It was disappointing that the weather was bad and we couldn't see the sunset, but that's just luck. There's nothing we can do about it...

Since we had the kids with us, we chose the buffet. If it were just adults or a couple, a course dinner might be better. I wasn't particularly fond of the food, but after all, it's a buffet. I didn't have high expectations for the food to begin with, so I wasn't disappointed. I recommend lowering your expectations for the food when you take this tour, haha.

The show on the boat was fun! I enjoyed watching the Hawaiian and Polynesian dances since I like them. I wouldn't recommend this tour to those who aren't interested. The food isn't great, and if the weather is bad, you won't see the sunset, haha.

The deck where you can go outside is a smoking area, which was very disappointing. I don't smoke, and since we had the kids with us, it was uncomfortable. I wish they wouldn't set up a smoking area on a deck with a view.

If asked whether I would participate again, I would say no. But it wasn't bad. Overall, it was okay.

お外に出られるデッキはSmoking Areaになっているので、とても残念でした。タバコを吸わないうえ、子供たちも一緒だったので不快でした。せっかく景色が見えるデッキにSmoking Areaを設けないで欲しいです。

もう一度参加するかと言われるとしないです。でも、悪くはなかったです。Overall まぁまぁでした。

I stayed at Ko Olina and was a bit curious, so I went to check it out for my next trip with my grandchildren. Even as an elderly couple, we had a great time. We rented a cabana, which was a bit pricey, but it came with complimentary fruit and mineral water in the cooler, so it might be essential for shade. I've also made a reservation to take my grandchildren in July!

Loved that I booked it for the family. We had a fun time snorkeling. Pick up from hotel was great, liked that the shuttle bus driver looked for us since we stood on the wrong bus stop. The crew was amazing and very friendly. The co-captain lady was the best. She took her time to show us how to use the snorkel, fit our life vest, gave us drinks. The captain was super friendly as well. The water was warm and clean. The boat was clean, restrooms to use and to change in were clean. Snorkels were clean and easy to use. Burgers was the best and we even had hot chocolate at the end of the swim. They took us to the shallow area first which was great, and then the deeper area, we saw coral reefs, lots of fish, and even sea turtles. It was amazing thing to see.
Only thing is, they didn’t have enough seats to sit outside, so we stayed inside during boat ride, and towards the end of the ride, everyone was cold so mostly everyone went inside, so we had to stand, which is ok, about 10 mins only. Overall, still a very awesome trip and would definitely go again!

Since this is a standard product, I had intentionally avoided this kind of tour until now, but I participated for the first time this time. When we boarded, it was quite cloudy, and everyone was disappointed, thinking it would be impossible to see the sunset. However, miraculously, it gradually cleared up, and we were able to see a beautiful sunset. The course meal, including lobster and steak, was delicious, and the service was smooth. I participated in June 2023. The pick-up from the hotel during my stay was convenient, and if you choose an activity with lunch included, the morning schedule isn't too early, which I recommend.

After about an hour's drive by bus, we arrived at Kaneohe Bay for boarding. There are restrooms at the dock, but it can get crowded with participants. Don't worry, there are also restrooms on the boat.

When boarding, there were separate boats for Japanese guests and guests from other countries, so the boat I boarded was filled with Japanese tourists. The guide spoke only Japanese, so there were no issues.

The sandy beach of the heavenly sea is more like a shallow area, with the water reaching up to my waist. We also had time to practice snorkeling.

As for the lunch, the hamburgers were freshly grilled on the boat, and the meat was quite delicious, which made me very satisfied.

After lunch, we moved by boat while watching the honu (sea turtles) and snorkeled for about an hour at a snorkeling spot before returning to the port and taking the bus back. I think we arrived at the hotel around 4 PM.

I was able to see the honu from the boat, but unfortunately, I didn't encounter any while snorkeling.

Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. Just be careful about sunburn.

バスで1時間ほど走ったらカネオヘ湾に到着、乗船となります。船着き場にはトイレもありますが、参加客で混雑します。船の中にもトイレはありますのでご安心を。
乗船の際は、日本人客の船と、それ以外の国の客とに分かれて船が用意されているので、乗った船はすべて日本人観光客でした。ガイドも全て日本語でしたので問題ございません。
天国の海の砂浜は、砂浜というか浅瀬になっており、腰まで海水が届きます。シュノーケリングの練習時間も兼ねておりました。
昼食のハンバーガーですが、船内でお肉が焼かれた出来たてのもので、肉もかなり美味しく満足できました。
昼食後に船で移動して、移動しながらホヌをウォッチングしつつ、シュノーケリングスポットで1時間ほどシュノーケリング、帰港、バスで送迎となります。ホテル到着は16時ぐらいだったと思います。
ホヌは船から見れましたが、シュノーケリング中は残念ながら会えませんでした。
全体を通してかなり満足のいくものでした。ただ日焼けにはご注意を。

