The staff provided an explanation about the ecology of whales, which increased my anticipation for discovering mother and baby whales. I was somewhat surprised to learn that the male whale is not the father of the baby but rather a potential mate. The baby whale's spouting was very cute.

係の方が鯨の生態についての説明を入れてくれたので、親子鯨の発見にますます期待が高まりました。雄の鯨は赤ちゃんのお父さんではなく次のお相手だということが多少びっくりでしたが。赤ちゃん鯨の潮吹きがとても可愛かったです。

We participated as a family of five (two adults and three children).

I was worried about whether my elementary school-aged child could go snorkeling, but the staff provided excellent support, allowing my daughter to see dolphins up close! On that day, we were also lucky enough to see a whale jumping, and the staff was quite excited about it. After that, we changed locations for snorkeling in a spot with high visibility. We encountered not only many fish but also sea turtles and sharks, making it an absolutely amazing time!

Dancing on the boat, delicious cheeseburgers, hula dance lessons... it was truly a satisfying tour!

This became our family's top memory from our trip to Hawaii!

小学生の子供がいてシュノーケリング出来るか不安でしたが、スタッフの方が丁寧にサポートしてくれたので、娘もイルカを間近に見る事が出来ました♪
またその日はラッキーな事に、クジラがジャンプしている姿を見る事も出来、スタッフの方も興奮気味☆☆☆
その後ポイントを変え、透明度の高い場所でのシュノーケリング。
たくさんの魚たちだけでなく海がめやサメとも出会え、本当にサイコーの時間を過ごせました！！

船上でのダンス、美味しいチーズバーガー、フラダンスのレッスン・・・とにかく大満足のツアーです！！

我が家のHAWAII旅行１番の思い出になりました！！

This was fun! The day flew by in no time. It was great that not only the kids but also the adults enjoyed it. The departure time was perfect, but I wished I could have enjoyed it until closing. I wonder if this attraction would never get approved in Japan because it's so close to the edge＾＾.

これは楽しい！一日の経過があっという間に感じられました。
子供たちはもちろん、大人まで楽しめたのはよかったです。出発時間は最適でしたが、閉演までずっと楽しみたかったです。
日本ではきっと認可が下りないくらいぎりぎりのアトラクションなのではないかなぁ＾＾

I participated on March 22. Since it was near the end of the season, I was worried about not seeing any whales, but I thought it would be good to enjoy the cruising experience. While we were still on our way to the destination, we saw a spout at the back of the boat. There was no announcement at that time. After that, with the captain's announcement, we were able to see spouts and dark bodies multiple times. When the tail fin was visible, all the participants cheered. The wind was strong, but my whole family was satisfied. Thank you very much.

3月22日に参加しました。シーズンの終わりに近かったので、鯨が見れない不安もあったのですが、クルージングを楽しめれば良いと思い参加しました。まだ目的の場所に向かっている途中、船の後方に潮吹きが見れました。そのときは船内アナウンスもありませんでした。その後、船長のアナウンスとともに、何度も潮吹きや黒い体が見れました。尾びれが見えたときは、参加者がみんな歓声を上げていました。風は強かったのですが、家族全員満足しました。ありがとうございました。

I didn't feel seasick on the large ship, and there was no rocking. Although I couldn't see anything on the way there, we spotted a whale when we turned around! It was off the coast between Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach, showing its back and tail. I was able to capture it on video.

The staff provided explanations, but it was unfortunate that we couldn't hear them well from the first floor. The second floor might be better for staff who want to see far away. I think it's fine for visitors to be on the first floor.

大きな船で揺れもなく酔いませんでした。
行きは観ることができなかったけれど、Ｕターンしたところでクジラを発見！ダイヤモンドヘッドとワイキキビーチの間の沖合辺り。背中と尻尾。動画にも撮ることができました。
スタッフが説明してくれるのですが、１階にいた私たちにはよく聞き取れなかったのが残念です。２階の方が遠くを見渡したいスタッフには良いのかも。見学者は１階でも良いと思います。

I participated on March 24th. Since I tend to get seasick, I took motion sickness medication early, which may have helped, but I did feel a bit nauseous when the waves were rough. However, as soon as we spotted the whale, my seasickness disappeared. The sweet potato-like dish was delicious, and I even had seconds on the cookies. When the whale was spotted, there was a cheer from everyone.

