The tunnels were the best part with some being completely pitch dark with headlamps doing the work!

The Napali Coast tour on a medium-sized boat is highly recommended. Since the boarding time is long, a small boat lacks a roof and has limited restroom facilities. With a large boat, you can't get close to the cliffs, and the boat speed is slow. A medium-sized boat offers the best of both worlds. We were able to go right under the waterfalls cascading from the cliffs and experience the spray. The captain navigated the boat professionally, and the two female staff members kept the atmosphere lively with their smiles. When we gave tips upon disembarking, all the staff responded with "thank you" in Japanese. We were also very satisfied and enjoyed the long tour with smiles. I highly recommend it.

ナパリコーストは中型船でのツアーがおすすめ。乗船時間が長いので小型船だと屋根がなくトイレも限定的。大型船だと岩壁近くに近寄れず船速も遅い。中型船は良いとこ取りです。岩壁から流れ落ちる滝の真下に入ってくれて滝に打たれることが出来ました。船長はプロフェッショナルな船裁き、女性2名の添乗スタッフも笑顔で適切に盛り上げてくれました。チップを下船時に渡したら、全スタッフから「ありがとう」の日本語が返ってきました。こちらも笑顔で大満足で長いツアーを楽しめました。おすすめです。

The boat ride takes just under 30 minutes, followed by a stay of about 20 minutes in the fern cave, allowing you to rest and enjoy sightseeing. Kayak rentals are also available on this river, and it's a lot of fun to encounter many things while moving by boat.

片道30分弱の船での移動、20分程度のシダ洞窟での滞在、身体を休めて観光ができます。この川ではカヤックのレンタルもやっていて、ボートで移動中に沢山遭遇して楽しいです。

We took the kids and grandkids here for a family vacation and wanted them to see some of the things we have seen before and enjoyed. We all had a wonderful time and never disappointed by your family cruise up the river to Grotto. Thank you so very much.

It's a fun cruise with vibrant local hula dancing and music performed by locals. The music continues throughout the journey, keeping you entertained.

The walk in the tropical vegetation was the best part.

It was a nice experience, getting the flavor of Hawaii songs and dance and also that was a short walk to a cave filled with germs that was really awesome.

Well organized experience. Our guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. M-taps (if I got the nickname right) was outstanding. He made the experience even better with his singing and stories.

Kayaking on the river was a good workout. Our guide, Samuel, was amazing

The crew were super friendly and kind. The live music and the commentary of the guide was very entertaining and informative through-out. The river ride was pleasant and breezy. Definitely a nice experience if you want to do with family. We went to the Fern Grotto at the end of the cruise and the short walk to the grotto through the tropical forest was so cool. Overall a neat thing to do in Kauai.

Better instructions needed for pickup at the Point at Poipu. Pickup is at the entrance to the property. Buses do not enter the property. Current instructions state pickup is out front. Of the main entrance to the building??

We had a wonderful time on this mini cruise to Fern Grotto. We loved hearing about it's history, listening to the music and being entertained by a talented group of people. Every seat was a good one for views and the short walk to the grotto was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this relaxing trip!

This was my first time visiting Kauai, even though it was my ninth trip to Hawaii. It was the most enjoyable luau experience I've ever had.

First, after checking in, we were guided on a tram through the beautiful Smith's garden, which features peacocks and more. After that, we watched the imu ceremony and then had our meal.

During the meal, there was a band performance. A tall man who greeted us spoke to us in broken Japanese. He helped guide my husband and me, who were participating individually, to our seats. I later learned that he was Kamika Smith, the organizer. He went up on stage and sang beautifully, leaving us mesmerized. Mrs. Smith also welcomed us. After finishing our meal, we took a nice walk to the stage, which was just the right amount of exercise after eating. There was even a garden that resembled a Japanese garden. It was a beautiful garden.

I had read in the guidebook that the show included not only Hawaiian and Tahitian dances but also dances from other countries, such as New Zealand, Korea, China, Japan, and the Philippines. However, I discovered something when we got there. There were no Chinese or Korean guests that day; my husband and I were the only Asians. The Asian dance presented as a foreign dance was actually the Tokyo Ondo from Japan. I couldn't help but feel that the Smith family must have chosen the music based on where the attendees were from. Instead of Chinese or Korean dances, we had the Tokyo Ondo. I was deeply moved.

The food was delicious, and above all, I was so happy to have had a conversation with Kamika Smith himself and to experience the warm hospitality of the Smith family.

