. The fireworks lasted about five minutes, but I think seeing fireworks from a cruise is quite rare, so it felt luxurious.

After the fireworks, the show was impressive and very good. At the end, everyone danced in a circle, which was fun. We were also taken back to the hotel, which was convenient. I wasn't sure who to give the tip to, so I ended up not giving one. I was a bit disappointed with the initial gathering, but overall, it was a fun and satisfying tour.

3スター（ロブスター＆ステーキ）、席と写真付きのコースにしました。
当日、宿泊していたホテルまで送迎があったのですが、集合場所に行くとすごい人！
ベルトラから予約した方々だけではなくJTBやHISから予約した方々も同じ集合場所だったようです。
特に⚪︎⚪︎で予約された方はこちらに並んでください等の説明もなかったので、（人が多すぎて聞こえなかっただけかもしれませんが）列に並んでいたんですが、全然点呼されてる様子もなく進まないので、ベルトラから予約したけど、ここの列でいいのか係の人に聞いたらここでいいと言われたので待っていたら結局その列はJTBの人の列で違う列に並び直しになりました。
ピックアップ時間が16:30だったのにバスに乗って出発したのが17:00近くだったので、大丈夫かな？と心配になったし、行く前から疲れました。
いつもあんな人が多くてごちゃごちゃしているのかわかりませんが、予約したところによってバスが違うならわかりやすく看板や旗を出したり係の人が説明したりした方がいいと思いました。
港に着いてクルージングに乗る時に演奏とフラダンス？でお出迎えがあったりワクワクしました。
ディナーは前菜、ロブスター、ステーキ、デザートでしたが残念ながら私は口に合わなかったです。
家族は普通だったと言っています。
好き嫌い分かれるかもしれません。
フルーツはセルフで食べ放題？のようでしたが追加はされてなかったような。。
早めに取りに行った方がいいかもしれません。
ドリンクは事前にチケットが配られて2杯頼めました。
スタッフの方に注文しようとしても忙しそうにしていたり、両手に持ってるから今は無理と言われたり無視されたりして頼むのに一苦労でした。
一応、テーブルごとに担当の係の方が付いてくれてるみたいで、その方に頼めばいいのかな？と思っても近くにいない事が多くて誰に注文していいのかわからなかったです。
ディナー中は生演奏がありいい雰囲気でした。
写真も撮ってもらえて立派なアルバムに入れてもらえたのでいい思い出になりました。
天気も良かったので、クルージングからのサンセットはとても綺麗でした。
ワイキキの街並みの夜景も綺麗で感動しました。
花火の時は、クルージングが止まってくれていい場所で見ることができました。
ただ、少し遠い位置からになるのであまり迫力はありません。
5分くらいの花火でしたが、クルージングから花火を見ることはなかなかないと思うので、贅沢な気分になれました。
花火の後はショーは迫力もあってとてもよかったです。
最後はみんなで輪になって踊ったり楽しかったです。
帰りもホテルまで送ってもらえたので、楽でした。
チップは誰に渡せばいいのかよくわからず、結局渡せませんでした。
最初の集合だけ残念に思いましたが、全体的に楽しく満足できたツアーでした。

My father really wanted to participate, so I was looking for an event that was accessible on foot from our accommodation, and I was able to find just the right one.

At first, I hesitated because the dinner package was a bit pricey, but I thought it would be a great memory for my father, so I booked a Golden Seat, even though I didn't go for the Diamond option.

Since seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, I recommend lining up early. We were actually guided to the front row, where we could feel the heat of the flames and enjoy the show up close. It might have been a bit too close for taking commemorative photos, though...

I think my father was very satisfied and it became a wonderful memory for him.

This was our first cruise in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We booked a 3-star + option for a table for two, but the seats were really close to the ones next to us. I tend to get seasick, so I took some motion sickness medication, but it was quite rocky! I felt a bit nauseous at first.

As for the food, as many have mentioned, it was just average. The lobster was delicious, but my husband doesn't like the fishy taste, so he only ate the legs. I had to look up how to eat it on my phone since I didn't know how.

The interaction with the waiter wasn't great either. When I ordered a Coke because I can't drink alcohol, he exaggeratedly said "No!!" as if it were a crime not to drink. He was a cheerful waiter who spoke a little Japanese, but it didn't feel very enjoyable overall. He seemed to pay more attention to the English-speaking couple next to us and didn't ask us anything. When I pointed out that there was a bug in my husband's beer, he just said "Oh" and took it away without an apology, then brought a new beer and dropped it on the table without a word.

Because of that, the service afterward was also lacking. However, once we went outside, the night view was beautiful, and the final dance was impressive and fun. The stage during dinner was far away, so we couldn't see it well, and it seemed like it was just luck of the draw where you sat. If you were at the edge, you might not see the stage at all.

You can also see fireworks and the night view from above, but there was no explanation about that at all. I thought there must be people who didn't know how to get outside. Overall, there was a lack of information, and there were too few waiters for the number of guests. The food was average, and the service... I don't think it was worth the price.

The atmosphere was fun, so it might be worth going once! Whether it's enjoyable or not really depends on your perspective. If you want to enjoy a leisurely cruise, I think a 5-star option would be better!