３月２４日に参加しました。船酔いするので酔い止めを早めに飲んだせいか、一時波がきつい時だけ酔いましたがその後すぐくじらがみつかり酔いも吹っ飛びました。さつまいもみたいなのがおいしかったのと、クッキーもおかわりさました。
くじらが見えた時は、喚声があがりました。

I had a great time encountering sea turtles! The hamburgers were delicious, and the staff was very polite and pleasant. However, my third-grade son seemed a bit scared of snorkeling.

ウミガメにも出逢えて楽しかったです！ハンバーガーも美味しく、スタッフはとても丁寧で気持ち良かったです。ただ小学3年生の息子はシュノーケリングが少し怖かったようです。

In Japan, there are long lines for attractions, but here in Hawaii, you can wait without much stress, as expected ( ´ ▽ ` ). I went during the peak season, but I chose a weekday.

First, I headed straight to the lockers. After that, I just enjoyed the "less crowded attractions" as much as possible. I chose a course without lunch included, but the hot dogs at the concession stand were delicious. Honestly, when you're hungry, anything tastes good.

I felt it was a waste of time to have lunch, so I picked a course without a buffet, and it was the right choice since my kids were more into playing than eating. However, if you miss the timing to line up at the concession stand, you might lose about 30 minutes… so it's best to buy early.

I want to go again!

日本では長蛇の列…状態のアトラクションもここならそんなにストレスなく待てるのは、さすがハワイ( ´ ▽ ` )
行った時期はオンシーズンだったけど、平日を選んだ。
まずはロッカーにまっしぐら。その後は、とにかく「空いてるアトラクション」から楽しみまくるのみ。
ランチのついてないコースを選んだけど、売店のホットドックは美味しかったよ。てゆーか、腹空いてりゃ何でも美味しいし。
ランチの時間がもったいないからバイキングのついてないコースを選んだけど、子供も「飯より遊び」て感じだったから正解だった。
ただ、売店に並ぶタイミングをミスると30分くらいはロスするかも…
早めに買うべし。
また行きたいな~

WOW! From the moment we arrived at the pier (we drove as we had a toddler with us) Jenner was playful and set a great mood. Everyone was excited for a day on the water, even though the weather didn't look too great. The Sandbar was fantastic, it's a unique experience being in the middle of the ocean, walking around. My husband had NEVER snorkeled before and found it hard to put the experience into words; he saw fish he'd only ever seen in documentaries and he was fascinated by the colours and the way they would swim around him... he's now officially addicted. Lunch was really good; well organised, quick and tasty. Our little one kinda freaked out on the boat and the staff were great with cheering him up. Jenner played his guitar while we ate and I've never felt more relaxed and like I was "in Hawaii". We saw turtles, the coral reef we moved to after the sand bar was unbelievable - the marine life is abundant and a hot cocoa at the end of a day snorkeling in cooler water was a perfect e

It was said that we couldn't get closer than 100 yards (just under 100 meters) for whale protection, but I felt like we could see the whales' tails, spouts, and backs from a few hundred meters away. I chose a plan that included lunch and transportation, but the lunch might have been unnecessary. (During the meal, there were announcements about whale sightings, so I couldn't eat in peace, and the food got cold and wasn't tasty.)

I think it would be better to separate the experiences: a reasonable morning tour focused on whale watching, and a sunset dinner cruise on the same Star of Honolulu for enjoying a meal. Also, since the whales were quite far away, I feel that my child wouldn't be very impressed even when they grow up a bit more. (Unless we were lucky enough to have the whales come closer.)

