On our last night in Hawaii, we dined here. This was our second visit, having been here during our previous trip to Hawaii as well. The Italian course was just the right amount for us, and we enjoyed it very much. That's why we came back for a second time. I was glad that we were able to sit outside as I had requested the day before. The staff were all very nice, and we had a wonderful time.

ハワイ最後の夜、ディナーとして利用させていただきました。前回のハワイ、そして今回のハワイで2回目の利用です。私達夫婦には量的にとてもいい感じで美味しく食べられるイタリアンのコースです。なので2回目となりました。外の席を前日リクエストしていたら、リクエスト通り座れて良かったです。みんないい感じのスタッフさんで素敵な時間を過ごせました。

I participated in a tour with "Dolphin University" that cruises near the westernmost point of Oahu. There were many Japanese staff members, and their explanations were thorough, allowing me to feel safe and enjoy the experience throughout. On the boat, there were also commentaries about the surrounding islands and scenery, which deepened my understanding of Hawaii's nature and culture. During the cruise, I encountered sea turtles three times and observed a pod of wild dolphins. I was particularly moved by the sight of baby dolphins jumping. After the cruise, I had a snorkeling experience in the deep sea where I couldn't touch the bottom. Swimming with colorful fish gathered around the bait felt like a dream, and it was a highly satisfying tour that allowed me to feel one with nature.

オアフ島最西端付近をクルーズする「イルカ大学」のツアーに参加しました。日本人スタッフが多く、説明も丁寧で終始安心して楽しめました。船上では周囲の島や景色についての解説もあり、ハワイの自然や文化をより深く知ることができました。クルーズ中には3回もウミガメに出会い、野生のイルカの群れも観察。特に子イルカがジャンプする姿には感動しました。クルーズ後は、足のつかないほど深い海でのシュノーケリング体験。餌に集まるカラフルな魚たちと泳ぐのはまさに夢のようで、大自然との一体感を味わえる、非常に満足度の高いツアーでした。

As everyone has mentioned, it is very enjoyable and offers magnificent views.

There are breaks for photo opportunities, but you can fully experience it for a solid two hours.

The downside is the waiting time. I departed from the Sheraton at 8:15 and my experience was scheduled for 10:45, but there was over an hour of waiting before the experience. This is manageable, but after the experience, it ended around 12:50 and I had about three hours until the return bus at 15:45. Even if you take your time for lunch and look at souvenirs, you will have about two hours to spare.

If you want to make the most of your limited travel time, I think it's better to go by rental car.

皆さんが書かれている通り、とても楽しく、雄大な景色を望めます。

写真撮影休憩などはありますが、しっかりたっぷり2時間体験できます。

残念な点は待ち時間です。私は8:15にシェラトン出発、10:45〜体験のコースでしたが、体験前に1時間以上待ち時間があります。こちらはまだしも、体験後は12:50頃に終わって15:45の帰りのバスまで約3時間あります。
昼をゆっくり食べ、お土産をみても2時間ほど持て余します。

限られた旅の時間を有効活用したい方はレンタカーなどで行かれた方がいいと思います。

Captain Bob’s Sandbar Snorkeling Tour was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu! From start to finish, the experience was unforgettable. The crew was absolutely amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was safe while still having a blast. They brought such a fun and laid-back energy to the whole day.

The sandbar was stunning, with crystal-clear water and plenty of time to explore, relax, and take photos. The snorkeling was also fantastic—we saw colorful fish and even a sea turtle!

And let me tell you about the food! The BBQ lunch was delicious, fresh, and just what we needed after swimming and snorkeling. Everything was well-organized and the atmosphere on the boat was so much fun.

I highly, highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Oahu. Whether you’re with family, friends, or traveling solo, this is an experience you don’t want to miss. Mahalo to Captain Bob’s crew for an amazing day!

This excursion was absolutely incredible! We got to hang out on the Kaneohe sandbar for a while. Some people played volleyball, some swam and tested out snorkel gear. We go to just relax and enjoy this amazing location. There were sea turtles and rays when we first got there. The crew grilled up some yummy burgers while we played. We then got back on the boat looking for green sea turtles. So many! We snorkeled around a reef and saw so many incredible fish. This was one of my favorite adventures that we did in Oahu and could not have been in a more beautiful location.