It was a buffet-style dinner cruise. I was able to interact with participants from various countries, and I truly felt grateful to have the opportunity to experience something I couldn't in Japan. We had a small baby with us, but since we could bring a stroller, we were able to enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The food was buffet-style, so for us, who can't eat a lot, it was great that we could take just the amount we could eat, so we didn't have to apologize for not finishing. Thank you for all the delicious dishes. When the sunset began, we were able to get up from our seats and take photos. When the dance time started, my grandchild was surprised by the loud cheers and started to cry, but afterward, they were wide-eyed, looking around in amazement. Thank you for a wonderful time.

The hamburger with grilled meat that they made on the ship was delicious. We completely enjoyed our tour of this beautiful island. Our guide was amazing. Keyleon He had so much knowledge about the areas he expertly drove us to.
The only negative I found is that most people who took this tour were staying on this island. We did a flight from Oahu to Kauai. We missed our return flight due to slow traffic conditions. If you plan to island hop- make sure you get a later flight off this island or you will spend a huge amount of time in the airport.

This was my second time on the Sunset Dinner Cruise, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. From the moment I got on the bus, the staff were kind, and I felt safe enjoying myself from start to finish. Luck was on my side from the beginning of the trip, and on this day, I was able to see a beautiful rainbow. The food was served buffet-style, so I could eat just the right amount for my appetite, which is great for someone like me who has a small appetite, as well as for my family who likes to eat more. Going up to the deck to watch the sun set over the ocean was wonderful. We were blessed with great weather, which was the best part.

Enjoyed the show. The entertainment was very good. We paid to be picked up. I am so glad we made that decision. Traffic was bad but our driver Johnny handled it like a pro. Greg checked us in and then narrated the trip. He had a great sense of humor and made the ride very enjoyable. The chief also had a great sense of humor and made the stories very interesting. We were also surprised with flowers for our anniversary. They were all very courteous and made you feel like part of the family. We will definitely go again if we are ever back in Hawaii.

I reserved tickets for the show on June 4th (Sunday) the night before using my smartphone and attended. The luau dance was overwhelming. In particular, the fire dance was powerful and breathtaking. There was also hula dancing, and we enjoyed a packed show. The leader's talk was witty and engaging, and he was great at keeping everyone entertained for a long time.

Both my wife and I were very satisfied with the show itself, but we hope for some improvements in the dinner. However, I also think that unless it's a hotel luau dinner show on Oahu, one shouldn't expect much from the food. The dishes listed on the menu were indeed available, but they were served in the typical Hawaiian white plastic containers where everyone serves themselves (similar to the buffet style at Japanese hotel breakfast venues where you line up and walk while picking up food). The food was more delicious than I expected. The lobster, of course, and the steak were amazing! And the constant hospitality was impressive. I really enjoyed my time in Hawaii. Lastly, I was able to take a photo with the captain, which was very nice!

The view and the breeze from the ship were amazing. The Western crew members were fluent in Japanese and very friendly. It was great to see everyone getting excited and dancing together at the end. There were many newlyweds, so it seems like a great place for couples.

I went on the 5-Star cruise. I made a reservation with the Celebration Plan (guaranteed window seat) and paid for it, but I was booked under the regular plan. While the manager was confirming my reservation, I couldn't eat the food in front of me for about 30 minutes after being seated. In the end, it turned out that the reservation from VELTRA to Star of Honolulu was under the regular plan, and I was treated as such until the end. I never expected something like this to happen. I'm very disappointed.

Also, it seems that the shuttle bus got caught in traffic, so by the time we arrived, dinner had already started, and other guests who arrived earlier were enjoying their meals.

I thought there might be a separate entrance for the 5-Star guests, but there wasn't anything like that. We all lined up at one entrance to board the ship.

The schedule mentioned that there would be a welcome reception by the captain on the exclusive deck on the top floor for 5-Star guests, but there was nothing of the sort. We were just guided to line up and proceed into the ship.

The food wasn't particularly delicious; it was average. It was mentioned that the meat could be cut with a fork, but it was more like something you could manage to cut with a knife.