I chose the transportation option, but the area around Aloha Tower, where the boat departs, has a small mall, and it seemed like a nice place to stroll, so it might be better to take a taxi ourselves.

100ヤード（100メートル弱）以内には、鯨保護のために近寄れないとのことでしたが、感覚的には数百メートル先で鯨さんの尻尾や潮吹き、数回背中などが望めました。　私は1歳8ヶ月の子連れで、ランチつき、送迎付のプランを選択しましたが、ランチは余計だったかもしれません。（食べている間にも鯨発見！のアナウンスが流れたりして落ち着いて食べられず、冷めてしまって美味しくないので）
なので、鯨を見るなら鯨を見る、に集中したリーズナブルな午前中のツアー、お食事を楽しむなら同じスターオブホノルル号で行くサンセットディナークルーズ、と分けたほうが良いような気がしました。　また、あまりに鯨が遠いので、子どもは相当大きくなってもあまり感動しない気がします。（運良く近くに来てくれれば別でしょうけれども）。　
送迎付を選びましたが、船の発着するアロハタワー近辺はちょっとしたモールもあって、お散歩するのも楽しそうだったので自分たちでタクシーで行くほうが良いかもしれません。　

My dream of standing on a sandbar during my trip to Hawaii came true, and it was amazing. When I walked on the sandbar, the water was about ankle-deep, but standing there, I could see a beautiful panoramic view of the blue ocean, which felt wonderful. The staff kindly offered to take photos, saying, "Let’s take some pictures," and they captured various angles for us.

For snorkeling, I was provided with a life jacket, snorkel, and aqua pole (a cylindrical float), and I got ready. Since it was my first time snorkeling, they taught me how to use the equipment, and I swam. When I swam to the area with coral, I could see many small fish swimming around. I think it would be better to practice snorkeling beforehand so that you can swim further and enjoy it more. Those who were just in swimsuits looked a bit cold, but I wasn’t cold because I wore a short-sleeve T-shirt over my swimsuit.

The staff explained everything in Japanese, which made it easy to understand and reassuring. On the way, we also saw three large sea turtles swimming. It was a fun cruise tour, and I would love to go again.

ハワイ旅行でサンドバーの上に立つ夢がかない最高でした。サンドバーの上を歩くと水が足首くらいまであったけれどその上に立ち一面パノラマできれいな青い海が見えてとても気持ち良かったです。スタッフの方は「写真を撮りましょう。」と親切に声をかけて下さりいろいろな方向を向いた写真を撮って下さいました。
　
シュノーケリングでは、ライフジャケット、シュノーケル、アクアポール（円筒形ビート板）を貸してもらい身支度しました。スノーケリングは初めてでしたので使い方を教えてもらい泳ぎました。サンゴのある所まで泳いで行くと小魚がたくさん泳いでいるのが見えました。シュノーケリングは事前に練習して行く方が遠くまで泳げて楽しめると思いました。水着だけの人は少し寒そうでしたが私は、水着の上に半袖Ｔシャツを着ていたので寒くなかったです。

スタッフの方が日本語で話して説明して下さったのでよくわかり安心できました。また、行く途中に３びき大きなウミガメが泳いでいるのを見ました。楽しいクルーズツアーでした。また、行ってみたいです

For a long time, a mother and baby whale were near the boat!
I was able to see them flapping their tails and jumping☆
They said it's rare to see this much (^^)
I thought it would be nice just to be on the boat even if I couldn't see them, so I was very happy♪

I participated in the whale watching tour, but as others have mentioned, it didn't feel like that at all; cruising was the main focus. However, I originally signed up knowing that and thought it would be lucky if I got to see any whales, so I enjoyed it normally. Of course, I didn't see any whales, but I was satisfied...

ホエールウォッチングということで参加しましたが、他の書き込み通りそんな感じはさらさら無い、クルージングがメインです。でも元々それを承知で見れたらラッキーくらいで申し込んだので普通に楽しめました。もちろん？クジラは見られませんでしたけど満足でした。。。

This is something that depends on nature, so it's hard to say...

