I went horseback riding. The horse was calm, and the instructor was very friendly. They primarily communicate in English, but for those who are not comfortable with English, they provide important instructions (like the horse's seating position) in Japanese. The scenery was also wonderful, and I felt it was worth participating.
If there are few activities, the waiting time for the return bus can be long, but if you inform the reception, you can take the city bus back to the Waikiki area. There is a bus stop about a 4-5 minute walk from Kualoa Ranch, and the travel time is about the same as the shuttle, around one hour. It costs $3 per person, but if horseback riding is the only activity and you have to wait nearly three hours for the shuttle, taking the city bus is a good way to make effective use of your time. For those who find the city bus a bit daunting, you can also call an Uber or a taxi, which might be another option.

アクティビティが少ないと帰りのバスまでの待ち時間が長いのですが、受付に申し出れば市バスでワイキキエリアへ帰ることが可能です。クアロア牧場から歩いて4-5分のところにバス停があり、移動時間は送迎と同じ1時間程度でした。3USD/人かかりますが、アクティビティが乗馬だけで送迎のバスまで3時間近く待つ日程だったので時間を有効活用したい方は市バスで帰るのはありかと思います。
市バスがハードルが高い方はUber、タクシーも呼べるのでそれもありかもしれないです。

I couldn't find the sign listed on the website, but there was a similar sign for "Hawaii Polo Oceanfront Trail Rides" nearby. When I went inside to ask, they confirmed that this was the right place. It might be better to aim for this name from the start.
I had heard from reviews that there would be Japanese guidance available, but I couldn't find any, and all the explanations were in English. I was quite anxious since there were only foreign customers, but the operation was easy, and the staff were kind, so I was able to ride without any worries.
We walked through the pine forest right next to the coast, and occasionally, we got to walk on the beach, making for a fantastic location throughout the experience. They also take photos when you reach the beach.
I think this is an activity that you absolutely must experience when you come to Hawaii. I highly recommend it! (However, I think it may not be suitable for those who are experienced riders and want to run or perform advanced maneuvers, as it is a slow-paced ride.)

途中ビーチに出た時に写真も撮ってくれます。
ハワイに来たら絶対に体験した方がいいアクティビティだと思います。
本当にオススメです！！(但し乗馬に慣れていて自分で走らせたり上級の操作をしたい方には不向きだと思います…終始ゆっくりゆっくり歩くだけなので^^;)
看板には要注意。水分は持っていけるので持って行った方がいいです。あとは日焼け止めマストです！塗り忘れている箇所が真っ赤に焼けてしまいました。

I visited Kualoa Ranch for the first time. I was satisfied with the two-hour horseback riding experience and the ample time spent there. However, I had a lot of concerns. First, there were no Japanese-speaking staff, and I wasn't quite sure how to use the locked lockers, so I ended up leaving my things in a regular storage area. Fortunately, I was wearing a jacket with zippered pockets, so I could at least keep my wallet safe. I was anxious because all the safety instructions for riding were in English, but the horses were well-behaved and not scary at all. I wish there had been signs and videos in Japanese. Well, it's my fault for not understanding English...
I was looking forward to seeing the movie filming locations, but there were none at all, and I just walked along the mountain paths. It's disappointing.

I was a bit anxious about horseback riding in the blazing sun, so I chose the sunset time. It turned out to be a great decision! The breeze was pleasant, and the scenery was truly beautiful.

We used this service for our family's first trip to Hawaii. We enjoyed a full hour of horseback riding, and the location was amazing. Since it was a plan with shuttle service from the hotel, we took a large bus for about an hour to get to the location. The instructor during the horseback riding spoke in English, but there was also an explanation provided by a Japanese staff member beforehand, so I think it’s fine even if you don’t understand English. There were mostly Japanese participants, but there were also quite a few Chinese, Korean, and Westerners. There was about an hour of free time before and after the activity, so we spent it buying snacks at the shop and taking a leisurely walk. It was really nice to feel nature in a different atmosphere from the Waikiki area.

I experienced a 2-hour horseback riding session at Kualoa Ranch. The activity itself was fantastic. If I remember correctly, it’s quite popular, so when I applied, I wasn’t sure what time slot I would be able to join. It was confirmed in the reservation email when I opened the voucher. I didn’t quite understand how Kualoa Ranch operated, and since it was the weekend, there were more people than on weekdays. After arriving, I realized I had about 2 hours of free time before the horseback riding, so I lined up at the ticket center, but all the other morning activities were sold out. I spent the time at the cafeteria, grabbing a light snack and browsing for souvenirs. Considering efficiency, I would have liked to combine another tour with the 2 hours, but the horseback riding experience was truly wonderful. The horses are well-trained, so they move along without needing much direction. During the 2-hour wait, I bought lunch at the cafeteria, which felt like a food court, so there was no obligation to buy a meal for each person. To avoid overeating before the activity, sharing was also possible. It seems that bringing in sandwiches or rice balls wouldn’t be a problem. By the way, it takes about an hour to get from the Sheraton to Kualoa Ranch. The bus is large and comfortable. The driver provided information about Hawaii’s attractions in English along the way, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. Overall, I’m glad I participated!

