Captain Tiger's Waikiki Daytime and Sunset Bottom Fishing Cruise [Closed]

This trip was pretty much as expected. Nothing spectacular and small fish but still nice to be out on the water with a rod in my hands. Water was blue and beautiful. Scenic view of Waikiki was awesome too. My 6 year old and I caught 3 fish. There were about 35 people on the boat all fishing at the same time. Not much room to walk around. Food was horrific. Hot dog over rice... Some people caught 2-5 fish others didn't catch any. Total of maybe 40 fish all together though. Interesting experience. Probably wouldn't do it again although it was a decent price compared to others. Worth it once but not twice. Captain and crew were pretty good. Not super social or friendly but enough to have a nice conversation. They did cook up 4 or 5 of the fish we caught though and let most of us have a taste. The fish was yummy. No extra cost for that either.

釣りが大好きな先輩を誘って長い時間楽しめる91ドルの方を奮発したのに、午前中でお昼には寄港し、物足りないクルーズでした。次回はもっと事前確認を良くして大事な時間を有意義に過ごせるように調べて申し込まなければいけないと反省しました。

私は見学でしたが、みんなが釣った魚を美味しく味付けしてくれて食べることが出来ました！約40分ごとに3回程場所を変え、運良くイルカを見ることも出来ました！

タトゥーの入った迫力ある船長は、少ーしだけ日本語を話せる程度です。日常会話を会得していないと辛い。思っていたより釣れません。10人中３匹。船の上まで揚げませんので、噛まれたりする危険は無用です。竿は降ろしっぱなしなので身を持て余しちゃいました…夜景は綺麗。レアな体験です。

ハワイに行ったら，大物ねらいのトローリング．．．と決めていたので
いいツアーはないかと探していたら，このプランを見つけました．

早朝６時前に集合場所に行くと，アメリカ人の家族連れと一緒でした．
ちなみに，船はその時の申込状況で変わるみたいです．
気さくなアメリカのおじさん．．．．という表現が相応しいキャプテンとクルーでした．

大物は釣れなかったけど，一日中，ワイキキ沖の海の上にいて気分爽快でした．
またの機会があったら，チャレンジしたい．次こそは大物のブルーマーリン．
評価は，大物が釣れなかったので★四つ．

気候が良く、たくさん釣れました！釣りたての魚を、シークレットスパイスで豪快に美味しく調理してくださり、楽しい時間で、父といい思いでができました。野生のイルカが見れたのもラッキーでした。またハワイにいける機会あれば、お願次第です

Veltra was great; thanks for working with me. However, since I wasn't given the company's phone number (955-FISH) on my voucher, I wasn't sure where exactly to check in. Also my voucher said check in at 11:45 and there was no one at the kiosk I suspected was the right one when I arrived a few minutes before the stated check in time. I called the local number on the voucher and connected with someone who was something of a grouch. I told him I wasn't sure I was in the right place and the response was "The signs are gigantic, 955-FISH, there is no way you could miss it" and his tone of voice implied I must be stupid or something for not finding it. I mentioned there was no one there and was told, "Well that's because you're twenty minutes early." "My voucher says 11:45." "You're twenty minutes early." Someone finally arrived at the kiosk at about 12:15. At least the on-board crew was not as rude. They were patient and helpful with my children and displayed an excellent sense of humor, and for those reasons I was able to overlook the fact they did not have enough food for everyone.

Honolulu Deep Sea Fishing Charter - Full Day Shared Trip

Professional but friendly, caught 2 big Ono and 2 other fish

Captain and deckie worked tirelessly to ensure that every opportunity to catch fish was taken. The instructions given on how to handle the equipment were excellent for novices such as our group. Using local knowledge the captain located good sized fish and each landing was greeted with great enthusiasm but at the same time professionalism and efficiency. As a group we dispensed with the normal method of chance selection as to who would take each strike (the captain drawing a card) and so everyone had an equal share of the catch.

nice trip out and even caught a few fish including jacks and small barracuda. sunset views were spectacular and even though not many fish were caught still was enough for everyone to have one cooked on the onboard bbq on trip back to marina. Nice way to spend the evening. thank you

Not the best, not the worst

Six of us went fishing and we caught a total of three fish. That seemed to be the general rate of success on the boat when we went. Pros: Great to be picked up at our hotel. The gear was in generally fine shape, Doug worked very hard the entire time between prepping the fishing gear and cooking up the fish that were caught for the ride home. Cons: There were too many people for the size of the boat. There were lots of crossed lines that took a lot of time to fix (Dough could only do so much). You can't catch fish if your line's not in the water. Simply put, there were too many people for the size of the boat and the crew. I could see this being a much better experience with fewer people.

We were looking for something the kids can do in Waikiki and found this fishing activity online. It is conveiniently
located right at the entrance of the Ala Wai Harbor and three hours out in the ocean was just enough for the kids to try their first
fishing experience-not too short and not too long. The crew member was friendly in assisting us when our rod got stuck and he said that its all about making the squid bait look delicious but
no luck! The person behind us was lucky and caught three fishes but because they were small they got released back into the ocean.
The big green sea turtle and the dolphin pod we saw on our way back to the harbor lifted our spirits at the end of the trip. We will definitely try again!