I chose to participate in Navatek because the STAR OF HONOLULU has a larger ship, making it difficult to get a window seat.

I saw the spout and tail fins about eight times, but unfortunately, I couldn't see the main body. However, the weather was pleasant, and I enjoyed the nature tour.

Onboard, the nature guide provided constant commentary (in English). There was one Japanese guide, but their explanations were quite soft-spoken and difficult to hear, which was disappointing. Since there were many Japanese guests, I hope they can improve on this.

There are many decks, so if it’s not crowded, there was plenty of space to wait outside for the whales.

こればかりは自然が相手なので、何とも言えませんが・・・

STAR OF HONOLULUの方は船が大きすぎるので、窓側が
取りにくいだろうとこちらのナバテックに参加しました。

8回ほど、潮吹きと尾びれが見えましたが、本体は残念ながら拝めず。
でも気持ちの良い天気で、Natureツアーを楽しみました。

船内ではネイチャーガイドさんが常に実況中継をしてくれます。（英語）
邦人ガイドさんがお一人いらっしゃいましたが、小声でつかえつかえの
説明なので、かなり聞き取りにくいのが残念なところ。
邦人のお客様も多いので、ぜひ頑張ってください。

デッキの数は多いので、満員でなければ、外でクジラ待ちをするスペースは
じゅうぶんありました。

I participated in the morning whale watching cruise with Star of Honolulu (without breakfast buffet).

After boarding, we were guided to seats on the first floor, where everyone listened to a whale watching lecture. There was an explanation in English followed by one in Japanese. Once the lecture was over, we dispersed to wait for the whales to appear at our preferred spots (most people went to the top deck, the fourth floor). The ship also provides free motion sickness medication, but you'll need water to take it.

When a whale is spotted, they announce the direction and distance over the loudspeaker. I was able to catch a glimpse of the spout and tail. You can leisurely enjoy the view of Honolulu from the sea, which is nice for those who want to relax, but if you're expecting to see whales up close in a dramatic way, it might not meet your expectations.

By the way, the parking at Aloha Tower costs $3 for the first 30 minutes, and then $3 for every additional 30 minutes, so it might be good to time your arrival with the departure time. In the morning, the shops were still closed. The second floor of the shopping arcade was under renovation and closed.

スターオブホノルルの午前中のホエールウォッチングクルーズに参加しました。（朝食ビュッフェ無し）

乗船して１階の席に案内され、ホエールウォッチングのレクチャーをみんなで聴きます。英語の後、日本語での解説があります。　レクチャーが終わると解散、好きな場所でクジラの出現を待ちます。（ほとんどの方々が最上階・４階のデッキへ）
船内で酔い止めも無料で配ってくれますが、飲むのに水が必要です。

クジラを見つけると、放送で方向と距離を教えてくれます。
潮吹きや尻尾がチラッと見ることができました。
海からのホノルルの街をのんびりと眺めることができるので、
のんびりしたい方には良いと思いますが、クジラを間近で迫力ある姿を期待すると、いまひとつかもしれません。

ちなみに、アロハタワーの駐車場は、最初の３０分で３ドル、その後３０分毎に３ドル掛かるので、出港時間に合わせて行くのが良いかも。朝はまだお店は開いていませんでした。
ショッピングアーケードの２階は改装中で閉鎖されていました。

I was surprised by the number of foreign participants, more than I expected. We were able to see the whale's tail and spouting, and the children were very happy. Aloha Tower is a stop for the Waikiki Trolley, so if you participate in the afternoon, you might not need transportation. Our family used the morning service, so we opted for transportation, but on the way back, we asked the driver to drop us off at Ala Moana Center. I would like to participate again if the opportunity arises. Thank you very much.