We went out on a very windy day, which did not do anyone any favors. Lots of sick tourists! But that could not be helped as the captain doesn't control the weather. The fishing was awesome! Every person caught a person, and the crew fileted one for us to take home. Lots of varieties of fish to be caught, and were caught.

We were really lucky with our tour because Kilauea started erupting in the morning of our tour day and we had a helicopter tour at 9:00 AM. We were able to see unbelievable sights from the helicopter as we were flying over the caldera.

The downside of it was that everyone else also knew about the eruption and wanted to get to the volcano park so we were stuck in the traffic for hours with others queuing to get into the park. This affected slightly the schedule of our tour, but we still managed to see the main things, and as I had visited the park before, it didn't matter so much to me. The thing I hoped and expected from the tour most was seeing lava spouting up in the air, and that came true!

Just as a reminder, you don't always get to see lava flowing, but the sights overall are still amazing and definitely worth the trip.

小学1、3年の子供と体験しました。
2人とも最初は怖がっていましたが、最終的にはすごく楽しんで、またやりたいと言っていました。

係員の人も、とても雰囲気よくて、盛り上がりました。パラセーリング前の船でのクルージングも気持ちよかったです。
また体験したいと思います。

The crew was very kind, and there were staff members who spoke Japanese, which made me feel at ease. The banana boat was thrilling. Additionally, seeing sea turtles up close was amazing. It was my first experience with stand-up paddleboarding. I was able to stand, but with the waves, it was difficult to go in the direction I wanted. The live music was also great. However, it was disappointing that the sandbar was submerged and not visible.

クルーの皆様はとても親切で、日本語を話せるスタッフもいて、安心して過ごせました。
バナナボート迫力満点。さらにウミガメも間近で見られて最高でした。Supは初体験でした。立つまでは出来るのですが、波もあり、思う方向に進むのが大変でした。
ライブミュージックも良かったです。
ただ、サンドバーは水位が高く見れなかったのが、残念でした。

Unfortunately, when we arrived at Sandbar, the beach was visible, but by the time we received the explanation and got on the canoe that was prepared for us, it was submerged.

You can check the tide schedule on the website, so it's recommended to confirm that before you go, but even without that, you can have a lot of fun.

サンドバーは残念ながら着いた時は浜が見えていたのに、説明受けて、つい手前に用意されていたカヌーに乗ってなんてしてる間に水没。

潮の満ち引きはサイトで調べられるので、確認してから行かれるのがおすすめですが、それ抜きでもとても楽しめます。

Well organized, pleasure experience, big boat, lots of provided activities. Very good.

Fantastic experience! Delivered on everything during this trip! Kids had a blast and we saw turtles, dolphins, octopus, and many fish. Would do it every time that I am here!

**Review**

The round-trip transportation to Hanauma Bay and the rental of snorkeling gear made it easy to enjoy snorkeling with minimal luggage! Even in shallow areas where you can stand, there were fish as big as those in Thailand swimming around, allowing beginners to see many fish, which was a lot of fun. The time spent at Hanauma Bay was also sufficient.

The driver spoke English, but he spoke slowly and used simple language, making it easy to understand. He was friendly during the ride, and I felt the warmth and kindness of the people of Hawaii! It was truly a wonderful experience that will remain a lifelong memory.

I also appreciated that I could enter Hanauma Bay without worrying about the reservation scramble that individuals have to deal with.

**Points for Improvement**

The bus was scheduled to gather at 5:40, but it actually arrived at exactly 6:00. Since there were elderly passengers on the same bus, I understand that delays can happen.

However, there were two emergency contact numbers provided in case of delays, but neither of them was reachable. Both just had an automated message saying, "The office opens at 8 AM, so please call back after that." I waited for 20 minutes and was really starting to feel anxious about whether to leave. I would like to see the emergency contacts made more reliable.

The driver was a good person, and because of his kindness and the beauty of Hanauma Bay, I am very satisfied overall, but I deducted one star due to the phone issues.