確か、記憶によると人気なんで、申込時には何時の回に参加できるかは判らず、予約確定のメールでバウチャーを開くと確定されてる感じでした。クアロアランチの仕組みが分からなかったのと、土日だったんで平日より人が多かったせいか、着いたのち、乗馬まで2時間くらい空き時間がある事がわかって、そこからチケットセンターに並んだが、午前中の他のアクティビティはどれも完売との事で、カフェテリアで小腹を満たしたり、お土産見たりして過ごしました。効率から考えると2時間あれば何か1つツアーを組み合わせたかったが、乗馬体験はとても素晴らしく、馬が慣れてるので、あまり指示を出さずとも合わせて動いてくれます。2時間の待ち時間はカフェテリアで昼食を購入し食べたがフードコートのような感じなんで1人1食購入する義務感も無く、アクティビティ前の食べ過ぎを避ける為にシェアも可能でした。おそらく、サンドイッチやおにぎりの持込みも問題なさそう。ちなみに、シェラトンからクアロアランチまで約1時間。バスは大きく快適です。行きがけのドライバーは道中、ハワイの見どころを英語ですが紹介してくれて、雰囲気も良かった。トータル、参加して良かったです！

I have done horseback trekking for about two hours several times in Hokkaido, and the horses in Hawaii respond to the same cues for moving forward, stopping, and turning. It's universal.
At first, we went through the forest, then we reached the scenic spot in the photo, and from there, we turned back to the starting point. After riding for two hours, my butt started to hurt (laughs), but the weather was nice, and I thoroughly enjoyed horseback riding!

Riding horses at the filming locations of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World was a dream come true! I was really looking forward to it. When the day finally arrived, I got to ride a horse, and my excitement was through the roof. As we slowly progressed, breathtaking views unfolded, and it felt like being in a movie!! I was thrilled; it really seemed like dinosaurs could appear at any moment! The two hours flew by, but by the end, my legs were shaking. It felt like I was using muscles I don't usually engage. I was able to take a lot of photos, and we got a lovely four-shot with my husband and the horse! (We'll receive them via AirDrop later.) The weather was great, and I truly had a wonderful time. I'm grateful to the horses and the staff who guided us!

I wanted to go horseback riding in Hawaii, so I signed up for this 2-hour horseback riding course. Actually, I used to attend a riding club over 10 years ago, but I quit because I was scared of galloping. This time, since I was just walking slowly on horseback in the great outdoors, I felt completely at ease and thoroughly enjoyed riding again after a long time. After about an hour on the bus from the meeting point, we arrived at Kualoa Ranch. Upon arrival, we gathered on the deck in front of the building entrance. The reception areas and schedules for each course were explained in English. Shortly after, our names were called, and we received a voucher detailing the activity's reception time, start time, and the return bus schedule. The reception time was strict, and they wouldn't accept us early. While shoulder bags and items hanging around the neck were not allowed, smartphones were permitted. Only still photos could be taken; videos were not allowed. However, if a GoPro was secured to the body and not held in hand, it was fine. For small personal items and water bottles, we could borrow a small bag to hang on the saddle, so anything that fit in there could be brought along.
The course offered stunning views of the ocean after passing through the forest, but I was most looking forward to the Jurassic Park filming location, which had a vast grassy valley. Unfortunately, the path to it was under maintenance, and our time was shortened by 30 minutes, resulting in a 25% refund later. My first horseback riding experience was fun, but my backside became sore, and the pain lingered for three days. (laughs) Still, it's a shame I couldn't see the valley, so I would like to try again.

コースは林間を抜けると海が見えて来て素晴らしい景色のコースでしたが、1番楽しみにしていたジュラシックパークのロケ地で草原が広がる谷には途中の道が整備中で行く事が出来ず、時間も30分短縮されたため後から25%の返金がありました。初めての乗馬は楽しかったけどお尻が痛くなり、痛みは3日間尾を引きました。（笑）
それでも谷が見れなかったのは残念なのでまたリベンジしたいと思います。