思ったより外国人の参加が多く驚きました。
クジラのしっぽと潮吹きが確認でき、子どもたちも大喜びでした。
アロハタワーはワイキキトロリーの停留所なので、午後の参加なら送迎は不要かも。我が家は午前利用だったので送迎付きにしましたが、帰りは運転手さんに申し出てアラモアナセンターで降ろしてもらいました。
また機会があれば参加したいです。

Since it was March, it was a bit chilly. I recommend participating in this tour during warmer times. The water was cold, and we walked towards the sandbar while enduring it a little. If you’re not good with the cold, definitely bring a rash guard! When I participated, there was no beach, and I was about 20 centimeters submerged in water at the sandbar. So, if you’re aiming for a complete beach experience, it might be better to check the timing. As for snorkeling, I thought we would be doing it in shallow areas, but it was actually quite deep, which might be tough for first-timers, children, or those who aren’t strong swimmers. My mother, who was with me, said she was scared and watched from the board. However, while we were on the boat, we saw a manta ray and a sea turtle, which was very exciting! I heard that on lucky days, you can see both!

時期が３月という事もあり肌寒かったです。こちらのツアーは温かい時期に参加される事をオススメします。水も冷たく、少し我慢しながらサンドバーめがけてあるいていきました。寒いのが苦手な方はぜひラッシュガードを！私が参加したときは、砂浜はでてこず、サンドバーでも２０センチ位水につかっていました。なので、完全な砂浜を目的にしている方は時期を確認されていてからの方が良いかもしれませんね。シュノーケリングは、浅い所でやるのかと思いきや、結構深い所だったので、初めてシュノーケリングする方や子供さんや泳ぎが不得意という方には厳しいかもしれません。同行した母は、怖いといってボードで見ていました。でも、ボートで走っている途中では、マンタとウミガメが見れ、とても感激しました！運が良い日は両方見られるらしいですよ！

I think the whales were sleeping that morning of my cruise, but we did see some activity - although not much. The cruise guarantees a whale sighting and that happened, but would have liked to see more than a few spouts, humps, and one tail. But, as guaranteed, we saw a whale so we got what we paid for. Sometimes, it's just luck of the draw. Well worth the trip, and would do it again (hoping for more activity next time!!).

Unfortunately, the whales did not appear, but we enjoyed the cruise. Since it's nature, it was just unlucky. Even though breakfast was included, we were offered drinks for an additional charge, which left us feeling dissatisfied with the tour. What a shame.

This is my fourth time participating. This time I joined alone. No matter how many times I participate, this tour is the best. The staff's service is excellent, and I can enjoy myself throughout. Swimming with wild dolphins, seeing sea turtles, eating hamburgers, and dancing the hula. It's very luxurious.

4回目の参加です。今回は1人で参加しました。何度参加してもこのツアーは最高です。スタッフの方の対応がとてもよく、終始楽しむことができます。野生のイルカと泳ぎ、海ガメを見て、ハンバーガー食べてフラダンスを踊る。とても贅沢です。

I participated with a friend.
This was the cheapest morning course, which didn't include breakfast.
Shortly after boarding the boat, we were able to see a whale's tail just once. After that, they didn't appear much, and my friend and I were talking about how it was nice to enjoy the beautiful sea and the scenery of Oahu, even if it was cheap. Then, towards the end, we were able to see many whales.
I was so focused on watching that I couldn't take good photos, but it was truly moving to see the whales.
Also, the sea is beautiful, so just cruising is really enjoyable.
Next time, I want to save money and try a dinner cruise as well.

友人と２人で参加しました。
ブレックファーストも付いていない、一番安い午前のコースです。
船に乗ってから割とすぐに、１度だけクジラの尾ひれを見ることができました。その後は、なかなか現れてくれず、友人とも、まぁ安かったしクルージングできれいな海やオアフ島の様子を見られるだけでも気持ちいいし良かったよねと話していたら、最後らへんでたくさん姿を見せてくれました。
見るのに必死で写真はうまく取れませんでしたが、クジラの姿を見られた時は感動しますよ。
また、海がきれいなので、クルージングするだけでも本当に気持ちいいです。
今度はお金をためて、ディナークルージングにも参加してみたいなと思います。

I'm glad I was able to make effective use of my time from the morning. I was able to see whales up close several times.
The information on the website regarding whether meals are included is unclear.
Also, while the meal upgrades are a bit pricey, they are within an acceptable range.