【感想】
ハナウマ湾への往復の送迎と、シュノーケリングのための道具を貸し出してくれるので、少ない荷物で快適にシュノーケリングが楽しめました！
海の中で足がつくような浅い場所でも、タイくらいの大きさの魚が泳いでおり、初心者でも何匹も魚を見ることが出来て、とても楽しかったです。
ハナウマベイに滞在できる時間も十分でした。

ドライバーさんも英語で話しますが、ゆっくり目に話してくれたり、簡単な英語で伝えてくれるので理解しやすかったです。
往復の車内でもフレンドリーに話してくださり、ハワイの人の温かさや親切さを感じました！
一生の思い出に残る、本当に良い経験が出来ました。

個人でハナウマ湾に入る時に申し込まなければいけない、ハナウマ湾入場の予約争奪戦を気にせずに確実に入場出来るという点も、安心でした。

【改善して頂きたい点】

バスの集合時刻は5:40集合となっていましたが、実際にバスが到着したのは6:00ちょうどでした。
同じバスのお客さんに高齢の方もいらっしゃったので、到着時間が遅れた事自体は仕方ないと思っています。

ただし、バスの到着が遅れた際に連絡する緊急連絡先のような電話番号が２個案内されていましたが、どちらも繋がりませんでした。
どちらも自動音声で、「事務所のオープンは8時だから、それ以降に電話して下さい」と言う英語の音声が流れるだけでした。
20分待って、本当にもう帰ろうかと思うくらい不安でした。緊急連絡先はしっかり繋がるようにして頂きたいです。

ドライバーさんは良い人でしたので、ドライバーさんの人の良さとハナウマベイの素晴らしさで、総合評価としてはとても満足ですが、電話が繋がらなかったことで星を-1させて頂きました。

I personally used this during my long stay in Honolulu for school. With a departure around 6 AM, I was back at the hotel by just after 10 AM, which allowed me to make good use of my morning. There were only a few people, which added to the private feel, and that was great!

In the morning, we snorkeled in shallow areas due to low tide, but the water was very clear, and I was able to see various fish! According to the guide, it seems that in the afternoon, when the tide is high, we can go further out, but the visibility might decrease a bit. The morning is early, but it seems to be less crowded compared to the afternoon. Both morning and afternoon have their pros and cons.

The guide was also kind and provided helpful advice on how to use the wetsuits and life jackets, as well as how to put on the masks. There are showers and restrooms available on-site.

スクールでホノルル長期滞在時の間に個人的に利用しました。午前6時過ぎ出発で10時過ぎにはホテルに戻られるので朝活の時間の有効活用ができます。人数も数名程度でプライベート感もあり良かったです！
午前の朝は引潮で浅い場所でのシュノーケルとなりますが、海の透明は高く色々なお魚を見ることができました！ガイドさんいわく、午後は満潮になるので沖には出れるみたいですが、透明度は若干下がるみたいです。午前は朝早いですが、午後に比べて空いてるみたいです。午前も午後も一長一短あるみたいです。
ガイドさんも親切でウエットスーツやライフジャケット使用方法、マスク付け方等を親切にアドバイス頂けました。
現地にシャワー、トイレもあります。

First, regarding the location, it's fine to meet at the intersection with traffic lights. There’s a sign right nearby.

The guide is really great, so even those who are not good at English will be totally fine.

It's a more authentic course than you might think. Your clothes and face will get dirty. At the end, there are wet wipes available, and there’s also a simple wash station to clean up. I've been to Hawaii several times, but this is the most interesting experience, so I highly recommend it to everyone. It’s about a 40 to 50-minute taxi ride from Waikiki hotels, costing around $60.

I went parasailing for the first time. I usually don't get motion sickness, but while waiting for others to finish parasailing, I felt really nauseous. Since we were the first ones to go, it didn't affect the parasailing itself, but I definitely got quite sick. Both of the staff members spoke English, and they could speak a little Japanese as well.

初めてパラセールをしました。
普段乗り物酔いはしない方ですが、他の方のパラセールを待っている間にめちゃくちゃ酔いました。私たちが1番初めにやったので、パラセール自体に支障はなかったものの、しっかり酔ってしまいました。
スタッフの方は2人とも英語でしたが、少しだけ日本語も話せていました。

I used this tour company for a family trip (my kids are in 8th and 6th grade). This is my third experience at the sandbar, but I choose this tour company every time. The reasons are that the staff is cheerful and fun, the boat is large and has a roof, you can enjoy light snacks, the live music is exciting, and you can enjoy marine sports. This time, I signed up for the banana boat experience. During the banana boat ride, we spotted a sea turtle, so they stopped the boat for us. They also respond to music requests. Overall, there seems to be a lot of American participants, but there are Japanese staff members guiding us. Other staff members also communicate in broken Japanese. I plan to use this tour again.

