Maui
We had an amazing time the guys were great. The sails went up and off we went. They served us drinks right away and they were also great. The food was good and hot and the guys ate clearly very experienced and kept us safe we really had a fun fun.
I would highly recommend this Sunset sail for anyone that wants to have a great experience and get some wind in your face. The wind Was up so that made it better.

We had an amazing experience on the sunset raft whale watching excursion. Our guides, Luke and Nick, were superb and told us so many facts about the whales. They were attentive to both my teenagers and my 9 year old, providing them with snacks and drinks and making sure that they had a great experience. We saw whales breaching and babies swimming close to the raft. It was the highlight of our trip.
This company won’t stop pestering me to leave a review so here goes:
I’ve done a lot of whale watching tours on Maui. I only chose this one because the company we typically use cannot run tours on weekends/holidays anymore (change to use abilities at the Mala boat ramp). This was the only other small group tour I could find.
Pros:
- Small group so you aren’t fighting for space/visibility
- Able to use a GoPro in the water off the side of the boat
- $10 credit per person at the General Store (which wasn’t advertised in activity description)
Cons:
- Whale watching is better from Lahaina and not as good from Ma’alaea
- Boat doesn’t go very fast so you don’t get the opportunity to get as much action
- Staff were less experienced and didn’t have a lot of knowledge about the whales/whale behavior
- Much more expensive than other tours
We did get to see whales, and it made our anniversary so special!!
We had the best time whale watching! Captain Paul, and Micah are wonderful!! Captain Paul, piloted us towards multiple whale pods, he and Micah pointed out the whales, showing us the females, calves, and escort male whales. We were given great information regarding their travels, rituals, and behaviors. It was truly an awesome experience!l We can’t wait to do it again!
They treated us with so much aloha spirit that they are the only ones we would want to go out with again!!
Fun, relaxing time. The crew were all so good and quick with a drink and a joke. We had such a great time we booked another four next week. Saw whales and a perfect sunset.
The weather we had was slightly less than perfect but we had an absolute blast with the crew, and we even got to see a few whales. All around a good time
Nick and his crew made the experience so much more than we expected. The cocktails we supreme and they ensured our glasses were never empty. The photographer did a fantastic job.
Crew and boat were amazing! Perfect relaxing evening sail with great appetizers and delicious cocktails. Captain had wonderful stories about the history of the area. Definitely recommend this trip for all!
My party of four cruised on 10/13/23. The captain, crew and food were amazing and we were first on board and directed to our table in the back. The view was facing into the galley/bathrooms/dingy and not the beautiful ocean and sunset like the rest of the tables. Quickly realizing that our view was not what we paid for, we were blocked by the other guests boarding so we couldn’t pick a better table with an actual view. Unable to eat and watch the sunset so we got to watch the crew plating the food. The captain did say we didn’t have to stay in our seats and could walk around but when we did, we were standing in front of other guests’ tables and their view. Awkward and not the experience we had expected and paid for.
We took the Sunset Sail on the Trilogy I from Maalaea Harbor. The crew was fantastic. Captain Carrie is a wonderful human! We all felt very welcome & the crew couldn't have been more sweet. The drinks were flowing & the appetizers were tasty. If you're ever in Maui, make sure you take this sunset cruise. You will not regret it.
The meals on board were amazing and the sunset alongside too was great. Sending our love to families on Maui

Delicious foods, and the music was amazing, we wish we could be back!
The crew on the cruise were super fun and made sure to engage with everyone. The cocktails were fantastic and were served quickly. The food was good, a plate of appetizers was served to each guest, so not a choice if there was something you didn't care for or wanted more of. The sunset was spectacular! I would absolutely do this cruise again.
Great views of the Maui mountains from the sea, a delicious dinner as well. It was one of our favorite evening on the honeymoon.
My husband and I did the sunset sail with my sister and brother in law and we all had such a great time! The crew were fabulous, very attentive and the photographer took great pictures and we bought them, I highly recommend that! We were on a new sail boat and it was beautiful and the bathrooms were huge, not at all what I would have expected! We will definitely do this again
The crew was so kind, fun, and hospitable. They served us drinks and connected with us throughout the ride. The vessel was clean and spatious. The food and drinks were great! Really fun and smooth adventure overall.
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our entire family in Maui and this was one of the first activities we all participated in. We have a 12-year-old down syndrome granddaughter who loved the Polynesian dancing and actually stood up and danced with the dancer on board. It was such a dear Experience to observe. The wonderful gentleman on the guitar played a very special song for my husband and myself by Rod Stewart called…..Have I told you lately. Even though it was very windy we had a great experience!
We went on trilogy 5 for our honeymoon on 7/12 and the crew went above and beyond to accommodate us, asking if we wanting to put any song request on for our honeymoon, and being super attentive and friendly in their service. All of the crew was awesome and made the experience great. Definitely would go again next time we're in maui.

Leisurely cruising with entertainment snd delicious food. Not to mention the beauty of the ocean, moon and city lights. Just took our second trip. It was even better than the first.
Awesome experience on the beautiful Ali Nui. Captain Bre and crew worked so hard to make the entire experience fun and memorable! Everything from the boat, sailing, food, service and the sunset was top notch. Highly recommend!
This is the 2nd time my husband and I have taken the Maui Princess Dinner Cruise and it was perfect. Dinner was good, cruising along the coast and seeing the sites was fun and the sunset was spectacular!
The staff are awesome food and drinks were great, took my wife for our 15 years anniversary it was very beautiful we had a great time!
We had an absolute blast on the sunset cruise. The staff was increíble, you can tell they truly love what they do. From the drinks to the show, everything was fantastic.