I joined the tour hoping to swim with dolphins, but unfortunately, the weather was not favorable. The waves were high, and it rained occasionally, making it quite cold.

Fortunately, when we reached the dolphin point, we spotted a pod of wild dolphins, and cheers erupted on the boat. As we entered the water and approached the dolphins, they swiftly swam past us. The dolphins were so fast, and it was just a fleeting moment, but it was exhilarating! After confirming that everyone had seen the dolphins, we got back on the boat, and once again, we chased after them. The captain offered, "Shall we go in again?" but due to the cold, no one was eager to raise their hands.

After enjoying delicious cheeseburgers made by the captain, we went snorkeling. We spotted whales in the distance a few times during our journey, but unfortunately, I could only see their spouts.

Because of the high waves, we snorkeled at a point inside the breakwater near the port, but the water was cold and murky due to the rain, so we couldn't enjoy it fully. However, we did manage to see several types of fish, sea urchins, and a large school of slender fish that looked like saury.

After getting off the boat, we had a hula dance lesson at a park near the port. While staff member Yuka asked on the bus, "Shall we cancel because of the rain?" miraculously, the sky suddenly cleared. We wrapped pareos around our waists, adorned our heads and wrists with leis, and had a fun lesson under the guidance of the hula teacher. The music was played by a ukulele player who resembled Hiro from Yasuda Circus. There was also an explanation of hula tools, allowing us to experience Hawaiian culture.

The staff on today's tour were fantastic. Yuka, our caretaker, was charming and kind, with great attention to detail. Captain John was very generous, putting three lucky cheeseburgers on our plates. The two local boys were also a lot of fun. DJ Kekoa resembled Taka from Taka and Toshi, full of mischief, and was skilled at playing the ukulele and singing. The tall and young Patrick was an excellent dancer.

I would love to go back and meet them and the dolphins again on a sunny day.

For those participating, I recommend taking motion sickness medication.

イルカと泳げることを期待して参加したツアーですが、天候に恵まれず、波は高く、雨が時々降って寒かったです。

幸い、イルカポイントに達すると野生のイルカの群れを発見、船内に歓声があがりました。
海に入ってイルカの群れに近づくと、海中をイルカの群れがサーッと横切って行きました。
イルカのスピードが速くて、ほんの一瞬のことでしたが、感激！
全員がイルカを見られたことを確認して船に上がり、再び、船はイルカを追いかけました。
船長の「もう一度入る？」というオファーがありましたが、寒さのため、誰も積極的に手を上げません。

船長が作ったおいしいチーズバーガーをいただいた後はシュノーケリング。
寄港途中に何度かクジラが遠くに見えたようですが、残念ながら、私は潮吹きしか確認できませんでした。

波が高かったので、港近くの防波堤の内側のポイントでシュノーケルしましたが、水が冷たかったし、雨の影響で水が濁っていて十分に楽しめませんでした。
でも、何種類かの魚やウニ、サヨリみたいな細い魚の大群は確認できました。

船から降りた後、港そばの公園でフラダンス講習。
「雨なのでやめますか？」とバスの中でスタッフのゆかさんが問いかけている間に、不思議なことに突如青空に。
パレオを腰に巻き、頭と手首にレイをつけ、フラの先生の指導で楽しいレッスンです。
演奏は安田サーカスのヒロ君似のウクレレ。
フラの道具の説明もあり、ハワイアン・カルチャーにふれることができました。

今日のツアー、スタッフがとってもよかったです。
お世話係のゆかさんはとってもチャーミングでやさしく、気配り十分。
船長ジョンさんはチーズバーガーに当たりを3つ入れてくれるなどサービス精神たっぷり。
二人のロコボーイも楽しいです。
DJケコアはタカアンドトシのタカ似で、茶目っ気たっぷりでウクレレや歌も上手。
長身で若いパトリックはダンスがとっても上手。