家族旅行で利用しました。（子供は中2、小6）
サンドバーは3回目の体験ですが、毎回このツアー会社を選んでいます。
理由は、スタッフが陽気で楽しいこと、船が大きく屋根が付いていること、軽食が楽しめること、音楽生演奏が盛り上がること、マリンスポーツが楽しめることなどです。
今回はバナナボート付きで申し込みました。
バナナボート体験中、途中で海亀を発見したので船を停めてくれました。
音楽はリクエストにも応えてくれます。
全体的にアメリカの参加者が多いイメージですが、日本人スタッフが案内してくれます。他のスタッフも片言の日本語でコミュニケーションしてくれます。
またこのツアーを利用しようと思います。

We had the most amazing time was so much fun. Struggling was great. The sandbar was relaxing. They were able to paddle boat too. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful.

Unfortunately, there was a power line issue (a nearby utility pole fire), and the main attractions were unavailable. I couldn't participate in many attractions... (๑•́︿•̀๑)
However, I really enjoyed the wave pool!
I opted for the lunch package, so it was great to be able to buy lunch without waiting in line during the lunch hour.
The lunch included steak, chicken steak, French fries, salad, fruit, and rice in a buffet style. It was nice that I could have seconds.
It would have been even better if there were a few more options.

タイミング悪く…送電線トラブル（近くで電柱の家事）があり、メインどころのアトラクションが使えないトラブルが発生。あまりアトラクションには参加できず…(๑•́︿•̀๑)
ですが波のプールはめっちゃ楽しめました！
ランチ付きにしたので、お昼時に並ばずに買えて良かったです。
ランチはステーキ、チキンステーキ、フライドポテト、サラダ、フルーツ、ライス…とビュッフェ形式でした。おかわりもできるので、よかったです。
もう少し種類があれば尚よしかな。

Surprised my wife with a Lei greeting and it was spectacular

The staff were all very friendly, but most of the people around were native speakers, and announcements and services were only in English, so those who prefer service in Japanese might find it inconvenient. Inside, there are long benches and long tables, and they guide you according to your group.

The activities were plentiful; my husband enjoyed beach volleyball, and our first-grade child was thrilled to see tropical fish with the floaties and goggles we brought, as well as a life jacket that was available for rent. It seems you can walk in the coral areas, so I think it's essential for children to have beach shoes (that can be worn in the water) to prevent injuries. Adults would also feel more secure having them.

After snorkeling, I spent a relaxing time on a boat with my daughter, enjoying the beautiful sea while riding on a SUP (you don't have to stand). On the way back, everyone was happily dancing to live music, and we were all healed by the aloha music at the end, creating a special memory.

As for snacks, there weren't any meals like sandwiches, and only donuts were provided (which ran out early due to competition), so it's better to bring your own if you think you'll need more. Coffee is made by getting the grounds and adding hot water yourself. Alcohol is available for a fee. There are two toilets, but they don't have automatic flushing, so you have to use the water from the bottle inside the toilet to flush it yourself.

スタッフの方は皆さんとてもフレンドリーでしたが、周りはネイティブの方がほとんどでアナウンスやサービスも英語のみなので日本語でサービスをご希望の方には不便に感じるかもしれません。中は長ベンチと長テーブルの席になっていてグループごとに案内してくれます。

アクティビティは充実しており、夫はビーチバレーを楽しみ、小学校一年生の子供は持参した浮き輪、水中眼鏡と貸し出しがあったライフジャケットでトロピカルなお魚たちを大興奮で見ていました。珊瑚の所は歩けるみたいなので、怪我防止に子供のビーチシューズ(海中で履ける)は必須だと思いました。大人もあった方が安心です。

私はシュノーケリングの後、娘と好きなようにSUPに乗ったり(立たなくていい)綺麗な海を見ながら船でのんびり過ごしました。帰りはライブミュージックでみんな楽しくダンスしていて最後はアロハミュージックに癒されて特別な思い出になりました。

軽食ですが、サンドウィッチなど食事になるものはなく、ドーナツしか用意がなかったので(争奪戦で前半になくなる)足りない人は持参した方が良いです。コーヒーは粉をもらって自分でお湯を入れます。お酒は有料です。
トイレは２つありますが、自動洗浄はなくトイレの中に置いてある水ボトルの水を自分で流します。

The magician has a wonderful personality and entertains everyone. It's fun to see the magic up close. It would be even better if there were non-alcoholic cocktails available.