I've never been to a fishing cruise so this was a great excursion for a first timer like myself. The boat actually departed from right behind the Hilton Waikiki Hotel where we stayed, so we could just walk over to the check-in. The crew was super friendly and helpful. It did take a few tries to get a hang of it, and the fish kept taking our bait. After my 4th or 5th try, I caught my first fish! They did change the fishing spot a few times and one of the passengers got an edible fish so they cooked it right there and served everyone. Highly recommended for the entire family!

Great morning. Saw so much, the reef and the fish are gorgeous. The guides were chilled, relaxed and helpful. The only thing I'd suggest is that wetsuit tops be made available as it got quite cold by the time we'd been in the water a couple of hours

Fishing experience a must before going out

They don't teach out how to fish, they only supply hardware & bait. Did the night fishing, so its not like we had sunlight the whole time. I enjoyed myself, cause i know how to fish, but limited to where to go on the boat to fish.
They made food, not really, just cut up hot dogs & rice in a crock pot, set on simmer. I love to fish, but i don't like to eat it. However, i rather eat the fish i caught than to eat that mess hall type of food. In other words, not consider food to eat on a boat in the ocean. Almost as if to see who has a weak stomache on the waters.
Would i go back is the bottom line. Yes i would, i enjoy fishing. However bring your own food or wait till they cook the fishes caught, otherwise do not eat the food they supply. Bring beer!

The captain and deckhand were very friendly and knowledgable. Very easy going feeling. It was beautiful to see the sunset and the lights come on throughout the city. If you're looking to catch monster sized fish, this isn't for you, but we caught a lot of pretty and tasty fish that were grilled up on the ship and also got to take some home. A lot of fun all around and deliciously rewarding!

Captain Tiger was great. Unfortunately, the other travelers were not. Plenty of people complaining about the heat, or weren't satisfied that they hadn't caught anything after 2 mins on the water. Other people intentionally cut off the sinkers so they could fish on the surface, and some almost tangled up in the motor while we were driving because they were impatient. Still caught several fish myself though.

Captain Tiger knows what he's doing, and if you follow his lead you will catch plenty of fish. We had a good haul, catching at least 20-25 fish over the course of the trip. Cooked up the snapper we caught. Would definitely do it again.

私と息子以外に、アメリカ人3人を加えた合計5人の混載でした。最初にトランプを使って順番を決めて、竿に当たりがきたらその順番で釣り上げていくというルールなのですが、4時間くらい沖を走って結局一匹も当たりがありませんでした。クルーは「（英語）こんな日もある」と言っていましたが、ハワイ旅行の半日を無駄にしてしまった感じで、精神的ダメージが大きい。

Very much enjoyed our trip! It was rainy all day but it stopped right before we went out on the water so it turned out to be a great time. The whole crew was wonderful and helped out anyone who needed anything at all! :)

This was exactly what we were hoping for. The captains were fantastic. At one point they moved the boat to a better location - always trying to provide a better experience. Cooking up the fish on the boat was a classy touch. This is a tour for inexperienced fisherman, however. If you want more of a challenge book their deep sea charter.

The crew was friendly and it was a nice big boat with clean restrooms. The guys seemed like they love what they do so that helped it be a very nice trip. They caught a 140lb tuna. It was fun :) there was plenty of shade for my kids to nap :)

主人のトローリングがしたいとの唯一希望により、予約しました。色々なところがありましたが、こちらを選んだのは、他と比べて値段が安かったことと、口コミの評価がよかったから。

参加してみての感想は、まず英語が多少出来た方が更に楽しめただろうということ。乗組員の方は日本語なんて出来ないから、普通に早口の英語で説明されます。同乗した方の中に気を使ってくれる外国人の方がおられたので、後で分かりやすく説明してくれたので助かりました。
飲み物食べ物は各自で準備が必要でした。飲み物１本とシリアルバーしか持って行ってなかったので、もっと持っていけばよかったなと思いました。

今回私達の船には5人の参加者がいました。まず船にのりトランプを使って順番を決めます。竿に当たりがきたらその順番で釣り上げていくため。
出発してまず船で1時間程度沖に出ます。結構な揺れ加減なので酔い止めを飲んだ方が絶対にいーです。沖に出ながらベイト釣り。40センチぐらいのハマチらしき魚を2匹釣りました。私は順番が2番目だったので2匹目の魚を釣りました。
３匹目に150センチぐらいのカジキが釣れました。でも、それで終了。旦那は4番目だった為、何も釣り上げられず(^^;

大物を釣らせてとは言わないけれど、せめてベイト釣りで参加者全員が釣り上げられるようにしてくれたら、もっといーのになと思いました。
貴重なハネムーンの１日をほぼ使って、釣れるかどうかわからないことに28000円…する価値があるのかどーかは人それぞれだと思いますが、私は何だかんだ楽しめたので、まぁよかったかな(>_<)

F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S......awesome time.....inexpensive....lunch over.....fishing......your catch is cooked up for you to eat on your cruise back. Captain and mate were spot on. Thank you for a wonderful end to our 5th Wedding Anniversary trip. Highly recommended!

We had a great time aboard the Sea Hawk, and the Captain and First Mater were very friendly. I would have given this adventure 5 stars, but we did not catch one fish. We had one strike about mid-way thru our half day charter, but that was it.
