I went sailing around Waikiki on the yacht Makani! I had been on several dinner cruises with the Star of Honolulu, but since it's a large ship, I didn't really feel like I was on the ocean. However, the Makani is much closer to the water, which gives you a real sense of being at sea. Once we got out a bit, it became a quiet and comfortable sailing experience.

Additionally, I had a surprise encounter with a whale! It was just a fleeting moment, so I couldn't capture it on camera, but it was truly moving to see it in such a setting. I definitely want to board again next time.

We departed while there was still daylight and enjoyed the view of Diamond Head and the streets of Waikiki from the sea as the sunset transitioned into the night. It was a wonderful tour where I could enjoy various drinks like Mai Tais, beer, and champagne, creating great memories. The captain and staff were very friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome even when I asked for refills multiple times. I have been to Hawaii more than ten times, and if I have the chance to go again, I would love to do this tour once more.

まだ、日のあるうちに出発して、夕日が沈む時から夜景まで海からダイヤモンドヘッドやワイキキの街並みを眺めつつ、マイタイやビール、シャンパンまで色々と楽しめて、とても良い思い出に残るツアーでした。

Since you will be wading in seawater up to your knees, please wear shorts or a skirt and bring a towel to dry your feet. The explanations will all be in English, but I think you'll manage even if you don't understand everything. It can get cold on the boat when the sun goes down, so it's good to have a proper jacket, especially for Japanese people. I found it tough in a thin shirt during the second half. The restroom is quite basic, so it's better to take care of that beforehand. It was a lot of fun to enjoy drinks and chat with people from various countries. My daughters and their families and I all went on the Mai Tai sunset cruise! The boat captain let my 13 year old “drive the boat” for a couple of minutes so we could get a picture! The Mai Tais and sodas for the young ones were unlimited. The sunset views were spectacular! Take this cruise! It’s great for all ages!!!

I participated with my 3-year-old child. Even though I can't drink alcohol and this was my fifth time in Hawaii, I felt it was a shame I hadn't participated before because it was absolutely amazing. I didn't bring my camera because I was worried about getting it wet, but I don't think you'll get wet unless something really unusual happens. If you have a phone, there's a chance it could slip and fall into the ocean if you drop it, so I think a camera that you can hang around your neck is more practical.

Had an amazing time with Phillipe and Zach! They kept it relaxed, fun, and super funny! Such a fun cruise! Funny pictures with costumes, constant jokes, great music, and Zach the bartender was running around grabbing people drinks left and right! I had some waiting time before departure, so I was able to relax and take photos. There was a diverse crowd, including people from Europe and Asia. We were the only Japanese people there. I didn't fully understand the explanations in English, but I managed to grasp the gist of it!

The attire ranged from luxurious outfits to people in shorts and sandals, so there didn't seem to be a dress code. I tend to get seasick, so I didn't eat anything, and it was quite cold at the end of November, but I stayed outside the whole time. When my companion tried to get a refill, the meat was gone, but it seemed there were still plenty of potatoes left. The cookies they distributed were delicious.

The staff were kind, taking photos for us and being very attentive. It was disappointing that we couldn't see the orange sunset >_<. However, I was happy to see a small dolphin! I was quite satisfied with the views of Diamond Head and the hotel nightscape. I recommend this tour for active individuals.

As others have mentioned, there were no staff members who spoke Japanese, and most of the customers were English speakers. However, once you set sail, language doesn't matter. The pleasant breeze and the sunset scenery, along with the lively American atmosphere, allow you to have fun without worrying about the language barrier.

The snacks provided are just bags of chips, but drinks are all-you-can-drink. Also, you might wonder if there really is a restroom, but if you open a manhole-like cover, you'll find one. While I was inside, a drunk person playfully kept banging on the ceiling, but it was a fun moment.

We were the only Japanese people there, but once the drinks started flowing in the second half, we were able to have a great time regardless of nationality! Even though we couldn't understand the language, we took photos with the foreign ladies and interacted with the handsome crew. It was a lot of fun.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the elegant sunset and night views. It was colder in November than I expected, so a thicker jacket was necessary. I recommend wearing clothes that can be rolled up or shorter ones, as there is a possibility of getting wet when boarding.

The sunset dinner cruise I booked this time had bad weather, with cloudy skies throughout, so I didn't have high expectations... but the result was very good! The gently rocking boat, combined with the friendliness of the crew, created a very pleasant atmosphere.

Seeing the lights of the hotels in Waikiki from the sea and a pod of dolphins swimming alongside the boat was wonderful. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset, but it became a great memory that you can't experience on land. I would love to participate again next time, on a sunny day!

There were few Japanese people, mostly foreigners, so just being on the boat felt exotic. The drinks were all-you-can-drink, and they also provided snacks. I was torn between a dinner cruise, but this one felt more like a resort experience. The rocking felt like an attraction, and depending on where you sit, you might get splashed by the waves, but that was also fun. The cruise was quite long, and by the time the sun was setting, everyone was singing together and having a great time. I wish I could speak a little more English. I will definitely ride again next time! I highly recommend it!

It was amazing.
I participated based on the experiences of others.

The view while feeling the sea breeze was fantastic, and the night view of Honolulu from the sea was very beautiful.
You can drink as much alcohol or soft drinks as you like, so no worries!
There are proper restrooms too, haha.

There are no Japanese people or Japanese staff, but everyone is cheerful and friendly, so those who can't speak English don't need to worry at all.
