I've been to Molokini about 20 times, and this was the most fun!

Our Japanese guide, Kana, was wonderful! She took my husband, who was swimming for the first time, to Turtle Point and shared a lot of information about Maui! I enjoyed not only the snorkeling time but also the time we spent chatting (*^^*).

In winter, the water temperature at Molokini is a bit lower than in summer, and I felt there were fewer types of fish, but the clarity was outstanding and truly impressive! I was able to see several large sea turtles up close, which was a rare experience ( ; ; )♡

I definitely want to come back with my family! Thank you so much! ♪

I went in May last time. This time in November, I heard that we couldn't go to Molokini Island until the day before.
In May, I could hardly see any fish, and the waves were a bit high, which made me feel seasick while snorkeling... but!
This time, the visibility was better than in May, and the waves were calm.

The combination of a cheeseburger and a hot dog sausage was the best.

This was first time using tour company for snorkeling.
The ship is nice and big, so I did not get seasick at all.
They provided lots of drinks and food. Hamburger and hotdog was good.
They provided free snorkeling kit including fins. Swimsuit for extra money. I brought my own suit, so it helped me to swim in cold water especially in winter season.
Snorkeling at Molokini crater was good experience.

I participated in the snorkeling-only plan. I was a bit worried since I signed up without transportation and had to meet early in the morning, but it took about 40 minutes by car from my hotel in the center of Waikiki. The meeting place was a little hard to find, but I think if you head towards the aquarium, it will be smooth.

For breakfast, I could choose from bagels, fruits, and muffins, and there was also coffee and juice. Lunch was a sandwich made with vegetables and ham. Both were delicious!

We were blessed with good weather, and I enjoyed the cruise to Molokini Island and the snorkeling afterward! The instructions were only in English, but I was able to understand. It was fun! Thank you!

Our tour guide Matt was remarkably knowledgeable of both the local marine life and also local folklore, history and geography.

He guided us to two spots where we were snorkeling an arms length from some of the most beautiful sea turtles I have ever seen. The best part was because our group was small and coming off of kayaks, we had the entire area to ourselves for the most part. It was truly a breath taking experience.

Matt was engaging, funny, patient and willing to answer any and all questions we all had. I will definitely be doing this tour again, the next time I am in Maui. You will NOT be disappointed! Great value for money - an incredible experience!

The weather was perfect! It was a calm day with no wind! Our guide Kana provided detailed advice from the start, allowing us to enjoy ourselves with peace of mind. The sea was filled with many fish, and Kana guided us, showing us where to go and even informed us about the current. We kept diving until we got cold. The transfer to Turtle Point was also enjoyable as we chatted with Kana. The shuttle from the hotel to the port was not operated by Japanese staff. Upon arriving at the port, you will need to sign a document stating that you will not hold anyone responsible for any issues that may arise during the tour. There is a Japanese version available, so it's best to ask the staff. After signing the document and handing it to the staff, you will receive a plastic boarding pass in exchange.

There is a Japanese crew member (this time it was a person named Takako) on board the ship, but there is no specific Japanese support until boarding. You can ask questions if needed, but once you get your boarding pass, you just need to board the ship. About 150 people were on the ship, but there were only five Japanese participants, including us. Takako will explain the precautions and things you should do early on, so there's no need to worry.

Depending on the weather, you can generally snorkel at two locations. It takes about an hour to reach Molokini Island (landing is not allowed), where you will have about an hour for snorkeling before returning to the ship. After another 30-40 minutes of sailing, you will arrive at the second snorkeling point.

The second floor of the ship has no roof and is exposed to direct sunlight, so since we didn't want to get sunburned, we stayed on the first floor. The ship moves at a considerable speed, creating strong winds, and the transition from Molokini to the next spot and the return from the second snorkeling point can be very cold if you are still wet from the sea. If you're okay with getting sunburned, the second floor or outside should be fine, but I recommend bringing an extra bath towel or a dry jacket.

There is a restroom on the ship, but it is small and not very clean, so changing clothes thoroughly may be difficult. My first snorkeling experience at Molokini Island during my second visit to Maui was very enjoyable, and I truly felt like I was in Hawaii!