マジシャンがすごくよい人柄で、みんなを楽しませていただきます。間近でマジックをみると楽しいですね。ノンアルコールカクテルがあるともっと最高です。

If you’re debating on booking this, don’t—— Just DO It! My son and I had the best time with breathtaking view. Our tour guides were knowledgeable on the history and they were amazing photographers as well. Definitely take them up on their offer to take pictures of you and or the family.

Book the tour. You won’t be disappointed!

I had a great time with the cheerful crew who spoke broken Japanese. They were always there to help when I had trouble while canoeing in the sea. The banana boat ride was short but very enjoyable, and I was glad I signed up for it. It was a luxury to listen to live music while eating donuts on the boat. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour.

カタコトの日本語を話せる陽気なクルーと楽しい時間を過ごせました。海でカヌーをした際、困ったときはいつも助けてくれました。
バンパーチューブは短時間でしたがとても楽しく、申し込んで正解でした。
船の中ではドーナツを食べながら生歌を聴けて贅沢でした。
総じて大満足のツアーでした。

I had several things I wanted to confirm before going, but I was very grateful for the prompt and polite replies via email each time. Additionally, there was someone at the reception who spoke Japanese, so I was able to check in without any issues. During the driving instructions, there was also someone who could speak a little Japanese, which allowed me to enjoy the experience without any problems. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that I had to figure out how to get to Hawaii Kai on my own, but other than that, I thought everything was great.

行くまでに確認したい事がいくつも出てきましたが、その都度メールにて丁寧に返信して頂けたので大変助かりました。
また現地でも日本語の話せる方が受付にいらして頂けているので問題無くエントリーもでき、運転の操作説明の際も日本語が片言で話の出来る方がいたので問題なく楽しむ事ができました。
強いて言えばハワイカイまで行くのに自分でなんとかしなければならないところが難点でしたが、それ以外は大変良かったと思います。

The whole staff was so friendly and was so helpful for first timers. It was high tide and we did snorkeling first, the kids loved it learning for the first time. I tried paddle boarding and it was hard for me but still fun. The kids did the banana boat and it was fast and my three year old granddaughter had to ride on the boat instead, but she still had a blast. The band played Island music and it was perfect. We were there at the sandbar for three hours and it was exhausting but still fun. We would love to come here again next year.

Totally recommend you do it. Yes hard work but worth it at the end.

I participated in July. From the shuttle bus stage, I felt at ease with the Japanese guide, Fuko. There was also a restroom break at the port upon arrival.
The boat was clean, had a roof, and was comfortable. Many spinner dolphins came around the boat. Although the time spent searching for dolphins offshore was long, the snorkeling time was short, but I was able to swim with a turtle.
Lastly, even though the course I chose was one that could not be changed or canceled, thank you for accommodating my schedule change.

7月に参加してきました。送迎バスの段階から日本人ガイドのふうこさんと一緒で安心。到着した港では一旦トイレ休憩もあります。
船は清潔で屋根があって過ごしやすいです。たくさんのスピナードルフィンが船の周りに来てくれました。沖までイルカを探しに行く時間が長かったので、シュノーケリングの時間が短かったですが、亀と泳ぐことができました。
最後に私が選んだコースは日程の変更やキャンセルができないものだったにも関わらず、日程変更にご対応いただき、ありがとうございました。

I was not good with heights or screaming, but I didn't feel any sense of falling and was able to enjoy the stunning views. There were no Japanese participants or guides, but it wasn't a problem at all. The photo option was a bit pricey at $40, but I ordered it as a keepsake (I received it on an SD card, so I haven't checked the content yet). Considering that we did it together just once, I don't think the price is that high! It was amazing!

絶叫や高所が苦手でしたが、落ちる感覚は全くなく絶景を楽しめました。
参加者、ガイドには日本人はいなかったですが困ることはなかったです。
写真のオプションは40ドルと少し高めでしたが記念に残るので頼みました。(SDカードで受け取るのでまだ内容確認できていません)
一緒に一度と考えたら値段はそんなに高くないと思います！最高でした！
