I had been to Dole Plantation before, but I had never been inside the farm, so it was great to see the process from harvesting to packing. There seemed to be a lot of manual work from planting to harvesting, which looked tough, but the workers waved cheerfully at us when they saw us. The guide not only taught us various things but also made a great effort to ensure we had fun, allowing us to enjoy the day. While it's nice to enjoy the maze and train at Dole Plantation, I think the farm tour across the street gave us a better sense of Hawaii.

We went directly to the North Shore without stopping and arrived early. The shop opening times varied, but we enjoyed eating acai bowls and browsing around the town as the shops opened. We had plenty of time, about five hours, to leisurely have lunch and take our time exploring the stores, making for a meaningful experience. On the way back, we also went non-stop and arrived in Waikiki in about an hour. I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises.

I was happily walking through the greenery when I arrived at the waterfall. There is a shuttle service, making trekking easy. After the valley, we had lunch in the town of Haleiwa. I was impressed by the juicy hamburger!! At Matsumoto Shave Ice, I had the matcha special. I heard they make the adzuki beans from scratch every day. It was delicious. The driver was very kind and gave us helpful advice.

I participated in this tour for my honeymoon. There were about 20 participants, mostly from English-speaking countries, and many appeared to be older. At the meeting point, there were several tours departing for the same destination at the same time, so it was necessary to look for the bus I was supposed to board.

The explanations and guidance during the tour were only in English. However, the guide, Marlon, could also speak Japanese and often reached out to us. It was possible to ask simple questions individually.

The public restroom at the photo stop was not very clean, so I recommend using the bus restroom instead. The time spent at Byodoin Temple, the macadamia shop, and the Dole Plantation was just right. In North Shore, I was aiming for the Patagonia and Snoopy shops, as well as Matsumoto Shave Ice. The lunch portion was quite large, which took some time to eat, so we had to hurry a bit, but we managed to see everything. I recommend checking in advance the crowd levels and portion sizes for lunch. It was okay to eat Matsumoto Shave Ice on the bus as long as it didn't spill from the container, so I bought it at the end and finished it on the bus. The wait time was about 10 minutes.

The view from the bus window was very beautiful, offering a different landscape from Honolulu.

車窓からの眺めもとてもキレイでホノルルとは違った風景が楽しめました。

Our guide Lola was very friendly, and it was the best tour! Since it was an English-only tour, we were a bit worried about our ability to keep up with just everyday conversation. However, Lola, although she hardly spoke any Japanese, spoke slowly and clearly, making it easy to understand, and we had a great conversation.

She also guided us through the buildings and areas along the way, which was fun.

I thought Dole might be somewhat underwhelming, but it was actually very spacious and we enjoyed it a lot. The souvenir section is really large. Haleiwa had a completely different atmosphere from Waikiki, which was refreshing. There were so many places to eat that it was hard to choose, but the garlic shrimp was very delicious. We gave up on the long lines for shave ice and huli huli chicken. Instead, we went to Ali Beach and were thrilled to encounter a honu drying its shell!

I signed up to go horseback riding along the beach in Haleiwa. At first, I was worried I might fall off, but thanks to the very smart horse, I got used to it quickly. It was like a dream to be able to ride for a long time along the beach. It started to rain, and my pants and hair got quite wet, but I was able to borrow a raincoat, so my upper body stayed dry. I was disappointed that my time in Haleiwa was too short; I only had time to eat lunch and visit one shop. It would be perfect if I had more time to explore Haleiwa!

My husband, who is learning English conversation, made his first trip to Hawaii! Although we chose an English tour, my husband's English skills couldn't keep up... However, thanks to our cheerful and fun tour guide and driver, Patrick, we had a wonderful time. He helped us purchase tickets for the Dole Plantation, and we were able to enter smoothly. We participated with our children aged 9, 11, and 13 at their request. Even my 9-year-old daughter, who is 120 cm tall, was able to ride alone. We received instructions on how to handle the reins and how to ride. Our guide, Kaz, accompanied us to the riding location and helped with everything from check-in to translation, which was a great help. He taught us how to ride during the transfer, and even though it was everyone's first time riding, we had a lot of fun. I can't speak any English, but having Kaz made me feel very secure. The staff at the riding location were not very impressive; they seemed to be new and a bit inexperienced. It felt like the tip was paid not for the staff, but for the smart horses. Since the tour was focused on horseback riding, we didn't plan for any exploration and just enjoyed a relaxed time.

This tour was great. Clean, smooth bus. Great choice of places to stop but the highlight of the tour was our guide Lola. She was so knowledgeable sharing all sorts of Hawaiian history and interesting bits. She was caring, funny and a super good driver. We’re very glad we chose this tour and we recommend it.

It was a very nice bus, and there was a restroom, so it was comfortable. The driver, who also served as the guide, was enthusiastic and entertaining. Since it was an English tour, I only understood parts of it, but I still enjoyed it even though my English isn't great.

However, we visited many places, so the time spent at each location was short, and waiting in line for the restroom further reduced our sightseeing time, which was a bit unsatisfying. The malasadas we had along the way were delicious.

凄く立派なバスでお手洗いもあったので、快適でした。運転兼ガイドの方も説明も熱心で面白かったです。英語のツアーなので、所々しかわからなかったのですが...
英語が不得意でもたのしめました。
ただ、沢山回るのでそれぞれの滞在時間が短くて、トイレに並ぶと見学時間が余計に短くなってしまい、ものたりなかったです。
途中で頂いたマラサダま美味しかったです。

I initially thought I would have too much free time with five hours, but instead, I was able to explore the town of Haleiwa at my own pace without feeling rushed. I visited various shops that caught my interest and took plenty of photos, allowing me to leisurely stroll around. In the past, I participated in a tour with only three hours of free time, which felt rushed and left me unable to fully enjoy the beach. This time, however, I had enough time to visit the beach as well, which greatly increased my satisfaction. Overall, the timing was just right. I believe this tour is perfect for those who want to take their time exploring the town of Haleiwa.

自由時間が５時間なので最初は時間が余ってしまうかと思っていましたが逆に時間に追われることなく、ハレイワの街を端から端まで気になるお店があれば立ち寄ったり、写真に納めたりと、とにかくゆっくりと散策することができました。以前は３時間の自由時間に参加したこともありますが慌ただしくビーチの方まで行く時間がなく消化不良気味でしたが今回はビーチにも行く余裕があり満足度が高かったです。結果、時間的にも丁度でした。ゆっくりハレイワの街を散策したい方にはピッタリのツアーだと思います。