船の2階は屋根がなく直射日光なので、日焼けしたくない私達は1階にいました。かなりのスピードで走るのでとても風が強く、モロキニから次のスポットへの移動と2箇所目からの帰港は海に入ってびしょ濡れのままだと非常に寒くなります。日焼けOKなら2階もしくは外にいれば大丈夫だと思いますが、バスタオルを余分に持つか乾いた上着の持参をオススメします。
トイレは船にありますが、狭くてキレイとはいいがたいので、ガッツリ着替えは難しいと思います。
2度目のマウイで初めてのモロキニ島シュノーケルはとても楽しく、ハワイに来た！っていう実感を得られました。

I was able to participate with peace of mind thanks to the kind assistance of the staff member who speaks Japanese (Takako). It was convenient to have sunscreen available. While snorkeling, they checked in to see if I was enjoying myself, which was nice. When the boat was rocking a lot and I started to feel unwell, they distributed ginger ale, and I felt better right away. It was great that they wrapped the meals so I could take them home.

I participated with children from both lower and upper elementary school grades. There were various sizes of life jackets, wetsuits, and floating devices that can be worn around the waist, which made it safe and enjoyable. The ocean was, of course, beautiful and amazing, but there was also a slide from a high position on the boat that allowed the kids to jump into the sea, making it the most fun place of this trip for them. The hamburgers we had for lunch were also very delicious. The ocean was deep, beautiful, and truly moving.

I could see Molokini Island from the airplane and from Wailea. When I got closer, I was surprised at how much larger it was than I imagined! Until then, the rocking on the boat and the waves while snorkeling made me feel a bit nauseous... The ocean was beautiful, but I couldn't fully enjoy it... On other overseas tours, they had motion sickness medication available on the boat or before boarding, but this tour didn't have any... I should have prepared my own.

The weather was great, perfect for snorkeling. Kanako, the Japanese staff member, started with a thorough boarding announcement during the reception meeting and also informed us about the best seating positions on the boat, allowing us to have a comfortable experience. Throughout the boat ride, all announcements were in English, but she provided explanations in Japanese and took care of participants who felt seasick, showing exceptional attention to detail. I was able to enjoy the tour with peace of mind. Although I didn't see as many fish while snorkeling as I had hoped, I would like to join this tour again when I come back to Maui. I participated in a snorkeling tour to Molokini Island. I requested a pickup, but a taxi came, and the driver didn't get out, so I didn't realize it was the pickup for the group tour, which caused a few minutes of delay. Fortunately, the hotel bellman was considerate and helped me get on the ride. The tour registration was in English only, but there was a Japanese staff member on board who kindly explained everything. We arrived at Molokini Island in an hour. The weather was nice, and the sea was beautiful, but there were fewer fish than I expected, so it wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. The one-hour snorkeling felt a bit long, and we got out early. I heard from the staff that the water temperature was somewhat low, so renting a wetsuit (just the top) for $10 was a good decision. Without it, I think we would have been very cold. We had lunch while moving to the next spot, Wailea Point. The visibility here is not as good as Molokini Island, but it's a spot where you can see turtles. At the place the staff pointed out, we were able to see three turtles up close, which was quite fun. Overall, I think it was worth going, but it might be better not to expect too much in terms of swimming with cute fish. Also, the boat does rock quite a bit. Since you can't land on the island, you are either in the water or on the boat, so it's best to take motion sickness medication as early as possible.

モロキニ島シュノーケルツアーに参加しました。送迎を頼んだのですが、迎えにきたのがタクシーで、運転手さんも降りてこなかったし、まさかそれがグループツアーの迎えとは思わず、数分ロス。ホテルのベルマンが気を利かせてくれたので、無事に乗車できました。ツアーの受付は英語のみでしたが、乗船スタッフに日本の方がいらして、丁寧に説明して下さいました。1時間でモロキニ島に到着。お天気はよく、海も綺麗でしたが、思ったよりも魚が少なく、わー！という感じにはなりませんでした。1時間のシュノーケルはちょっと長く感じ、我々は早めに上がりました。スタッフの方に水温はそこそこ低いと聞いたので、10ドル出して借りたウエットスーツ(上着のみ)は正解でした。それが無ければ我々は寒くて仕方無かったと思います。昼食を食べながら移動し、次はワイレアポイント。こちらは透明度はモロキニ島に劣りますが、亀が見られるポイントで、スタッフの方が教えてくれたところで、三匹の亀を近くで見ることができました。これは結構楽しかったです。総じて行く価値はあったかと思いますが、あまり可愛い魚と泳げる！と期待し過ぎない方が良いかもしれません。また、結構船は揺れます。島には上陸できないので、海の中にいるか、船に居るかなので、酔い止め薬は出来るだけ事前に飲んだ方が良いと思います。

Unfortunately, we couldn't go snorkeling at Molokini this year due to the strong winds, but thanks to our attentive guide (a Japanese woman named Takako), we had a wonderful time. Her kindness was not pushy, and her quick and detailed movements were a pleasure to watch! Just seeing her in action made the boat trip worthwhile.