I have been to Hawaii several times, and regarding the Hilton fireworks, I've seen them from various places, but sitting on the beach south of the Rainbow Tower is the best spot. Watching the fireworks from the cruise ship was an experience, but since it was from a distance, it lacked impact.

Additionally, guests from the lower deck were casually coming up the stairs to the 5-Star deck. There was a rope at the top of the stairs, but they seemed to know how to unhook it to get in and then rehook it. These were regular guests, not staff.

I was considering this might be my elderly mother's first and last overseas trip, so I regret spending a lot of money and time on this optional tour. I hope this review can be helpful to someone.

セレブレーションプラン（窓際席確約）で予約し、その分の金額も支払いましたが、通常のプランで予約されており、あちらのマネージャーに予約したプランの確認をしてもらっている間、席についてからも30分ほど、目の前の料理を食べることができませんでした。
結局、VELTRAからスターオブホノルルへの予約が通常プランだったそうで、最後まで通常プランとしての扱いとなりました。
こんなことが起きるなんて、思いもしませんでした。非常に残念で仕方ありません。

また、恐らく送迎バスが渋滞に巻き込まれたせいで、私たちが到着した頃にはすでにディナーは始まっており、先に着いていた他のお客さんは食事を楽しんでました。

乗船する際に5スター用の入口でもあるのかなと思ってましたが、特にそのようなものはなく、大勢で列に並んで一か所の入り口から乗船しました。

5スターだと「最上階の専用デッキでキャプテンによるウェルカムレセプションがある」というスケジュールが記載されていますが、そんなものは一切ありません。列になって船内に進むように案内されました。

料理も、特別おいしいものではなかったですね。普通です。お肉がフォークで切れるという記載がありますが、ナイフでがんばって切れるぐらいの感じでした。

私自身は何度かハワイに行ったことがあり、ヒルトンの花火については、いろいろな場所から見てますが、レインボータワーの南側のビーチに座って見るのが一番ですね。
クルーズ船から花火を見れたことは一つの経験にはなりましたが、遠くから見ることになるので、全然迫力はないです。

それから、下の階のお客さんが、普通に5スターのデッキに階段を上ってきてました。一応階段を上がった先にロープがありますが、手慣れた感じでフックを外して入って、またフックをかけてました。スタッフの方ではなく、一般のお客さんです。

年老いた母を含めた、最初で最後の海外旅行だろうと考えてましたので、このようなオプショナルツアーに大金と時間を使ったことが残念で仕方がないです。

What an AMAZING trip!!!

From the beginning the crew made us feel completely comfortable. The trip out to the sandbar was relaxing yet exciting at the same time as we looked back upon the shoreline admiring the greenery that the island presented. The sandbar was just breathtaking!!! It was so amazing to think that we were standing in the ocean on a beach....crazy! The cruise around afterwards presented not only some sea turtles, but two large schools of manta rays feeding on the surface.
Overall trip was completely enjoyable and we plan on bringing all of our friends and family when they visit!!!!
On a side note, parking is extremely difficult in/on the marina, so just park on the side of the highway (everyone does) and it's just a short walk to the boat.
Make this one of your excursions when you visit!!!!!

However, I had heard that the lobster would be shelled for easier eating, but when I asked, the person in charge didn’t know how to do it. They asked someone else for help, and while they did shell one portion, the rest I had to do myself, which was a bit challenging. Also, the person who came to pick us up from the hotel couldn’t speak Japanese, and it seemed that some Japanese guests didn’t understand why they were receiving stickers. The stickers were for the bus number for the return trip, and I was told repeatedly that if I lost it, I wouldn’t be allowed on the bus. I was advised to take a photo with my phone. All the staff were cheerful, and we were able to have a great time.

両親と叔母の5人で初めて参加しましたが、金曜日だったのでヒルトンの花火も見ることができてとても良かったです。料理も美味しかったです。ただ、ロブスターは食べやすいように殻を剥いて貰えると聞いていたのですが、お願いしたら担当の方もやり方を知らず、また違う人にやり方を聞いて殻を剥いてくれたものの、一人分だけで後は自分でということだったので、ちょっと大変でした。後、ホテルに迎えに来る方が日本語が話せない人で、何人かの日本人の方達は何でシールを貰うのか理解していなかったようです。シールは、帰りのバスの番号で、無くしたら乗せてくれないと何回も繰り返して言われました。携帯で写真を撮ることを勧められました。スタッフの方々は皆んな明るくて、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

Amazing Cruise

Amazing cruise, had a lot of fun with friends. Dance performances are really good. Not many food options for vegetarian/vegan people. I think they can even improve the quality of non-vegetarian food.
