This was our first trip to Hawaii with my sons. My high school-aged eldest son wanted to try horseback riding, so we made a reservation. It seemed to be quite popular, and even after booking, we were on a waiting list for a long time. Finally, on our fifth attempt, we managed to secure a spot! However, I was disappointed to find out that we had booked a course without the complimentary gift that was included in the same price. When I inquired after making the reservation, I learned that changes were not allowed and that I would have to cancel and rebook. I was already tired of waiting, so I decided to forgo the gift.

The scenery was stunning, the horses were adorable, and it was a truly valuable experience. We could see the ocean, ride through deep forests, and feel the grandeur of nature with sharp rocky mountains around us. At first, I was nervous, but as I got used to it, I enjoyed taking photos and chatting. I found it wasn't as physically taxing as I had read in reviews.

My middle school-aged second son said he wants to go mountain biking through the forest next time. We all made wonderful memories as a family.

In mid-February, I went to Hawaii and signed up for skydiving! It was scheduled for the second day, but that day was canceled due to strong winds and rain in the forecast. I really love this show! As a Maui local, I really loved seeing a show that was only Hawaiian hula. I understand Tahitian can be a bit more "exciting" for tourists, but the Na Lei Aloha group were captivating the whole show! The host (I believe his name was Keoki, forgive me if I'm wrong!) was engaging and explained all of the numbers in a very digestible way. The girls were gorgeous, the boys were funny, and the musicians were incredibly talented.

The dinner portion was amazing as well! An all you can eat buffet that included king crab legs and a prime rib station. Everything was delicious! The first drink (mai tai) was included, and we ordered 1 additional round of drinks (which were SO MUCH stronger that we didn't need another).

Overall just a truly wonderful experience.

Everything ran on time, the boat was clean and functioned properly. The crew was great; very fun and engaging. The crew provided a lot of local information/history. The water is just a little on the cold side, so a sun/swim shirt or a wet suit top may be a good idea. If you don’t want to use community snorkels, you may want to bring your own.

The Mai Tai was delicious, and I may have had a bit too much, but my wife also said it was the best among the optional tours, so it became a wonderful memory. It was so much fun. Unlike activities like marine sports, it's great that it isn't affected by the weather.

I visited during the off-season. Overall, it was not crowded, and there were plenty of beach beds available. My child was too scared to go on the slides, so it ended up being a bit pricey in terms of cost performance, but I would recommend it if you can enjoy the various types of slides.

The lazy river has a gentler current compared to Japan, so it might feel a bit lacking. The wave pool had so many floaties that they ran out.

A Japanese staff member assisted with entry, which was very helpful and easy to understand.

However, I took a chance and asked if they had any motion sickness medication, and they readily provided it. They suggested mixing it with ginger ale, which I did. I’m grateful for that because it really helped!

As for the meals, well... I can't say they were very delicious! The roast beef was tough as well.