　まず、チェックインしたあと孔雀などのいる美しいスミスさんの庭園をトラムで案内していただきます。そのあと、イムの儀式を見て、お食事になります。
　食事の間には、バンド演奏をしていただきます。声をかけてくださった背の高い男性が、片言の日本語で話しかけてくださいました。ツアーの人が多く、個人参加の私たち夫婦を彼が、席に案内してくださいました。日本に帰ってから知ったのですが、彼が、カミカ・スミスさんでした。主催者さんだったのです。彼は、ステージに上がり、歌われたのですが、うっとりするほど、お上手でした。スミス婦人も歓迎してくださいました。食事が終わったあと、ステージまで、歩いていきました。ちょうどいい食事の後の散歩タイムでした。日本庭園のようなものもありました。美しいお庭です。
　ショーは、ハワイアンやタヒチダンスだけでなく、他の国、ニュージーランドや韓国、中国、日本、フィリピンなど多国の踊りもあると事前にガイドブックで知っていましたが、行って初めて知ったことがあります。それは、当日のお客さんに中国や韓国の人はおられず、アジア人は私たち夫婦二人だけでした。外国の踊りとして披露いただいたアジアの踊りは、日本の東京音頭だったのです。スミスファミリーさんは、出席者がどこから来てるのかを見て、選曲されてるとしか思えなかったのです。中国、韓国の踊りでなく東京音頭だったのです。感激しました。
　食事も美味しかったし、何といってもカミカ・スミスさんご本人とお話しできたこと、温かいスミスファミリーのおもてなしに幸せな時間を過ごさせていただきました。

This is my first time visiting Kauai, even though it's my ninth trip to Hawaii. It's the filming location of Elvis Presley's movie "Blue Hawaii." Memories of my youth come rushing back. I've always wanted to visit here, so I'm overwhelmed with emotion.

I came with my husband, and we are a couple aged 70 and 69. It's said that couples who visit here will find happiness. We took a boat tour that lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip. At the fern cave, we landed and enjoyed hula dancing and music.

There were only two other families of Japanese couples and their daughters who were around the same age as us. Although everything was in English, we had no trouble communicating.

It was a romantic and sacred-feeling place. I tried to upload photos, but unfortunately, I couldn't.

青春の思い出が蘇ってきます。一度訪れてみたいと思っていたので、感無量です。
夫と二人で来ました。70才と69才の夫婦。ここを訪れたカップルは幸せになれるとか、言われています。船に乗って、往復で1時間20分のツアーでした。シダの洞窟では、上陸してフラダンスや音楽を鑑賞しました。
日本人は、私たち夫婦と同じ年代のご夫婦と娘さんのご家族の二組だけでした。
英語だけですが、言葉の不自由はないです。
ロマンチックで、かつ、神聖な感じのする場所でした。
写真が、アップしようとしたのですが、できなくて残念です。

This excursion is a must do. The views were incredible. It does take time to get there, 2 mile row in after which you hike for about 1.25 miles to the falls. The guide told us some great facts about the area. They teach you how to paddle if you have never done that before. You do have to cross the river and depending on the rainfall, it can be deep. This is mildly strenuous, you will be walking on uneven ground with rocks and cross a river, good water/hiking shoes a must. You will need to help carry the kayaks to the water and back, not very long and there are usually 4 people to a kayak to carry. Part of the trail does have wood planks to walk on, but the first part of the trail does not. It was beautiful and the falls were full when we got to the top, not always the case, depends on the amount of rainfall they have had. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best excursions we did while visiting Kauai. We highly recommend this!!! The scenery was an amazing, the stories of the area, and the wonderful guides we had. The guides took their time in explaining things and making sure we were safe and felt comfortable on the trails. The stories were fantastic and there was plenty of time and view the sights and take pictures. This is a must do and we can’t wait to go again when we are in Kauai!!

This was our third try to get this ride. Weather kept us from seeing this amazing island and coast. This time…oh my! The weather cooperated and we were given quite a tour. Our pilot, Duke, was terrific. Duke was so knowledgeable about the island. Plus, Jurassic Park soundtrack. Go ahead and splurge for the front seats…you will not be disappointed! We recommend this flight for everyone. Blue Hawaiian is terrific!

The scenery was beautiful. The guide was awesome. I highly recommend this.

Its a cheap, pretty trip down the river and then you get to see a really pretty spot with a little cave and waterfall in a jungle like setting. Id say go. It only takes a couple hours. Guides were sometimes funny, sometimes looked like they were in hell lol, but it didn't matter, it was fun. You should go.

This really wraps up the south shores perfectly while cruising, ending with Fern Grotto was perfect.

Not only do you get mountain tubing, you get a little forest AWD ride beforehand that is incredible on its own. This is well worth it in so many ways!

What gorgeous greenery sights, not to mention the endless waterfalls!

Excellent experience! Our pilot, Hayze made us feel very comfortable. This was our first ever helicopter ride. We had the most memorable doors off scenic over view of the island! Our pilot was awesome and he shared and pointed out so many sites and facts! This ride won’t disappoint!

The staff were all fun. It was a fun and refreshing mild adventure. The food was much better than expected. Just sandwiches but on soft, buttery croissants with really fresh cheese and veggie condiments. The pictures are very pricey so we skipped them. Enjoy!