天気のいい時にまた再び彼らとイルカに会いに行きたいです。

参加されるみなさん、酔い止め薬の服用をお勧めします。

I decided to participate in whale watching since it was only available during the winter season. I opted for the transportation service, which made getting around easy. I was torn between taking a small boat, but I chose this larger boat because I was worried about seasickness. In reality, the waves were quite high, so I think it’s better for those who are prone to seasickness to choose this boat. I was able to see whales several times. However, since they weren't very close, it wasn't that moving. Still, the view from the sea was very beautiful, so I think it’s worth participating at least once.

ホエールウォッチングは、冬のシーズンだけということだったので参加してみました。
送迎付きにしたので移動が楽でした。
小さい船にするか迷ったのですが、船酔いが心配だったのでこちらの大きな船にしたのですが、実際結構波が高かったので、酔いやすい人はこの船にした方がいいと思います。
クジラは何度か見れました。ただ、間近ではないのでそんなに感動はしませんでした。でも、海からの景色もとてもきれいだったので、一度参加してみるのもいいかなと思います。

It was disappointing that I couldn't see it very clearly.

あまりハッキリ見れなくて残念でした。

The weather was cloudy, but walking on the sandbar felt great on my feet. I would like to go again on a sunny day to see the scenery and the sea turtles. *It would be nice if there was a discount for those who participated on a bad weather day for their next visit.

天候は曇りでしたが、サンドバーを歩いたら足の裏が気持ちよかった。
晴天の日に景色とウミガメを見にもう一度行きたいです。

At the end of February, it's still quite cold. Buying a fleece at Ross Dress for Less was the right choice. If the weather had been better, it might have been different!

2月の終わりはまだまだ寒い。フリースをロスドレスで購入して正解でした。天気がよければまた違ったかも～

This was my first time participating, and I had the chance to see whales about three times. The captain announces the direction to look for them, but since the ship's viewing area isn't structured for a full circle, if you're too far forward and a whale appears on the opposite side, it might be gone by the time you move across the ship. To avoid missing a fleeting opportunity, it might be safer to stay around the center. The whales appear small and distant, surfacing only briefly, so capturing a photo can be quite challenging.

Also, just before returning to the port, the ship unexpectedly stopped, and we were about 45 minutes late. There was no announcement explaining why we were stopped, so I spent that time not really knowing what was going on.

初めて参加しましたが、クジラは３回ほど見るチャンスがありました。
船長さんがアナウンスで何時の方向に見えるか教えてくれますが、船の展望スペースは一周できる構造になっていないため、あまり船の先頭にいると、反対側にクジラが現れた場合船内を移動している間にいなくなってしまいます。一瞬のチャンスを逃さないためにも中央らへんにいるのが安全かもしれません。クジラは遠くの方に小さく見えるだけで、海面に一瞬現れるくらいなので写真に収めるのもなかなか難しいです。
また、港に戻る手前でなぜか船が止まってしまい４５分程オーバーしました。なぜ止まっているのか船内アナウンスはなく、よく分からないまま暇な時間を過ごしました。

Very moving experience, made all the more meaningful by an excellent tour - on time and very insightful.

The goal is not to see whales. It's better to think of it as enjoying the feeling of going out into the open sea, with the chance of seeing dolphins by chance. The campaign offers a deal where two people can go for the price of one, which felt like a good value. There were also two free drinks and some snacks, so it might be worth participating instead of aimlessly wandering around the city.

クジラを見ることが目的ではないです。
偶然イルカが見えただけで、外洋に出る気持ちよさを味わうと考えたほうがいいです。
キャンペーンで2人で1人分だからお得感はありました。
アルコールも2杯は無料でしたし、ちょっとしたお菓子もあるので、意味なく街をブラブラするぐらいなら参加してもいいのでは。