The space on the boat, even just enjoying burgers and spending time there, felt blissful. I think we will be relying on your services again next year. Thank you very much!

On the morning of the day, it was unfortunate that we couldn't go to Molokini Island due to strong winds. However, at one of the two snorkeling spots, I was able to swim with sea turtles, which was very satisfying. The hamburger for lunch after the first snorkeling session was one of the best I've ever had, perhaps because I was tired after coming out of the sea. Additionally, after the second snorkeling session, there was an all-you-can-drink service for beer and Mai Tais, which was also fantastic. It became a wonderful memory of Maui. Thank you very much!

During my solo trip to Maui, I participated in a snorkeling tour to Molokini Island. A taxi arranged by the tour picked me up from my condominium. When I arrived at the meeting point, a Japanese guide welcomed me. There are people working here as Japanese guides, as well as those handling tour operations and assisting Japanese guests. The guide dedicated to Japanese tourists was with us almost the entire time during the tour. On the day I participated, both guides were present, and since there were only five of us Japanese guests (two couples and myself), the guide was always nearby, providing tips on the best seating positions on the boat and the timing for meals (if we didn't go right away, we would have to wait in line and wouldn't be able to relax). However, I was lucky because this guide only works twice a week.

There were two snorkeling spots: Molokini Island and Wailea (I'm a bit fuzzy on this one...). At Molokini, we enjoyed the clarity of the water, and at Wailea, we enjoyed the fish. We even encountered sea turtles at Wailea! I got so caught up swimming with them that I drifted too far from the boat, making it difficult to return. I hope others will be careful and enjoy themselves (laughs).

Since Japanese is not spoken in Maui, having a Japanese guide was very significant and reassuring. こちらには日本語ガイドとして働いている方と、ツアー運営（ツアー中の諸々の作業）と日本人対応をする方がいるそうです。
日本語ガイドとしての方は、ツアー中はほぼ日本人観光客につきっきりで対応してくれます。
私が参加した日は両名ともいらして、なおかつ日本人はご夫婦二組と私の5人しかいなかったので、ガイドさんは常に近くにいてくれて、船の席のベストポジションや食事のタイミング（すぐ行かないと並んでしまってゆっくりできないので）など色々教えてくださいました。
ただし、このガイドさんは週2回の勤務なのだそうで、ラッキーでした。
シュノーケルスポットは二箇所。モロキニ島とワイレア（ちょっとうろ覚え…）。
モロキニ島は透明度を楽しみ、ワイレアでは魚を楽しむという感じ。
そしてワイレアではウミガメにも会えました！
夢中になって一緒に泳いでいたら船から離れすぎてしまったので、戻るのが大変でした。。
そこは気をつけて楽しんでいただきたいです（笑）
マウイ島だと日本語が通じないので、日本語ガイドさんの存在はとても大きく、安心できます。
私は初めてのひとり旅、初めてのマウイ島で不安いっぱいだったのですが、それをお話しするとツアー後も何かあれば連絡して〜と仰ってくださり、とても心強く滞在することができました。
このガイドさんには感謝でいっぱいです☆

景色も海の美しさもスタッフさんの雰囲気も、全て素晴らしかったので、またマウイに行った際には是非参加したいと思っています。

My first experience with snorkeling was thrilling, and it became an unforgettable, amazing memory!

We had a full hour at two locations: Molokini Island and a spot where we could encounter sea turtles, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful ocean with its different expressions.

The meals, including breakfast, lunch, and the final bar time, were also satisfying! The lunch burger and Maui beer were especially delicious!

Our Japanese guide, KANA, was very kind and accompanied us into the water, which made me feel secure throughout the experience.

If I ever go to Maui again, I would love to participate once more!