3スター+オプションで2人席予約して行ったのですが、隣席とめっちゃ近いです。
酔いやすいので酔い止め飲んでいきましたが、本当にけっこう揺れる！最初少し気持ち悪かったです。
食事はみなさん書かれてる通りふつー、ロブスターは美味しかったですが、（でも旦那さんは生臭いのが苦手なのでロブスターの足部分しか食べませんでした。たしかに魚臭さ？みたいなのはあるので、苦手なひとは苦手かも）食べ方が分からず、携帯で食べ方検索して食べました。
ウエイターさんとの相性もよくなかったかなあ、、
最初にドリンク頼むときに、飲めないのでコーラを頼むと、大げさにノー！！と言われ、まるで飲めないのが罪のよう、、。日本語もちょっと喋れる陽気なウエイターさんでしたが、終始んー？とあまり楽しくなれなかったです。隣の英語喋れるカップルには何かと気を配って話たりしてるのに、こっちには何も聞いてこなかったり、、最初に持ってきた旦那さんのビールに虫が入っていて、虫が入ってる、と指摘するとオーと言ってごめんね、も無しに持っていき、新しいビールを持ってきたら無言でドンっと置いていきました。
そんなこともあったからかその後のサービスもイマイチ、、
でも外にでたら夜景は綺麗だったし、最後のダンスは見応えあって楽しかったです。
でも食事中にしてるステージは遠くてあまり見えず、どこの席になるかは運ですね。はじっこだったりするとステージまったく見えないんじゃ？と思いました。
あと上から花火を見たり夜景を見たりできますが、そんな説明は一切なく、これ外への出方知らない人も絶対いるよなあ、と思いました。
全体的に説明不足、ウエイターさんもお客さんの人数に対して少なすぎ、料理も普通、サービスも、、料金に見合ってはないかなあと思います。
雰囲気は楽しいので、一度は行ってみてもいいかな、と！楽しいかどうかは感じ方次第ですかね！
ゆっくりクルージングを楽しみたい方はやっぱり5スターのがいいと思います！

As soon as we boarded, we took our seats by the deck, and our spirits were lifted. Right after departure, the dinner plates were served, and the service from the waitstaff was excellent! They served with a lot of humor and a skilled touch. The food was filling, with lobster and steak. Even better were two things: the live show and the night view. The haka dance was amazing, and the night view starting from the sunset was captivating. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

I was able to go to the Rock-A-Hula Luau green room package. I got to go explore backstage and get a tiny glimpse of how all the action happens. I also got to take a picture with Michael Jackson before the show. The staff and crew members were very kind and made sure that everything was to my liking. I described this show as a Luau like no other because it was a Luau with a twist. All the music were the classics from Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson with the local culture included into the dance routine and into the stage outfits. The show also featured a local girl with a beautiful voice. For those who would like to watch a Luau in cushioned chairs and indoors I would definitely recommend this Luau to you!

I splurged a little and made a reservation for a VIP seat by the stage. First, we took photos with the star (playing the role of Elvis Presley), then enjoyed some snacks while sipping Mai Tais at the VIP welcome reception. We entered our seats next to the stage through the VIP entrance, and started our meal from the menu in the attached photo. The show began around the time we finished eating.

We enjoyed performances by Johnny Fortuno as Elvis Presley, Corey Melton as Michael Jackson, and Siena Sousa (a singer-songwriter based in Honolulu), along with hula dancing by Rock-a-Hula dancers. This was my second time on a catamaran, and it was still amazing. The best part is that there are not many Japanese people, so I could fully enjoy the sunset cruise in Hawaii. The crew was also quick and responsive, which made for a pleasant experience.

On my first trip to Hawaii, I wanted to see an authentic hula dance show, so I booked this VIP course. I was excited as soon as I walked on the red carpet, and the welcome drink followed by dinner at the VIP seats was delightful. The lobster, along with the main steak and salmon, was satisfying in both volume and service. It was also great to be smoothly guided through the VIP entrance.

The show started with a surprise when a man was lowered upside down right in front of us (even though I had heard about it beforehand). The hula and Polynesian dances were of outstanding quality, and I was captivated by the professional performances. The dancers were incredibly sharp! The impersonations of Elvis and Michael were very well done, and the songs were perfectly suited to our generation (in our 60s), allowing us to enjoy the show from start to finish. The fireman show, where they handled flaming torches, left me in awe—how could they hold those?! I was overwhelmed the entire time.

I also purchased a photo taken with Michael, which became a wonderful memory. I would love to come back to see it again when I visit Hawaii next time.

I thought I wouldn't be able to expect a good meal with a dinner cruise, so I chose a sailing option with free-flow drinks. Although I'm not great on boats, I didn't feel any seasickness at all. The sunset, with its blend of orange and blue turning into pink, was incredibly beautiful, and I was moved to tears by the beauty of nature.

They served alcohol, including Mai Tais and champagne, and for a quick two-hour activity before dinner, it was affordable and just right.

The cruise takes you right in front of Diamond Head from the Sheraton. You can take plenty of picturesque photos.

Overall, I was healed by the beauty of the sky that can only be appreciated from the sea.
